SPRING LAKE -- Mrs. Daphane Eleanor Walker-Hoggard, 54, of Spring Lake, died Monday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fay- etteville.
Mrs. Walker-Hoggard was a nurse for 22 years in New York. She also was a dietitian on Fort Bragg and at Western Harnett Middle School in Lillington.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. today in Tucker & Sons Funeral Home chapel in Fayette- ville.
Mrs. Walker-Hoggard is survived by her husband, Curtis Hoggard Jr. of Little Falls, N.J.; a son, Curtis Hoggard III of New York; a daughter, Monique A. Walker of Fayetteville; her father and stepmother, Ulester and Jennifer Walker of Spring Lake; her mother, Mabel E. Bellamy of Virginia Beach, Va.; five sisters, Barbara Linthicum, Rose V. Patrick C. Rogers
CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Air Force Tech. Sgt. Patrick C. Rogers, 35, of Clearwater, formerly of Pope Air Force Base, N.C., died Monday in his home.
Mr. Rogers was assigned to the 24th Special Tactics Squadron on Pope Air Force Base in 1990. He served in Panama during Operation Just Cause and Mogadishu, Somalia, in 1993. During his military career, he received several medals including, National Defense Service Medal, Bronze Star with Valor, Purple Heart and the Kuwait Liberation Medal.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in Urban Winkler Funeral Home in Connersville, Ind., by the Rev. William Peterson. A graveside service with military honors will be conducted at Union Cemetery.
Mr. Rogers is survived by a brother, Michael G. Rogers of Chicago.
