GERARDO V. DI BENEDETTO, 61, of Little Falls died Sunday. He was born in Italy and came to the United States in 1955. He was a supervisor in the injury compensation department of the U.S. Postal Service in Newark, where he worked for 35 years. He was an Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post 300, Newark. He also was a past president and treasurer of Club Aquilonese, Montclair, treasurer of the Montclair Cystinosis Foundation, a member of the Postal Supervisors Union in Newark, and the Societa Italiana Ieri Oggi Domani, Rutherford. He also was a member and past president of the Lions Club; a member of the Junior Auto Mechanics Club, Bergenfield, and was a former district representative for the Boys Scouts of America.
