Sampson Williams to officiate. Family will receive friends 5-9 pm Saturday and all day Sunday. Rollie was born May 5, 1931 in Custer, South Dakota the son of Mr. & Mrs. Dale and Bertha (Hitt) Jones. Rollie married Opal Ort April 5, 1950 a union that lasted 50 years. He also owned and operated Jones Appliance Service for over 30 years. Survivors include wife: Opal; 1 son: Dale Jones; 1 daughter: Laurie Prano; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren. Mary Jeanette "Nettie" Newcombe Of Genesee Twp. age 80, died Tuesday April 25, 2000 at her home. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Friday from Mt. Morris Church of Christ (corner of South and Brockway). Mr. Curtis Watson officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Mrs. Newcombe will remain at the Miles Martin Funeral Home where friends may call 6-9pm Wednesday and all day Thursday. On Friday she will be taken to church to lie in state from 12 noon until time of services at 1:00 pm. Born February 26, 1920 in Yale the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel and Cora (Coon) Kern. She and Kenneth C. Newcombe where united in marriage March 5, 1937. He preceded her in death Nov. 3, 1991. Nettie was a member of Mt. Morris Church of Christ and was formerly employed with Chevrolet Mfg from 1951-1959. Surviving are her 2 sons: Kenneth and wife Andrea Newcombe of Mt. Morris; Joe and wife Joan Newcombe of Mt. Charles "Chuck" F. Kulinec Jr. Of Millington age 58 died Easter Sunday April 23, 2000 at Hurley Medical Center as a result of an accident while at work. Born April 7, 1942 in Flint the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. and Josephine A. (Justynski) Kulinec. He and Sharon Lewis were united in marriage May 1, 1965. Mr. Kulinec was employed with Delphi East as a millwright with 38 years service and was a member of the union. During the 1970's he raced Polaris snowmobiles and Yamaha motorcycles in Enduros. David and Jennifer Jordan were united in marriage February 23, 1985. He was employed with The Wall Street Journal, Dallas office, and served in U.S. Army for 2 years prior to moving to Texas. Barbara was born February 25, 1926 in Saginaw, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur and Gladys (Hammond) Walsh. She was united in marriage September 22, 1956 in Angola, Indiana to Fred Wildbore. He preceded her in death May 25, 1991. Barbara was an avid bowler, being secretary and treasure for her bowling leagues for many years. She was a volunteer for many organizations throughout the years. She was a member of V.F.W. #1452 Auxiliary. Surviving are: son, Larry and wife Karen Wildbore; 2 daughters: Susan and husband Gary Countryman; Kathy and husband Warner Criner; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; many cousins , friends and special friend Carol Kern. Shane was born September 13, 1973 in Flint, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Ronald and Penny (Spalding) Bacon. He married Misty Long August 9, 1997. Shane loved hunting and fishing. He was a loving husband, father, and son. Mr. Bacon graduated from Mt. Morris High School in 1993, and was a lifelong resident of Mt. Morris until moving to Flint in February of 2000. John G. "Jack" Chapman Age 75, of Mt. Morris, died Friday April 14, 2000 at Carl Hayden Veterans Hospital. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Tuesday April 18, 2000 from St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Fr. Terry Villaire officiating. Family will be present to receive friends Sunday 6-9 and from 9-9pm Monday at Miles Martin Funeral Home. On Monday evening family, friends and parish will gather at the funeral home to pray the Rosary at 7 pm. Tuesday Morning Mr. Chapman will lie in state at the church from 12noon - 1pm, time of service. Memorial contributions may be considered for the American Cancer Society or the Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Chapman was born October 26, 1924 in Mt. Morris, Michigan, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Joseph & Teresa (Braley) Chapman. He married Flora Jane Cauthen in Burbank, CA. On February 2, 1946. Jack graduated from St. Mary Catholic School and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Jack was employed at Buick Plant 31, and retired in 1982. He was a member of the Boy Scouts Tall Pine Council. Mr. Chapman also served on the board with Michigan Federal Credit Union, the Mt. Morris City Council, and on the Genesee County Board of Commissioners. Jack was a member of the Mt. Morris Senior Citizens Club. He attended Seventh Day Adventist Church. He served in National Guards for several years. Prior to his retirement he had been employed by Buick Motor Co. for 30 years he also owned and operated Parkers Greenhouse for 31 years. He was employed with Grand Blanc Metal fab as a forklift driver with 30 years service. He enjoyed Bowling and was a member of the 3 G's team at Eastown.
