STEDMAN - William Alfred Pollock Jr., 79, of 6605 Roebud Road, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
Mr. Pollock was an Army veteran of World War II.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Magnolia Baptist Church by the Rev. Adam Hatley. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Pollock is survived by a son, Steven Pollock of Stedman; two daughters, Susan Owen of Roseboro and Sandra Henderson of Raleigh; two sisters, Virginia Golding of Sanford and Gladys Marg of Clarksville, Tenn.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Helen Rhodes Hall, 66, of 5184 Hummingbird Place, Fayetteville, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Old Bluff Church cemetery in Wade by the Rev. Sherrill Pope.
Mrs. Hall is survived by her husband, Shelton Hall of Fayetteville; three daughters, Betty H. Wood of Godwin, Denise H. Ontiveros of Alderson, W.Va., and Shelby H. Evers of Fayetteville; a brother, Cecil Rhodes of Springfield, Va.; three sisters, Edith Thomas of White Oak, Amy Hawley of Dunn and Violet Johnson of Winston-Salem; and 10 grandchildren.

Mrs. Lillie McKoy, 66, of 1700 Shaw Road, Fayetteville, died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2002, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Second Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. Sammy Shropshire. Burial will be in Cross Creek Cemetery No 4.
Mrs. McKoy is survived by a daughter, Mary Moore of the home; four brothers, Elmore Moore and Luke Moore, both of Baltimore, and John F. Moore of Dillon, S.C., and Hensen Moore of Rowland; and a grandson.
A viewing will be held today from 1 to 8 p.m. at Wiseman Mortuary.

A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church by Father Bill Upah. Burial will be in Clinton Cemetery.
Mrs. Kaleel is survived by a son, Richard Kaleel Jr. of Clinton; a daughter, Rose K. Bissette of Wilmington; a brother, Shelton Price of Mount Olive; and four grandchildren.

Raheem was a student at Pinehurst Elementary School.

Mr. Stogsdill was a law enforcement officer before retiring.

Dr. Robert J. Gibbons
PINEHURST - Dr. Robert J. Gibbons, 85, of Pinehurst, died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2002, in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
Dr. Gibbons was a captain in the Army Medical Corps for three years and a veteran of World War II. He was also chief of surgery at Hazleton State General Hospital and Hazleton-St. Joseph Medical Center in Hazelton, Pa., before retiring in 1981. Dr. Gibbons was chairman of the board of trustees at Hazleton-St. Joseph Medical Center and a member of the Luzerne County Medical Society in Pennsylvania, where he was chairman of the grievance committee.
A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Drums, Pa. Arrangements are being handled by Boles Funeral Home & Crematory of Pinehurst.
Dr. Gibbons is survived by his wife, Mary Patricia Gibbons of Pinehurst; a daughter, Mary Catherine Barnes of Potomac, Md.; a sister, Sister Mary X. Gibbons; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Mr. Littleton was a member of First Baptist Church in Southern Pines and an Army veteran of World War II. He was an installation supply officer at Fort Bragg before retiring in 1973.

ERWIN - Mrs. Mamie Jones Harrington, 93, of 3331 McArthur Road, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, in Good Hope Hospital.
Mrs. Harrington owned and operated Jones & Harrington General Merchandise Store before retiring. She was a member of Mount Pisgah Presbyterian Church, where she was an organist for 52 years.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Mount Pisgah Presbyterian Church in Broadway by the Rev. Doug Houston. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
Mrs. Harrington is survived by a brother, William "Bill" Jones of Broadway; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

E.P. Bond Jr.
LUMBERTON - E.P. "Plug" Bond Jr., 88, of Lumberton, formerly of Rowland, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, in his home.
Mr. Bond was an Army veteran of World War II and worked at Scarborough Builder's Supply for 36 years, where he was a general manager before retiring. He was chairman of the North Carolina Licensing Board of General Contractors and was a former president of the Pinecrest Country Club. Mr. Bond received the Order of the Long Leaf Pine award in 1994. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where he was chairman of the board of deacons.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in First Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Samuel P. Warner. Arrangements are being handled by Biggs Funeral Home of Lumberton.
Mr. Bond is survived by his wife, Margaret K. Bond of the home; two daughters, Carolyn B. Morrison of Raleigh and Peggie B. Taylor of Wilmington; a grandson; and a great-grandson.

PINEHURST - Leroy Sloan, 62, of 300 Blake Blvd., died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, in Pinehurst Nursing Center.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Trinity AME Zion Church in Southern Pines by the Rev. Ricky Frazier. Burial will be in Matthews Memorial Garden in Wagram.
Mr. Sloan is survived by three sons, Gary Brown and Anthony Brown, both of Southern Pines, and Ronnie Leggett of Atlantic City, N.J.; four brothers, Neal A. Sloan, Robert L. Sloan, William Sloan and J.C. Sloan, all of Southern Pines; and three sisters, Louise Ingram, Alberta Berry and Beatrice Graham, all of Southern Pines.
A viewing will be held today from 2 to 8 p.m. at Purcell Funeral Home in Southern Pines.
The family will receive friends at the home of Louise Ingram, 130 N. Leak St., Southern Pines.

COFIELD - Miss Patricia Ann Bazemore, 55, of Bazemore Road, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002, in her home.
Miss Bazemore attended Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Allen C. "A.C." Hair, 67, of Fayetteville, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, in his home.
Mr. Hair was a Navy veteran and a spotlight technician for Cumberland County Coliseum. He retired from the civil service on Fort Bragg.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Lafayette Memorial Park West by the Rev. Ronald Loftis. 
Mr. Hair is survived by his wife, Erika Hair of the home.

LAURINBURG - Mrs. Lellon C. "Jane" Bounds, 98, of Laurinburg, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, in Edwin Morgan Center.
Mrs. Bounds was a sales clerk for Risk Clothing Store. She was a member of Sneads Grove United Methodist Church for 70 years, where she was a member of United Methodist Women.

Mrs. Bounds is survived by two sons, C.D. Bounds Jr. of Wagram and Charles Bounds of Laurinburg; two daughters, Gertrude Hearn and Grace Ivey, both of Laurinburg; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Cioban is survived by a son, James R. Cioban of New Milford, Conn.; two daughters, Joan Cioban of Linden, N.J., and Adele Szabo of Southern Pines; two sisters, Stella Sadowski of Neshanic Station, N.J., and Nellie Halleck of Manahawkin, N.J.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
