HARRELLS -- Earl Jameson Lewis, 71, of 5425 N.C. 210 E. died Wednesday in New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Riverside Baptist Church by the Rev. Currie Long. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife, Larue Lewis; a son, David O. Lewis of Harrells; two sisters, Aileen Schaller of Durham and Louise Craft of Huntsville, Ala.; and a brother, Claude Lewis of Salem, Va.

Dobbin Holmes Jr. 

Dobbin Holmes Jr., 65, of 1461 Dunn Road, Fayetteville, died Thursday in his home.

He was a salesman for Patrick Ford for many years.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel by the Revs. Lawrence Lugar and William Pauley. Burial will be in Cross Creek Cemetery.

Mr. Holmes is survived by his wife, Dorothy L. Holmes of Fayetteville.

RED SPRINGS -- Mrs. Mary Green Norris, 85, of Red Springs died Wednesday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

She was a member of Westside Baptist Church.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Westside Baptist Church by the Revs. Eric Rich and Tully Hunter. Burial will be in Alloway Cemetery.

Mrs. Norris is survived by a son, Edward Norris of Red Springs, and a brother, Willie Prevatte of Roseboro.

CLINTON -- Ms. Beulah Marvis Jackson Hall, 76, of Clinton died Thursday in Southwood Nursing Center.

She was a homemaker.

SANFORD -- Everett Perkins Brooks, 76, of 2531 Buffalo Church Road died Wednesday in Central Carolina Hospital.

CLINTON -- Mrs. Johncie Lee Jacobs, 56, of 716 Sampson Homes died Wednesday in Sampson Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Jacobs is survived by a daughter, Janice Aderinto of Chicago, and two grandchildren.

LEWISTOWN, Pa. -- Mrs. Hilda K. McMullen of 537 Highland Ave. died Tuesday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, N.C.

HOLDEN BEACH -- Henry Carl Laugisch, 60, of 2668 Fairway Drive, formerly of Fayetteville, died Wednesday in his home.

Mr. Laugisch is survived by his wife, Helen P. Laugisch of the home; a daughter, Laurie L. Hicks of Supply; three sons, Frederick K. Laugisch of Blanchester, Ohio, Henry P. Laugisch of Kings Mountain and Mark R. Laugisch of Raleigh; and three grandchildren.

ASH -- Ms. Ava Simmons, 92, of Ash died Thursday.

She was a member of Britton Baptist Church.

Mrs. Bonita Espinosa, 37, of Fayetteville died Tuesday in her home.

She was a member of Evangelical House of God in Spring Lake and a teller for Southern National Bank.

GARLAND -- Mrs. Eula Riley West, 86, of 10521 Old Mintz Road died Thursday in her home.

Mrs. West was a member of Cumberland United Methodist Church and a Sunday school teacher. She was a foster parent of 32 children for 15 years.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Cumberland United Methodist Church by the Rev. Raymond Myrick. Burial will be in Cumberland Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. West is survived by a daughter, Martha West of Fayetteville; two sons, Mitchell West of Fayetteville and Richard West of Lumberton; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was a retired nurse.

Mrs. Morris is survived by a daughter, Ethelene Barnes of Elizabethtown; three sons, Elton Russ and Joseph “Buck” Russ, both of Elizabethtown, and James Morris of Dallas; a sister, Elma L. Hardwick of Elizabethtown; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

FAIRMONT -- David Scott, 76, of Route 1 died Thursday in Duke University Medical Center in Durham.

He was a retired supervisor for the city of Lumberton and was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.

She was a special education teacher for 30 years and was a member of First Baptist Church.
