Mrs. Lambert is survived by her husband, John H. Lambert; two daughters, Hope M. Sawyer of Louisville, Ky., and Amy L. Lambert of Fayetteville; three brothers, Jimmy Senecal and David Senecal, both of Plattsburgh, N.Y., and John Senecal of Hope Mills; six sisters, Beverly Cook of Hope Mills and Diane Sotomayor, both of Hope Mills, Kathy Pierce of Burlington, Vt., Mary McKay of Maine and April Brown and Judy Provost, both of Plattsburgh; and six grandchildren.

LAUREL HILL -- Mrs. Sadie Lee Jordan O’Neal Clewis, 80, of Laurel Hill, died Tuesday in Sandhills Regional Medical Center in Hamlet.

Mrs. Clewis retired from Springs Mill and was a member of Laurel Hill Baptist Church.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Laurel Hill Baptist Church by the Rev. Don Malpass. Burial will be in Hillside Memorial Park in Laurinburg.

Mrs. Clewis is survived by her husband, Earnest Clewis of the home; three sons, Joel O’Neal of Jacksonville, Fla., and Tony Clewis and Jerry Clewis, both of Hamlet; a daughter, Dorothy Walser of Blacksburg, S.C.; her stepmother, Alice Jordan of Hartsville, S.C.; two brothers, Wayne Jordan and Donald Jordan, both of Hartsvillle; a sister, Louise Ward of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren.

CERRO GORDO -- Mrs. Emma Martin Blackwell, 94, of Cedar Grove Church Road, died Monday in Columbus County Hospital in Whiteville.

Mrs. Blackwell is survived by five daughters, Melba Turbeville of Thomasville, Betty Carter of Laurinburg, Virginia Cartrette of Clarendon, Alice Burns of Fayetteville and Bessie Smith of Charleston, S.C.; three sons, Aldred ’‘Bob’’ Blackwell and Grady Blackwell, both of Cerro Gordo, and George Blackwell of Vass; a brother, Paul Martin of Chadbourn; 42 grandchildren; 85 great-grandchildren; 38 great- great-grandchildren; and several great-great-great-grandchildren.

CLINTON -- Roy Jones Underwood, 68, of 2384 Laurel Lake Road, died Monday in Sampson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Underwood was a member of Salemburg Baptist Church and a retired painter. 

A graveside service will be conducted at noon today in Salemburg Cemetery by the Rev. Roger White. Arrangements are being handled by Royal-Hall Funeral Home of Clinton.

Mr. Underwood is survived by a sister, Henrietta Adams of Greensboro; and two brothers, Kenneth Underwood of Salemburg and Dannie Underwood of Greensboro.

GILBERT, Ariz. -- Retired Air Force Senior Master Sgt. John Wallace Sinodis, 66, of Gilbert, died Monday.

Mr. Moore was a veteran of World War II and a meat cutter for A&P Grocery Store before retiring. Mr. Moore was a member of First Baptist Church.
