Funeral services for Dora Anthony, 97, Cambridge, formerly of Coon Rapids, 
took place Oct. 14 at Sunset Funeral Chapel, St. Anthony. Rev. Paul 
Reynolds officiated.
Anthony died Oct. 9 at Grandview Nursing Home, Cambridge. She was born 
April 17, 1903 in Goodrich, N.D., to Gottlieb Hertz and Carolyn Beierly.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Lyle Halland 
of Brook Park, Betty and Arthur Monson of Coon Rapids, Dorothy Moore of 
Statesboro, Ga.; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 15 
great-grandchildren; seven step great-grandchildren; six great 
great-grandchildren; and one great great great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; and three sisters.
Pallbearers were Gordon Gullixson, Kent and Bradley Halland and Ryan 
Kuhlmann.
Interment was at Sunset Memorial Park, St. Anthony. Arrangements were by 
Sunset Funeral Chapel.

Frances Cochran
Memorial services for Frances Armstrong Cochran, 92, Anoka, will take 
place tomorrow Saturday, Oct. 21, 2 p.m., at Trinity Episcopal Church, 
Anoka.
Cochran died Oct. 14 at Trevilla Nursing Rehab Center, New Brighton. She 
was born July 16, 1908 in St. Paul. She was a retired Anoka High School 
teacher, and a member of the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary and the Anoka 
Philolectian Club, and a life member of Phi Mu Fraternity.
She is survived by her caregivers, Cheryl Ekblad and James Wennerlund.
Interment will be private. Arrangements are by the Cremation Society of 
Minnesota.

Thomas J. Elliott
Memorial services for Thomas J. Elliott, 65, St. Paul, will take place 
tomorrow (Saturday, Oct. 21) at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 
Minneapolis. Rev. Tom Margevicius will officiate.
Elliott died Oct. 16 in St. Paul. He was born May 17, 1935 in St. Paul. He 
was a cabinet maker.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; daughters, Nona (Andrew) Rogers, Anna 
(Jeff) Elliott; grandchildren, Cody, Sami, Ehrin and Alli; brother, Jack 
(Sandy) Elliott; sister, Anita (Roland) Brown; nieces and nephews; and

He was preceded in death by his mother, Elsie Elliott.

Charles T. Elmer
Funeral services for Charles T. Elmer, 70, Coon Rapids, took place Oct. 13

Elmer died Oct. 10 in Robbinsdale. He was born April 10, 1930 in 
Robbinsdale and was a service station employee.
He is survived by his children, Jody (Douglas) O’Dell; Jackie (Gary) 
Follmer, Leslie (Larry) Milander; grandchildren, Michael (Jamie) Hess, 
Justin Hess, Nicole and Charlie Follmer; great-grandchild, Ashley Hess;

Barbara J. Gross
Funeral services for Barbara J. “Budan” Gross, 44, Ham Lake, took place

Gross died Oct. 13 at Mercy Medical Center, Dyersville, Iowa. She was born 
Jan. 25, 1956 in Dyersville, Iowa, to Victor and Mary Jo (Tauke) Budan. 
She was an administrative assistant with Duke Financial and a member of 
the Sweet Adelines Twin Cities Chorus.

Anderson died Oct. 3 in Anoka. He was born Sept. 2, 1928 in St. Francis, 
and was employed in the trucking industry for 48 years as a driver and 
dispatcher.

Christopher and Melissa; and sister, Beverly Budnick.

Kenneth J. Graber
Funeral services for Kenneth Julius Graber, 77, Coon Rapids, took place

Graber died Oct. 6. He was born on July 24, 1923 in Minneapolis to Edward 
Richard Max Graber and Dorothy Bernice Hall. He was a mechanical 
technician. He served in the 112th Cavalry in World War II and received 
the Purple Heart. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, 
Anoka American Legion and Anoka Jaycees, and was active in Boy Scouts for 
over 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Katheryn; children, Kenneth E. (Maureen) 
Graber, Philip S. (Gayle) Graber, Kathryn L. (Joel) Graeter, Thomas M. 
(Marianne) Graber, Susan A. (Mark) Hettwer; grandchildren, Timothy,

Michael Sullivan

Wachtler died Sept. 29 at his home. He was born Sept. 13, 1949 in Oakland, 
Calif., to Richard E. Wachtler and Evan Marin. He was a sports official 
for fast pitch softball, volleyball and basketball.
He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Rourke of California, Anna, Naomi, 
and Rachel Wachtler, of Anoka; granddaughter, Jessica Rourke; parents, 
Richard and Joan Wachtler of Nevada; brothers, Larry and Greg Wachtler; 
and former wife and friend, Sherry Wachtler.

Wilson died Sept. 27 in Brooklyn Park. He was born Feb. 1, 1971 in St. 
Paul to Andrew K. and Shirley A (Gleb) Wilson.

Craft died Oct. 19 at his home. He was born Jan. 5, 1955 in Minneapolis to 
Arnold Craft and Marjorie Senenfelder. He was an assembly leadman at Time 
Savers, Inc.
He is survived by his wife, Gerri; son, Jeremy; brothers, Gary and Wayne 
Craft, Al Anderson; sisters, Linda Gilbertson, Rocky Baumert; parents, 
Arnold and Helen Craft; and grandmother, Nora Senenfelder.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Craft; and brother,

Frazier died Oct. 23 at Twin Rivers Care Center, Anoka. She was born Oct. 
15, 1913 in Owen County, Ky.

Mable (Eugene) Kost of Coon Rapids, Alice (Marcel) Bouley of Anoka, Betty 
Strandin of Anoka, Cecelia (David) Dube of Mounds View, Faye (Earl)

Carland of Eden Prairie; 32 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and one 
great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Frazier; son, Emmett Jr.;

Jellison died Oct. 19 at her home. She was born Feb. 16, 1937 in 
Minneapolis to Jerome and Esther Offerman.

Pinewski died Oct. 16 at St. Anthony Park Home, St. Paul. He was born Nov. 
5, 1917 in Strandquist to Andrew and Katherine (Grugal) Pinewski. He was a 
World War II veteran.

of Anoka; sisters, Martha Stwora of Columbia Heights and Beatrice 
Smithowski of St. Anthony; and nieces and nephews.

Leonard E. Johnson
Funeral services for Leonard E. Johnson, 85, formerly of Andover, took

Johnson died Nov. 12 at Bethesda Hospital in St. Paul. He was born in 
Constance on June 24, 1915 to Oscar E. and Emma C. (Brandt) Johnson. He 
was a retired farmer and cattle trucker and former supervisor of the Grow 
Township Board for many terms.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; sons, Leonard (Cathy) of St. Francis, 
David (Judy) of Alaska; daughter, Carol (Jerry) Windschitl of Andover; 15 
grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Menke of 
California; daughter-in-law, Nora Johnson of Alaska; and numerous nieces 
and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Emma; son, Bill;

William Spain
Funeral services for William Spain, 72, Coon Rapids, took place Nov. 9 at

Spain died Nov. 5 in Coon Rapids. He was born Aug. 30, 1928 in Brainerd 
and was employed in defense production. He served in the U.S. Army for 
four years, and was a life member of the VFW and longtime member of the 
American Legion and Masons.
He is survived by his wife, Jan; sister, Kathleen “Ke” (Al) Palo; brother, 
Charles “Burt” Spain; first wife Dorothy “Tiny” Rich and their three 
daughters, Linda Spain, Patricia “Patsy” (Ernie) Opheim, Virginia “Ginny” 
(Brett) SpainBrist; nine grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; and

retired from the construction industry.
