MICHAEL RAYMOND LYNN
Michael Raymond Lynn, 51, of Auburn Hills, died June 24, 2002.
Mr. Lynn was proprietor of Michael's of Troy for 27 years. He was a former member of the Kiwanis Club of Troy and was active in the Boys-Girls Club of Troy and Toys for Tots.
He is survived by his fiancée, Lisa Petersen; daughter, Stacey Lynn; son, Robert Lynn; mother, Betty Hildebrandt of Auburn Hills; and brother, Robert Lynn of Auburn Hills.
Funeral services were held June 27 at A. J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home Troy.

SUE TEMPLE
Sue Temple, 67, of Crystal River, Fla., formerly of Rochester, died June 6, 2002.
Mrs. Temple was a homemaker and a member of the Eastern Star Chapter, 319, Homosassa, Fla., the West Citrus Ladies of the Elks No. 2693 Homosassa and the Seven Rivers Community Hospital Auxiliary.
She is survived by husband, Bayard Temple Jr.; daughters, Patricia Cappo Munster and Christine Cosner; son, Bayard Temple III seven grandchildren and a brother.
Graveside services were held Friday, June 28, at Northview Cemetery, Dearborn.
Memorials contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.

LYNN RODNEY ZELLMER
Lynn Rodney Zellmer, 74, of Rochester, died June 26, 2002.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughters, Gretchen Ingvason, Karen Muys, Chris Mitchell and Marilyn Prokurat; three grandchildren and a sister.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 29, at Pixley Funeral Home, Rochester.
Burial was at Van Hoosen Jones-Stoney Creek Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association. 

JOYCE PAULINE MATTHEWS (QUANDT)
Joyce Pauline Matthews (Quandt), 71, of Rochester Hills, died June 27, 2002.
Mrs. Matthews is survived by her husband, Robert W.; sons, Robert M., Ronald and Douglas; daughter, Susan K. Riesterer of Troy; 14 grandchildren, a great-grandson and three sisters. 
Funeral services were held July 1, at Price Funeral Home Troy.
Interment was at Christian Memorial Cemetery, Rochester Hills.

ELLEN THERESE RINKE
Ellen Therese Rinke, 68, of Rochester Hills, died June 25, 2002.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Rinke; sons, Clifford and Mark; three grandchildren, four sisters and two brothers.

MARIE DELINA (DROUILLARD) SKILES
Marie Delina (Drouillard) Skiles of Auburn Hills died June 28, 2002.
She was involved with the Shriners Hospital for many years.
Mrs. Skiles is survived by her husband, William; daughters, Joanne Grochowski and Catherine Neubert; sons, William, Donald and John Skiles; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a sister. 
A Funeral Mass was celebrated July 1, at St. John Fisher Chapel University Parish.

SANFORD E. SPARROW
Sanford E. Sparrow, 83, of Rochester Hills, died June 26, 2002.
He is survived by his wife, Leah; daughter, Rita Lee Tolvanen; son, Thomas Lee Sparrow; two grandchildren and a brother.
Funeral services were held June 29, at Potere-Modetz Funeral Home.
Interment was at Fort Custer National Cemetery.

DOUGLASS D. TOBEY
Douglass D. Tobey, 75, of Shelby Township, formerly of Rochester, died June 28, 2002.
He retired from GM Tech Center in 1988 after 25 years of service.
Mr. Tobey was a member of Christ Church Cranbrook, BPOE No. 2225 and the GM Men's Club. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife, June; daughter, Pamela Grabowski of Bloomfield Hills; two grandchildren, three brothers, including William Tobey of Rochester Hills; and a sister.
Funeral services were held July 3.
Burial was at Christian Memorial Cemetery.

RUDOLF G. WALTERS
Rudolf G. Walters, 85, of Rochester Hills, died June 26, 2002.
He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Everts; son, David Walters; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Interment was at White Chapel Cemetery.

ANN THERESA ARCHIBALD
Ann Theresa Archibald, 79, of Rochester Hills died July 2, 2002.
She is survived by her daughters, Marcelene, Sandra, Jacqueline and Christine Brackx; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were held Friday, July 5, at Pixley Funeral Home.
Burial was at Van Hoosen Jones-Stoney Creek Cemetery.

BERNIECE MARJORIE HECK
Berniece Marjorie Heck, 97, of Rochester Hills, formerly of Lake Orion, died July 5, 2002.
Mrs. Heck for many years operated a beauty salon in Highland Park.
She is survived by her niece Charlotte Bengry of Rochester Hills and many nieces and nephews.
Services were held July 9 at Pixley Funeral Home-Davis Chapel in Auburn Hills with entombment in the Boca Raton Mausoleum, Boca Raton, Fla.

VIRGINIA (GINNY) HICKS
Virginia J. (Ginny) Hicks, 78, of Rochester Hills, died July 5.
She is survived by her son, Michael, of Rochester Hills; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a sister.
Services were held July 8 at Meadowbrook Christian Church.
Burial was at White Chapel Cemetery.

JOHN HINSBERG JR.
John J. Hinsberg Jr., 44, of Rochester, died July 4, 2002.
He is survived by his wife, Brandy; daughter, Marissa Leigh; parents, John and Nancy Hinsberg Sr.; parents-in-law Ernest and Sherry Upcott; three sisters, two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law.

DOUGLAS C. (DOUG) O'ROURKE
Douglas C. (Doug) O'Rourke, 74, of Rochester Hills, died July 6.
He is survived by his daughter, Sheila Hawkins; sons, Michael, Jerry, Daniel, Kevin and Shaw; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held July 10.

EVE MARIE SCHUSTER-ASHER 
Eve Marie Schuster-Asher, 41, of Rochester, died June 30, 2002.
She is survived by her children, William, Jennifer, Jessica and Stephanie; three brothers and two sisters.

Wanda Joy Barnhart
Wanda Joy Barnhart, 72, of Rochester Hills, died July 27, 2002.
She was a lifelong resident of Rochester and a 1946 graduate of Rochester High School.
Mrs. Barnhart is survived by her daughter, Jan Renee Barnhart of Rochester Hills; two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law.
Funeral services were held July 30.
Burial was at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.

Grace Adele Eastman
Grace Adele Eastman, 80, of Rochester Hills, died July 24, 2002. 
She was a resident of Rochester for nearly 60 years.
Mrs. Eastman spent many years assisting her husband, Dr. Jeness "Gus" Eastman in his veterinary practice on South Hill in Rochester. She was also a volunteer for the Leader Dogs for the Blind program.
She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and the Rochester Junior Women's Club. Mrs. Eastman was also a former member of the PTA.
She is survived by her husband, sons, Dr. Jay Eastman of Rochester Hills and James Eastman of Clarkston; daughters, Susan Cole and Sarah Reynolds; 10 grandchildren, a sister and a brother.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 27, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church. 
Burial was at Mount Avon Cemetery, Rochester.
Memorials to Leader Dogs for the Blind or St. Paul's United Methodist Church is appreciated.

Esther Marie Jusis
Esther Marie Jusis, 72, of Rochester Hills, died July 23, 2002.
She is survived by her daughter, Francine Barba; three grandchildren and a sister.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 26, at St. Andrew Catholic Church.
Interment was at St. Hedwig Cemetery.

Charlotte C. LaDuke
Charlotte C. LaDuke (Char), 76, of Rochester Hills, died July 28, 2002.
She was a graduate of Denby High School, Detroit, and moved to Rochester in 1969.
Mrs. LaDuke is survived by her daughter, Susan Moore; sons, Jeffrey LaDuke of Rochester and Jason LaDuke; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held July 31.

James Keith Lauinger
James Keith Lauinger, 63, of Fenton, formerly of Rochester, died July 25, 2002.
He retired after 38 years with Parke-Davis. 
He is survived by his wife, Elaine; daughters, Lori Roy, and Kristin Kassin; sons, James Jr., and David Lauinger; his mother, Marie Lauinger; seven grandchildren, four brothers and five sisters.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated July 30, at St. Andrew Catholic Church.

Helen Niebroski
Helen Niebroski, 76, of Rochester Hills, died July 27, 2002.
Mrs. Niebroski was an avid figure skater in her earlier years.
She is survived by her husband, Walter; son, Wayne; daughter, Laura Hoxie; three grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters. 
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday, July 30, at St. Andrew Catholic Church.

John Petresh
John Petresh, 86, of Rochester Hills, died July 24, 2002.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda; daughter, Bonnie Schott; son, Randall and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 27, at St. Michael Catholic Church.
Burial was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

George P. VandenBerghe
George P. VandenBerghe, 80, of Leonard, died July 28, 2002.
He was a staff sergeant with the 371st Engineer Construction Battalio in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. VandenBerghe retired from Ford Motor Co. in Dearborn after 42 years of service. Following his retirement from Ford, he worked with his son for 20 years on his farm. 
Mr. VandenBerghe is survived by his wife, Lorraine; daughter, Pearl Watson; son, David; four grandchildren and a sister.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 2, at Pixley Funeral Home, Rochester.
Burial will be at Lakeville Cemetery.

Terrie Lee Veenstra
Terrie Lee Veenstra, 45, of Rochester Hills, died July 23, 2002.
She was a secretary for the Rochester Schools in the School Age Care Program.
Mrs. Veenstra was also a member of the Rochester No. 2634 Eagles Lades Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur; daughters, Sara, Lindsay, and Kristi; sons, Ryan Falconer, Michael Thomas and Richard; parents, Alvin and Shirley Friedenstab; two grandchildren, two sisters and two brothers. 
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 27, at Potere-Modetz Funeral Home.
Interment was at Christian Memorial Cemetery.

Richard Ronald Weimer
Richard Ronald Weimer, 56, of Washington Township, formerly of Rochester, died July 28, 2002.
He was owner of the Richard R. Weimer Plumbing and Heating Co., in Washington Township.
Mr. Weimer is survived by his wife, Judith; son, Ian; two grandchildren, a brother and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 1, at Community Wesleyan Church, 1171 26 Mile Road, Washington Township.

Alfons Weishaar
Alfons Weishaar, 97, of Lake Orion, formerly of Pontiac, died July 18, 2002.
Mr. Weishaar retired from Fisher Body after 42 years as a machinist in the Die Room. He was a member of GBU, DASV and UAW Local 596.
Mr. Weishaar was also a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Pontiac. 
He is survived by his wife, Hildegard; son, John of Rochester Hills; daughters Karin Ingraham of Oakland Township and Carol Boyd.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, July 20, 2002, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Pontiac. 
Interment was at Mount Hope Catholic Cemetery.
