Mr. James B. Boers  1210 Pinehurst  Passed away July 19 at Bronson Hospital.  Mr. Boers was  born January 18, 1925 in Kalamazoo, the son of Benjamin and Marion (Stell) Boers.  Mr. Boers was a welder at Georgia Pacific, had served in World War II in the Navy.  Survived by his wife Catheline, 2 sons, Gary and Steven, 1 grandson, Jimmy, all of Kalamazoo; 2 sisters, Mrs. Charles (Irene) Walsh of Portage, Miss Marie Boers of Otsego; and a brother, Jack Boers of Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Funeral services, 11 am, Thursday at the Truesdale Williamsburg Chapel, 445 W. Stanley C. Boekhout  Franklin, N.C. Formerly of Kalamazoo, Mich.  Age 75, died unexpectedly Monday at his residence.  Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Chapel of Bryant Funeral Home, Franklin, N.C.  Survivors are:  one son, Robert Boekhout of Westland, Mich.;  one step-son, J. Mrs. Louise B. Boers  Formerly of 705 Edgemoor Ave.  Passed away Oct. 25, 1976, at the Upjohn Community Nursing Home.  Mrs. Boers was born June 3, 1898, in Kalamazoo.   She was a member of the Second Reformed Church and sang in the choir for over 45 years.  She was very active in the Kalamazoo Choral Society and the Kalamazoo College Bach Festival and also the Bronson Hospital Children’s Guild.  Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Howland (Shirley) Fowler of Washington, D.C.;  2 grandchildren, Miss Joanna Louise Fowler and Miss Amy Auchincloss Fowler;  one brother, Peter A. Bosker of Kalamazoo;  4 sisters, Mrs. Wilhelmina Weening of Kalamazoo,  Mrs. Lena Postma of Battle Creek,  Mrs. Effier Traer of Kalamazoo and Mrs. Josephine Westerville of Kalamazoo; several nieces and nephews.  Her husband, Clarence Chester Boers, preceded her in death in 1965.  Memorial services will be held Thursday at 8 p.m. at the Second Reformed Church , with Rev. Jay R. Weener officiating.  Private burial services.  Friends may call at the Truesdale Willliamsburg Chapel, 445 W. Mrs. Josephine Boers  1604 Winton Avenue  Passed away Sunday evening, November 14, 1971.  Mrs. Boers was born January 16, 1898 in the Netherlands, daughter of John and Marie Stell and had been a resident of this area for the past 69 years.  She was a charter member of the Greenwood Reformed church; prior to that she had been an active member of the Bethany Reformed Church.  She was united in marriage November 11, 1918 to Leonard Boers, Jr. and they had celebrated their 53rd Wedding Anniversary this past Thursday.  Surviving besides the husband, Leonard Boers Jr.; is one daughter and one son, Mrs. Jack R. (Stella) Bell of Kalamazoo, Leonard Boers, III of Saginaw;  four grandchildren, Mrs. John (Judith) Lore of Portage, Leonard Boers, IV,  David Alan and Lorie Marie Boers, all of Saginaw;  two great-grandchildren, Christopher and Matthew Lore;  one sister, Mrs. Johannah Cardiff of Portage;  several nieces and nephews.  Memorial services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o’clock, at the Langeland Chapel, 622 S. Mr. Richard H. (Dick) Bogard  Rte. 2, Vicksburg  Passed away Monday morning following a long illness.  Mr. Bogard was born in Kalamazoo, son of Richard and Lina Bogard and had resided in this area all of his life.  He was retired from Michiana Personel Services.  Of December 11, 1919 he was married to Florence White, who survives.  He was a member of the V.F.W. Red Arrow Post No. 1527 of Kalamazoo, Joseph B. Westnedge Post No. 36 American Legion and the Last Man’s Club;  a life member of B.P.O. Elks Lodge No. 50 Kalamazoo.  Surviving besides his wife, Florence, are:  one son, James C. of Vicksburg, one daughter, Mrs. Jena Peck of Kalamazoo; a half-brother, John C. Kloosterman of Kalamazoo;  two grandchildren; five great grandchildren;  several nieces and nephews.  Friends may call at the Rupert-Durham Funeral Home, where services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m., Rev. Mrs. Helen Boersma  1330 Bretton Dr.  Passed away Monday, April 19th.  Mrs. Boerman was born May 5, 1907 in Clyde, Ohio but spent most of her life in Kalamazoo.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church, also member and Past President of the Metropolitan Club Auxiliary Spirit No. 74.  Surviving are her husband Paul  M.; one son, Dale of Delton;  3 grandchildren, Susan, Beth and Janet;  one sister Mrs. Glea Boekeloo of Kalamazoo.  Memorial services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1 o’clock from the Langeland Chapel, 622 S. Mrs. Laura Bogard  Formerly of 729 W. Vine St.  Passed away Friday evening September 10, 1976 at Alamo Nursing Home. Mrs. Bogard was born August 27, 1892 in South Haven, Mi.  Daughter of Leo and Eva Stieve and was a resident of Kalamazoo for the past 60 years.  She was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church.  Her husband Peter passed away in 1947.  Surviving are two sons, Harold of Portage, Kenneth of Kalamazoo, nine grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, one brother and one sister Harry Stieve of Flint and Mrs. Grace Hartman of Lansing. Several nieces and nephews.  Memorial services will be held Monday at 2 o’clock at the St. James Lutheran church, 2381 Romence Rd.  Interment in Riverside Cemetery.  Friends may call beginning this evening at 7 at the Langeland Chapel 622 S. Surviving besides the parents are grandparents, Harold and Esther Bogard, Mrs. Ruth Tanner, all of Portage, Mr. Gene Tanner of Mattawan;  great-grandparents, Mrs. Anna Myers of Portage, Wayne and Hilda Tanner of Wayland, Mrs. Rena Farr of Grand Rapids;  several aunts, uncles, cousins.  A graveside service was held Monday afternoon at Babyland, Mt. Mrs. Ona Bogerman  1001C Patwood  Passed away suddenly at Borgess Hospital, Oct 10, 1976.  Mrs. Bogerman was born Dec. 13, 1897 in Farmland, Ind., the daughter of Alva and Ida Belle DeLonge Thornburg.  She was the widow of Cornelius Bogerman.  Surviving are 2 sons, Alfred Johnson of Kalamazoo and Grover Christman of Kalamazoo;  4 daughters, Mrs. Katherine Horn of Galesburg,  Mrs. Harry (Josephine) Hastings of Detroit,  Mrs. Orwell (Alma) Soper of Park Falls, Wis. and Mrs. Bernard (Roberta) Vallier of Kalamaaoo;  21 grandchildren;  33 great-grandchildren;  several nieces and nephews.  Friends are being received at the Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home, where services will be held Thursday at 2 o’clock, Rev. Mrs. May R. (Brigance) Bognar  540 Fenimore  Passed away Friday evening, March 26, 1971, Mrs. Bognar was born March 19, 1886 in Tyler, Missouri, daughter of Timothy and Lydia Pullen and had made her home in Hammond, Ind. and Kalamazoo.  She is survived by:  seven sons and two daughters, Charles C. and Ralph Brigance, both of Kalamazoo.  Edgar M. Brigance, Richland, Lawrence Brigance, Kalamazoo, Mrs. Charles (Eva Lou) Hoskins of Steele, Mo., William O. Brigance, Comstock,  Mrs. Margaret Abendroth, Parchment,  Ernest P. and William M. Brigance, both of Portage;  three step-sons and two step-daughters, Mrs. Delores McNeil of Oshtemo, John P. and William Bognar, Mrs. Berndadette Lyons and Jerome Bognar, all of Hammond, Ind.;  27 grandchildren,  22 great-grandchildren;  several nieces and nephews.  Memorial services will be held Monday afternoon at 1 o’clock from the Langeland Chapel, 622 S. Rafael Bolden  Infant  1912 Colgrove  Passed away Sunday, Dec 19, 1976.  He was born Oct. 16, 1975 in Kalamazoo.  The infant son of Joseph and Gloria Bolden who survives.  Surviving besides his parents are, one brother, Joseph Nathaniel Bolden III;  step-grandfather and grandmother, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Anderson of Benton Harbor, Mich.;  step-grandfather and grandmother, Mr. and Mrs. James Carter of Kalamazoo; and grandfathers, Mr. Henry Marshall of New York and Mr. Joseph Bolden Sr.; several other relatives.  Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday morning at the Harper Funeral Home, Rev. A. W. Mrs. Irene E. Bohnet  2200 North 5th St., Kalamazoo   Passed away November 10, 1976 at Borgess Hospital.  Mrs. Bohnet was born May 4, 1914 in Kalamazoo.  She was a former Scout Leader in the Kalamazoo area.  Surviving are her parents, Florence Sharp and Carl Kumley; 1 daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Joyce) Niles; 1 grandchild, Michael;  1 sister, Mrs. Merle (Edna) Harmon of Paw Paw;  1 brother, Mr. Paul Kumley of Paw Paw.  Funeral services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. in the Truesdale Chapels of the Pines, Westnedge at Milham, Portage,  Rev. Merle Halsey will officiate and burial will follow in Mt.
