Age 67 of Annandale, died Tuesday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 4-8 PM with a prayer service at 6 PM. Further visitation will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 AM Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale. Mass of Christian Burial for Charles P. Harold H. Blumke
Mr. Harold H. Blumke, 75, of South Haven died Friday, October 15, 1999 at his 
residence.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 19 at Concordia Lutheran 
Church, Fair Haven with Pastor Norman Hanan officiating. Burial followed at the 
church cemetery with full military honors provided by VFW Post #428. 
He is survived by his wife, Lillie of South Haven, five children and their 
spouses, Dennis and Sharon of Spicer, David and Mary of St. Cloud, Susan and 
Mike Michalski of Clearwater, Robert and Paula of St. Cloud, Kris and Dan 
Moeller of Clearwater, two brothers and their wives, Lenhard and LaVerne of 
Mesa, Ariz., Elvin and Bonnie of South Haven, four sisters, Eleanor Kriedeman of 
South Haven, Gertrude Stueve of Kimball, Mabel Kennedy of Fair Haven, Loretta 
Hokkala of Kingston, and 15 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
Harold H. Blumke was born May 10, 1924 in Fair Haven Township, Stearns County to 
Carl and Annie (Renken) Blumke. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II and 
married Lillie Lueders May 8, 1949 in Fair Haven. He lived in St. Cloud from 
1956 until 1985, when he moved to Clearwater Lake. He was a heavy equipment 
operator and mechanic, working for various construction contractors for 38 
years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, St. Cloud 
VFW Post #428, and Union Local #49 of Minneapolis.
Pallbearers: grandchildren, Eric, Aaron, Malia, Darrin, Sondra, Tara, Nancy, 
Laurie, and Darcy Blumke, Jeff, Paul, and Adam Michalski, Mandy, Cole and Levi 
Moeller. 

Earle D. Shenton
Earle D. Shenton, 88, of rural Maple Lake, died at Park View Care Center in 
Buffalo on Monday, October 11, 1999.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, October 17 at the Silver Creek Reformed 
Church of Silver Creek. Rev. Bob Vandevord and Rev. Bob Rusert officiated. 
Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery in Monticello.
He is survived by his son, Alfred, of rural Maple Lake; and sister Dorothy 
Reiderer of Beach, N.D. 
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Hazel in 1990; two sisters 
Gertrude Cain and Elizabeth McGowan; and two brothers, Hubert Shenton and Stacey 
Shenton.
Earle was born on June 11, 1911 in Monticello Township to Alfred L. and Nora B. 
(Clepper) Shenton. He grew up in the Hasty area where he attended Carter School. 
He then farmed with his father near Buffalo, before purchasing his own farm in 
Silver Creek Township in October of 1945. On October 20, 1945, he was united in 
marriage to Hazel Jensen in St. Cloud. Earle farmed his entire life, until 
retiring in 1973. He then worked for Greenview as a rest area attendant at the 
Weaver Lake (Maple Grove), Enfield, and Fuller Lake (Clearwater) rest areas. He 
was a former member of the Hasty/Silver Creek Sportsmen's Club.
Casket bearers: Tom McGowan, Scott McGowan, Lowell Jensen, Jeremy Jensen, Chris 
Jensen, Tim Jensen, Joel Carlson and Dave Collins. Honorary casket bearers: 
Elvin Fieldseth, Marjorie LaCasse, Bart LaCasse, Dean and Bonnie Hoglund, Gary 
and Janet Spence, and Jim and Lorraine Forar.

Leona A. Streu
Mrs. Leona Anna Augusta (Klitzke) Streu, 93, of Annandale died Saturday, October 
16, 1999.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 19 at Zion Lutheran Church, 
Annandale with Rev. Thomas Queck officiating. Burial followed at Woodlawn 
Cemetery, Annandale. 
She is survived by son, Richard Streu of Minneapolis, daughters-in-law, 
Jacqueline Streu of New Mexico, Helen Streu of Alaska, four grandchildren, 
Gretchen of Zimmerman, Douglas and James of Annandale, Lisa Flory and her 
husband, Craig of Alaska, two great-grandchildren, Jack Flory of Alaska, and 
Daniel Spaulding II of Zimmerman. 
She was preceded in death by her husband and son, John.
Leona A. Streu was born June 13, 1906 in Buffalo Lake to August and Bianca 
(Keicker) Klitzke. She was raised in the Buffalo Lake and Glencoe areas. As a 
teen, she worked as a nanny for a pair of twins and later as a waitress. She 
married Erwin J. Streu June 12, 1927 in Central Lutheran Church, Minneapolis and 
he preceded her in death on July 19, 1990. She raised her two sons in north 
Minneapolis, moving in 1949 to a farm in French Lake Township, Wright County 
where she and her husband farmed until 1969. She had the misfortune of a 
cerebral hemorrhage in 1966 and was unable to speak since then. She, however, 
never lost her happy, pleasant, positive, loving personality and attitude. After 
her husband died, she lived independently for eight years at Centennial Villa 
Apartments in Annandale. After a hip fracture, she became wheelchair bound and 
moved back to the farm where her grandson, Doug and she lived together until she 
became too much care for one person. She also attended the Buffalo Adult Day 
Care Center on weekdays, which she enjoyed immensely. Special thanks to all 
those in Wright County who saw that she was so well cared for in her last years, 
including her grandson, Doug, the Buffalo Adult Day Care Center, Jackie and Al 
Streitz, and Archie and Sue Archuleta.
Pallbearers: Leonard & Randy Lindberg, David Lorenz, Merlin Schwecke, Michael 
Gudmunson, and Douglas Swanson.
