Sampson Williams to officiate. Family will receive friends 5-9 pm Saturday and all day Sunday. Rollie was born May 5, 1931 in Custer, South Dakota the son of Mr. & Mrs. Dale and Bertha (Hitt) Jones. Rollie married Opal Ort April 5, 1950 a union that lasted 50 years. He also owned and operated Jones Appliance Service for over 30 years. Survivors include wife: Opal; 1 son: Dale Jones; 1 daughter: Laurie Prano; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
Mary Jeanette "Nettie" Newcombe
Of Genesee Twp. age 80, died Tuesday April 25, 2000 at her home. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Friday from Mt. Morris Church of Christ (corner of South and Brockway). Mr. Curtis Watson officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Mrs. Newcombe will remain at the Miles Martin Funeral Home where friends may call 6-9pm Wednesday and all day Thursday. On Friday she will be taken to church to lie in state from 12 noon until time of services at 1:00 pm. Born February 26, 1920 in Yale the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel and Cora (Coon) Kern. She and Kenneth C. Newcombe where united in marriage March 5, 1937. He preceded her in death Nov. 3, 1991. Nettie was a member of Mt. Morris Church of Christ and was formerly employed with Chevrolet Mfg from 1951-1959. Surviving are her 2 sons: Kenneth and wife Andrea Newcombe of Mt. Morris; Joe and wife Joan Newcombe of Mt. Charles "Chuck" F. Kulinec Jr.
Of Millington age 58 died Easter Sunday April 23, 2000 at Hurley Medical Center as a result of an accident while at work. Funeral services for Chuck will be 1:00pm Tuesday from Trinity Baptist Church, 4222 N. Elms Rd., Flushing. Pastor Leonard Saunders officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at Miles Martin Funeral Home funeral home 2-4pm and 6-8:30pm Monday. Tuesday morning Mr. Kulinec will be taken to church to lie in state from 12noon until time of funeral services at 1:00pm. Born April 7, 1942 in Flint the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. and Josephine A. (Justynski) Kulinec. He and Sharon Lewis were united in marriage May 1, 1965. Mr. Kulinec was employed with Delphi East as a millwright with 38 years service and was a member of the union. During the 1970's he raced Polaris snowmobiles and Yamaha motorcycles in Enduros. Surviving are his wife: Sharon; 3 Children: Gary and wife Michelle Kulinec of Peoria, Arizona; Lynn and husband Andy Fabbo of Del Haven, NJ; Ryan Kulinec and girlfriend Melissa Lacewell of Millington; 3 grandchildren: Ryan Fabbo; Abbie Kulinec; Charles Kulinec; Parents: Charles and Josephine Kulinec of Swartz Creek; 2 sisters: Mary Jo and husband Jerry Regan of Swartz Creek; Kathy and husband Mike Niergarth of Grand Haven; Several nieces and nephews. There were visitation and services in Texas on Tuesday. He is being transported to Miles Martin Funeral Home where friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday 5-9pm. Thursday morning Mr. Morrish will be taken to church to lie in state from 10am until time of service at 11am. David was born June 21,1958 in Owosso the son of Mr. And Mrs. David W. and Joyce (Lucier) Morrish. He grew up in the Montrose and Mt. Morris areas. Moving to Dallas TX. From Mt. Morris in 1984. David and Jennifer Jordan were united in marriage February 23, 1985. He was employed with The Wall Street Journal, Dallas office, and served in U.S. Army for 2 years prior to moving to Texas. David was a loving and caring husband, father, son ,brother, and friend. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Jennifer; Children at home: son: Jerry; daughter: Jordan; 2 sons in Mt. Of Mt. Morris age 74 died Friday April 21, 2000 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 1:00 pm at Miles Martin Funeral Home on Tuesday .With burial at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Pastor Robert Koch to officiate. Family will receive friends 6-9pm on Sunday, all day on Monday and 9:00 am until time of service on Tuesday. Barbara was born February 25, 1926 in Saginaw, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur and Gladys (Hammond) Walsh. She was united in marriage September 22, 1956 in Angola, Indiana to Fred Wildbore. He preceded her in death May 25, 1991. Barbara was an avid bowler, being secretary and treasure for her bowling leagues for many years. She was a volunteer for many organizations throughout the years. She was a member of V.F.W. #1452 Auxiliary. Surviving are: son, Larry and wife Karen Wildbore; 2 daughters: Susan and husband Gary Countryman; Kathy and husband Warner Criner; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; many cousins , friends and special friend Carol Kern. She was preceded in death by her parents. In lieu of flowers donation may be considered to the Diabetes Foundation of Flint.

Shane was born September 13, 1973 in Flint, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Ronald and Penny (Spalding) Bacon. He married Misty Long August 9, 1997. Shane loved hunting and fishing. He was a loving husband, father, and son. Mr. Bacon graduated from Mt. Morris High School in 1993, and was a lifelong resident of Mt. Morris until moving to Flint in February of 2000. Surviving are: Wife Misty; 3 sons: Shane; Zachary; and Devin; Parents: Ron and Penny Bacon; Brother: Ronald Lee Bacon and Fiancée Lisa Laurain; Sister: Lisa Bacon; Father & Mother in law: Eugene Schmitter and Sandra Bower; 2 Brothers in law: Brad and wife Krista Long; Robert Goodrich; Sister in Law: Christina Goodrich; Niece: Paige Bacon; Nephew: Triston Long; Grandparents: Donald and Faye Bacon; Shirley and Gerald McLachlan; Several Aunts and Uncles. He was a member of St. Frances Xavier Catholic Church in Otisville. He had been involved in many Civic, Business and Church Organizations for many years. Age 90, Formerly of Mt. Morris went to be with the Lord Saturday April 15, 2000 at McLaren Hospice. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home 9:30 am Tuesday morning for prayers then proceed to the church for holy mass at 10:00 AM. Leona was born on July 16, 1909 in Bay City the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James and Hendrica (Jacobs) Metevia.. She and Walter Blake were united in marriage on October 17, 1925. He preceded her in death June 1967. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Mt. Morris. Surviving are daughter: Leona and husband Dawain Link of Alger; Sons: Richard and wife Pat Blake of Mt. Morris; Bernard and wife Terry Blake of Alger; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; Sister in law: Mary McTavia of Flushing; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both parents, husband, daughter Betty Blake, 2 sons Walter Blake and Emery Blake, Brother James, 2 Sisters Margie and Bertha.
John G. "Jack" Chapman
Age 75, of Mt. Morris, died Friday April 14, 2000 at Carl Hayden Veterans Hospital. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Tuesday April 18, 2000 from St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Fr. Terry Villaire officiating. Family will be present to receive friends Sunday 6-9 and from 9-9pm Monday at Miles Martin Funeral Home. On Monday evening family, friends and parish will gather at the funeral home to pray the Rosary at 7 pm. Tuesday Morning Mr. Chapman will lie in state at the church from 12noon - 1pm, time of service. Memorial contributions may be considered for the American Cancer Society or the Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Chapman was born October 26, 1924 in Mt. Morris, Michigan, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Joseph & Teresa (Braley) Chapman. He married Flora Jane Cauthen in Burbank, CA. On February 2, 1946. Jack graduated from St. Mary Catholic School and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Jack was employed at Buick Plant 31, and retired in 1982. He was a member of the Boy Scouts Tall Pine Council. Mr. Chapman also served on the board with Michigan Federal Credit Union, the Mt. Morris City Council, and on the Genesee County Board of Commissioners. Jack was a member of the Mt. Morris Senior Citizens Club. Surviving are: 10 children: Jim and wife Kathy Chapman of Flint; Marilyn Chapman of Mt. Morris; Margo and Life long companion Patti Neives of CA,; Marlene and husband Jerry Pepperack of AZ.; John D. Chapman and Life long companion Terry Villaire of FL,; Monica Deloney of Mt. Morris; Marda Sorenson of Mt. Morris; Mary and husband Dennis Austin of AZ.; Melissa Merrow of AZ.; Marnie and husband Ramon Espinoza of Mt. Morris August 29, 1940 , the son of Arthur and Doris (Rockwell) Bentley. Jim received his education at Genesee and Kearsley High School, and graduated from GM Tech as a Journeyman. He had worked at Fisher Body Grand Blanc and Flint Truck and Bus. Jim was also active in the Genesee Twp. Police Dept. and on the Narcotics Task Force-Genesee County Sheriff Dept. Surviving are Father: Arthur and Step-Mother Eileen Bentley of Genesee; Brother: Robert and wife Melissa Bentley of Clio; Sister: Nancy Wright of Clio; Daughter: Kimberly and husband Dan Hall of Flint; Son: Eric and wife Andrea Bentley of Okemos; Grand Daughters: Amanda Hall and Sidney Bentley; Many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Mother and Grandparents.

Rogers November 13, 1954. He was a member of the Eagles Aeerie # 3485 and a Veteran of WW2. He had been employed at Fisher Body Coldwater Plant for 32 years. He is survived by Wife; Janice of Mt. Eldon was born on August 29, 1933 in Flint the son of Mr. and Mrs. George W. and Amelia (Von Weiderhausen) Parker. He and Sharon A. Isham were united in marriage in June 28, 1953. He attended Seventh Day Adventist Church. He served in National Guards for several years. Prior to his retirement he had been employed by Buick Motor Co. for 30 years he also owned and operated Parkers Greenhouse for 31 years. Surviving are wife: Sharon of Clio; 6 children: Curtis E. and Elise Parker of Clio; Everette G. and Kathy Parker of Millington; Rodney J. Parker of Clio; Connie M. Parker of Niles; Ralph D. Jape was born on June 9, 1942 in Parma, Missouri the son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. and Dora Cleny (Barritt) Gregory. He retired from A.C. Spark Plug and UAW #651 with 30 years of service as a welder. He loved his family, the outdoors and his garden. Survivors are wife: Birdie; 3 sons: Harry Gene; Timothy Bruce; James Ellis; 2 daughters: Carla Mae Carmer; Sue Ann Gregory ; 17 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; 5 brothers. He was preceded in death by both parents, son Wendle Ray and 3 sisters.

Morris was born on December 16, 1943 in Flora, Illinois the son of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Verne and Helen Louise (Atkinson) Strother. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1967 and retired from GM with 30 years of service as an electrician. His hobbies included hunting and fishing. Surviving are 2 sons: Douglas and Daniel Strother; fiancée Lydia Baker; 4 sisters: Donna Elie; Peggy Jausel; Glenda Truitt; Ruthie Furry; 1 brother: Leo Thompson; mother: Helen Price; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen.

He was a member and Captain of Beecher Fire Department with 29 years service. A member of Auto City Eagles Aerie and the Lapeer Chapter of Harley Owners group, UAW Local #1292. He was employed with Grand Blanc Metal fab as a forklift driver with 30 years service. He enjoyed Bowling and was a member of the 3 G's team at Eastown. Survivors include his former wife and close friend: Joyce Lang of Flint; 6 children: Carrie and husband Darry Rosinski of Traverse City; David and wife Shelley Lang of Maple City; Lola and husband Basil Crowder of Indiana; Brett Lang of Mt.
