86, a resident of 506 Denny St., died Monday, December 29, 1997 in the High Point Regional Hospital following six days of hospitalization.  Mrs. GREEN was born in Alamance County, November 9, 1911, a daughter of Charles P. and Alice CAPPS SHEPHERD.  She was employed by Underwood Paving and Grading for 50 years and was also a self-employed accountant.  Mrs. GREEN was a past president of the NC Accountants Association, a life member and past-president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. #619, and a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
She was twice married, first to Hurley C. BEAL who died in 1953, and then to Darrell H. GREEN who survives of the home.  Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Ms. Nancy HOLMES of Winston-Salem;  a granddaughter, Ms. Tara F. HOLMES of Germanton;  two brothers, Burl SHEPHERD of Alamance County and J.D. SHEPHERD of Chapel Hill.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Harold C. Davis Funeral Chapel by Dr. Scott Wood Nansee.  Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 1 until 2 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, 1004 N. 66 died Monday, Sept. 29, 1997, at a Bangor hospital after a long illness.  He was born at Jonesport, March 22, 1931, the son of Theodore R. and Nina M. (ALLEY) BEAL.  He retired from the U.S.C.G. as a master chief.  After retiring he taught at the Marine Trade Center in Eastport for five years, worked on the water and as a carpenter.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Virginia;  his daughter and son-in-law, Lenore and Earl FAULKINGHAM of Beals;  grandchildren, Bobbie Joe and Troy ALLEY, Jason Frederick and his friend, Veronica Guerra, Cassie Leigh;  the latest of his life great-granddaughter, Kali Elizabeth and "special pal" Olaf.  A celebration of his life was held Sunday, October 5, 1997, at the Beals Wesleyan Church.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to D.E.C.H. 51, Truro and Five Islands, died December 5, 1997, in Glenview Lodge, Truro.  Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of Vera (PHINNEY) YORKE, Bible Hill, and the late Carmen YORKE.  She was the kitchen supervisor at the Stonehouse Restaurant for 11 years and, at the time of her illness, she was a councillor at Canadian Mental Health Association Small Options #2.  She brought the first Basic Shelf Cooking Program to the Truro area.  Surviving are her grandmother, Evelyn PHINNEY, Lower Five Islands;  daughters, Vera-Lynn BEAL, Vangie Dawn BEAL, Vancouver, B.C.;  three grandsons;  sisters, Coleen RICKETTS, Cobourg, Ont.;  Evangeline LAFFIN, Brentwood, Colchester Co.;  brothers, Roger C., James L., Truro;  Alexander (Sandy), North River, Colchester Co.;  several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by sister, Rebecca;  brother, Glenford.

BEAL died Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997.
He was born July 11, 1913, in Magdalena, N.M.  He served in the Aleutian Islands during World War II.
Survivors include two sons, Joe of San Angelo and Tommy of Flower Mound; two sisters, Bobbie ROGERS of Richardson and Irene LAYMAN of Los Angeles, Calif.; a brother, Charles WILLIAMS of Tokio; six grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and two great-stepgrandchildren.

age 77, of Knoxville, died 6:30 a.m. Thursday, December 11, 1997, at St. Mary's Medical Center.   Member of Meridian Baptist Church and attended Mascot Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by granddaughters, Taylor Anne BROWN and Tina BEAL MAXWELL.  Survivors:  husband, Otis BEAL, Sr., Knoxville;  daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and A.L. BURTON, Mascot;  son and daughter-in-law, Otis Jr. and Janice BEAL, Knoxville;  grandchildren, Jan LAYCOCK, Jeff BURTON, Julie BROWN, Lori GIDEON, and Chuck BEAL;  ten great-grandchildren;   brother, Bob HICKEY, Knoxville.
Funeral service 8 p.m. Friday at Stevens Chapel, Rev. Eric Rieger and Rev. Lewis Thomas officiating.  Family and friends will meet at 10:15 a.m. Saturday at Stevens Mortuary to go in procession to Greenwood Cemetery for an 11 a.m. graveside service and interment.  Pallbearers;  grandsons and grandsons-in-law.  The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at Broadway.

Funeral services were held Oct. 15, 1997 for Roy Earnest BEALE of North York, Ont., who died Oct. 11 at age 76 in Penetanguishene.  Born in July 10, 1921 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Mr. BEALE was a veteran of World War II where he served with the Canadian Navy on a corvette.  He was married to Jeanette ROBILLARD in Penetanguishene Aug. 18, 1948, and the couple lived across Canada, including eight years in Regina, Saskatchewan, 10 years in Vancouver, B.C., and 31 years in Toronto.  Mr. BEALE was director operations for Wood Gundy, retiring 17 years ago.
He is survived by his wife Jeannette;  sons Barry of Toronto and Brent of St. Catharines;  daughter Karen of Markham;  sister Sigrid of Vancouver;  and grandchildren Jonathan, Nicholas and Adam.
Services were held at St. Ann's Church, Penetanguishene, with Monsignor Leonard O'Malley officiating.  Burial at St. Ann's Cemetery.  Parish prayers were held at the Penetanguishene Funeral Home, and a memorial service was held at Jerrett's Funeral Home in Toronto.  Pallbearers were nephews Allan ROBILLARD, Grant LOTTON and Jamie ROBILLARD, all of Penetanguishene, Bob ROBILLARD of Midland, and Steven SYDOR of Guelph, and friend Ernie BROWN of Toronto.

82, of Rt. 8, died Sat. Dec. 13, 1997 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for one day.
He was born Dec. 12, 1915 in Dayton, the son of the late Samuel E. And Peggy L. PATTERSON BEALL.  Mr. Beall served in the US Navy during WWII on the USS Essex aircraft carrier.
He was a baker for more than 38 years having worked at Friddles Bakery and later at Carl's Pastry Shop where he retired in July of 1980.
He attended the Fairview Church of the Brethren and was a lifetime resident of this area.  On Dec. 24, 1938 he married Helen BURKETT, who survives.  He is also survived by two sons, Charles Edward "Eddie" BEALL, Jr. Of Edom and Terry Allen BEALL of Tucson, AZ;  one daughter, Debra June GROOMS of Lyndhurst;  six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wed. from the Kyger & Trobaugh Funeral Home in Harrisonburg by the Rev. Wilmer R. Hurst and Lewis C. Armentrout.  Burial will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens near Harrisonburg.   His body is at Kyger & Trobaugh Funeral Home where friends may call, or friends may also call any time at the Beall home.  Memorial donations may be made to the CCU of Rockingham Memorial Hospital, 235 Cantrell Ave, Harrisonburg, VA 22801.
