Angiolina (Angie) Bongiorno
Angiolina (Angie) Bongiorno, 60, of Rochester Hills, died Aug. 1, 2002.
She is survived by her husband, Vincent; daughter, Connie M. Bongiorno; mother, Concetta Piccinato; and two grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 5 at St. Irenaeus Catholic Church.
Memorial contributions can be made to the U-M Comprehensive Cancer Center, 1500 E. Medical Center Drive, Ann Arbor.

Stephen Charles Borton
Stephen Charles Borton, 35, of Rochester Hills, died Aug. 4, 2002. 
Mr. Borton was a 1997 graduate of Rochester College and was employed by Kroger.
He is survived by his wife, Christine; son, Jacob Stephen; daughter, Claire Emily; parents, Ron and Barbara Borton; grandparents Edna and Lavern Borton; a sister, brother, brother-in-law and sister-in-law. 
Funeral services will be held noon, today, Thursday, Aug. 8, at Meadowbrook Christian Church, 2741 Walton, Rochester Hills.
Interment will be at Mount Avon Cemetery.
Memorial tributes can be made to Christine for an education fund for their children.

Earl Russell Boylan
Earl Russell Boylan, 74, of Leonard, formerly of Rochester, died July 30, 2002.
He is survived by his sons, Brad, Kent and Greg; three grandchildren, a sister and a brother.
Funeral services were held Aug. 2 at Potere-Modetz Funeral Home.
Interment was at Lakeville Cemetery.

Debora (Debby) Lynn Edelstein
Debora (Debby) Lynn Edelstein, of Rochester Hills, died Aug. 3, 2002. 
She was employed by the Crittenton Hospital Microbiology Lab, an active Research for Recovery volunteer for the American Cancer Society and a member of Crown of Life Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, Peter; daughter, Jennifer Crouch; sons, George Crouch and Daniel Edelstein; and parents, Joseph and Loraine Daley.
Memorial tributes can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Savina Foster
Savina Foster, 96, of Lake Orion, formerly of Rochester, died Aug. 1, 2002.
She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Ann Lawrence and Carolyn Winnie; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Aug. 5 at Potere-Modetz Funeral Home.

George Fowler
George Fowler, 59, of Rochester and Peck, died Aug. 5, 2002.
Mr. Fowler was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; sons, Jeremy, Christopher and Nicholas; daughter, Dora; and eight grandchildren.

Vincent Joseph McDonald
Vincent Joseph McDonald, 6, of New Haven, died July 31, 2002.
He is survived by his parents, Greg McDonald and Evelyn Spear; brother, Gregory; grandparents, Diane McDonald, Allan and Sherry McDonald, Karen Spear and Les and Ellen Spear of Rochester Hills.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 5 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Rochester Hills. 
Interment was at Clinton Grove Cemetery.

Frank Robert Ralston
Frank Robert Ralston, 88, of Southfield, formerly of Rochester Hills, died Aug. 2, 2002.
He was a retired highway engineer.
Mr. Ralston is survived by his daughters, Judy Hill and Pamela Seely; sons, Laird and Robert; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Aug. 5 at Pixley Funeral Home, Rochester.
Burial was at Christian Memorial Cemetery, Rochester Hills.

James Anderson Short
James Anderson Short, 28, of Grand Blanc died Aug. 5, 2002. 
He is survived by his wife, Linda; step-sons, Justin, Jeremy and Josh; parents, Donald and Kathleen Short; step-mother, Barbara Short; grandparents, Blanche Corrigan and Hazel and Anderson Short, a sister and a step-brother.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., today, Thursday, Aug. 8, at Potere-Modetz Funeral Home, 339 Walnut, Rochester.
Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.

Thomas Arthur Steffen
Thomas Arthur Steffen, 32, of Detroit, formerly of Rochester Hills, died July 29, 2002.
He is survived by his parents, William and Karen Steffen; and two sisters.
Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 2, 2002, at Potere-Modetz Funeral Home, Rochester.
Burial was at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio.

Joseph W. Trachy
Joseph W. Trachy, 92, of Troy, formerly of Interlochen and Lakeland, Fla., died Aug. 2, 2002.
He was in tool and die business for the Packard and Ford automobile companies until his retirement.
Mr. Trachy is survived by his daughter, Harriett MacDonald of Rochester Hills; sons, J.W. Trachy Jr. and Douglas G. Trachy; and six grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday, Aug. 6 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Rochester.
Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Henry Ford Hospice.

MARY PEGG SCUTT
Mary Pegg Scutt, 83, of Rochester Hills, died Aug. 7, 2002. 
She was a member of the Congregational Church of Birmingham, the P.E.O. Rochester Chapter and the Meadowbrook Hall Guild.
Mrs. Scutt is survived by her husband, Walter; daughters, Marilyn Watson and Kaye Verba; brother, Dick Margeson; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12, at the Congregational Church of Birmingham, 1000 Cranbrook Road, Bloomfield Hills.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southeast Michigan or Lake Forest College, Lake Forest, Ill.

Mary Ann Beatty
Mary Ann Beatty, 85, of Wheat Ridge, Colo., formerly of Rochester died July 17, 2002.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Rochester, the Meadowbrook Womens Club, Crittenton Hospital Auxiliary and the Rochester Schools Board of Education from 1957-67.
Mrs. Beatty is survived by her sons, Thomas and James.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., today, Thursday, Aug. 15, at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery, Troy.
Memorial tributes can be made to the First Congregational Church of Rochester.

Edward Kenneth Bogden
Edward (Ed) Kenneth Bogden, 52, of Rochester Hills, died Aug. 7, 2002.
He was a retired attorney and was an educator for underprivileged children. 
Mr. Bogden is survived by his wife, Patrice; son, Matthew; mother, Helen Bogden; a sister, brother and mother-in-law.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 10.
Burial was at Mount Avon Cemetery, Rochester Hills.

Witold Malinowski
Witold Malinowski, 77, of Rochester, died Aug. 4, 2002.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Murray-Malinowski; daughters, Lisa Pekuri and Elaine Fredendall; son, Michael Malinowski; and four grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Friday, Aug. 9, at Lutheran Church of the Master, Troy. Memorial tributes can be made to the Hospice of South East Michigan.

Oral Bertrum McKinney
Oral Bertrum (Bert) McKinney, 88, of Rochester Hills, died Aug. 6, 2002.
He was a Rochester resident since 1934 and retired from Pontiac Motors in 1974.
Mr. McKinney was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Rochester BPOE No. 2225, and a past Commander of DAV Pontiac Post No. 101.
Memorial tributes can be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

Barbara Jean Meister
Barbara Jean Miler-Meister, 78, of Toccoa, Ga., formerly of Rochester Hills, died Aug. 2, 2002.
She retired in 1996 from ESBA Engineering and was a 1940 graduate of Rochester High School.
Mrs. Meister is survived by her husband, Clarence P.; sons, Danny Miller of Plymouth, Terry Miller of Lake Orion and Jeffrey Miller of Rochester; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 9.

George James Milne
George James Milne, 74, of Rochester Hills, died Aug. 6, 2002.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia; sons, Douglas and James; daughters, Christine Stewart and Nancy Kay Milne; two grandchildren and a sister.
At the family's request there were no formal funeral services.

Sergio Guerra, 69, of Rochester Hills died Aug. 18, 2002.
Mr. Guerra owned the Sergio Guerra Construction Co.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; sons, Michael and Paul; daughter, Kerry Lynn; seven grandchildren, a brother and a sister.
Funeral services were held Aug. 21, at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.

Karen Marie Hinds, 41, of Auburn Hills, formerly of Rochester, died Aug. 16, 2002.
She was a 1980 graduate of Rochester High School.
Mrs. Hinds is survived by her husband, Angus S. Hinds III; daughter, Sara Koster; parents, Richard and Dolores Koster of Clinton Township, formerly of Rochester Hills; parents-in-law, Angus and Sharon Hinds of Lake Orion; a sister and brother. 
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2002, at St. Irenaeus Catholic Church.
Burial was at Mount Avon Cemetery.

Genevieve A. Lang, 89, of Rochester Hills, died Aug. 16, 2002.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Stopczynski; son, Lawrence E. Lang; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Wilma Catherine Meahan
Wilma (Billie) Catherine Meahan, 76, of Lake Orion, formerly of Rochester, died Aug. 12, 2002. 
Ms. Meahan is survived by sisters, Connie Thackaberry and Vera Kenny; son, Donald Meahan and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held Aug. 19 at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Chapel, Southfield.

Carol Jean (Flockhart) Myers
Carol Jean (Flockhart) Myers, 49, of Rochester Hills, formerly of Madison Heights, died Aug. 19, 2002, at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. She was born April 16, 1953, in Detroit.
Mrs. Myers was a member of the Hazel Park Eagles and a graduate of Madison Heights High School. She loved swimming, bingo, bowling, picnics, family gatherings and writing.
Mrs. Myers is survived by her husband, Billy J. Myers; her mother, Jessica E. Flockhart of Rochester Hills; brother, David J. Flockhart of Rochester Hills; and sisters, J. Peggy Wilson of Rochester Hills, Janet Muncey of Kentucky and Shirley Goodman of Warren.
Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m., today, Thursday, Aug. 22, at Price Funeral Home, 3725 S. Rochester Road, Troy.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 23, at the funeral home.

Carolyn L. Shannon
Carolyn L. Shannon, 73, of Rochester Hills, died Aug. 14, 2002.
She was a registered Occupational Therapist and a member of the Womens National Farm and Garden Club.
Mrs. Shannon is survived by her husband, James; sons, James R., Dr. Mark L., and Hugh D.; nine grandchildren and a sister.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, Aug. 20, at University Presbyterian Church.
