Funeral services for Katherine L. Conger, 77, Anoka, took place April
26 at Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka. Rev. Timothy Johnson officiated.
Conger died April 22 in Coon Rapids. She was born Dec. 25, 1924 in
St. Paul to Jack and Lucille Olifeck.
She is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Chet and Judy, Scott
and Melissa Conger; grandchildren, Amy, Tony, Taylor and Trevor; and sister,
Ann Jepson.
Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Chapel, Anoka.
Thomas Godfrey
Funeral services for Thomas A. Godfrey, 66, Coon Rapids, took place
April 30 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids, and in Superior,
Wis.
Godfrey died April 27. He was born Sept. 30, 1935 in Superior, Wis.
He as employed in sales.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; children, Colleen, Gregg, Brian
(Michelle), Lynn Glaser (Bruce); grandchildren, Derek and Cory Glaser,
Andrea and Adam Godfrey; sister, Lorna DeMars and her family; in-laws,
Ken and Gloria Richardson and their family; and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Effie Godfrey; nephew,
Tim DeMars; and niece, Rebecca DeMars.
Interment was at Solon Springs, Wis. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy
Seman Chapel.
Robert Harrington
Funeral services for Robert A. Harrington, 86, Coon Rapids, will take
place tomorrow (May 4) at Gearhart Funeral Chapel, Coon Rapids. Chaplain
Scott Cartwright will officiate.
Harrington died April 27 at White Bear Lake. He was born July 31, 1915
in Clinton, Mass., to Arthur and Leone Harrington. He was a retired operations
manager.
He is survived by his daughters, Pamela, Patricia, Roberta and Phyllis;
sister, Edith; brothers, John, Donald (Anne), and Jerry (Yoshiko); 10 grandchildren;
and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Harrington; son, Douglas;
and brothers, William, Eugene and Wayne.
Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Bemidji. Arrangements are
by Gearhart Funeral Chapel.
Esther Ritter
Funeral services for Esther E. Ritter, 92, Ham Lake, formerly of Blaine
and Spring Lake Park, took place April 26 at Cambridge Funeral Home - Strike
Chapel. Rev. Arthur Kosts officiated.
Ritter died April 22 at Cambridge Health Care Center. She was born
Feb. 11, 1910 to Henry and Ida Adams.
She is survived by her son, Robert Ritter and wife Jo of Ham Lake;
brother, Lester Adams and wife LaVonne of Mound; grandchildren, Lisa, Kimberly,
Ronald and Tara; great-grandchildren, Kristen, Timothy, Angela, Wolfgang
and Roman; great-great-granddaughter, Madison; and other relatives and
friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell; and brothers, Raymond
and Elmer.
Interment was at Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis. Arrangements were
by Cambridge Funeral Home - Strike Chapel.
Frederic Thery Jr.
Funeral services for Frederic H. Thery, Jr., 42, Isanti, took place
April 25 at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, Blaine. Rev. George Kolath officiated.
Thery died April 25. He was born Feb. 7, 1961 in Caledonia, and was
a rental company man-ager.
He is survived by his sister, Michelle Witzmann (Joe); brother, Bruce
(Pennie); nieces and nephews, Joseph, Matthew, Lucas, Tiffany, Trevor and
Bridget.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederic Sr. and Helois.

Glenn Wood
Funeral services for Glenn M. Wood, 82, Coon Rapids, took place April
20 at Peace Lutheran Church. Rev. Heather Teune officiated.
Wood died in Coon Rapids. He was born in Red Wing to Frank and Mary
Wood, and was a retired carpenter.
He is survived by his wife, Marion; children, Michael (Cynthia), Rosemary
(Steve) Tharp, Doug (Sandra), Paul (Linda), Paulette (Dave) Stenglein,
Glenn (Nancy Fuller); grandchildren, Jeffrey, Erin, Derek, Shawn, Lane,
Travis, Brock, Dale, Alice, Paul, Amanda, Jesse, Dylan; great-grandchildren,
Christian, Madeline, Noah and Allison; brother, Carl; sisters, Blanche
Anderson and Ruth Stogdill.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Walter and Vincent; and sister,

Funeral services for Byron L. Bauer, 74, Coon Rapids, took place May
3 at the Church of St. Timothy, Blaine. Rev. George Kolath officiated.
Bauer died in Minneapolis. He was born Oct. 15, 1927 to John and Emma
Bauer and was a master electrician.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; sisters, Nancy (Bob) Dold, Becky
(Bob)Sales; sons, Randy and Jim (Molly); grandchildren, Jon and Jessica;
and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Donald; sisters,
Devona and Esther; and brothers-in-law, Jerry Schintgen and Melvin Martens.
Pallbearers were Greg, David, Steve, John and Scott Sales, and Jon
and Jessica Bauer.
Honorary pallbearers were Tell Yelle, Rich Schintgen, Ken LaBore, Bob

Funeral services for Daryl A. “Becky” Beckenbach, 65, Anoka, took place
May 5 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Chapel, Anoka. Rev. Dave Briley officiated.
Beckenbach died May 1 at Mercy Hospital. He was born Feb. 2, 1937 in
Anoka to Earl J. and Golden B. (Menter) Beckenbach and was a machinist
at Ardel Engineering.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene (nee Bettinger); daughters, Jodi
(Monty), Robin (Keith); sons, Darrin (Shannon) and Nathan; sisters, Cheri
(Doug) Gearhart, Sioux Beckenbach, Kathy (Mark) Fischer; brothers, Carl
and Kerry (Lynn); 12 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Golden; and brothers,
Charles and Ronald.

Dorothy Bultman
Funeral services for Dorothy M. Bultman, 76, Circle Pines, took place

Bultman died April 27 at Unity Hospital. She was born Jan. 13, 1926
in Warmann.
She is survived by her son, Russell; daughters, Judy Magnuson and Patricia
Salisbury; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; twin brother, Donald
Wehlast; and sisters, Virginia Canfield, Marie Moline and Betty Schlegle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; and brother, Wilard.

Shirley Crowell
Funeral services for Shirley Mae Crowell, 72, Coon Rapids, took place
May 9 at Meadow Creek Church, Rev. Warren Schmalzer officiated.
Crowell died May 4 in Coon Rapids. She was born March 9, 1930 in Manganese,
and was employed in day care.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; daughter, Jacki (Ted) Lachinski;
sons, Bill (Chris), Chuck (Sue); grandchildren, Ann Lachinski, Jacob, Cassandra
and Paul Crowell; sister, Audrey Spiess; and many relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Red and Honey Endicott; granddaughters,
Shaunna; and sister, Becky.
Pallbearers were William III, Charles, David and John Crowell, Michael
Auman, and Theodore Lachinski.

Margaret Jorgenson
Memorial services for Margaret Jorgenson, 92, Mora, formerly of Anoka,
took place at Cross of Hope Lutheran Church, Ramsey.
Jorgenson died April 15 at North Memorial Medical Center. She was born
June 7, 1910 in Minneapolis and was employed for many years at Federal
Cartridge.
She is survived by her son, John Wilson (Judy); daughter, Evelyn Burley
(Harold); 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild;
two sisters; and one brother.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, John (Mike) C. Wilson
Sr.; second husband, Clarence (Kelly) Jorgenson; and daughter, Eleanor.
Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by
the Cremation Society of Minnesota.
Carl Korzeniowski
Funeral services for Carl Korzeniowski, 82, Blaine, took place May
3 at Church of St. Timothy, Blaine. Rev. Harold Tasto officiated.
Korzeniowski died April 29. He was born Nov. 28, 1919 in Minneapolis
and was a retired auto mechanic.
He is survived by his wife, Michaline; children, Mary (Todd Dyste),
Rosemary, John (Janet), Joseph; grandchildren, John, Diana, Frank, Anna
Rose; and brother, Robert (Marilyn.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were

Edna Matthias
Funeral services for Edna A. Matthias, 92, Champlin, took place May
8 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. Rev. Dennis Heiden officiated.
Matthias died May 4 at Methodist Hospital, St. Louis Park. She was
born June 24, 1909 in Centerville, Wis., to Edward and Emma (Rasner) Freis.
He was retired salesperson at Minnesota Fabrics.
She is survived by a son and daughter; 23 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren;
and other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harvey Lorfeld and Walter
Matthias; and four children.
Interment will take place in Wisconsin. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg
Funeral Home, Anoka.
Jennifer Narloch
Funeral services for Jennifer J. Narloch, 17, St. Francis, took place
May 3 at Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Francis. Revs. J.R. Baumgarn and
D.H. Baumgarn officiated.
Narloch died April 30 at University Hospital, Minneapolis. She was
born Feb. 11, 1985 in Fridley to Norman A. and Lisa R. (Halverson) Narloch.
She was a student at St. Francis High School.
She is survived by her parents, Norman and Lisa; sister, Megan; grandparents,
Roy and Joan Halverson of Isanti and Norbert and Sharon Narloch of Mesa,
Ariz; great-grandmothers, June Welch of St. Francis and Berniece Bohn of
Blaine; and uncles, aunts and cousins

Marjorie Nelson
Funeral services for Marjorie E. Nelson, 78, Dayton, took place May

Nelson died May 2 at Twin Rivers Care Center, Anoka. She was born June
21, 1923 in Outlook, Mont., to Roy O. Nelson and Edna E. Koester. She was
a retired teller supervisor at Midwest Federal.
She is survived by her brother, Pete (Kaye) Nelson; niece, Dana; nephew,
Erik; and close friend, Phyllis Lahn.

Steven Nielsen
Funeral services for Steven Nielsen, 15, Coon Rapids, took place May
1 at First Congregational Church of Anoka. Revs. Sharon and Christopher
Fazel officiated.
Nielsen died April 27 after a long battle with leukemia. He was born
March 13, 1987 in Fridley and was a student at Coon Rapids High School.
He is survived by his parents, Mike and Janine; sister, Laura; grandparents,
Bob and Pat Nielsen, Ben and Doris Wilkin; great-grandmother, Alice Gustafson;
aunts and uncles, Ben Wilkin (Tania), Bob Nielsen (Cheryl), Terri Knowlan
(Craig), Kathy Layne (Kevin), Joan Olin (David), Chuck Nielsen; special
friends, Steve Evans and Joe Bristlin; and many cousins and friends.

Richard Olson
Funeral services for Richard A. Olson, 69, Anoka, took place May 6
at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. William Heib officiated.
Olson died April 30 at Our Lady of Good Counsel. He was born Dec. 30,
1932 and was a U.S. veteran, an engineer, and the founder and owner of
Olson’s Lunch Wagon.
He is survived by his wife, Virgeanne Olson; daughter, Tristan (Brian)
Hanson; son, Kyle Olson; grandsons, Alexa, Lukas and Mitchell; sister,
June Olson; and brothers, Robert, Curtis and Victor.
Pallbearers were Lenny Engren, Brian Godwin, Steve and Ken Reed, Alex
Olson, Jay Elstad, Bill Greip and Ron Hanson.

Chester Pettijohn
Funeral services for Chester L. Pettijohn, 88, Blaine, took place May
3 at Glen Cary Lutheran Church, Ham Lake. Rev. Tom Moen officiated.
Pettijohn died April 29 at Mercy Hospital. He was born Oct. 9, 1913
in Rhae, Mo., to Asa M. Pettijohn and Mary M. Schmitt. He was an assistant
foreman n at the Ghostley Poultry Farm for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; son, Kevin (Wanda); daughters,
Kathryn Swing and Karin Gallagher; grandchildren, Kristofer Pettijohn,
Danny and Cindy Gallagher, Lisa (Leonard) Vickstrom, Karla Donner, Kristi
(Scott) LaRowe; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Connie Granstrom
and Lila Jones; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, David Swing; great-grandson,
John Donner III; four brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral services for Lucille A. Richards, 86, Anoka, took place May

Richards died May 1 at Hillcrest Health Care Center, Wayzata. She was
born May 14, 1915 in Anoka to Martin J. Richards and Ethel A. Reilly. She
was a retired supervisor at Honeywell Inc. after 30-plus years.
She is survived by her brothers, Arthur (Theresa) Richards of Hailey,
Ind.; 21 nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Marty Richards Jr., John and Jim Iund, Michelle Dobisch,
Brian Erickson and Herb Roy.

Leonard Ruzynski
Funeral services for Leonard Ruzynski, 65, Coon Rapids, took place
March 27 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids., Rev. Bernard Reiser
officiated.
Ruzynski died March 24. He was born Oct. 26, 1936 in Floodwood and
was a retired trucking claims agency and a member of the Air National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Holly; children, Mike (Wanda), Anita Dunn,
Janet Heryla (Tom) and Victor; grandchildren, Maria, Danielle, Diana, Bryan,
Mandy, Kristen, Cole, Mary and Tia; mother, Catherine; brothers and sisters,
Russ, Ron, Paul, Rosemary and Marcella; and many nieces, nephews, relatives
and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul.
Interment was at Epiphany Cemetery, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were

Janet Schroeder
Funeral services for Janet S. Schroeder, 52, Coon Rapids, took place
May 4 at Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka. Rev. Liane S. Rock officiated.
Schroeder died April 23 at the Pillars Hospice Residence, Oakdale.
She was born June 21, 1949 in Princeton to Leonard and Edith (Sehl) Schroeder.
She was a math teacher at Coon Rapids High School and an active member
of ADK and PEO.
She is survived by her siblings, Elaine (Harlan) Kingsley, Paul Schroeder,
Susan (Mark) Rassier; special friend, Jerry Beckman; nieces and nephews,
Lisa and Denise Kingsley and Ayn and Wyatt Rassier.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Edith Schroeder;
and grandparents.
Pallbearers were Don Bosch, Jeff DeJoy, Howard Helgen, Guy Reuss, and
Cliff and David Schroeder.
Interment was at Macville Cemetery, Macville Township, Aitkin County.

Dora Seaberg

Seaberg died April 28 in Anoka. She was born June 26, 1917 in Mathoua.
She is survived by her children, Pat Starr, John Forrestal, Francis
(Victoria) Forrestal, Joyce Wright, Brian Seaberg Diane Hunt; 16 grandchildren,
12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Lutzy (Noel), Avis Rannow; and brother,
Allen (Roberta).
Pallbearers were Jason and Jeff Forrestal, Scott, David and Dan Johnson,
and Tim Rannow.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were

Herbert Solem
Funeral services for Herbert L. Solem, 82, Coon Rapids, took place
May 1 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Chaplain Alton Knutson
officiated.
Solem died April 28 in Coon Rapids. He was born March 7, 1920 in Melham,
S.D., and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 32 years and served
seven years as a custodian in St. Francis schools. He was a U.S. Army veteran
from World War II, and a member of the VFW, DAV, CBI and American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Violet; daughters, Lavonne (Richard) Wilson
and Beverly (Dean) Eberhard; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren;
brothers, Don (Louise) and Norris (Lori); and sister, Esther Ridenour.
Pallbearers were Robert, Patrick, Bobby, Ryan, Brian and Brandon McCann.
Interment was at Elmhurst Cemetery, St. Paul. Arrangements were by

William Van Nurden
Funeral services for William A. Van Nurden, 73, Coon Rapids, took place
May 2 at Gearhart Funeral Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. Leonne Worcester officiated.
Van Nurden died in Coon Rapids. He was born May 22, 1928 in Kimball
to George and Lily Van Nurden and was a mechanic.
He is survived by his wife, Alice; daughters, Connie (Colin) Steinke,
Bonnie (Bruce) Petersen, Susan Iliff, Julia (Rollin) Morrisette; Nichol
Van Nurden; son, Gregory (Deborah); 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren;
five sisters; one brother; and many other friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers; and sisters.
Pallbearers were Jesse Iliff, Ryan Petersen, Matteau Morrisette, Timothy

Larry Walker
Funeral services for Larry Gene Walker, 60, Coon Rapids, took place

Walker died April 28. He was born March 27, 1942 in Wadena and was
a finance director.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; sons, David (Mary) and Tim (Jenny);
daughters, Shelley Miller and Shayne Penalva (Max); and brothers, Richard
and Roger.

Lloyd Wyatt
Memorial services for Lloyd A. “Skeeter” Wyatt, 83, Burns Township,
took place May 3 at Blessed Cross United Methodist Church, Zimmerman.
Wyatt died April 30 at his home. He was a 30-year employee of Garlock
Equipment and served in the Army in World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Ida; children, Allen, Bonnie (Larry) Papenfuss,
Cathy (Steve) Wood; family friend, Barbara Velander; grandchildren, Dawn
(Mark) Berndt, Amy (Steve) Brinker, Mary Dietsch, Kyle Wood and Ross Wood;
