Mrs. Shirley Bryant  6922 Lovers Lane, Portage  Died at Borgess Hospital yesterday, March 15 (1971), after a long illness, orn April 4, 1924 to Roy and Maurine Congdon in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  She served in World War II in the United States Coast Guard as a Seaman 2nd class Wave.  She is survived by 2 sons, Daniel and Rickie both at home,  2 sisters, Mrs. Beverly Heckman, Mrs. Charlotte Norwood, both of Portage,  3 brothers, Richard Congdon of Union Pier,  Roy Congdon, Jr. of Kalamazoo,  Jack Congdon of Portage;  1 aunt Mrs. Hilda Kettinger of Portage; several nieces and nephews. Religious services 3 p.m.  Thursday. Truesdale South Chapel Portage.  Rev. David B. Malachi Buchanan Jr  526 Arthur Ave.  Age 4, Passed away Monday, July 10, 1972.  Malachi was born July 15, 1967, in Kalamazoo, the son of Malachi Sr. and Mary Buchanan.  Surviving besides the parents are a brother, Michael; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Isom Buchanan, Mr. and Mrs. George Carter, all of Kalamazoo; great grandmothers, Mrs. Adah Buchanan of Okolona, Miss., Mrs. Willie Glass of DeWitt, Ark.; great-grandfather, Samuel Harris of Houlka, Miss.; 8 aunts, 4 uncles, 7 cousins, a host of other relatives and friends.  Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Galilee Baptist Church, Rev. Brandon Buck - 147 Robinson, Schoolcraft - Age 3 mos, passed away Tuesday afternoon at his home.  Brandon was born in Three Rivers, July 3, 1976, the son of Richard and Debra Chapin Buck. Surviving besides the parents are maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Chapin of Rte 1, Schoolcraft, paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Buck of Portage; maternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Lottie Chapin and maternal great-great-grandmother, Mrs. Ellen Stephenson, both of Rte 1, Schoolcraft; paternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Clock Sr. of Portage; paternal great-grandfather, Mr. H. Willliam Buck of Utica, Mich.; several aunts, uncles and cousins.  Services Thursday at the Schoolcraft United Methodist Church, Rev. Mrs. Dagny A. Buck  1513 Clinton - Mrs. Buck was born June 19, 1936, in Chapin, Michigan and had been a resident here since 1959.  Surviving are the husband, Richard R. Buck; three children, Pamela Jo; Jody Lynn and Bradley Richard; mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Surato of Hale, Michigan;  father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Austin Hall of Akron, Ohio; a grandfather, Mr. Archie Sutton, Boyne City, Mich.; two brothers, Archie L. Hall of Cleveland, Ohio and Austin A. Hall of Grand Blanc, Michigan.  Memorial services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Langeland Chapel, 622 S. BurdickSt., Rev. Mrs. Eva M. Buckallew  10329 Oakland Dr., Passed away early Monday morning.  Born Nov. 23, 1892, in Garrett, Ind., to George and Minnie Streby Long and has been a resident here  for 60 years.  Widow of Joseph W., who passed away in March of 1959.  Member of First United Methodist Church.  Mrs. Buckallew was also preceded in death by a son Russell, June of 1968.  Surviving are 3 sons, Beryl and Gerald of Kalamazoo, Ralph of Fenton; 4 daughters, Mrs. Henry (Ardell) Shultz, Mrs. William E. (Charlotte) Hamlin and Mrs. Meril (Marvel) Harris of Paw Paw, Mrs. Otto (Beverly) Baker, Paw Paw; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Owen J. Long of Davenport, Fla. and Norman B. Long Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.;  2 sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Talbot, Kalamazoo, Mrs. Gladys McCallum of Paw Paw; several nieces and nephews.  Friends are being received at the Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home, where services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.  Rev. Mrs. Montie Buckingham, R.N., Dallas, Texas, Formerly of Kalamazoo - Passed away Thursday, April 8, in Dallas, where she had made her home for the last 10 years.  She was born January 16, 1890, in Onawa, Iowa and had resided in Kalamazoo most of her life.  She was employed as a city nurse in Kalamazoo and later as an industrial nurse at both Bryant and Sutherland Paper Mills until her retirement. Mrs. Buckingham was a life member of Corinthian Chapter OES.  She is survived by one brother, Fred Kelly of Dallas; several nieces and nephews.  Memorial services will be held Monday, April 12 at the Restlawn Memorial Chapel, Dallas, Texas.  Inquires may be made at the Langeland Chapels.  source:  Kalamazoo Gazette Fri Apr 1971

Kevin Andrew Buckley  1021 Cambridge Drive  Passed away Wednesday morning at Borgess Hospital. He was born December 11, 1971, son of Patrick and Arlene Buckley. He was a member of St. Monica's Church.  Surviving with the parents are the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Witek of Michigan City, Indiana and paternal grandparents, Mr. F. Mr. Forrest W. Buckman  2404 S. Westnedge  Passed away October 1, 1971 at Borgess Hospital.  Mr. Buckman wa born June 21, 1915 in Berrien Springs, Michigan, son of Charles F. and Ruth Fisher Buckman and has been a resident here for the past 32 years where he was associated with the American Automobile Association in Claims Management. A veteran of World War II, member of the First United Methodist Church, B.P.O.E. No. 50.  Surviving are the wife, Clara M.; one daughter and six sons, Mrs. Kenneth (Jill) Gernaat, Frederick W.,  Jackson, Alan F., Joseph D., Robert K., Paul R., Jeffrey W., Kalamazoo; one granddaughter; his mother, Mrs. Ruth Buckman, Berrien Springs; two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Helen) Hudson, Mrs. Richard (Mary) Easton, Kalamazoo;  brother, Robert K., Wilmington, Delaware.  Mr. Buckman will be at the Truesdale Downtown Funeral Home. Mr. Milford Y. Buddemeier, 221 Tarawa, Lakeland, Florida, Formerly of Kalamazoo - Passed away Friday evening in Lakeland.  Born February 23, 1891 in Sidney, Illinois, son of August and Irene Yates Buddemeier.  He had been employed at K.V.P. Company until his retirement.  He was married to Hazel C. Hartley, who survives. Also surviving:  five sons, Milford and Russell of Richland, Howard of Galesburg, Robert of Kalamazoo and Wayne of Bradenton, Florida;  17 granchildren; several great-grandchildren.  Friends are being received at the Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home after 12 noon Tuesday.  Services will be held Wednesday at 2 o'clock with Rev. Mrs. Myrna V. Buddemeier - Rte 2, Schoolcraft - Passed away Saturday afternoon in Jackson, Michigan.  She was born June 28, 1937, daughter of Courtland and Lillian Hubert Rowley. She was a member of Kalamazoo South Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses. She had spent many years in full time ministry for Jehovah's Witnesses in Chicago, Kalamazoo and Detroit. She was employed by Command Electronics, Schoolcraft.  She was married to David Buddemeier, August 25, 1962, who survives.  Also surviving: three sons, Terry, David and Michael Moss of Gainesville, Florida; two brothers, Larry Rowley and Jerry Rowley both of Detroit;  her mother, Mrs. Lillian Rowley of Schoolcraft; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Memorial services will be held Wednesday at 7:30 at the Portage Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, presiding overseer, Albert Peters will officiate. Mrs. Lillian Belle Buder, 922 Dayton - Passed away Tuesday Dec 31, (1971) at Borgess Hospital. She was the widow of Otto K. Buder, former Sherriff (sic) of Kalamazoo County. Mrs. Buder was born May 20, 1898, in Kalamazoo, daughter of William and Katherine Falk and was a lifetime resident here, where she was employed at the Butterfield Theatres, at the State Theatre Ticket window the past 14 years.  Former member of Ladies Auxiliary Red Arrow Post VFW.  Surviving are 2 sons and one daughter, Mrs. John (Barbara) Kreeger, Otto K., and Carol G., Kalamazoo;  11 grandchildren; 2 sisters and 2 brothers, Mrs. Rea Ockerman, Kalamazoo,  Mrs. Grace King, Ft. Mrs. Iva B. Buell - 2213 Luella St. - Passed away at her residence Thursday evening, March 24, 1977. Mrs. Buell was born Feb. 28, 1890, in Prairie Ronde Twp., daughter of William and Alice Dolby Blanchard.  She was married to James E. Buell, who preceded her in death.  Surviving are 3 children, Clifford Buell, Mrs. Coral Cam, both of Kalamazoo,  Mrs. Rosela Stickley of Palm Harbor, Fla.; 18 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren;  one sister, Mrs. Emily Geren of Kalamazoo; one brother, Milton Blanchard of Battle Creek; several nices and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a son, Burton.  Friends are being received at the Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home, where services will be held Monday at 1 o'clock, with Rev. Mrs. Mary Buettner  6831 Springbrook Lane  Passed away at her home suddenly Tuesday evening.  Mrs. Buettner was born March 14, 1927, in Chicago, the daughter of Thomas and Bridget Henehan and had been a resident here for the past 1-1/2 years.  She was a member of St. Ambrose Church, Parchment.  Surviving besides the parents are her husband, Daniel; 4 children, Daniel, Robert, Mary Ann and Susan; 2 brothers, Thomas and John; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Lanigan, all of Chicago.  Mrs. Buettner will be taken to Hickey-Vandenberg Funeral Home, Tinley Park, Ill., where funeral services will be held Saturday, with burial in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Chicago.  Arrangements by the Redmond Funeral Home.  source: Kalamazoo Gazette  Wed 5 May 1971

Mrs. Dorothy H. Buiskool  129 Gilkison, Kalamazoo Passed away at Borgess Hospital, Saturday evening. Mrs. Buiskool was born November 3, 1905 in Forest Grove, daughter of Henry and Dora VandeBunte.  She graduated from Allegan High School in 1923.  October 14, 1933, she married Herman Buiskool and together they owned and operated the Hinckley and Cornell Insurance Agency in Kalamazoo for 30 years, selling and retiring this fall.  Surviving are: her husband, Herman; two brothers and one sister, M. J. VandeBunte, East Lansing, Gerold VandeBunte, Rte 3, Plainwell and Mrs. Gertrude Edgerton, Allegan;  five nieces and one nephew.  Friends may call at the Allegan Chapel, Gordon Funeral Residence where services will be held Wednesday at 1 o'clock, Rev.
