FRANK PAUL PURDY
Frank Paul Purdy of Rocky Point, N.C. went to meet Jesus Sunday, August 27, 2000 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center.
He was born in Wake County, NC, on March 10, 1947, the son of the late Lewis William and Edna Paul Purdy.
Mr. Purdy was a member and past deacon of Burgaw Presbyterian Church. He was the owner and operator of Dee's Drugs in Burgaw, NC since 1980. He was a 1972 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received his pharmacy degree. He was a member of King Solomon Lodge #138 AF & AM and the Wilmington Scottish Rite Bodies and Sudan Temple.
Surviving are his wife, Debra Witzler Purdy of the home; one son, Jason Witzler Purdy and wife Casey of Cary, NC; one daughter, Emily Rosina Purdy of the home; one brother, James Purdy and wife Penny of Florida.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 2, 2000 at Andrews Mortuary, Market Street Chapel by Rev. Horace Hilton.
The family will receive friends from 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. Friday at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel.

TERESA KAY PASCARELLA
TAMPA, FLORIDA - Teresa Kay Pascarella, 48, died Wednesday August 23, 2000 at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Florida. She was born June 8, 1952 in Horry County, SC. She was the daughter of Verneice Hardee Hilburn and the late Lloyd Hilburn. Survivors include 7 sisters; Barbara Ann Grainger, Judy Haithcock, Phillis Carroll all of Conway, SC, Brenda Norris of Shallotte, NC, Mary Jones of Georgetown, SC, Deborah Perry of Clearwater, FL. and Cynthia Barnhill of Whiteville, NC; 2 brothers Dale Barnhill of Camden, SC and Timmy Barnhill of Whiteville, NC.
Graveside services will be held at Cherry Hill Baptist Church in Alsbrook, SC on August 30, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. East Coast Cremation and Funeral Services is in charge.
JOAN ELLEN AMBROSIO
Joan Ellen Ambrosio, passed away Friday, August 25, 2000. Joan was born May 31, 1934, in Astoria, New York, the daughter of William and Marjorie (Scheffler) Leonhardt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ambrosio in 1995; and by a brother William Leonhardt Jr.
Surviving are 2 sons Andrew and wife Lisa Ambrosio of Richland, Thomas Ambrosio of Blue Point, N.Y. 2 grandchildren Nicole and Travis, a brother Richard Leonhardt of Centerport, N.Y.
Mrs. Ambrosio was a recent resident of Hampstead, NC.

Mrs. Brenda Marie Bryant Powell, age 40, of 111 Sixth Street, Rose Hill, NC died Monday, August 28, 2000 at Glenncare Nursing Home in Warsaw, NC.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2000 at Mt. Hebron Apostolic Temple #3 in Watha, NC. Burial will follow at the Rose Hill Funeral Home Cemetery in Magnolia, NC. Bishop Curtis Mosley will officiate.
Survivors include: spouse, Joe E. Powell of Rose Hill, NC; son, Octavious Bryant of Rose Hill, NC; daughter, Mica Powell of Rose Hill, NC; mother, Ethel Mae Bryant, of Rose Hill, NC; three brothers, Wilbert Bryant (Shirley Ann) of Rose Hill, Tony Bryant (Cyndia) of Shasta City, New Mexico and David Bryant of Carmel, CA; four sisters, Ruth Bryant of Rose Hill; Annie Faye Shaw (Oscar Jr.) of Kenansville, NC; Diann Gardner (Ruben) of Erwin, NC; and Hazel Williams (Walter) of Godwin, NC; maternal grandmother, Annie Swann, of Mt. MR. CLINTON EDGE BELLAMY
SOUTHPORT - Mr. Clinton Edge Bellamy, 75, former Southport resident, died Monday, August 28, 2000 at Britthaven of Wrightsville.
The funeral will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Peacock-Newnam Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mark Owens officiating. Interment will follow in Northwood Cemetery.
Mr. Bellamy was born February 12, 1925 in Brunswick County, a son of the late James Draudy and Carrie Edge Bellamy. He was a past president and member for many years of Southport Lions Club, formerly served as Recorders Court judge in Southport, and was a retired building contractor in and around Southport. He was an avid fisherman, had been very active in local politics, and was of the Methodist faith.
He was the widower of Lorraine H. Bellamy and is survived by a son, Johnny Bellamy of Southport; a daughter, Susan Bellamy Earman of Savannah, Georgia; a brother, Pete Bellamy of Little River, South Carolina; 3 step-brothers, Aubrey, Jack, and Ralph Bellamy, all of Hick|man's Cross Roads; 4 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Peacock-Newnam Funeral Home from 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday and at other times will be at the home of Bonner Herring, 112 W. Bay Street, Southport.
