Harold Firman Woverton
Age 66, of Fairgrove died Thursday February 24, 2000 at his home. Funeral Services will be held Monday February 28, 2000 at 11:00 am from the Martin Funeral Home in Fairgrove. Friends may call at the funeral home where family will receive friends from 6 - 9 pm Saturday and all day Sunday. Sunday evening, Fairgrove VFW Post #7486 will assemble for memorial services at 7:30 pm. Mr. Wolverton was born November 24, 1933 in Fairgrove the son of Mr. & Mrs. Firman Stephen & Maggie Sarah (Hunter) Wolverton. He and Kathleen Ann Maupin were united in marriage June 10, 1966. He was a veteran on the Korean War serving with the US Army Infantry. A life member of Akron-Fairgrove Post #7486 and American Legion Reese Post. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed Michigan hunting. Mr. Wolverton was also a member of Local #17 I.B.E.W. He retired in 1996 from I.B.E.W with 29 years service. Surviving are: Wife: Kathleen; Daughter: Catherine Marie Cogo & husband Charles of Canton; Son: Brian Firman Wolverton and Michelle of Pontiac; 2 Grandchildren: Stephanie Marie Cogo; Jessica Lee Cogo; Sister: Frances Morris of St. Clair Shores; Twin Brother: Donald Hunter Wolverton and wife Dolores of Reese; Several Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother C.R. Wolverton and sister Mary Jean Knudsen. 

Geraldine "Gerry" Duford

Of Mt. Morris, age 73, died Wednesday February 23, 2000 at home with her family. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Miles Martin Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Cook officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Morris Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6:00 p.m. Thursday and all day on Friday. Mt. Morris Chapter #474 will assemble at the funeral home for Eastern Star Memorial Services 7:00 p.m. Friday. If desired, memorials may be directed in Gerry's memory toward Mooseheart Children's Home. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Mrs. Duford was born in Oakland County on June 3, 1926 the daughter of Louis and Elsie (Sian) Coggins. She married Don H. Duford on June 27, 1942 and they were happily married for 57 years before his death in July 5, 1999. She devoted her life to caring for her husband and six children, and was Nana to their fourteen grandchildren. She loved kids and created Camp GraNana for her grandchildren and their friends. She was involved in the Moose Lodge in Florida, especially with activities for the children of Mooseheart. She was a seamstress, an avid gardener, gourmet cook, musician, songwriter, and loved to dress up as a clown to entertain children. She enjoyed cake decorating, quilting and planning dinners and parties. She was a Past Worthy Matron of Mt. Morris Chapter #474 Order of Eastern Star. She leaves to cherish her memory her six children: Norman and wife Peg Duford of Mt. Morris; Dennis and wife Susan Duford of Waterford; Merrilee and husband Al Doty of Auburn; Renee Duford of Grand Haven; Brenda and husband Mike Wood of Mt. Morris; Gail and husband Mark Tanner of Davison; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers: Lou Coggins; Carl Coggins; Clare Coggins; Clarence Coggins; sister: Phyllis Lorenz; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Don and 2 brothers, Francis and Roger Coggins. She believed in angels. 

Isabelle Hadaway

Of Fairgrove age 89 died Saturday February 19, 2000 at Caro Community Hospital. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, February 23, 2000 at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairgrove, Pastor David Petersen to officiating. Burial at Brookside Cemetery. The Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00-9:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home-Fairgrove. Mrs. Hadaway will lie in state at 10:00 am on Wednesday at the church . Mrs. Hadaway was born on November 07, 1910 in Buckley, Illinois the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julius and Louise (Dippel) Steinman. She and Mr. Herman Hadaway were united in marriage November 11, 1931. He preceded her in death October 15, 1991. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and Ladies aid. Memorial Contributions can be made to a charity of ones choice. Surviving 7 children: Richard and wife Sharon Hadaway of Fairgrove; Durelle and wife Shirley Hadaway of Fairgrove; Keith and wife Jane Hadaway of Owosso; Robert and wife Violet Hadaway of Gilford; Phyllis Southgate of Bay City; Thomas and wife Sondra Hadaway of Fairgrove; James and wife Diana Hadaway of Bay City; 19 Grandchildren; 21 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandchild: Tyler; 3 Sisters: Opal Fiebig of Ft. Wayne Indiana; Melba Mohney of Three Rivers; Gladys Metzger of Highland; Brother: Bud Steinman of Downgiac. 

Norma Hering

Age 90, of Mt. Morris died Thursday February 17, 2000 at her home. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am Saturday February 19, 2000 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Raymond Urbanek officiating, burial in Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends at Miles Martin funeral home 1pm- 9pm Friday, at 7 pm family, parish and friends will gather at the funeral home to pray the rosary . Saturday Morning friends and family will gather at the funeral home for prayers at 10:30 am then proceed to church for the holy mass at 11:00 am. Mrs. Hering was born June 23, 1909 in Naubinway, MI. the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. and Edna B. (Pixley) Morgan. She married Ernest Hering on Nov. 26, 1932. He preceded her in death October 16, 1977. She was a Homemaker. She was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church and the Alter Society in Mt. Morris. Memorials can be sent to St. Vincent De Paul. Survivors include: 2 Daughters - Bethany & husband John Montney of Mt. Morris, Rita and husband Thomas Harris of Flushing, MI 8 Grandchildren - Michael & wife Tina Hering, Debbie & husband Scott Hogan Brian & wife Luree Harris, Patti & husband Tim Sabourin, Mimi & husband Eric Morgan, John & wife Jenny Montney, Lisa Montney, Traci Delgado 12 Great Grandchildren - Angela Yuhos, Justin & Morgan Harris, Katie & Madison Sabourin, Johnny, Jacob & Jaycie Montney, Ryan Hering, Brandon Delgado, Chaz Hering, and Trace Hogan. 2 Sisters- Theresa Potts, Lois Morgan 1 brother Charles and wife Lillian Morgan Many nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Son Charles Hering, October 1996, 3 sisters, and 3 brothers, 2 grandchildren, Carol Lynn and Michelle Marie Montney . 

Vera A. Fyfe
Of Mt. Morris, age 63 went to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 15, 2000 due to complications after surgery. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Saturday February 19, 2000. Rev. Burton Jones will officiate with burial at Cadillac Memorial in Westland. Family will receive friends Thursday 4:00 to 9:00 pm on Thursday, all day Friday, and on Saturday from 9:00 am to time of service. Vera was born March 28, 1936 in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer and Theresa (Fick) Schuch. She was always there in need, a mother and friend will be greatly missed. Surviving are: 5 children: Henry Lee: Pamela; Deborah; Elizabeth; and John Alan: 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters: Lelah Wenzel; Eunice Leming; and Vera's first husband Henry Hatmaker. She was preceded in death by both parents, husband Ira J., son Jeffrey M. Hatmaker and brother Albert Schuch. 

Patrick Henry
Of Mt. Morris died Friday February 11, 2000 at Genesys Hospice. Cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service at Miles Martin Funeral Home Sunday February 13, 2000 at 1:00 pm. Major John Mowers to officiate. Family will receive friends from 11:00 am until service. Patrick was born November 23, 1936 in Rogers City, MI. the son of Mr. & Mrs. Arthur James and Florence Mary (Berry) Henry. Survivors include wife: Peggy; sons: Patrick Henry Jr.; Michael and wife Marilyn Henry; Brett Henry; daughters: Cindy and husband Richard Ruschki; Shawn and husband Scott Hogg; step daughters: Justine Oswald; Kimberly and husband Dale Hatt; Stephanie and husband Jason Foultcher; Laura Teeples; 17 grandchildren; brothers: William and wife Diane Henry; James and wife Patricia Henry; sisters: Mary and husband Gary Hartman; Sally Henry. He was preceded in by both parents, son Lowell, brother Kenneth, sister Mary Ann. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made directly or at the funeral home to the Salvation Army. 

Richard Kozlesky
Age 53 of Grand Blanc formerly of Mt. Morris died Thursday February 10, 2000 at Genesys Health Park. Services at Miles Martin Funeral Home on Monday February 14, 10:00am with Rev. Fr. Raymond Urbanek officiating. Burial at Calvary Cemetery. Mr Kozlesky will remain at Miles Martin Funeral Home where friends may call after 12 noon Sunday. Mr Kozlesky was born April 20, 1946 in Latrobe, Pennsylvania the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Mary (Zavada) Kozlesky. He graduated from Mt Morris High School class of 1964. Mr Kozlesky served with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era. Survived by Brother Joseph Kenneth and wife Carol Kozlesky of Mt Morris; Niece Stephanie Love of Ft Myers Fl.; Nephew Joseph K. Jr and wife Cheryl Kozlesky of Flint; Several Aunts and Uncles; Cousins in Latrobe Pennsylvania; and Margart Zavada of Lincoln Park. 

Nick L. Wolosonowich
Age 49 of Clio, Died Tuesday February 8, 2000 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral service will take place 2:00 p.m Friday at the Miles Martin Funeral Home with burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm and Friday from 9:00 am until the time of service. Nick was born March 1, 1950 in Flint the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nick and Alberta (Eargood) Wolosonowich. Nick was united in marriage to Eileen A. Reinhardt on April 20,1970. Mr Wolosonowich is survived by his wife Eileen, son Nick Wolosonowich Jr. of Mt Morris and daughter Terri Fink of Mt Morris. 7 Grandchildren, 5 Sisters Eleanore, Wanda, Peggy, Rosemary, Sandy and 3 Brothers David, Neil; and Bill. Mr Wolosonowich was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother Kenny. 

Winifred (Audrey) Murray
Age 90, of Mt Morris, Michigan died Tuesday February 8,2000 at Briarwood Manor Flint Michigan. Services will be at Miles Martin Funeral Home Friday February 11, at 11 am. Rev. Walter David officiating. Burial at Flint Memorial Park. Family will recieve friends Thursday 2 to 4 and 6 to 9. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Helping Hands of West Branch. Mrs Murray was Born January 9, 1910 in Saginaw Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Audley Richards and Winifred Lewis. Winifred Richards was united in marriage to Vincent Murray on October 8,1933 in Lansing, Michigan. Mrs Murray is survived by 3 children Katherine and husband William Kovalcsik of Hale Michigan; Darrell and wife Helen Murray of Fountain Hills Arizona; Janet and husband Gary Gilmer of West Branch, Michigan. 6 grandsons: Michael Kovalcsik of Hale; William and wife Theresa Murray of Minnetonka Minnesota; David and wife Rosalind Murray of Orlando, Florida; Douglas Gilmer and Michelle Chockley of Flushing; Gregory Gilmer of Mt Morris; Scott and wife Caroline Gilmer of Grand Blanc; 8 great grandchildren; 2 brothers Audley G. and wife Gert Richards; Robert and wife Maxine Richards. And a very special friend Mable Powel. Preceeded in death by her husband Vincent Murray May 23,1980 and Son John Murray 1994.
