A funeral service will be held by the graveside on Friday, October 4, at 11 a.m. from Maplewood Cemetery. Father Frank M. Raffo will officiate.

Charles R. Frost, 60, of 574 McArthur Pond Road, died Monday, September 30, [2002] at Duke University Medical Center in Durham. 
A funeral service will be held Friday, October 4, from the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home of Goldsboro with US Air Force Chaplain Mike Garran officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Wayne Memorial Park Cemetery, Goldsboro.

ALBERTSON -- Bonnie Hill Herring, 87, of 146 John David Grady Road, died Wednesday, November 27, [2002]  at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation for Mount Olive. 
A funeral service was held at 7 p.m. Friday, November 29, from the chapel of Pink Hill Funeral Home, followed by visitation. The Rev. Bob Fussell officiated. Burial was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 30, in Oak Ridge Memorial Park.

Norma Jean Smeal
GOLDSBORO--Norma Jean “Jeannie” Williford Smeal, 38, of 481 N. Beston Road, died Saturday evening, November 30, [2002]  at Wayne Memorial Hospital. 
A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 3, at 11 a.m. from Wayne Memorial Park with the Rev. Robert Wilson and Pastor Steve Singleton officiating.
The family was to have received friends Monday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times at the home, 481 Beston Road, LaGrange or the home of her mother, 103 W. New Hope Road, Goldsboro.

Gouldia Irene Underwood
GOLDSBORO -- Mrs. Gouldia Irene Summerlin Underwood, 89, of 1803 O’Berry Center Road, died Friday, November 29, [2002]  at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A graveside service was held Monday, December 2, at 2 p.m. from Willow Dale Cemetery with Dr. Billy Seate and the Rev. Robert Bame, of St. Paul United Methodist Church and the Rev. Robert Goff, of Oak Forest Road Church of Christ, officiating.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the St. Paul United Methodist Church Senior Companion Fund, 204 E. Chestnut Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
Arrangements are being handled by Seymour Funeral Home.

BEAUTANCUS -- Luvenia Grady Cruse Kornegay, 86, of 1197 Beautancus Road, Mount Olive, in the Beautancus community, died Wednesday, November 27, [2002]  in Wake Med in Raleigh.
A funeral service was held Sunday, December 1, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home with the Rev. Jesse Cruse officiating. Interment was in Pine Crest Cemetery in Warsaw.

Katie J. Adams
FAISON -- Mrs. Katie Jones Adams, 95, died Tuesday night, November 26, [2002]  in Plumblee Nursing Center in Plymouth.
A funeral service was held Friday, November 29, at 2:30 p.m. from Faison United Methodist Church with the pastor, the Rev. Henry Swanzey officiating. Interment was in Wayne Memorial Park, Goldsboro.
Memorials may be made to Faison United Methodist Church, PO Box 417, Faison, NC 28341.
Arrangements were handled by Tyndall Funeral Home of Mount Olive.

Jimmy Henry Kelly, 69, died early Wednesday morning, November 27, [2002]  at his home at 969 N.C. Hwy. 403 West.
A funeral service was held Saturday, November 30, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home. The Rev. Michael Whitesides and the Rev. Millard Bounds officiated. Interment was in Wayne Memorial Park, Goldsboro. Fellow officers of the Duplin County Sheriff’s Dept. were pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.

GOLDSBORO--Willie Henry Coker, 61, of 465 Overman Road, Goldsboro, died early Wednesday morning, November 27, [2002]  in Wake Med in Raleigh.
A funeral service was held at 6 p.m. Friday, November 29, from the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home, Mount Olive with the Rev. Tom Dorman officiating. Committal and interment were Saturday, November 30, at 10 a.m. in Seven Springs Methodist Church Cemetery in Seven Springs.

Eula U. Swinson
Mrs. Eula Underhill Swinson, 81, died Saturday, November 30, [2002]  in Wayne Memorial Hospital, Goldsboro.
A funeral service was held Sunday, December 1, at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Lupton officiating. Committal and interment was on Monday, December 2, at 1 p.m. in Maplewood Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Rones Chapel United Methodist Church, 138 Garner’s Chapel Rd., Mount Olive.

Daniel Becton Sutton, 22, of 455 Carter/Thigpen Road, Mount Olive, died Tuesday morning, December 3, [2002]  at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill after a battle with muscular dystrophy.
A funeral service was held at 7 p.m. Thursday, December 5, from the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home. Bishop Jimmy Herring officiated. The family was to have received friends following the service. A committal service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 6, in the Thigpen Family Cemetery at the home.
Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, c/o First Union Bank, 3750 Oleander Dr., Wilmington, NC 28403.

WARSAW -- Mrs. Shirley Tew Killette died Wednesday, December 4 [2002]. Born November 21, 1934 in Johnston County, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Killette; her parents, Colon and Ruth Tew; and a brother, W.C. Tew Jr.
A funeral service will be held Friday, December 6, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Community Funeral Home, Warsaw. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens of Warsaw.
The family was to have received friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Thursday, December 5, at Community Funeral Home, Warsaw. Family and friends will be received, at other times, at the home of Teddy and Bobby Bostic, 526 Abner Phillips Road, Warsaw.

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 4, from the chapel of Community Funeral Home, Warsaw. The Rev. Robert Bandy officiated. Burial was in Rockfish Cemetery, Wallace.

GOLDSBORO--Sarah Juanita Reardon Thompson, 77, of 606 Kentucky Dr. died Tuesday afternoon, February 11, [2003]  at Britthaven of Goldsboro.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 14, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The Rev. George Fox will be officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
The family was to have received friends on Thursday evening, February 13, from 7-9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times at the home of her daughter, Ruth Blizzard, 606 Kentucky Dr., Goldsboro.

Robert Henderson Ezzell
WARSAW -- Robert Henderson Ezzell, 67, died Monday, February 10, [2003]  at Duplin General Hospital in Kenansville.
Born December 11, 1935 to the late Jim Ezzell and Mrs. Elsie Summerlin Ezzell of Sampson County.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 13, from the chapel of Community Funeral Home, Warsaw. The Rev. Jerry Wayne Ezzell officiated. Burial was in Faison Cemetery.

Morris A. Swinson
Morris Adair Swinson, 86, a resident of Crest Drive in Mount Olive, died Wednesday morning, February 12, [2003]  in Wayne Memorial Hospital, Goldsboro.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 14, from the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Burton officiating. Masonic Rites will be given at the interment service at Wayne Memorial Park, Goldsboro which will follow.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Friday.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 28, at 3 p.m. at Seven Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Ashley Summerlin officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Ceme-tery near Seven Springs.
Family members were to greet friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home at Goldsboro and at other times at the home at 4709 Indian Springs Road, Seven Springs.
The family requests that in addition to flowers and in mem-ory of Ricky Avon Thompson, memorial gifts be directed to the Seven Springs Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 116, Seven Springs, NC 28578.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday evening, May 27, at 7 p.m. at Brogden United Methodist Church at Dudley with the Rev. Bob Kretzu offi-ciating. Entombment will be Wednesday, May 28, at 10:30 a.m. in the Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum near Goldsboro.
Family members will greet friends Tuesday evening imme-diately following the service at the Brogden United Methodist Church at Dudley and at other times at the home, 122 Fulton Road, Dudley.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, from the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home. The Rev. Frank Harrison will officiate. Interment will be in the Dail Family Cemetery.
Visitation was to be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 27, from 7-9 p.m. and at other times at the home.
