Funeral services for Evelyn Reese Anderson, 89, Coon Rapids, took place 
Jan. 11 at Swede Home Lutheran Church, Clarkfield. Rev. Julie Smith 
officiated.
Anderson died Jan. 7 in Coon Rapids. She was born June 26, 1911 to Sigval 
and Emily Holton Reese.
She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Frashier (Grant) of Coleraine, 
and Cynthia Anderson of Coon Rapids; special niece, Ardith Andersen of Oak 
Park; and other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin.
Pallbearers were Al and Mark Reese, Dennis Wahl, Keith Hendrickson, Merle 
Pearson and Chuck Gaffney.
Interment was at Swede Home Lutheran Cemetery, Clarkfield. Arrangements 
were by Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Anoka.

Evelyn Cartwright
Funeral services for Evelyn Elaine Cartwright, 83, St. Louis Park, will 
take place today (Friday, Jan. 19) at Gearhart Funeral Chapel, Coon 
Rapids.
Cartwright died Jan. 13. She was born in Chariton, Iowa, to George and 
Myrtle Parsons. She was a retired cook.
She is survived by her sons, LeRoy (Barbara) and Steven (Jeanne); 
grandchildren, David, Christine, Lorinda (Christopher), Andrea (Darrin) 
and Daniel; great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Theodore; brother, Guil (Sally) 
Parsons; and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Abel.
Pallbearers are Guil Parsons, Dan Huntsperger, David and Daniel 
Cartwright, Christopher Freeman and Darrin Bleess.
Interment will be at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids.

Amanda Crane
Funeral services for Amanda Crane, 87, Coon Rapids, took place Jan. 17 at 
Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. Bernard A. Reiser 
officiated.
Crane died Jan. 13 in Coon Rapids. She was born Aug. 22, 1913 in Dennison. 
She was retired from employment in housekeeping.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Sansone (Ed); granddaughters, 
Kimberly Sansone and Kellie McNichols (Mike); great-grandson, Nathaniel 
McNichols; brothers, Clifford and Richard Estrem; and many nieces, 
nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; sisters, Mary Ann Bonar, 
Hazel Estrem; and brother, Lawrence Estrem.
Pallbearers were Thomas, Philip and Roger Estrem, and Michael McNichols.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by

Alice Pearl Gray
Funeral services for Alice Pearl Gray, 82, Blaine, took place Jan. 10 at 
Gearhart Funeral Chapel.
Gray died Jan. 6. She was born in Warren, Ohio, to Gilbert and Lavian 
Rummell. She was retired from retail work.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and James Rust; son 
and daughter-in-law, Clifford and Michele Gray; grandchildren, Daniel 
Soderstrom, Nicolette Gray, Kristina Strain, Matthew Gray and Justin Gray; 
and great-grandmother, Marlah Soderstrom.
She was preceded in death by husband, Clifford Gray.
Pallbearers were Daniel Soderstrom, Matthew and Justin Gray, and Jason 
Strain.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements

Dolores B. Herold
Funeral services for Dolores B. Herold, 93, Elk River, took place Jan. 18 
at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. Michael Paquet officiated.
Herold died Jan. 12 at Guardian Angels Nursing Home, Elk River. She was 
born July 27, 1907 in St. Paul to Bartholomew Rieger and Augusta Garrick.
She is survived by her sons, C. Warren and Michael (Jean); nine 
grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and 
numerous other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E.; son, Larry; and 
sisters, Beatrice Bies and Lorraine Tesch.
Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, St. Paul. Arrangements were by 
Kapala-Glodek-Gearhart, Anoka.

Casaundra Hinkel
Funeral services for Casaundra Ann Hinkel, 1 1/2, Andover, took place Jan.

She died Jan. 2. She was born in Coon Rapids to Chad and Lori Hinkel.
She is survived by her parents, Chad and Lori; grandparents, Earl and 
Peggy Hinkel, Tom and Ann Powers; four great-grandparents; aunts and 
uncles, Tom Powers Jr., Chris and Tiffany Powers, Larry and Jill Powers, 
Margie Powers, Bill Powers, and Cory Hinkel; and cousins, Morgan, Brooke 
and Jessica Powers.

Morris B. Johnson
Funeral services for Morris B. Johnson, 66, East Bethel, will take place 
Jan. 20 at Quamba Baptist Church. Rev. Ivan Fiske will officiate.
Johnson died Jan. 13 in East Bethel. He was born Aug. 7, 1934 in Mora and 
was a chemical engineer.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene; daughter, Sonja; sons, Colin (Valerie) 
and Bryce (Nichelle); granddaughters, Alissa and Katrina; grandson, 
Trenten; brother, Swan; and sister, Carol.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, Reuben and Bruce; and 
sister, Frances.

Randy David Larson
Funeral services for Randy David Larson, 30, Blaine, take place today 
(Friday, Jan. 19), 10 a.m., at Abiding Saviour Lutheran Church, Mounds 
View. Rev. Lisa Richardson will officiate.
Larson died Jan. 14 in a snowmobile accident in Alaska. He was born Jan. 
18, 1970 in Minneapolis to Karen and Richard Larson of Blaine. He was a 
graduate of Blaine High School and worked for Ace Solid Waste.
He is survived by his parents, Richard and Karen; sister, Kim (Tom) 
Stoffel; brothers, Robert (Boni), Ryan (Stacie); grandmother, Pearl 
Larson; four nieces; two nephews; and many relatives and friends.

Willard Morrau
Funeral services for Willard Morrau, 85, Minneapolis, took place Jan. 13 
at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. James Donald 
officiated.
Morrau died Jan. 6 in Minneapolis. He was born Dec. 26, 1915 in Battle 
Lake, and was a retired manager.
He is survived by his children, Randi (Eric) Markussen, Mark (Susan) 
Moreau, Claire Moreau, Martha (Kevin) Cassidy; grandchildren, Maria, Sam, 
Emma, Lucy, Hadley, and Jodi; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; brother, Ray; and sister, 
Ellen.

Marjorie L. Nelson
Graveside services for Marjorie L. Nelson, 72, Fridley, will take place 
Jan. 22, 10 a.m., at Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis.
Nelson died Jan. 11 at Anoka Good Samaritan Center. She was born Oct. 5, 
1928 in Cumberland, Wis., to John and Helen M. (Cagley) Nelson.
She is survived by her sister, Patricia Balestrieri; niece, Sue (Tom) 
Westermeyer and their children, Mandy and Eric, all of Wisconsin; and 
lifelong friend, Carol Bazevage.
Interment will be at Lakewood Cemetery. Arrangements are by

Mary Ann Noble
Funeral services for Mary Ann Noble, 68, Mounds View, took place.
Noble died at Unity Hospital. She was born June 8, 1932 to Walter and 
Gertrude McLain. She was a life member of the Fridley VFW Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; sisters, Mae Maruski, Betty Moen; 
brothers, Fred McLain, Kenneth McLain and Richard McLain; and many nieces 
and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Walter “Bud” 
Stewart.

Cecil Runyon, Virginia, formerly of Anoka, died Dec. 29, 2000 in Virginia.
Marcie R. Schesso
Funeral services for Marcie Rose Schesso, 66, Coon Rapids, took place Jan.

Schesso died Jan. 10 in New Brighton. She was born March 6, 1934 in 
Chicago, Ill.
She is survived by her husband, August; son, August Jr.; grandchildren, 
Rebecca and William; sisters, Gertrude and Darlene; and brothers, Raymond, 
John and Gene.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert; and sister, Delores.

Nellie E. Anderson
Funeral services for Nellie E. (Person) Anderson, 91, Anoka, took place 
Jan. 3 at Anoka United Methodist Church. Rev. Kenneth A. Rice officiated.
Anderson died Dec. 27 at Twin Rivers Care Center, Anoka. She was born Aug. 
6, 1909 in Morley, Iowa, to Edward and Hazel (Strickel) Turner. She was a 
librarian for 32 years starting at the old Carnegie Library in Anoka and 
retired in 1974. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Martha Chapter 
for 62 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Schipper of Anoka; son, Rod Person 
of St. Paul; stepdaughter, June Rohling of Champlin; brother, Paul Turner 
and wife Hazel of San Leandro, Calif.; grandchildren, Jay Judkins of Las 
Vegas, Nev., Mary Caine of Anoka, and Sandra Schipper of Mt. Shasta, 
Calif.; great-grandchildren, Derek Judkins and Jessica Anderson of Anoka, 
Cory Schoefter of Delores, Colo., Chanel Judkins of Las Vegas, and Kate 
Onell of Madison, Wis.; four great-great-grandchildren; nephews, Terry and 
Gene Turner of San Jose, Calif.; niece, Brenda Nyhart of Oregon and their 
families; sister-in-law, Selma Smith of Coon Rapids; and 
stepgrandchildren, Sue Ketel and husband Roger and their children, Brian, 
Grant and Carrie, all of Rogers, Nancy Stenquist and her children, April

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Hazel Turner; first

Aasness died Dec. 26 at Mercy Hospital. She was born March 27, 1925 in 
Fergus Falls to Andrew E. and Anna K (Sander) Bye. 
She is survived by her sons, Richard and wife Donna of Andover, James and 
wife Kay of Zimmerman; daughter, Marjorie Schaffer and husband Eric of 
Eden Prairie; grandchildren, Sarah Wincek, Carrie Johnson, Karl, Kimberly 
and Kelsey Aasness; brothers, Alfred Bye and Harold Bye and wife Gladys, 
all of Fergus Falls; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville; son, Ronald; one

Magdalina Beckman
Funeral services for Magdalina C. “Maggie” Beckman, 83, Anoka, will take 
place today (Friday, Jan. 5), 11 a.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka.

Beckman died Dec. 30 at her home. She was born May 28, 1917 in Roscoe, 
N.D., to Fred and Christina (Widerrich) Hoffer. She was a retired machine 
operator at Federal Cartridge in Anoka.
She is survived by her children, Robert Beckman, Linda Anderson and 
husband Glen, Darlene Dahlheimer and husband Michael, Janice Shiltz and 
husband Scott, Michael M. Beckman and wife Julie; nine grandchildren; 
seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Mervin Hoffer and wife Lorraine; one 
brother; and four sisters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Manford; two brothers; and two 
sisters.

Patricia Ann Dalske
Funeral services for Patricia Ann Dalske. 65, Oak Grove, took place Dec.

Dalske died at her home. She was born July 7, 1935 in Milwaukee, Wis., to 
Charles Palkowski and Anna Moczynski.
She is survived by her husband, Alfred; children, Mark Dalske and wife 
Denise, Carol Dalske-Nelson, Thomas Dalske and wife Rae Lynn, James Dalske 
and wife Sarah, Robert Dalske; and 11 grandchildren.

Ronald L. Darsie
Funeral services for Ronald Leirmont Darsie, 75, Coon Rapids, took place

Darsie died Dec. 21. He was born in St. Paul to Thomas and Elvera Darsie. 
He was a car man for the Soo Line Railroad.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; five sons; two daughters; 18 
grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Nancy Erickson
Funeral services for Nancy Erickson, 50, East Bethel, took place Jan. 3 at

Erickson died Dec. 30 in Coon Rapids. She was born Oct. 25, 1950 in St. 
Cloud.
She is survived by her children, Joelle and Justin Erickson; sister, Joni 
Land (Tim); brothers, Jim Freberg (Terri), Joel Freberg (Connie); father, 
Jim Freberg; life partner, Ron Groebner; nieces and nephews; and many 
friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Freberg.

Edward M. Felten, 65, Ham Lake, died Dec. 20 at Methodist Hospital,

He was born Feb. 22, 1935 in Rose Creek to John B. and Elizabeth (Wagner) 
Felten. He was a retired employee of Scheid Plumbing.
He is survived by his wife, Sybil of Ham Lake; sons, Michael (Cynthia) 
Turvey and Mark (Barbara) Turvey of Austin, Kevin Turvey of Fort Worth, 
Texas, and James (Lisa) Turvey of Winona; daughters, Debra Agby of Clarks 
Grove, and Toni Love of Marion, Ind.; eight grandchildren; two

Finnesgard died Dec. 31 in Coon Rapids. He was born Feb. 13, 1938 in 
Kenyon and was a manager.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; children, Becky (Ty) Grahn, Randy 
Finnesgard, Jeanne (Paul) Petitt, Laurie (Jon) Danielson, and Leon 
LaBerge; 10 grandchildren; two sisters; six brothers; and nieces, nephews 
and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ruth.

Michael W. Geariety

Geariety died Dec. 25 at Mercy Hospital. He was born Nov. 22, 1947 in 
Minneapolis to William H. Geariety and Ethel C. Jacoby. He was a sheet 
metal worker and a U.S. Navy veteran in Vietnam.

MacIntosh, S.D. He was a retired grocer and former employee of Nash Finch.
He is survived by his wife Ruth; and son, Jim.

Ada Marie Gjorvad
Funeral services for Ada Marie Gjorvad, 88, Mounds View, took place Dec. 
29 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. Lisa Richardson

Gjorvad died Dec. 26 at Mercy Hospital. She was born Oct. 29, 1912 in 
Minneapolis to John W. Nelson and Effie Clark. She was a retired 
supervisor in food service at the Anoka State Hospital.
She is survived by her son, Richard Blesi and wife Charlotte; 
granddaughter, Lisa Henegar and husband Bob; grandson, Mark Blesi and wife 
Pam; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Jacob Henegar, Mason, Nick and 
Tashia Blesi; brother, Melvin Nelson and wife Doloris; and many nieces, 
nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Gjorvad; and sisters, 
Natalie and Vivian.

Joseph C. Houser
Funeral services for Joseph C. Houser, 75, Anoka, took place Dec. 28 at 
St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. Mike Paquet officiated. 
Houser died at Guardian Angels Nursing Home, Elk River. He was born April 
28, 1925 in Ida Grove, Iowa, to Arthur V. and Catherine A. (Olson) Houser. 
He was retired from Federal Cartridge in Anoka. He served in the U.S. Army 
in World War II and was a member of Knights of Columbus No. 2018, Anoka, 
and the St. Stephen’s choir.
He is survived by his wife, Verleitta; sons, Joseph (Norene) Houser of 
Champlin, Timothy (Shelly) Houser of Ramsey, Michael Houser of 
Minneapolis; grandchildren, Catherine (Duane) Hall of Shakopee, Jason 
Houser of Winona, Michelle Houser of Eagan, Christopher Houser of St. Paul 
Park, Jeremiah Bormes of Fridley; and great-grandson, Mitchell Hall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Catherine Houser; and 
an infant brother.

Funeral services for Jon W. Kuno, 53, Anoka, will take place Saturday, 
Jan. 13, 1:30 p.m., at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Kuno died Dec. 27 at his home. He was born in Montevideo to Wayne D. Kuno 
and Delores J. Marquardt. He was a music teacher in the Osseo School 
District and played in the Lake Wobegon Brass Band.
He is survived by his father, Wayne; wife, Renee; sons, Ryan and Alex; and 
sisters, Renee and husband Craig Wicklund and Cozette and husband Tom 
Butts.

Johnson.

Cory Probst
Funeral services for Cory Probst, 18, Rogers, took place Jan. 2 at Zion 
Lutheran Church. Rev. Timothy Johnson officiated.
Probst died Dec. 28 in Rogers in a snowmobile accident. He was born Oct. 
7, 1982 in Long Prairie to Jerry P. Probst and Susan D. Hetland. He was a 
student at Champlin Park High School.
He is survived by his parents, Sue and Jerry Probst; grandparents, Dean 
and Bev Hetland, Lois Probst; uncles, Scott and Steve Hetland, John 
Probst; and nieces and nephews, Janessa, Shawnee, Michael, Rebecca and 
Rachel Hetland, Christopher, Joel and Seth Probst.
Pallbearers were Mike Maikkula, Chris Brabant, Joseph Dibble, Frank 
Jadwin, Patrick Simco and Robert McCurry.
Interment was at Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Eagle Bend. Arrangements were by 
Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Florence Sizer
Funeral services for Florence Sizer, 76, Coon Rapids, took place Dec. 29 
at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Dr. Thomas McDoll 
officiated.
Sizer died Dec. 27 in Coon Rapids. She was born April 7, 1924 in 
Minneapolis.
She is survived by her husband, Douglas D.; son, Gerry (Carol); daughters, 
Karen Herrboldt (Chet), Merrilee Jarvis (Gary); four grandchildren; three 
great-grandchildren; a large extended family, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Sheldon; and brother, Herold Buhrow.
Interment was private. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.

Sue Ann Soderberg
Memorial services for Sue Ann Soderberg, 38, Circle Pines, took place Dec. 
29 at Presbyterian Homes of Arden Hills Chapel. Rev. Gerald Foley 
officiated.
Soderberg died Dec. 23 at her home. She was born July 21, 1952 in San 
Antonio. Texas, to Robert and Marjorie Lee. She was director of care at 
The Farmstead, Andover.
She is survived by her sons, Nels of Andover and Andrew of Circle Pines; 
parents, Robert and Marjorie Lee of Siren, Wis.; brothers, Jerr (Susie), 
John (Jeri), Sim (Claudia); grandmother, Celina; uncle, Dick; aunts, Betty 
(Paul), Mona (Harold); six nieces and nephews; and close friends, 
Roseanne, Lynn and Jill.
Interment was at Lakeview Cemetery, Siren, Wis. Arrangements were by 
Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Blaine.

Charlotte Sunderlin
Funeral services for Charlotte Sunderlin, 84, Blaine, took place Dec. 29 
at Church of the Resurrection, Spring Lake Park. Canon John Rettger 
officiated.
Sunderlin died Dec. 26 in Fridley. She was born Oct. 30, 1916 in 
Minneapolis and owned and operated Charlotte’s Popcorn Wagon on Nicollet 
Mall for 23 years.
She is survived by her brother, Richard Sowden; daughter, Charlotte (Dean) 
Sabby; sons, James (Anne), Richard (Margaret), and Robert (Beth); 
grandchildren, Jim, Scott, Linda, Terry, Cathy, Rich, De, Darrin, Curt, 
Ben, Melissa, Shannon and Barbara; great-grandchildren, April, Jimmy, 
John, Jayce, Kolton, Kierstyn, Caitlin, Hunter, Layne, Matthew, Justin, 
Sarah, Jonothon, Jarrod, Derek and Cody; and great-greatgrandchildren, 
Alexis and Karen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; parents; sister, 
Phyllis; and brother, Joseph.
Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by

Jerome Tatley Sr.
Funeral services for Jerome Tatley Sr., 59, Kent, Wash., took place Jan. 3 
at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Tatley died Dec. 27 in Seattle, Wash. He was born April 13, 1941 in 
Hitterdahl. He was employed in construction.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer; sons, Jerry (Lousinda) and Jeff; 
grandchildren, Justin and Riley; brothers, Wallace (Ingrid), Donald 
(Darlene) and Herman (Linda); and sisters, Gladys (Shelvin) Syverson and 
Flora Rodvold.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Justin; and three brothers.
Interment was in Hitterdahl. Arrangements were Washburn-McReavy Seman 
Chapel.

John R. Weiss
Funeral services for John R. Weiss, 78, Coon Rapids, took place Dec. 27 at 
Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. Marcus Mork officiated.
Weiss died Dec. 23 in Coon Rapids. He was born June 24, 1922 in 
Minneapolis. He was a retired railroad worker with the Soo Line Railroad.
He is survived by his sons, Steve and Larry Weiss.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie.
Interment was at Crystal Lake Cemetery, Minneapolis. Arrangements were by 
Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.

Kenneth Zablocki
Funeral services for Kenneth Zablocki, 64, Blaine, took place Dec. 28 at

Zablocki died Dec. 25 in Blaine. He was born April 15, 1936 in Alberta 
Township. He was an electronic technician with the U.S. Post Office.
He is survived by his wife, Roseann; sons, Brian (Nancy) and Daniel, both 
of Blaine; daughter, Victoria of Fridley; grandchildren, Nicholas and 
Krista; brothers, Richard (Shirley) of Little Falls, Dennis (Shiela) of 
Foley; sisters, Delphine (Sam) Cichon of Minneapolis, and Rita Hatch of 
Minneapolis; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Daniel and Leroy; and 
sister, Phyllis Funt.
Interment was at Epiphany Cemetery, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by
