Funeral services for Ellenor L. Amundson, 79, Anoka, will take place today 
(Friday, Jan. 26), 11 a.m., at Anoka Covenant Church. Rev. Ted Nordlund 
will officiate.
Anderson died at her home Jan. 21. She was born Feb. 5, 1921 in Burns 
Township to John F. and Elizabeth L. (McNitt) Keen. She was a retired cook 
at Park Center High School.
She is survived by her sons, Mike of Osseo, Dennis and wife Julie of 
Anoka; grandchildren, Sarah, Katie, Andrea, Robert and Ryan; and sister, 
Violet Smith of Coon Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sully; two brothers; and three 
sisters.
Interment will be private in the spring in Jacobson. Arrangements are by 
Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Ronald B. Anderson
Ronald B. Anderson, 54, Ramsey, died Jan. 19 at his home. He was born Aug. 
25, 1946 in Chisholm to Raymond Anderson and Vida Dickson. He was a 
transmission technician and North Country Ford.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; son, Kevin and friend Laura; mother, 
Vida Anderson; one niece; one nephew; and many other relatives and 
friends.
He was preceded in death by his Raymond; and brother, Charles.

Phyllis Brown
Funeral services for Phyllis Brown, 70, Coon Rapids, took place Jan. 19 at 
Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Bernard A. Reiser officiated.
Brown died Jan. 16 in Coon Rapids. She was born Feb. 25, 1930 in 
Minneapolis, and was a retired 22-year employee of Federal Cartridge.
She is survived by her husband, James; children, Pamela Van Vleet (fiance 
Mark Wierlund), Laurie Inderlee (Rick Moran), Paula Dennie (fiance James 
Nau) Jennifer Garalla (Al Belisle), and Todd (Michelle) Dennie; 
stepchildren, Maria (Roger) Berg, Clyde Brown, James (Katie) Brown, and 
Raymond Brown; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; many nieces and 
nephews; and family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Vera; three sisters; and 
one brother.

Esther T. Chapman
Funeral services for Esther T. Chapman, 81, Anoka, took place Jan. 22 at

Chapman died Jan. 18 at Lynwood Health Care Center, Fridley. She was born 
Jan. 16, 1920 in Johnstown, Wis., to Theodore Haase and Lena Nass. She was 
a World War II veteran.
She is survived by her sons, Norman, Dean and wife Marcia, Mark and wife 
Barb, Calvin, Warren; grandchildren, Ian, Matthew, Denelle, Mallory and 
Nicholas; two sisters; three brothers; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice.

James Warren Elmer
Funeral services for James Warren Elmer, 68, Burns Township, took place 
Jan. 18 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Nowthen. Rev. Bill Pieper

Elmer died Jan. 15 at the Minnesota Veterans Home. He was born June 6, 
1932 in Minneapolis to Joseph Elmer and Evelyn Peterson. He served in the 
U.S. Army and was a machine technician.
He is survived by his sons, James W. (Trudy) Elmer of White Bear Lake, 
Brian A. (Patty) Elmer of Elk River, Robert M. Elmer of Andover; and 
daughter, Debra J. (Gary) Guerin of Bloomington.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred; mother, Evelyn Lindstrom; 
and sister, Patty Minehine.

Laura M. Koetke, 84, died Jan. 20 at Camilia Rose Convalescent Center, 
Coon Rapids. She was born Dec. 17, 1917 in Wheeler, Ind., to Septimous H. 
and Susan J. (Lowe) Conley and was a retired registered nurse.
She is survived by her husband, Norman; son, George Koetke; daughters, 
Linda Todd and Susan Klotz; and other family and friends.

founder and sole proprietor of the Uniformly Perfect stores.

Harvey F. Youso

retired printer with ABC Newspapers, where he worked for more than 35

Ralph R. Elofson, 79, Clearwater, Fla., formerly of Anoka, died Jan. 31.
He was the former owner of Oak Terrace Estates mobile home park in Anoka 
and a former member of the VFW and American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; sons, Randy (Donna) and Todd (Carrie), 
both of Ramsey; daughter, Kari Zapanni (Dan ) of Indian Rocks Beach, Fla.; 
and five grandchildren.

Hansen died Jan. 28. He was born Aug. 25, 1943 to Norman and Ruth Hansen. 
He was a mail processor with the U.S. Post Office, and a 17-year member of 
the Coon Rapids American Legion.

their spouses; three grandchildren; brother, William Hansen; and a niece

John T. Ingrassia
Funeral services for John T. Ingrassia, 76, Anoka, took place Feb. 5 at 
St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. Adrian Piotrowski officiated.
Ingrassia died at his home on Feb. 2. He was born May 30, 1924 in Peoria, 
Ill., to Lucas and Frances (Castronova) Ingrassia. He was a veteran of the 
U.S. Army in World War II and was supervisor in the life and health 
division of the Minnesota Department of Commerce.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; sons, Phillip (Jill) of Virginia, 
John (Sara) and Lee (Nancy), all of Maple Grove, Robert (Lida) of New York 
City; granddaughter, Kaylee Anne; brother, Mario (Janet) and 
brother-in-law, Dale Kimberlin, all of Illinois; and sister-in-law, Diane 
Ingrassia of Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Anne Frances; parents, Lucas and 
Frances; brother, Russell; and sister, Annette.
Pallbearers were his sons, Philip, John, Lee and Robert Ingrassia.
Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by 
Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Nancy Janes
Funeral services for Nancy Janes, 60, Coon Rapids, took place Feb. 5 at 
Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. Marcus Mork officiated.
Janes died Jan. 31 in Minneapolis. She was born Sept. 30, 1040 in Liberty 
Township, Mo., and was a project manager at Control Data (SMD), where she 
was a 26-year employee.
She is survived by her partner, Jerry Hambrick; children, Terry Janes, 
Tracy Ridout, Ted (Beth) Janes; grandchildren, Jessica, Amy, Jacob, 
Nicholas and Emily; mother, Wilburn Sadler; sister, Myrna Kellig; and 
former husband, Denny.
She was preceded in death by her father, Marcus Sadler.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by 
Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.

Naomi M. Kellner
Funeral services for Naomi M. Kellner, 79, Blaine, took place Jan. 31 at 
Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Revs. David Barrett and David 
Shepherd officiated.
Kellner died Jan. 27 in Fridley. She was born Sept. 6, 1921.
She is survived by her children, Alyne Koerschen, Kathleen Decheine, 
Alfred P. Kellner, and Kurt (Janice) Kellner; eight grandchildren; 15 
great-grandchildren; and brother, Bernard (Marvel) Peterson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred.
Pallbearers were Brett, David and Steven Decheine, Keith Kellner, Jamie 
Chatelle and Jason Lloyd.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements 
were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.

Dolores E. Pierce
Funeral services for Dolores E. Pierce, 91, Anoka, took place Feb. 8 at 
Anoka United Methodist Church. Rev. Kenneth Rice officiated.
Pierce died Feb. 4 at Unity Hospital. She was born in Crookston on May 17, 
1909.
She is survived by her son, Paul (Winness) Pierce Jr., of Anoka; 
daughters, Joy (Loren) Hannan of Missouri, Burnetta (Gary) Lien of Coon 
Rapids, Nickola (John) Becker of Anoka; companion, Wilber McDaniel of 
Anoka; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Pierce Sr.
Interment was at Pierce Cemetery, Oak Grove. Arrangements were by 
Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Anna Romanchuk
Funeral services for Anna R. Romanchuk, 102, Cambridge, formerly of Anoka, 
took place Feb. 5 at Nowthen Alliance Church. Rev. Robert M. Morton 
officiated.
Romanchuk died Feb. 1 at Grandview Christian Home, Cambridge. She was born 
on July 26, 1898 in Tarnopil, Ukraine, to Sylvester and Mary Richley.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Shirley; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; and son, Norman.
Pallbearers were Don and Harvey Greenberg, Joe Green, Russel Haag, Kevin 
Rundquist and Louie Wilhelmi.

Lois J. Scharber
Funeral services for Lois J. Scharber, 62, Bethel, took place Feb. 3 at 
Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, East Bethel. Rev. Brian Fragodt officiated.
Scharber died Jan. 31 at Mercy Hospital. She was born Oct. 12, 1938 in 
Grand Rapids to Charles and Avis Van Dusen. She worked for 20 years at 
Federal Cartridge.
She is survived by her husband, Arne; father, Charles Van Dusen of 
Branson, Mo.; son, Stewart Van Dusen and wife Debbie of East Bethel; 
stepsons, Steve Scharber and wife Wendy of Mounds View, Richard Scharber 
of Isanti; stepdaughters, Lynnette Stewart of Lima, Mont., Donita Scharber 
of Braham, Frances Karpen and husband Mike of Maple Grove; brother, Gary 
Van Dusen and wife Nancy of Hinckley; half-brothers, Dick Vogel and wife 
Theresa of Motley, Charles Vogel of Minneapolis; sister, Grace Erickson 
and husband Dewayne of Branson, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and many other 
relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Avis Irene Van Dusen.
Pallbearers were Larry Bufford, Scott and Terry Lemke, Scott Uram, and 
Cory and Robert Van Dusen. Honorary pallbearers were Jordan and Justin Van 
Dusen.

Helois M. Thery
Funeral services for Helois M. Thery, 64,. Coon Rapids, took place Feb. 1 
at St, Timothy’s Catholic Church, Blaine. Rev. George Kolath officiated.
Thery died Jan. 29 in Coon Rapids. She was born Nov. 24, 1936 in Caledonia 
and worked for Anoka County.
She is survived by her sons, Fred of Princeton and Bruce (Pennie) of Coon 
Rapids; daughter, Michelle (Joe) Witzmann of Isanti; grandchildren, Lucas, 
Tiffany, Trevor, Joseph, Matthew and Bridget; brothers, Earl (Leah) Ryan 
of Stockton, Calif., and Bill (Margaret) Ryan of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 
and sisters, Anna Marie Henley of Springfield, Mo., Beatrice Kramer of 
Highland., Ky., Mary Kay Lethbridge of Northfield, and Patricia (Terry) 
Curran of LaCrescent.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; parents; two brothers; and 
three sisters.
Interment was private at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements
