Funeral services for Katie Brown will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday from Welch Funeral Home. Burial will be at Randolph Memorial Gardens in Pocahontas, Ark. The Rev. John T. Smithson will officiate.
Visitation is from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Brown died Monday, Oct. 11, 1999, at Scribner's Personal Care Home in Starkville. She was 88.
A St. Louis, Mo., native, she was a retired school teacher with the Pocahontas School System and a member of Starkville Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Baptist Joyful Noisemakers.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Larry Gene Brown of Starkville, and two grandchildren.
Make memorials to Starkville Church of Christ or Trinity Place in Columbus.

Lloyd David Carter Jr.
MABEN - Lloyd David Carter Jr. died Thursday, Sept. 30, 1999, at Webster Health Services in Eupora. He was 58.
A Pennsylvania native, he was a furniture salesperson.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Turman Carter of Maben; and sisters, Sheron Serafini of Portland, Ore., and Sandra Burress of Kansas City, Kan.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
Houston Funeral Home of Houston is in charge of arrangements.

Carlette Collier
Funeral services for Carlette Collier will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday from Second Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Oddfellows Cemetery. The Rev. Benjamin Carroll will officiate.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. today at West Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Collier died Friday, Oct. 8, 1999, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was 76.
An Oktibbeha County native, she was a domestic worker and a Baptist. She was a Starkville resident.
She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Lee and Lynette Johnson, both of Starkville; sisters, Mabertha Goodrum of Chicago, Ill., Marie West of New York, N.Y., Barbara Evans of Starkville, and Roy Jean Evans of Gary, Ind.; brother, Jimmie Edmonds of Starkville; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Russell Ellington
ACKERMAN - Funeral services for Russell Ellington will be conducted at 2 p.m. today from Wake Forest Baptist Church in Sturgis. Burial will follow at Wake Forest Cemetery in Sturgis. 
Visitation was from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday.
Mr. Ellington died Saturday, Oct. 9, 1999, at Aurora Nursing Home in Columbus. He was 78.
A Burk-Burnett, Texas, native, he was a machinist and a member of Wake Forest Baptist Church. He was a former Starkville resident.
He is survived by his wife, Earlene Ellington of Columbus; son, Charles Russell Ellington of Grape Vine, Texas; daughters, Linda Grauberger of Hugo, Colo., Barbara Lofton of Petal, Martha Ellington of Columbus and Becky Pickett of Wylie, Texas; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Ava Ray Gentry
COLUMBUS - Funeral services for Ava Ray Gentry will be conducted at 2 p.m. today from Bethesda Baptist Church in Crawford. Burial will follow at Bethesda Cemetery in Crawford. The Revs. James Hutcherson and Dockie Honeycutt will officiate.
Visitation was from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday.
Mrs. Gentry died Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999, at Cherub Loving Touch Personal Care Home in Steens. She was 83.
A Hattiesburg native, she was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church, where she played the piano for over 20 years. She was a graduate of Demonstration High School in Hattiesburg and attended Mississippi Women's College. She played in the band in high school and college and for President Franklin D. Roosevelt's inauguration in 1932.
She is survived by her husband, Merrill R. Gentry of Crawford; sons, Thomas R. Gentry of Hattiesburg, Robert W. Gentry of Calvert City, Ky., and Lawrence B. Gentry of Norfork, Ark.; daughters, Judith G. Turnage of Columbus, Ginny G. Bailey of Caledonia and Merilyn J. Gentry of Rockwood, Tenn.; sister, Mary Lois Burkett of Hattiesburg; and 15 grandchildren.

William M. McKinnon
ACKERMAN - Funeral services for William M. McKinnon will be conducted at 10 a.m. today from Sturgis Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Sturgis Cemetery. The Rev. Dale Walker will officiate.
Visitation was from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday.
Mr. McKinnon died Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999, at Oktibbeha County Hospital. He was 65.
A Sturgis native, he was the owner of McKinnon's Store in Sturgis and a Sturgis resident.
He is survived by his wife, Sue McKinnon of Sturgis; son, John William McKinnon of Madison; daughter, Mamie M. Douglas of Madison; and three grandchildren.

Wesley Wayne Harrell
MADISON - Funeral services for Wesley Wayne Harrell will be conducted at 11 a.m. today from First Baptist Church in Madison. Burial will follow at Natchez Trace Memorial Park. Dr. John Temple and the Rev. Mike Hart will officiate.
Visitation was from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Ridgeland and after 10 a.m. today at the church.
Mr. Harrell died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000. He was 20.
A Madison native, he was a sophomore at East Mississippi Community College and a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity at Mississippi State University. A 1998 graduate of Madison Central High School, he was a member of First Baptist Church in Madison and an employee of Mack & Vale Electrical Company in Starkville. He was a Starkville resident.
He is survived by his parents, Jackie W. and Gloria P. Harrell of Madison; brothers, Timothy Harrell of Jackson and Anthony Harrell of Byram; paternal grandparents, Lee W. and Beatrice Harrell of Ridgeland; and maternal grandparents, Walter and Mary Moulder of Forest and Robert Pleasant of Crystal Springs.

Robert C. (Bob) Jenkins
EUPORA - Funeral services for Robert C. (Bob) Jenkins will be conducted at 11 a.m. today from Oliver Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery in Choctaw County. The Revs. John Foles and John Lancaster will officiate.
Visitation was from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Jenkins died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000, at Webster Health Services in Eupora. He was 83.
A Choctaw County native, he was a retired from Futorian Manufacturing after 30 years of service. 
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Flemings Jenkins of Maben; daughters, Peggy Helms of Eupora, Marilyn Bell of Mathiston, and Betty Breazeale and Maxcine Turner, both of Maben; sons, Charles Jenkins of Stewart and Billy Jenkins of Lake; sisters, Virginia Varnes of Kilmichael and Kitty Ruth Bowens of Reform; brother, Earl Jenkins of Eupora; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

James R. McCluskey
Graveside services for James R. McCluskey will be held at 10 a.m. today from Adaton Baptist Church Cemetery. Mack Rutledge will officiate.
Mr. McCluskey died Friday, June 9, 2000 at his residence in Starkville. He was 71.
A Bellefontaine native, he was a retired research agronomist for the USDA and a deacon at First Baptist Church of Starkville. He was Past Master of Abert Lodge #89 and an honorary member of several area lodges. He was in the York Rite and was Grand Master of the First Veil & KYCH and 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason. He was also District Deputy Grand Lecturer, District #14 of the Grand Lodge of Mississippi since 1976.
Survivors include his daughters, Jimmie Chesnut and Patricia McCluskey, both of Starkville, and two granddaughters.
Make memorial donations to First Baptist Church of Starkville.

Ellen Hester McClain
Funeral services for Ellen Hester McClain will be held today at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Maben. Burial will be at Blythe Creek Cemetery. The Revs. Randle Poss and Andy Pittman will officiate.
Visitation will be today at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church until the service.
Mrs. McClain died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2000. She was 91.
She is survived by her sister, Edna Lee Hester Bowen of Parker, Col.; and her brothers, Joseph Eldon Hester and Randolph Franklin Hester of Maben and Leslie R. Hester of Starkville.
Memorials should be made to First Baptist Church in Maben.

Myrtle Vaughn
Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle Vaughn will be tomorrow at 11 a.m. at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Milligan Springs Cemetery. The Revs. Roger Mitchell and John White will officiate.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mrs. Vaughn died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2000. She was 86
She is survived by her daughters, Sara Yeatman and Frances Shults of Stewart; her son, Ottis Vaughn of Stewart; her sister, Lee Lois Johnson of Stewart; and her 16 grandchildren.

Prince Ella Joiner
Funeral services for Prince Ella Joiner will be held today at 1 p.m. at Grove Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be at Spring Valley Cemetery. 
She died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2000. She was 87.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Alice Hughes of Starkville, Ella Mae Edwards of Chicago, Ill., and Mattie Cummings of Maben.

John Paul Pritchett, Sr.
Funeral services for Mr. John Paul Pritchett, Sr. will be held today at 11 a.m. at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at White Hill Cemetery in Webster County. The Rev. Stanley Dorroh will officiate.
Visitation was from 5 to 9 last night and is also today from 8 a.m. until the time of services at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mr. Pritchett died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2000. He was 56.
Mr. Pritchett was a forestry crew chief for the Mississippi Forestry Commission. He was also a mason and a member of the Bellefontaine Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Kay Pepper Pritchett of Bellefontaine; his mother Barbara Nelms Pritchett of Bellefontaine; his daughters, Joce Pritchett of Atlanta, Ga. and Jean-Anne Pritchett of Bellefontaine; his son, John Paul Pritchett, Jr., of Bellefontaine; his sister, Faye Perkins of Slate Springs, and his granddaughter.

Lucille L. Johnston

Mrs. Johnston died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2000. She was 81.
She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Clay of Chillicothe, Tx. and Marsha Regina of Pensacola, Fl.; her son, Charlie Johnston of Starkville; her sisters, Margaret Wade and Nancy Bell of Starkville and Jean Hall of Jackson; her brother, Charlie Thrasher of Bradley; and her seven grandchildren.

Eather M. Rodgers
Funeral services for Eather M. Rodgers will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be Hebron Cemetery. The Revs. Carl Nickels and Bubba Burton will officiate.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight at the Oliver Funeral Home.
Miss Rodgers died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000. She was 79.
She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Carolyn Blake Miller
Funeral services for Carolyn Blake Miller will be held at 2 p.m. in Ackerman at Nowell Funeral Services Chapel today. Burial will be at Double Springs Cemetery. The Rev. Tim Long will officiate.
Visitation was last night from 6 to 8 p.m.
Mrs. Miller died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000. She was 28.
She was a member of Starkville Church of Christ.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband, Bruce Miller of Ackerman; her son Ben Miller of Ackerman; and her sisters, Martha Dendy of Houston, Tammy Mann of Mantee, Mary Kennedy of Greenwood, and Rena Holland of Maben.

Charlotte Regar Kleban
Funeral services will be held for Charlotte Regar Kleban today at 2 p.m. grave side at Oktibbeha Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Rabbi Michael Birnholz will officiate.
Mrs. Kleban was a member of Temple B'Nai Israel in Columbus.
She is survived by her sons, Michael A. Kleban and David S. Kleban of Starkville.
