Garry Sytsma
Garry Joseph Sytsma, 53, died Friday.
He was born April 11, 1946, in New Jersey. A salesman in the cable and satellite business, he was a three-year resident of Las Vegas.
He is survived by his wife, Maree; son, Derek, both of Las Vegas; daughter, Samantha Abate of Richmond, Va.; and two grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Bunkers Mortuary.

Bette Thompson
Bette Thompson, 73, died Thursday in Nathan Adelson Hospice.
She was born May 9, 1926, in Texas. A retired singer, she was a 12-year resident of Henderson.
She is survived by her daughter, Heather Hodson of Sandy Valley; sons, Clarke Hodson of Stillwater, Okla., and Hunter Hodson of Henderson; sister, Alice Gentry of Alexandria, Va.; and two grandchildren.

Zena Titus
Zena Titus, 63, died Thursday in a Las Vegas hospital.
She was born Oct. 13, 1936, in Hilo, Hawaii. A minister, she was a four-year resident of Las Vegas.
She is survived by her daughters, Cori Knight and Velvet Steel, both of Las Vegas; son, Solomon Wong; stepmother, Everhart Wong, both of Hawaii; sisters, Kristy Wills, Rebekah Paul, Glori Justice, Celes Teal and Philadelphia Chandler, all of Las Vegas, Eve Mills, Mary Wong and Gena Kealoha, all of Hawaii; brothers, Philip Wong Jr. and Jake Sterling, both of Las Vegas, Elroy Wong and Phil Roman, both of Hawaii, and Isaac Wong of California; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday followed with services and from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Thursday followed with services at Palm Mortuary-Eastern. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Margaret "Carolyn" Vanderhoof, 67, died Friday in a Las Vegas hospital.
She was born March 3, 1932, in Quantico, Va. A retired retail salesperson, she was a three-year resident of Las Vegas.
She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Grupe of Las Vegas, Deborah Rodenburg of Springfield, Ill., and Diane Durant of Littleton, Colo.; sons, Richard Jr. of Bloomington, Ill., and Joseph of Aurora, Ill.; brother, Michael Heil of Dayton, Ohio; and 11 grandchildren.

Charles White
Charles E. White, 75, died Friday.
He was born Oct. 13, 1924, in Providence, R.I. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a retired operating engineer in construction, a member of American Legion, Operating Engineers locals 12 and 57, and a 10-year resident of Henderson.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara of Henderson; daughters, Maureen Forster of California, Paula Reilly of Connecticut, Gayle Antunes, Barbara Franzblau and Charlene; sons, Chuck and Jim, all of Rhode Island, and Danny of California; and 16 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at Palm Mortuary-Eastern followed with services at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church.

Josephine Wilson, 79, died Thursday in a Henderson care center.
She was born Sept. 5, 1920, in Golden City, Mo. A homemaker, she was active in the Multiple Sclerosis Society and a 35-year resident of Henderson.
She is survived by her companion Frank Bulicz of Henderson.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until services at noon Tuesday at Palm Mortuary-Henderson followed with burial in Palm Memorial Park-Henderson. The family requests memorial donations be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
