WILLIAM G. ATKINSON JR., 72, of West Paterson died Wednesday. Before retiring in 1990, he was a machinist for Morrison Machine Co., Paterson. Subsequently he worked for Ken-Mar, Paterson. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a volunteer with the West Paterson Fire Department and the Paterson First Aid Squad, and a former member of the Paterson Fire Department First Aid Squad. BERTHA A. SOKOLOWSKA DOVIAK, 82, of Clifton, formerly of Garfield, died Wednesday. Before retiring, she worked for Dexter Knitting Co., Wallington, and previously, for I.C. Herman Co., Garfield. She was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, Clifton. Arrangements: Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, Van Houten Avenue, Clifton.
 

ALBERT HILL DUNCAN Sr., 74, of Clifton, formerly of Paterson, died Thursday. Before retiring, he was an oil burner technician for Great Falls Heating Co., and previously, for Sandy Hill Oil Co. and Romary Oil Co., all in Paterson. He founded the Passaic County Fuel Dealers Association, and was a member of Pompton Lakes Elks Lodge 1895.
 

JOSEPH ELCAVAGE, 80, of Clifton died Thursday. Before retiring in 1986, he was an environmental technician for Hoffmann-La Roche Inc., Nutley, where he worked for 45 years. A Marine Corps veteran of World War II and the Korean War, he was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6487, Clifton. He was a member of Allwood Community Church, and a former committeeman for Boy Scout Troop 22, both in Clifton. Arrangements: Allwood Funeral Home, Clifton.

CATHERINE M. FEASTER GRAPPE, 75, of Elizabethtown, Pa., formerly of Lodi, died Wednesday. Before retiring, she was a meat wrapper for ShopRite markets, Hasbrouck Heights, where she worked for 40 years. HELENE TAKACS GROWN, 84, of Edgewater died Thursday. Before retiring in 1980, she owned the Bergen Citizen Newspaper, Edgewater, where she worked for 32 years. DOROTHY HART, 79, of Hawthorne, formerly of Prospect Park, died Wednesday. Before retiring in 1983, she was a clerk for Curtiss-Wright Corp., Wood-Ridge, where he worked for 41 years. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Wyckoff, and its XYZ Club and Grace Seniors. She was a member of the Hawthorne Republican Club and The Valley Hospital Auxiliary, Ridgewood. JOSEPH T. INNOCENTI, 80, of Lanoka Harbor, formerly of Cliffside Park, died Wednesday. Before retiring, he was a police chief in Cliffside Park. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, the Police Chiefs associations of Bergen County and New Jersey, Policemen's Benevolent Association Local 96, and the New Jersey Honor Legion.
