Cyril J. Fortier, 67, of Iron Mountain, died on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Martha; two sons, Brian of Iron Mountain, and Joe of L'Anse, a daughter, Cathy Kopp of Menominee and eight grandchildren. Burial in the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery.

Donald W. McFarland, 67, of Wakefield, died on September 29. Don is survived by his wife Joan, three daughters, Diane Berg of Bremerton, WA, Susan Youngberg of West Bend, WI, and Sandra Harden of Mass City. Also surviving are two stepsons, David Grupstra of Wausau, WI, Thomas Grupstra of Medford, WI, and a step daughter, Linda LaGrew of Washburn, WI.

Margaret A. (Pobanz) DeVowe, 94, of Bergland, passed away on September 10. 1998. Burial in the Lakeside Cemetery. Margaret is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Angeline DeRosier, 67, of White Pine passed away on October 1, 1998. Survivors include her husband Bob , a stepson, Chuck of New York and three stepdaughters, Linda Durbin of Minoqua, Beverly DeRosier and Brenda Richardson of New York.

Uno B. Kemppainen, 79, of Pelkie, died on October 2, 1998. In 1964 he married Irene Anderson. She died in 1977. He is survived by a daughter, Lorelie Hoeft of Detroit and four grandchildren. Services were held on Monday, Oct. 5. Burial in the Pelkie Cemetery.

Helen L.(Lamphear) Belkola, 84, of South Range, died on October 1, 1998, at the Mather Nursing Home in Ishpeming. She is survived by her husban Jake, one son, Robert of Racine, WI, and one daughter, RoseMarie Taavola of Atlantic Mine.

Anna Oline (Johnson) Brown, 83, of Laurium passed away on October 2, 1998 at her home. She is survived by two sons, Emery Jr. of Sterling Heights, and Gary of Lauruim and a daughter, Beth Revello of Altoona, WI. Burial in the Lake View Cemetery in Calumet.

Siiri C. Kaarinen, 82, od Hancock passed away on October 4, 1998. Siiri is survived by one nephew and several nieces. Services on Oct. 7, 1998 at 11 AM at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Hancock. She will be buried in the Atlantic Mine Cemetery.

Julia E (Saarinen) Eskel, 82, of Covington, died on October 2, 1998. Surviving Julia is her husband, Verner, also a son, Allan of Covington; two daughters, Katherine Baur of Escanaba and Karen Sands of L'Anse. Mrs. Eskel was burried in the Covington Cemetery.

Ellen E.(Heinonen) Hyrkas, of Calumet passed away Oct. 4, 1998. Surviving are one son Paul and his wife JoAnne of Traprock; one brother, Edward of Laurium, one sister, Ruth Maki of Hancock. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Ahmeek.

Margaret A. DeVowe, 94, of Bergland, died on Sept 30, 1998. Burial will be in the Lake Side Cemetery. The Cane Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Uno B. Kemppainen, of Pelkie, died on Oct. 2, 1998. The Jacobson Funeral Home of L'Anse is in charge of the arrangements.

Helen (Jacob) Belkola, 84, of South Range died on Thursday, Oct. 1, 1998. Arrangements will be announced by the Mountain View Mortuary, South Range.

Florence (Knox) Baker, 92, of L'Anse passed away on Thursday, October 1, 1998, ath the Winkler Nursing Home. She is survived by two sons, Keigh Kraft of Florida and Kenneth Kraft of Chassell. A memorial service will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army in Hancock in her name.

Edna A.(Garnell) Lampinen, 74, of Hancock, died on Thursday, October 1, 1998. Surviving her are three sons, David of Manila, Philippines, Anthony of Houghton, Kim of Rauhala Road; five daughters, Sandra Armstrong of San Bruno, CA, JoAnne Ek of Houghton,
Gail Beers of Big Flats, NY, Amy Bourland of Calumet, and Anne Coponen of Atlantic Mine. Funeral Services Sunday, Oct. 4, 1998, 3 PM, in Hancock at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church.

Annabella E. (Jones) Buchanan, 98,of Lake Linden, died on Thursday, October 1, 1998. She is survived by one nephew. Private Funeral Services will be held Monday at the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden.

Margaret L. (Knuth) Spear, 86, of Hancock, died on October 1, 1998. She is survived by a son, Thomas of Manitowoc, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church in the name Margaret Spear.

Inex Engman, 86, of Dollar Bay, passed away on Sept. 30, 1998. She is survived by a brother, Runar of Hancock; three sisters, Rugh and Edith both of Dollar Bay, and Regina Leary of Ossining, NY.

Honorable Judge Joseph B. Kezele, 87, of Mohawk, died on Sept. 29, 1998. Mr. Kezele was a former Keweenaw County Judge of Probate.  He was recognized with numerous awards for his senior participation in walking of the Mackinaw Bridge Walk on Labor Day, the Sisu Shuffle, and the Calumet Public Hospital Walk.  He is survived by a son, Paul of Southfield and two daughters, Carole Collins of Norfolk, NB, and Marion Schmidlin of Royal Oak, MI.

Primo J. Adami, 75, of Marquette, also a long-time Hancock resident, died at the D.J. Jacobetti Veterans Facility in Marquette on Monday, Sept. 26, 1998.   He is survived by his wife, Jean.

Richard Youmans, 70, of Hancock, passed away Friday, Sept. 25, 1998.  Surviving are his wife, Nicola, four daughters, Judy of Seattle, WA, Denise Wallis of Grand Junction, CO, Rachel Shamion of Calumet, and Sarah of Hancock; two stepsons, William Woolman of Hancock, and Joseph Wollman of Santa Cruz, CA.

Jacob C. Mickalich, 80, of Donken, died September 28, 1998.  Jake owned and operated Mick's Bar in Donken for thirty years. Surviving are two sons, Jacob Jr. of Granite Bay, CA, and Mark of Dryden, MI, also one daughter, Diane Nakkula of Lac LaBelle, MI.

Eleanor S. (Oikarinen) Hiltunen,89, of Hancock, died on September 27, 1998. Surviving Eleanor is one sister, Ida Raade of Centennial Heights.

Denis J. Latvala, 34, of Calumet, passed away on September 28, 1998, following a courageous battle with cancer. Surviving are two sons, Michael and Jesse at home.

Coranna (Heikkila) Erkkila, 81, of Lake Linden, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 1998.   Mrs. Erkkila is survived by three sons, Stan Erickson of Racine, WI., and Neil Erkkila of Big Traverse; five daughters, Verna Degeneff of Owasso, MI, Marge Whetstine of Birmingham, MI, Lois LeBeau and Elizabeth Kojan of Racine WI, and Marilyn Sutton of Jacksonville, Fl.

Eleanor S. Hiltunen, 89, of Hancock, died on Sunday, Sept. 28, 1998. The Memorial Chapel Funeral home of Hancock is in charge of the arrangements.

Zelda M. (Laitinen) Peryam, 84, passed away on September 26, 1998.  Surviving are two sons, Darrell of Elkhart, IN, and Terry of Hancock; three daughters, Soldier Janice Olli of the Salvation Army, Dorothy Sutinen, and Zelda Peryam all of Hancock.  Service on Sept. 30, 1998, 1 PM, at the Jukuri-Antila Funeral Home in Hancock.

Harry M. Narloch, 89, of Fulton Location, died at his home of an apparent heart attack on September 24, 1998. Harry leaves behind a brother, Lucian of Milwaukee and a sister, Wanda Oblock of Sun City, AZ. Services at 11 AM on Thursday in the Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet.

Albin "Al" Rangus, 88, of Calumet passed away at his home on Friday, Sept 25, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; a son, James of Warren; a daughter, Josephine Creek of Bloomfield Hills; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Jerry L. Prowdley, Sr., 58, of Baraga passed away at his home after a long illness, on Sept. 28, 1998.

Thomas "Troy" Swanson, 37, of Arnheim, died on Thursday, Sept. 24, 1998, from injuries recieved in an industrial accident at the Dollar Bay Schools.  Thomas is survived by his wife Diane an sons Jacob and Taylor.

Ellen E. (Erickson) Putkela, 91, formerly of South Range, died on Friday, September 25, 1998. Ellen is survived by two sons, Harold Paavola of South Range and Robert Paavola of Baltic, and a daughter, Helen Snell of Redford. Burial in the Atlantic Mine Cemetery.

Ellen E.(Hatala) Kytta, 94, of Copper City passed away on Sept. 23, 1998. Surviving are one daughter, Bette Oja of Ahmeek and two sons, Jon of Menominee and Philip of Mohawk. The funeral were on Saturday morning in the Fulton Apostolic Lutheran Church.  Interment in the Lake View Cemetery.

Richard Wilson Kilmer, 61, of Ontonagon, passed away September 23, 1998. Richard is survived by his mother, Ida Glaser, four sister and two brothers.

Charles A. Rautio, 81, of Atlantic Mine, died on Sunday, Sept. 20, 1998. Charles is survived by a son, Charles Jr. of Toledo, OH, a stepson, Frank Stritzel of Flaglet Beach, FL, a stepdaughter, and Rose Daniels of Boyne City, MI.

Earl "Huck" Solmonson, 86, of Calumet passed away September 19, 1998. He was a veteran having served on the aircraft carrier USS White Plains in the South Pacific during WWII. He is survived by his wife Nellie, two daughters; Leona Bullock of Bridgeport, MI, Evelyn Maurer of Calumet; two sons, Earl of Adrian and Robert of Morenci.

David E. Felt, 56, of Liminga Road died at Portage Hospital in Hancock on Thursday, Sept. 17, 1998, after an apparent heart attack. He is survived by a son, Eric of Waukesha, WI and a daughter, Elizabeth of Delafield.

Peter A. Bausano, 82, a resident of Mohawk Street, Mohawk, died on Sunday, Sept. 20, 1998. He is survived by his wife Maude, a daughter, Jean Marie DiPietro of Appleton, WI, three sons, Don of Laurium, Tom of Milwaukee, and Bill of Oxford, OH.

Jennie E. (Latola) Immonen, 90, of Shafter Street, Hancock, passed away Friday, Sept. 18, 1998. She is survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Francis Lancour, 92, of Chassell passed away on Thursday, Sept 17, 1998. Surviving are his wife, Yvonne, a daughter, Melisse Scheffer of Amityville, NY, and one son, Douglas of Hancock.

Ester J. Lahti, 78, of Herman died on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 1998. Ester was a very community service oriented person . She kept track of and reported Herman's weather for over twenty years. Ester is survived by her husband Leonard and two sons, Raymond of Oak Ridge, TN and Dick of Iron Mountain.

Uno F. Herrala, 83, of Baraga and formerly of Elo died on Monday, Sept 21, 1998. Surviving are a son Harold of Baraga; two daughters, Geraldine Van Haeche of L'Anse and Carol Shannon of Baraga.

Ada (Letho) Rudolph, 80, of Ishpeming, formerly a resident of Baraga, died on Sunday, Sept. 20, 1998. Surviving her are two sons Peter Shelafoe of Marquette and Walfred Lehto of Texas; five daughters, Annette Kaczmarek of Madison Heights, Gloria Lucks of Algoma, WI, Frances minor of Simms, TX, Lila Tripanier of Houston, TX, and Linda Hunnicut of Bay St. Louis, MS.

Malond J. Titus, 81, of L'Anse died on Thrusday, Sept. 17, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; a son Gary of Bark River, and a daughter Donna Winder of Pine River, MN, four grandchildren and three cousins.

Judith E. Pennanen, 82, of Toivola, died on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 1998. Judy was employed as a postal clerk at the Toivola Post Office. Surviving are two sons, Francis Tebbe of Honolulu, Hawaii and Kenneth Tebbe of Bay City

Wilho J. Bill Helberg, 83, of Covington, died on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 1998. He is survived by a step-daughter, Betty Rengo of Seattle, Washington.

Linda E. Niemi, 91, of Mohawk died on Sept 15, 1998, at the Keweenaw Memorial Medical Center. Surviving are three sons; Wesley and Andrea of Olympia, Washington, Martin and Marcella of Winnemucca, Nevada, and Marvin of Ohaha, NE.

Martha H. Schreiber, 77, a resident of Mine Street, Calumet passed away Tuesday, Sept. 15, 1998. She is survived by a brother, Gerhardt of Calumet.

Dominic J. Durant, 68, of Zeba, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 13, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Ann; two sons, Dominic Jr. of Baraga and Clifford of Rochester, MN; two daughters, Martha Johnson of Milwaukee and Mary Kay of L'Anse; stepdaughters, Caroyln Jossens of Marquette and Mary Lou Jossens of L'Anse.

Marguerite L. Kingston Champney, 89, of Eagle Harbor, died on Friday, Sept. 11, 1998. Surviving are her son Albert Jr. of San Jose, Brazil and her daughter Carol J. Kuzmich of Heidleberg, Germany.

Leon J. Daniels, 63, of Bruce Crossing, died Sept 13, 1998 at the University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor where he was waiting for a heart transplant. Funeral services will be at 11 AM on Thursday, Sept. 17, 1998, at the First Lutheran Church.

Mary C. Geissler, 91, of Copper City, died at her home Monday, Sept. 14, 1998. Mary had five children, a son Frederick of Ironwood and four daughters; Mary Ann Roskelly of Redford, MI, Margaret Suter of Copper City, Irene Suter of Bushnell, IL, and Judy Kargela of Calumet.

Mary "Toots" Williams, 91, of L'Anse, passed away Friday, September 11, 1998. She is survived by three sons, Henry Johnson of Skanee, Donald Johnson of L'Anse, and Leonard Williams of Sandusky, OH; two daughters, Shirley Salvado and Marilyn Hajkuk both of Detroit.

Everette R. Dormanen, 80,of Dollar Bay, passed awy Friday, Sept. 11, 1998. Surviving are his wife, Inga; five daughters, Jeanne Lipka of Ashland, Judith Erickson of Dollar Bay, Linda Collins of Dollar Bay, Phyllis Serman of Canton, Deanna Bell of Yacolt, WA; one son, Dennis Dormanen of Westland.

Sylvia E.(Itaniemi) Johnson, 80, of Houghton, formerly of Dollar Bay, died on Thursday, Sept. 10, 1998. Surviving are two sons, Robert of Oxnard, CA and Richard of Atlantic Mine; two daughters, Carole Shaw of Conoga Park, CA and Mavis VanMarter of Burbank, CA.

Charles Arthur LeMoine, 79, of Ontonagon died on Monday, September 7, 1998. He served in the United States Army and was a local fireman for many years. He is survived by a daughter, Barbara Csmarich of Ontonagon, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be Sept. 11, 1998, 9-11 AM at the Cane Funeral Home. Services at 11 Am. Burial in the Riverside Cemetery.

Donald C. "Hono" Hovey, 63, of Painesdale, died on Sunday, September 6, 1998. He is survived by a son, Douglas of Garden City, two daughters, Terry Cuddy of Allen Park, and Cindy of Painesdale. Burial with military rites will be in the Mountain View Cemetery in South Range.

Charles W. Ruuska, 93, of Newtown Location, died on September 3, 1998. Surviving are one daughter, Carole Miller of Royal Oak and four grandchildren.

Elma (Dunstan) Burgbacher, 69,of Hancock passed away on Friday, Sept. 4, 1998. Surviving are her husband, William, and a son, William.

Miles Plutchak, 80, of Mass City, died Friday, Sept 4, 1998. Miles is survived by his wife, Evelyn and four children; Thomas, Janet Behrens, Jerry, and Peter, 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Audrey P. Tollefson, 87,of L'Anse, died on Friday, Sept. 4, 1998. Audrey is survived by a son, Herbert of L'Anse; five grandchildren and eight great children.

Mamie E. Waisanen, 82, of L'Anse died on Friday, Sept. 4, 1998. Surviving are two sons, Lauri of Toledo, Ohio and Leo of Aura; a daughter, Mamie Murphy of Lakeland, MI, and 12 grandchildren.

Donald Louis LaPorte, 70, of L'Anse, died on August 30, 1998. Don is survived by his sister Wilfrieda Greenway of Marquette; his brother William of Marquette and several nieces and nephews.

Edwin W. Bate, 77, a resident of Red Jacket Shaft Location, Calumet, passed away on August 31, 1998. Surviving are a son, David of Fond du Lac, WI; a daughter, Patricia Stark of West Allis, WI and four grandchildren.

Lt. Col. Lucia E. Turunen, 85, of Nisula, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 30, 1998. She was a graduate of Michael Reese Nursing School in Chicago, and then entered the military service as Second Lieutenant in the U. S. arm. During World War II, she was in the Army Nurse Corps in the Pacific Theater, and for twent-four years she traveled the world, retiring in 1967 as a Lieutent Colonel.

Elvah Pearl Campbell, 90, of Calumet, died on Saturday, August 29, 1998. She is survived by three sons, Andrew of Fort Worth, TX, Ray of Oak Brook, IL, and Paul of Calumet and a daughter, Jacque McKenna of Escondido, Ca.

Doris (Buckman) Savoy, 87, a former Hurontown resident died on Sunday, August 30, 1998. Surviving are two daughters, Evelyn McCully of Dalton, IL and Theresa Mulari of Trimountain; two sons, Stephen of Hancock and Thomas of Chicago.

Roy A Juopperi, 75, of Big Traverse Bay, passed from this life to eternal life with his Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, August 29, 1998. Surviving are his wife, Hilda; two daughters, Aleda Savolainen of Jacobsville, and Karla Anderson of Laurium; a son, Lon Juopperi of Ocklawaha; and seven grandchildren.

Hilma (Kytta, Siira) M. Seppanen, 86, of Mohawk, died on August 30, 1998. Surviving are two daughters, Elaine of Sterling Heights, and Judy Anderson of Lac La Belle.

Adele Bradsberry, infant daughter of Erin G. Bradsberry of Anthony Street, Hancock, died Wednesday, August 26, 1998, at Marquette General Hospital where she was born earlier that morning.

Ronald (Jack) Perry, 53, of Pelkie died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 29, 1998. Surviving are his wife Linda; two sons, Donald of Watton and John of L'Anse; two daughters, Callie Schjoth of Baraga and Arrietta Coppler of Pelkie. Burial in the Pelkie Cemetery.

Marvin LeClaire, 63, of Aura, died on August 21, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Mary, two sons, Randy Dexter of Garden City, and Graig of Wayne; six daughters, Gwen Bossenburger of Hancock, Sandra Suer of Westland, Deborah Horvath of Wetmore Lake, Roxanne Spear of Fenton, Kim Faust of Canton, and Melissa Frod of Littleton, CO.

James L. McEwen, 55, of Alston, passed away unexpectedly on August 21, 1998. Funeral services were held on August 25, 1998, at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Baraga. Surviving are his wife, Anita; two daughters, Lori Bugni of L'Anse and Kristy at home, a granddaughter and a brother Gerald of L'Anse.

Harold C. Erickson, 84, of L'Anse died on Thursday, August 27, 1998. Funeral Services on Monday, Aug. 31st, at 1 PM, at the L'Anse Baptist church.

Leroy G. Heib, of Calumet, died on August 26, 1998. Services were held on Monday at the Sacred Heart Church in Calumet. Leroy was a well known barber serving the area for over 40 years.

Mohan Krishnamurthy, 33, of Houghton drowned in a swimming accident on Wednesday, August 26, 1998, at Bete Gris in Keweenaw County. Mohan was a Michigan Technological University Associate Professor. A memorial service was held Sunday, August 30, at 10:00 a.m. at the Memorial Chapel in Hancock.

Marie (Beauchaine) Braun, 87, of South Range, a former South Range, Stanton, and Adams Township Elementary School teacher, died on Tuesday, August 25, 1998. Marie's sons Louis of Houghton and Paul of Martinez, GA survive her. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 AM on Saturday.

J. Leonard Perreault, 77, a long-time Hubbell resident, died at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility on Wednesday morning, August 19, 1998. He is survived by a son, David of Eden Prairie, MN, and a granddaughter; Angie. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Monday at St. Cecelia's Church in Lake Linden.

Toivo H. Antilla, 84, of Bruce Crossing, passed away Tuesday at Lillian Kerr Nursing Home in Phelps. Survivors include two sons, Don of Marquette, and Roger of Bruce Crossing.

James A Kunishige, 37, a resident of Atlantic Mine, died on Wednesday, August 19, 1998, due to injuries from an automobile accicent. Surviving are his wife, Julie, two sons, James and Jeremy, two daughters, Jasmine and Jade, all of Atlantic Mine. Funeral services were Saturday at the Mountain View Mortuary in South Range with Burial in the Forest Hill Cemetery.

Ernest L. Loonsfoot, 72, of Baraga died on Wednesday August 19, 1998. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, August 24, 1998, 11 AM, at Most Holy Name of Jesus Church in Assinins.

Carl A. Kannininen, 75, of Houghton, passed away Thursday, August 13, 1998, at his home. Carl is survived by his wife Helvi, of Houghton; a son, Steven of Sacramento, CA; a daughter, Mary Bailey of Ontonagon and one granddaughter. A memorial service was held on August 22 at the Cane Funeral Home in Ontonagon.

Seconda B (Basso) Suvanto, 84, died at Cypress Manor in Hancock on Tuesday, August 18, 1998. She is survived by her husband Arthur; a son, Charles of Chassell and a daughter Barbara Firak of Chicago. A Mass of christian Burial was celebrated at 11 on Saturday at the Church of the Resurrection.

Edwin A Naasko, 85, a summer resident of Baltic, died on Saturday, August 15, 1998. Surviving are his wife, Irene of Wixom, MI., and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services Wednesday, August 19, 11 AM, at the Mountain View Mortuary in South Range.

Edith (Richards) Jenkins, 91, of Houghton, passed away Thursday, August 13, 1998. Surviving are two sons, Rev. roger Jenkins of St. Paul and Harlow Gougeon of Houghton. Funeral services were held on Monday at the Plowe Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery.

Frederick J. Cencich, 70, of Mohawk, died on Thursday, August 13, 1998. Fred is survived by a brother, Joseph of Plymouth. A funeral service was held on Monday at the Erickson Crowley Funeral Home of Calumet.

Edward J. Gauthier, 91, of Houghton, died Wednesday, August 12, 1998. Surviving are one daughter, Nancy Dorvinen of Houghton, one sone, Charles of Hancock; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday at St. Ignatius Church.

Crescentia (Francis) Johnson, 91, of Hancock, died at her home on August 12, 1998. She is survived by a daughter, Suellen Reynolds of Houghton; three grandchildren, Shannon Harrington, Carole Noonan, and John Reynolds and four great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday.

Charles W. Anderson, 61, of Frenchtown, died on Monday, August 10, 1998. Charles is survived by his wife Shirley; three sons, Charles of Kaukana, Wi, Brian of Hancock, and Steven of Traverse City; two daughters, Teresa Rusk of Warrenville, IL, and Patricia McMillin of Rolla, MO. A Mass of Christian Burial Friday, 11 AM, Church of the Resurrection.

Mary "Mamie" (Kastelic) Munch, 89, of Calumet, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 1998. Mame is survived by one son and his wife, Louis and Sylvia Munch of Calumet. A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, at St Paul the Apostle Church in Calumet.

Bertha Smith, 86, of Ontonagon, passed away on Sunday August, 9, 1998. Surviving are her sons, Raymond of Dearborn, and Charles of Madison, WI.; a daughter, Ilona Zizic of Ventura, CA.; two grandsons and a great granddaughters.

Mary Istola, 65, of Greenland, died on Sunday, August 9, 1998. She is survived by her husband, Eli; five children, Julie Lowe of Wayland, MI, Daniel of Milwaukee, Cindy, Lynn and Charles, all of Greenland. Funeral services Thursday, 11 AM, at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Mass City.
