Michael Anthony Rynberg, 35, of Petoskey and formerly of Hesperia, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, July 5, 2002.
A memorial services was held on Saturday, July 13 at 2 p.m. at the Hesperia Baptist Church with Pastor Casey Smith of Parr Memorial Baptist Church of Petoskey officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Glen R. Valentine, 44, of Newaygo, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2002 in Tyrone Township, Kent County, as the result of an automobile accident.

Ethel Schotts, 77, of East Jordan, died on Tuesday, July 16, 2002 at her home near East Jordan.

Nellie (Luyk) Getz, longtime resident of Newaygo, passed away on Monday, July 15, while convalescing in Barrington, Illinois, following an apparent stroke. She was 87.
Services were held at The Salvation Army Corps in Crystal Lake, Illinois on Friday, July 19. She rests in The Salvation Army section of Glen Oak Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois. Memorial gifts may be made to the Connie Sharon Getz Memorial Fund at The Salvation Army Fulton Heights Corps, P.O. Box 1873, Grand Rapids, 49501-1873. (Connie Sharon was their daughter who died at age two).

Philip B. Woolley, 84, of Chelsea, and formerly of Fremont, died on Thursday, Nov. 7 at the Chelsea Retirement Community, surrounded by members of his family.
A time of visitation was held on Sunday, Nov. 10, at the Kroeze Funeral Home in Fremont. A service to celebrate his life was held on Monday morning, Nov. 11, at the Fremont United Methodist Church. Gifts of remembrance have been designated to go to the Fremont United Methodist Church Endowment Fund at the Fremont Area Community Foundation to benefit the Memorial Garden. Henry (Hank) F. Hall, 85, of Hesperia, passed away on Saturday morning, Nov. 9, 2002 at Transitional Health Services in Fremont.

James M. Story, 69, of Newaygo, died on Monday morning, Nov. 4, 2002 at Metron of Greenville.
In honoring Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 9 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Newaygo, with his great-nephew, the Rev. Father Troy Nevins officiating, with a luncheon following. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the charity of one's choice. The Brown-Teman and Christiansen Funeral Home, Greenville, is serving the family and is entrusted with the arrangements.
