Funeral services for Josef Adamczyk, 95, Anoka, took place Nov. 24 at 
Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. Marian Szajner officiated.
Adamczyk died Nov. 19 at Mercy Hospital. He was born April 23, 1905 in 
Krakow, Poland. He was a retired assembly worker.
He is survived by his sons, Wojciech, John and Stanley Adamczyk; 
daughters, Rose Koba, Mary Zaremba, and Helen Szubert; and many 
grandchildren and great--grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ewa.
Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by 
Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.
Timothy J. Buckley
Funeral services for Timothy J. Buckley, 56, Anoka, took place Nov. 24 at 
Anoka Wesleyan Church, Anoka. Rev. Doug Swarthout officiated. 
Buckley died Nov. 19 at Camilia Rose Convalescent Home in Coon Rapids. He 
was born May 12, 1944, to Joseph P. and Mary J. Buckley. He worked 21 
years at Control Data and 15 years at Unisys.
He is survived by his mother, Mary of Ramsey; brother, Patrick of Blaine; 
sister, Kathy (Bill) Wallace; and niece, April Wallace, all of Ramsey.
Pallbearers were Pat Buckley, Bill Wallace, Eddie Paris, Rick Sherrett, 
Rick Sandstrom, Ken Stamness, and Lori Gangl.
Interment was at St. Fridolin’s Cemetery, Champlin. Arrangements were by

Idelle C. Carlson
Funeral services for Idelle C. Carlson, 67, Spring Lake Park, took place 
Nov. 22 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. Bill Steinke 
officiated. 
Carlson died Nov. 18 in Spring Lake Park. She was born March 3, 1933, in 
Ray. She worked in production control/manufacturing.
She is survived by husband, Robert; children, Timothy (Nancy), Susan 
(Bobby) Seaney, Robert II (Pam), and Clay (Jill); 12 grandchildren; five 
great-grandchildren; sisters, Wilma Fountain (Douglas), Cheri Appel 
(Mike); and nieces and nephews.
Interment was private at Lord of Life Lutheran Church Columbarium, Ramsey. 
Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.
Harold Danielson
Funeral services for Harold Vern Danielson, 74, Coon Rapids, took place 
Nov. 22 at Good Shepherd Evangelical Covenant Church. Rev. Michael Hayes 
officiated.
Danielson died Nov. 17 in Fridley. He was born May 10, 1926 to Martinus 
and Irene Danielson. He was a central office technician.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; children, Janice (Gary) Zenzen, Judy 
Kruse, Debbie Vinje, Dennis (Jane), and Tim (Alison); 13 grandchildren; 
one great-grandchild; brothers, Robert and Doug; and numerous nieces, 
nephews and friends.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements 
were by Gearhart Coon Rapids Chapel.
Marjorie Ann Dirks
Funeral services for Marjorie Ann Dirks, 56, Anoka, took place Nov. 25 at 
Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka. Rev. Timothy Johnson officiated.
Dirks died Nov. 20 at her home. She was born Feb. 7, 1944 in Oak Park, 
Ill., to Karl W. Jensen and Rosalie M. Remund. She was employed by 
Anoka-Hennepin School District 11.
She is survived by her husband, Arnold; daughter, Jennifer; parents, Karl 
and Rosalie Jensen; brother, Joel Jensen of Arizona; sister, Nancy Flock 
of Colorado; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Dean Oslund, Gary Dirks, Lanny Rost, Verlyn Wenndt, and 
DuWaine Bristin.

William Frybarger
Funeral services for William K. Frybarger, 62, Anoka, took place Nov. 28 
at Peace Lutheran Church, Robbinsdale. Rev. Carleton E. Zahn officiated.
Frybarger died Nov. 21 at his home. He was born Aug. 16, 1938 in Bradley, 
S.D., to William E. and Ina E. (Stevens) Frybarger. He worked for Graco, 
Inc.
He is survived by his children, Tony and wife Adriene of San Diego, 
Calif., Lois Frybarger of Minneapolis; brothers, Jimmie and wife Arlys of 
Los Alamos, N.M., Richard and wife Charlene of Lead, S.D.; sisters, Beth 
Wegehaupt and husband Fred of Sioux Falls, S.D., JoAnn Collins and husband 
Dawn of Magnolia Springs, Ala.; and other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ina.
Pallbearers were Dwayne Prokosch, Dwayne Houk, Darrell Proethel, Jim Holm, 
Keith Erieau and Adrienne Frybarger.

Gordon Gargano
Funeral services for Gordon “Jim” Gargano, 57, Anoka, took place Nov. 20 
at the Immaculate Conception Church, Hibbing. Rev. Clem Gustin officiated. 
Gargano died Nov. 16 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital. He was born Oct. 13, 
1943 in Hibbing, to Gordon and Ann Gargano. He was employed for 33 years 
as an information systems manager at Gresen Hydraulics Company.
He is survived by his wife, Frances, of Anoka; daughter, Cheryl, of 
Shakopee; son, Anthony (Trisha), of Savage; mother, Ann (Gordon) Gargano; 
sister, Gloria (John) Sporer, of Hibbing; grandson, Christopher Gargano of 
Hibbing; and nieces and nephews.
Interment was at Maple Hill Cemetery. Arrangements were by Dougherty 
Funeral Home, Hibbing.
Lola M. Herrboldt
Funeral services for Lola M. Herrboldt, 77, Anoka, took place Nov. 28 at 
Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka. Rev. Liane Rock officiated.
Herrboldt died Nov. 24 at Twin Rivers Care Center, Anoka. She was born 
Oct. 3, 1923 in Minneapolis to Joseph C. and Eva (Dahm) Marsolais. She was 
a retired school cook and a 1941 graduate of Anoka High School.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond; sons, Larry (Rita Whelan) 
Herrboldt of Delano, Chet (Karen) Herrboldt of Coon Rapids, Leroy (Lori) 
Herrboldt of Elk River; daughters, Judy (Corwin) Kronenberg of 
Bloomington, Donna (David) Augustson of Eagan, Dolores (Bill) Ruckel of 
Andover; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and 
cousins; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Eva Marsolais; son, 
Raymond, Jr.; and sister, Joanne.
Pallbearers were Matthew, and Jerrod Augustson, Michael, Mark and Leah 
Herrboldt, and Becky and Willie Ruckel.

Willard B. Maki
Funeral services for Willard B. Maki, 65, Andover, took place Nov. 27 at 
St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. Bill Deziel officiated.
Maki died Nov. 23 at his home. He was born Oct. 30, 1935 in Hibbing to 
Arvo O. Maki and Bertha A. Kaminen. He was an industrial arts teacher at 
Spring Lake Park schools for 32 years.
He is survived by his wife, Doreen; children, Bryan (James), Bradley 
(Donna), Shawn (Jennifer), Rodney and Karen Maki; eight grandchildren; and 
many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and infant daughter, Michelle.
Pallbearers were Bryan, Bradley, Shawn, Rodney and Karen Maki.
Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by

Myrtle Arlene Palm
Funeral services for Myrtle Arlene Palm, 74, Anoka, took place Nov. 25 at

Palm died Nov. 20 in Anoka. She was born Sept. 12, 1926 to Albert and 
Selma Brekke. She was a clerical supervisor.
She is survived by her husband, Calvin; sons, Stephen and Richard 
(Rochelle); daughter, Debra (Alan) Gustafson; grandchildren, Lynette, 
Jeffrey, Andrew, Hannah and Lydia; brother, Stanley; sisters, Bernice and 
Eleanor; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Selma Brekke; 
brother, Lester; and sister, Ione.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements 
were by Gearhart Anoka Funeral Chapel.
Harold O. Peterson
Funeral services for Harold O. Peterson, 72, Ham Lake, took place Nov. 28 
at Glen Cary Lutheran Church, Ham Lake. Rev. Jeff Jacobus officiated.
Peterson died Nov. 22 at his home. He was born April 25, 1928 in Anoka to 
Carl Peterson and Esther Pedersen. He was a foundry worker.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; children, Alan and wife Janice, 
Bonnie Simco and husband John, Beverly Peterson; five grandchildren; six 
great-grandchildren; brothers, Arnie, Roy and Norman; sisters, Millie 
Rand, Adeline Hamm and Lori Phillips; and many other relatives and 
friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Alvin; and grandson, Michael.

Leora M. Pilkington
Funeral services for Leora M. Pilkington (aunt Margie), 86, Anoka, took 
place Nov. 24 at Trinity Episcopal Church, Anoka. Rev. Edward L. Barnett 
officiated.
Pilkington died Nov. 20 at Mercy Hospital. She was born on April 18, 1914, 
in Wadena to Jasper C. and Leora M. (Young) Wells. She worked as a phone 
operator at Federal Cartridge.
She is survived as an aunt, great-aunt, and a great-great-aunt.
Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by 
Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Catherine D. Pool
Funeral services for Catherine D. Pool, 43, Coon Rapids, took place Nov. 
21 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. Thomas W. Wilson 
officiated.
Pool died Nov. 18 in Minneapolis. She was born Jan. 22, 1957 in 
Minneapolis.
She is survived by her husband, Brian; children, Elyse (Mike), Anthony, 
Ashley, Fallon, Paige; grandson, Tyler; father, John Buckley; sister, 
Terri (Craig); brothers, Rick (Patty) and Tom (Janet); other nieces, 
nephews, and relatives; and friends.

Lester B. Russell
Funeral services for Lester B. Russell, 80, Ramsey, took place Nov. 27 at 
Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. Jerry Smith officiated.
Russell died Nov. 21 at Vencor Hospital, Golden Valley. He was born on 
March 13, 1920 in Newport, R.I., to Edgar and Irma (Sargent) Russell. He 
was retired form the U.S. Navy after 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, Carole; sons, Peter (Bev) Russell of Plymouth, 
David Russell of Ogilvie; daughter, Susan (Bill) Stevenson of Ramsey; six 
grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; niece, Ann Silveira of North 
Carolina; nephew, Mike Russell of Ohio; other nieces and nephews; and 
friends, Ron and Karen Ross of Ramsey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Irma Russell; and 
brother, Edgar Russell, Jr.
Pallbearers were Bill and Jeff Stevenson, Mike, Shannon and Chad Russell, 
and Ron Ross.

Hugh Schoephoerster
Private services for Hugh D. Schoephoerster, 67, Andover, are pending.
Schoephoerster died Nov. 17. He was a curriculum developer in 
Anoka-Hennepin School District 11, children’s textbook author and art 
collector.
He is survived by his sister, Janice Rognlie, of Rapid City, S.D.; son, 
Paul (Lisa), of Fayette, Mo., Ned (Sally) of Circle Pines; daughter, 
Kristin Schoephoerster and husband David West; and grandchildren, Kirby, 
Jack, Samuel, Carl, Oliver and Margaret.
Arrangements are by the Cremation Society of Minnesota.
James S. Fransen
Funeral services for James Steven Fransen, 55, Coon Rapids, took place 
Oct. 30 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Bernard Reiser 
officiated.
Fransen died Oct. 27 in Minneapolis. He was born Dec. 31, 1944 in 
Montevideo to William and Arlene Fransen. He was self-employed.
He is survived by his daughter, Megan and husband Eric Becker; son, Andrew 
and fiancee Kathy Lester; granddaughters, Kristi, Ashley and Kaylee; 
sisters, Marilyn, Linda and Connie; and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille.
Pallbearers were Scott Peterson, John and Curly Dammermann, Doug Holcombe, 
Ernie Pittel and Neil Astby.
Interment was at Epiphany Catholic Cemetery, Coon Rapids. Arrangements

James Alan Kane
Funeral services for James Alan Kane, 70, Osseo, took place Nov. 1 at Fort 
Snelling National Cemetery.
Kane died Oct. 27 at Bethesda Lutheran Hospital. He was born Feb. 8, 1930 
in Minneapolis to Miles L. Kane and Lillian Jean Smith. He was a regional 
sales manager for Eaton Corp. and served in the U.S. Air Force from 
1951-55.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; son, Mickey (Karen); daughters, Kim 
Spence and Kelly Lysne (Jeff); former daughters-in-law, Deb and Connie 
Kane; former son-in-law, Mike Spence; grandchildren, Carrie, Bradley, 
Christopher, Jonathon and Jack Kane, Tyler and Jenna Lysne; step-grandson, 
Mike; great-grandson, Devon Kane; sister, Gael Ross (Vernon); aunt, 
Lucille Kane; and niece, Terri Lu Kane.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Patrick Kane.

Hatten.

Mary Ann Paquette
Funeral services for Mary Ann Paquette, 73, Coon Rapids, took place Oct. 
30 at Church of the Epiphany, Coon Rapids. Rev. Bernard A. Reiser

Paquette died Oct. 26 in New Brighton. She was born Oct. 4, 1927 in Cedar 
Lake Township. She was a bookkeeper.
She is survived by her children, Joe (Sue) and Mary K. Wechter (Jeff); 
grandchildren, Rachel and James Paquette, Neil Javener and Jennifer 
Wechter; two sisters; five brothers; and many nieces, nephews, relatives 
and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Romeo.
Interment was at St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery, Faribault. Arrangements 
were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Dale V. Scott
Funeral services for Dale V. “Scotty” Scott, 75, Andover, took place Oct.

Scott died Oct. 28 at Mercy Hospital. He was born Dec. 10, 1924 in Anoka 
to Edwin T. and Myrtle M. (Baker) Scott. He was a retired salesman for 
Main Motors of Anoka.
He is survived by his wife, Alva; sons, Bruce (Susan) Scott of Golden 
Valley, Barry (Vickie) Scott of Omro, Wis.; four grandchildren; two 
great-grandchildren; brothers, Allan (Eileen) Scott of Sargeant; sister, 
Donna Irwin of Anoka; and nieces and nephews.

Doris Taylor
Funeral services for Doris Taylor, 76, Mounds View, took place Oct. 31 at 
New Brighton United Church of Christ. Rev. John Buttrey officiated.,
Taylor died Oct. 27 in Coon Rapids. She was born Dec. 11, 1923 in Fort 
Dodge, Iowa. She was a secretary/bookkeeper.
She is survived by her children, Cathy (Gary) McCready, Thomas Taylor, 
Terri Taylor; grandchildren, Patrick (Diana) McCready, Dr. Kay McCready, 
Robert (Katy) McCready, Tamara (Jeff) Sell, Loveal Sillers, Jr.; 
great-grandchildren, Alannah, Ryan, Owen McCready, and Tyler Sell; 
brothers and sisters, Thad (Joanne) Walters, Mary Englund (Dick Gripp), 
Nathan Walters (Carol), Steven Walters (Carol); and sister-in-law, Helen 
Walters.
She was preceded in death by Patrick Taylor; and brother, Guy Walters.

Mark L. Woytasek
Funeral services for Mark L. Woytasek, 27, Blaine, took place Oct. 28 at 
Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. Don Gullickson 
officiated.
Woytasek died Oct. 24 in Blaine. He was born July 31, 1971 in Minneapolis 
and was in roofing construction.
He is survived by his special friend, Alicia Weeden; parents, Fred and 
Sandy; sister, Christy (Joe Sheridan); brother, Michael; grandparents, 
Walter and Katherine Woytasek, Delores Barchinski; and many aunts, uncles, 
cousins and friends.
Pallbearers were Chris and Ryan Arneson, Joe Sheridan, Drew Gutz, Nik 
Hildreth and J.R. Ward.

Fern Cabral
Funeral services for Fern Bagne Cabral, 83, St. Francis, took place Nov. 
17 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Princeton. Bishop Paul 
Tross officiated.
Cabral died Nov. 14 at Cambridge Medical Center. She was born Aug. 8, 1917 
in Kaysville, Utah, to Franklin and Clara Colemere.
She is survived by her daughter, Yvonne and husband James McCabe of St. 
Francis; grandchildren, Kathryn and husband Douglas Schuldt of Cambridge, 
James T. and wife Nancy McCabe of Oak Grove, Deborah and husband Randy 
Heath, of Syracuse, Utah; 10 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives 
and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Donald Flint, Jerome 
Bagne and Henry Cabral; and brothers, Sheldon and Ferren.

and Elijah Schuldt, and Denny VanCampen. Honorary pallbearers were Austin,

Franklin D. Douglas
Funeral services for Franklin D. Douglas, 66, Circle Pines, took place

Franklin died Oct. 31 at Unity Hospital. He was born Sept. 3, 1934 to John 
and Bernice Douglas. He was a carpenter.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Joe Hill, Rose 
and Bruce Christensen, Roxanne and Dave Tueffel, Cheryl and Ty Koty, Sally 
and Dave Rowe, Lisa and Don Tetens, and Kim Douglas; and sons and 
daughters-in-law, James and Tracy Douglas and Tim and Cindy Douglas.
He was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Dana Jo Hill and William 
Jesse Teuffel.

Beverly G. Eden
Funeral services for Beverly G. Eden, 68, Coon Rapids, took place Nov. 17

Eden died Nov. 14 at her home. She was born Nov. 23, 1931 in Minneapolis 
to Hjalmer Burgquist and Geneva M. Beckman. She was a secretary in 
Anoka-Hennepin School District 11.
She is survived by her husband, Frank; children, Brian and wife Delrae, 
Pam Bahr and husband Ron; grandchildren, Marissa and Connor Eden, Robert 
Brandanger; great-grandson, Austin Brandanger; sisters, Sandra Wirz and 
Marilyn Vierzba; nieces and nephews, Chris Wirz, Lisa Boje, Ryan and Broc

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Scott.

Feyo died Nov. 16 in Anoka. She was born Dec. 9, 1919 in Minneapolis and 
was a retired assembler at Honeywell.
She is survived by her husband, John; son, Jack Feyo (Jan); grandchildren, 
John E. (Colleen), Connie A. Bergerson (Brad), Kenneth T.; 
great-grandchildren, Andrew J. Feyo and Olivia A. Bergerson; and nieces 
and nephew, Kathleen, Mary and Danny Dudon.

Margaret L. Fremont
Funeral services for Margaret L. “Peg” Fremont, 88, Coon Rapids, took 
place Nov. 14 at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, Coleraine.
Fremont died Nov. 9 at Camilia Rose Convalescent Center, Coon Rapids. She 
was born May 13, 1912 in Coleraine to Samuel and Anna (Endress) Adrian. 
She was active in the Coon Rapids Super Seniors Club.
She is survived by her son, Patrick “Pat” (Heather) Fremont of Coon 
Rapids; daughter, Margaret “Peggy” (Dennis) James of Hibbing; five 
grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, John Warner of 
Grand Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Anna Adrian; husband, 
Stan; and sisters, Marie Adrian, Carol Warner, Loretta Scipioni, and Agres 
Casio.
Interment was at Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine. Arrangements were by

Fern Hemgren
Funeral services for Fern Elizabeth Hemgren, 83, Elk River, formerly of 
Anoka, took place Nov. 17 at Dare’s Funeral Home, Elk River.
Hemgren died Nov. 15 at Guardian Angels Nursing Home, Elk River. She was 
born Aug. 3, 1917 in Staples to Charles Trieweiler and Lydia Shannon. She 
was a retired nurse’s aid and foster mother for children with 
disabilities.
She is survived by her husband, Herman, of Elk River; sons, Charles (Jane 
Ann) of Zimmerman, Walter (Dee), of Cambridge; daughter, Joyce (Virgil) 
Van Camp of Austin; foster sons, George Cornwell of Elk River, and Chuck 
(Helen) Shilleto; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and 
sisters, Minnie Olson of Kentucky and Evelyn Olson of North Carolina.

Funeral services for Steven R. Hoggatt, 52, Fridley, took place Nov. 17 at

Hoggatt died Nov. 15 at North Memorial Medical Center. He was born March 
15, 1948 in Minneapolis to Lee and Leona M. Renslow Hoggatt. He was a 
metal pourer/molder in a foundry.
He is survived by his father, Lee Hoggatt of Wisconsin; sisters, Carol 
Westphal and husband John of Coon Rapids, Delores Mahn and husband Louis 
of Oregon, Kathleen Zimhoff and husband Vince of Wisconsin; brothers, Lee 
“Sonny” Hoggatt and Frank Hoggatt; cousins, Janice Nelson and husband 
David; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Leona Hoggatt.

Lanerd died Nov. 14 in Coon Rapids. She was born July 8, 1941 in 
Minneapolis.
She is survived by her husband, Jim; daughter, Tammy and fiance Marty; 
sons, Joe, Jim and wife Teri; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; 
sisters, Joyce Helton, Bev Brown, Barb Gilderhus; and many other relatives 
and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nick and Florence Peltier; and

Martig died Nov. 10 in Anoka. She was born May 11, 1925 in Slayton. She 
was an Amway distributor.

Laura, Myrlene, Marion Ann; numerous nieces and nephews; and other

Michael McCoy
Funeral services for Michael McCoy, 73, East Bethel, took place Nov. 17 at

McCoy died Nov. 13 in Coon Rapids. He was born March 1, 1927 in Winnipeg, 
Manitoba, Canada, and was retired from 3M as an engineer after 28 years.
He is survived by his wife, Shirlee; daughters, Julie Fitzgerald (John), 
Kelly Berg (Loren); grandchildren, Kacie and Cameron Berg, and Erin Nicole 
Fitzgerald; and four brothers.

Tarryn McGhee

Palmer died Nov. 12 in Roseville. She was born Feb. 15, 1920 in St. Paul.
She is survived by her husband, Bob; children, Robert Jr., Mark (Kaia), 
Janet Kinney (Jim), Richard (Cindy); four grandchildren; and two 
great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary.

Stella Skinnemoen
Memorial services for Stella E. Skinnemoen (Cariveau), 85, Blaine, took

Skinnemoen died Nov. 11 in Coon Rapids. She was born July 8, 1915 in St. 
Hilaire and was retired from beauty supply retail sales.

Don Cariveau, Diane and Arthur Matuska; six grandchildren; seven 
great-grandchildren; sister, Irene Ness; and nephew, Gary (Glennis) 
Hofstad.

Diane M. Williamson
Funeral services for Diane M. Williamson, 61, Anoka, will take place 
tomorrow (Saturday, Nov. 25), 11 a.m, at the Church of Jesus Christ of 
Latter Day Saints, Anoka.
Williamson died at Mercy Hospital Nov. 19. She was born in Anoka on Oct. 
12, 1939 to Floyd A. and Virginia Moore Bellows.

Steven (Barb) Ashley, Kim (Dave) Hildebrandt, all of Florida, Cinde (Tony

Grefe died in Anoka. She was born Feb. 23, 1903 to Harvey and Louise 
Snell. She was a retired teacher.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Sutterer; son, Richard Grefer; 
grandchildren, Cynthia Cassady, Debra Soden, Robert and Kevin Sutterer, 
James Grefe and Katie Pendergast; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William.

Robert Lommen
Funeral services for Robert Lommen, 90, Coon Rapids, took place Nov. 6 at 
Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka. Rev. Norman Berg officiated.
Lommen died Nov. 4 in Anoka. He was born Aug. 27, 1910 in Lanesboro and 
was a retired electrical engineer with Honeywell. He also served for many 
years on the Coon Rapids Planning Commission and then the Coon Rapids 
Zoning Board of Adjustment.
He is survived by his wife, Norma; children, Paul Lommen and wife 
Christine Emanuel, June VanDusen and husband Granville, and Sandra Lommen 
and husband Leo Smith; six grandchildren; brother, Judge Paul A. Lommen 
and wife Marguerite; sister, Helen Lommen; nieces, Margaret Lommen and 
Kathryn Johnson; and friends.

Howard A. Schreifels
Funeral services for Howard A. “Howie” Schreifels, 63, Coon Rapids, took

Schreifels died Nov. 3 in Coon Rapids. He was born June 27, 1937 in 
Richmond, and was in the furniture repair business.

sisters, Celesta Denne, Cyril Schreifels and wife Valeria, Ellen Primus, 
Esther Steinemann and husband Henry, Delphine Gieske and husband Robert,

Whitlow died Nov. 2 in New Brighton. He was born July 24, 1910 in Indiola, 
Iowa, and was farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; children, Steve (Becky). Mark 
(Debbie), Paul, Brenda McDonald (Terry); grandchildren, Jennifer, Crystal, 
September, Katrina, Anthony and Jon; brothers, Raymond and Frank; and 
sisters, Marguarete, Marjorie and Maxine.
