Gerald Michael Desmond
Gerald Michael Desmond, 71, of Rochester Hills died Oct. 22.
He was a local resident since 1983.
Mr. Desmond was a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army and was employed by GM-Chevrolet Division until 1999 as the director of dealer organization and network planning. 
He is survived by his daughters, Maureen Desmond of Rochester Hills, Anne Fogler of Rochester, Colette Fearnley and Christine Desmond; sons, Matthew of Rochester Hills, Gerald Jr. and John; a brother, two sisters and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Oct. 25 at St. Irenaeus Catholic Church. 
Burial was at Van Hoosen Jones-Stoney Creek Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to Beaumont Hospice, 1200 Stephenson, Troy, 48083.

Mary Magdalene Hall
Mary Magdalene Hall, 84, of Tybee Island, Ga., formerly of Rochester, died Oct. 19, 2002.
She is survived by her sons, David of White Lake and Douglas; daughter, Priscilla Joyce Schram of Rochester Hills; step-son, Duane Hall; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Oct. 24 at Pixley Funeral Home.
Burial was at Christian Memorial Cemetery.

Minnie Inez Preston, 83, of Rochester Hills, formerly of St. Clair Shores and Harper Woods, died Oct. 21, 2002.
She is survived by her sons, Jim of Rochester Hills and Jack; a brother, a sister, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Phoebe Rose Vigor, 79, of Rochester Hills, died Oct. 22, 2002.
She is survived by her husband, Charles; daughter, Katherine Wyckoff of Waterford Township; and son, Richard.

Norman (Bill) Adams, 81, of Rochester Hills, died Oct. 21, 2002.

Noreen Eleanor Lange, 73, of Rochester, died Oct. 27, 2002.
She is survived by her husband, Walter A.; sons, Dennis and Wayne, both of Troy; daughters, Carmen Baker and Marcy Delaney; and four grandchildren.

Charles Larson, 74, of Lapeer, formerly of Rochester Hills, died Oct. 17, 2002.
He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Marlow; son, Robert Larson; two brothers, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and special friend, Marie Meltzer.

Wanda Lillian Seneski, 85, of Auburn Hills, died Oct. 14, 2002.

Gladys Loretta Weymouth, 85, of Rochester, died Oct. 26, 2002.
She was a Rochester resident for more than 50 years.
Mrs. Weymouth is survived by her daughters, Betty Weymouth-Conger of Clarkston and Pat Johnson of Rochester Hills; a sister, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m., Friday, Nov. 1 at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University, Rochester.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 2 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 620 Romeo, Rochester.
Burial will be at Mount Avon Cemetery.

Alice Jackson
Alice Jackson, 81, of Rochester, died Oct. 27, 2002.
She was a resident of Pontiac for 57 years and was employed by GM Truck & Coach for 32 years.
Mrs. Jakson was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Pontiac for 60 years and sang in the choir for 25 years.
She is survived by her brother, David Jackson; sister, Grace Moore; several nieces and nephews; and 12 great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 8, at Potere-Modetz Funeral Home, 339 Walnut, Rochester.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 9, at the funeral home.
Interment will be at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.

Marie Calysta Koss, 68, of Rochester Hills, died Oct. 26, 2002.
She was active at the Rochester Community House, Friends of the Library, Avon Players, Meadowbrook Hall and St. Andrew Catholic Church.
Mrs. Koss is survived by her husband, David; daughters, Lynda Koss and Karen Curnow; and two grandchildren.

Henry Kreilach
Henry Kreilach, 86, of Rochester, died Nov. 4, 2002. 
He owned the Bloomfield Hills Barbecue and was retired from GM.
Mr. Kreilach was also a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps. 
He is survived by his wife, Rose; daughters, Sherry Flor and Ann Lang; a sister, two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Nov. 6 at Potere-Modetz Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., today, Thursday, Nov. 7, at the Indianfields Cemetery, Caro.

Treat William Marsh
Treat William Marsh, 89, of Clarkston, formerly of Washington Township, died Nov. 3, 2002.
He worked for Pontiac Motors for 40 years and was a life member of the Masons.
Mr. Marsh is survived by his daughter, Marlene Ebling of Rochester Hills; son, Lawrence Marsh; a brother, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and friend, Winifred Russell. 
A private burial was held.

Frances June Naffziger
Frances June Naffziger, 65, of Rochester Hills, died Nov. 3, 2002.
She was an interior decorator.
Mrs. Naffziger is survived by her husband, Loren; sons, Paul Joseph Newman, Ernest J. Vick, Rory A. Vick, Glenn Allan Vick and Leon J. Vick; three brothers, a sister and six grandchildren.

He was born in Detroit and was an General Motors engineer for 47 years.

Muriel Eliza Kathleen Beldean
Muriel Eliza Kathleen Beldean, 95, of Clarkston, formerly of Rochester, died Nov. 10.
She was a teacher for the Rochester School District.
Mrs. Beldean was a member of the Eastern Star since 1932 and past present of the Rochester Elks Kleettes. She was also a long time member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, John.

Ralph D. Hedgcock, 58, of Oak Park, formerly of Rochester Hills, died Nov. 12, 2002.
He is survived by his daughters, Patsy and Carrie Hedgcock; son, Ralph W. Hedgcock; mother, Mary Hedgcock; and a brother.

John Stinson Howell
John Stinson Howell, 82, of Abilene, Tex., formerly of Rochester, died Nov. 16, 2002, in Fort Worth, Tex.
Mr. Howell was founder and chairman of the board of Howell Instruments, Inc. and was a member of the Society of Professional Engineers, Air Force Association, Society of Automotive Engineers, Instrument Society of America, Shady Oaks Country Club, River Crest Country Club and The Petroleum Club.
He received the Distinguished Flying Cross as U.S. Army Air Corps bomber pilot during World War II. 
Prior to the war, he was a National Honor Society graduate of Rochester High School. After the war, the invented the JETCAL Analyzer. He was considered the nation's most experienced individual in designing equipment for testing and calibrating jet engines.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Bradbury Howell; sons, John S. Howell IV and William R. Howell; daughters, Marian Howell and Susan Irvin; a brother, 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Phyllis L. Keene
Phyllis L. Keene, 68, of Rochester Hills, died Nov. 11, 2002.
She is surived by her sons, Lester, Henry and Dennis Keene; daughter, Karen Parrett; three sisters, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. 
Funeral services were held Nov. 14 at Meadowbrook Christian Church.

Edith Marie Toussaint
Edith Marie Toussaint, 91, of Rochester Hills, died Nov. 12, 2001.
She worked at Alvin's in Rochester and was a retired Eastern Star Matron.
