He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army Air Force from 1944 thru 1946, following which he was a civilian employee of the Air Force in McAllen, TX where he trained Army pilots. Bill lived in Omaha, NE from 1966 until 1987 and was employed by the Peter Kewit & Sons Construction Company for 15 years as a corporate pilot. He was a member of the American Legion Post #1 in Omaha, an avid golfer and enjoyed woodworking.
