1998 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral Services will be 10 AM Tuesday June

day Monday. Grace was born May 11, 1921 in Linden, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Irving and Olive (Hamner) Meyers. She was married to Earl Eddy who
preceded her in death Dec 7, 1982. She owned and operated, as the 2nd generation
DePue Photo Service in Mt. Morris where she worked with parents and brother,
prior to her ownership. Surviving are: special friend, Kimberly Kenworthy;
2 stepsons, Wayne Eddy and John Eddy; several nieces and nephews. Grace
was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, brother William Myers, sister
Margaret Cummins and stepson Earl Eugene Eddy.

Virginia M. Baker 1964 in Saginaw. She preceded him in death June 13, 1991.
He retired from Chevrolet Assembly as an electrician. He was a member of
Mt. Morris Lodge #535, Elf Khurafah Shrine and North End Baptist Church
of Mt. Morris. Surviving are: daughter, Velvet Cherie Rogers of Palm Springs,
CA; 6 stepchildren, Susan and husband Don Ramlow of Swart Creek, Paula
and husband Jerry Williams of Swartz Creek, Bill and wife Marcine Keeler
of Mt. Morris, David Keeler of Mt. Morris, Terry and husband Mike Lantz

Hazel E. Ayers
Of Flint, age 82 died Thursday June 25, 1998 at Heritage Manor. Funeral
services will be 2pm or 3pm Sunday at Miles Martin Funeral Home. Burial

after 10am Sunday. Hazel was born June 8, 1916 in Candler, North Carolina
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gaston and Carrie (Morgan) Lance. She has
been a resident of Flint area for 44 years. Until her retirement she worked
as a waitress first at Flint Original Coney Island, then US Coney Island
and then Angelo's. Surviving are her husband: K.S. Ayers; daughter: Peggy
and husband Jim Averill of Flint. 3 grandsons: Doug Averill of Flushing;
John and wife Shari Averill of Alanson; Jim and wife Lori Averill of Cheyenne,
WY. 2 grandaughters: Pat and husband Tom Coulter of Mt. Morris; Kim and
husband James Wolodkin of Hillsdale. 13 great grandchildren; 1 great great
grandson; sister: Myrtle Murrell of NC. brother: Dale Lance of NC. Numerous

Marie W. Luchenbill
Of Mt. Morris Twp., age 70, died Thursday, June 25, 1998 at her home.
There will be no viewing or visitation at the funeral home. Cremation has
already taken place. Maria was born November 26, 1927 in Germany. She and
Ford Henry Luchenbill were united in marriage on June 26, 1969 in Tawas.
Maria retired from Flushing Senior Lodging as a Nurse's Aide. She was Past
President and member of American Legion Auxiliary Post #342 in Flint. She
enjoyed being there with all of the people. Surviving are husband Ford,
special son Billy and his daughter Alyssa Hobbs, Loving friends Joyce,
Chuck, and Jim Miller.
Felecia "Mylecia" Marie Simmons
of Mt. Morris, age 7, died Friday, June 19, 1998 at Hurley Medical
Center. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 23, 1998 at 2:00pm

was born February 3, 1991 in Flint, the daughter of Gary Lynn Simmons and
Amber Renee Hosmer. She would have entered the Second grade at Haas Elementery
School in Genesee. She played softball on Campbell's Truck and Auto, Inc.

OH, February 9, 1941. She resided in Michigan since 1955 after coming from
Missouri. She was member of Mt. Morris St. Mary Catholic Church. Surviving

Of Mt. Morris, age 71 died Tuesday June 16, 1998 at his home. Family
will receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home Friday from 10am
until 9pm. Saturday burial will take place at Flint Memorial Park with
military honors. He was born May 3, 1927, in Hoxie, Arkansas. He married
Freda Hunt on October 18, 1948. She preceded him in death. He was a Veteran
of US Navy during WWII and was a member of the American Legion Post #0158.
He was a former member of the Moose Lodge. He Retired 1983 from Fisher
Body Coldwater Road plant, Inventory Control in Shipping and receiving.
Surviving are: daughter: Sheila Riggs of Mt. Morris. 4 sons: Dennis and
wife Janet Riggs of Owosso; Terry and wife Glenda Riggs of Lima, OH; David
and wife Peggy Riggs of Clio; Michael and wife Shirley Riggs of Montrose.

Of Mt. Morris, age 83 died Sunday, June 14,1998 at Genesys Hospice
in Goodrich. Funeral Services will take place 10AM Wednesday, June 17,
1998 from St. Mary Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Raymond Urbanek officiating.
Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at Miles Martin Funeral Home

1914 in Hubbell, MI, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred and Antoinette
(Frenette) Belanger. She and John Trzil were united in marriage October
4, 1941 at All Saints Catholic Church in Flint. He preceded her in death
June 8, 1994. Mrs. Trzil was a member of St. Mary Church in Mt. Morris.
Surviving are: 5 children, John A. and wife Loraine Trzil of Mt. Morris,
Lawrence D. and wife Sharron Trzil of Manistique, Joan Pnacek of Mt. Morris,
Loretta Swanson of Clio, and Delores Crespo of Gulliver; 15 grandchildren;
9 great-grandchildren; several nieced and nephews; She was preceded in
death by her parents, 3 brothers, Homer Belanger, Edward Belanger, Roy

time of funeral at 11am. Born March 12, 1904 at Newburg, Scotland the son
of Mr. and Mrs. William and Margaret (Butchart) Logan. He and Queenie Brown
were united in marriage August 21, 1934. She preceded him in death May
10, 1998. He retired from Life Insurance Sales with Metropolitan Life Insurance
serving from 1929-1988. Scotty came to USA at age 17 in 1921 moving to
Flint, then coming to Mt. Morris in 1936. He was a member of Mt. Morris
First United Methodist Church, Mt. Morris Chapter #474 OES, Genesee Valley
Commandery #15, Royal Arch Masons and Mt. Morris Lodge #535 F&AM. He
was Past President of Clio Rotary Club and been a member since 1934. Scotty
was guided by helping and serving others during his life. During WWII he
organized teen dances following high school football and basketball games
in Mt. Morris and Clio. When his daughter Rosemary died August 20, 1953
he constructively dealt with his loss by sharing Rosemary's love of water
with other children by organizing swimming classes of Haskell Community
Center pool until 1956. More than 1200 children learned to swim from these
programs. For many years he worked with the local Boy Scout Troop 107 at
St. Mary's and was awarded Scouting's highest honor Silver Beaver award
from the Tall Pine Council in 1969. He counseled for merit badges in salesmanship
and public speaking for scouting. Scotty, despite his not liking the spotlight
received many honors through the years. He served as school PTA president,
and program chairman of his church. In 1973 he formed the Harvest Years
group for Senior Citizens at Mt. Morris First United Methodist Church.
Michigan's D.N.R. awarded him a Certificate of Merit and United Way awarded
him 1989 unsung hero award. Mt. Morris Community inducted him into it's
Hall of Honor . To quote Scotty "Service above self, If you keep busy,
you can keep healthy". Surviving are: Brother-in-law: Elmer McGriff. Great
Niece: Dr. Andrea Cross. Scotty was 1 of 8 children all have preceded him
in death. He was also preceded in death by daughter and wife.
Formerly of Flint, age 51 died Thursday June 11, 1998 at U of M Hospital
Ann Arbor. Cremation has taken place. Burial services will take place in
Ohio at a later date. He was born in Crestline, Ohio on January 20, 1946
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur and Elsie (Jones) Goins. He married Marilyn
Jane Weimer. Surviving are wife; Marilyn, 4 children; William Weimer, Robert
Goins, Christina Goins, Scott Goins, 3 grandchildren; 7 brothers and sisters;

of Mt. Morris, NW Genesee Twp., age 91 years and 6 months, died Monday
June 8, 1998 at Genesys Regional Medical Cntr. in Grand Blanc Twp., MI.
She was born on Decemeber 20, 1906 in Michalkovice Czechoslovakia the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Peter and Magdalena (Mieszaniecova') Pardyl. Visitation
will be from 11am Thursday June 11, 1998 until time of funeral services
at 1pm. from Miles Martin Funeral Home, Mt. Morris Rd. between Dort Hwy
(M-54) and Saginaw Rd. Mt. Morris East city limits. Burial will follow
at Woodlawn Cemetery on Clio Rd (Mill St) between Vienna Rd (M57) and Wilson
Rd., Clio South city limits.
Surviving are: 2 daughters: Margaret Kozlowski of Mt. Morris, and Dr.
Virginia Posey and husband Stephen of Oro Valley, NE Pima County, AZ. Grand-daughter:
Amala Posey of Oro Valley. 3 nephews; 6 great nieces; 3 great nephews;
35 cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Tytus

Phyllis "MiMi" Eleanor Nave
of Flint, age 82 died Friday June 5, 1998 at Genesys Health Park after
an extended illness. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 8, 1998

in Flint, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Audley E. And Winifred B. (Lewis)
Richards. She retired March 1, 1975 from AC Spark Plug Division. Mimi,
as she was known to her family, was a loving, compassionate, strong willed
women who had a profound influence on all who knew her. She will be sadly

Helen Jeanette Patterson
Age 79, of Mt. Morris, died Tuesday, June 2, 1998 at Heritage Manor
Nursing Care Center. Funeral services will take place 10:00am, Friday,
June 5, 1998 from the Miles Martin Funeral Home. Douglas Klein officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home all
day Thursday, family will be present to receive friends from 9-2pm and
4-9pm. Mrs. Patterson was born October 14, 1918 in Matchwood, Michigan
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis and Sophie (Niemi) Simonson. She and
Ralph Lewis Patterson were united in marriage October 18, 1947. He preceded
her in death October 18, 1997. Helen retired from AC Spark Plug Division
August 1974 after 30 years of service. After her retirement, she worked
at Moore Elementary school as a "Grandma."
Surviving are: Daughter Gloria Burkett; 3 Grandchildren Karen, Kelly,
and Kevin; Cousin Hjalmar "Vaughn" and wife Garnett Mattson of Monroe;

and Mrs. Gottlieb and Mathilde (Steinke) Matz. He and Wanda Krumrueck were
married January 30, 1930. She preceded him in death 1945. He married Albertine
Kuehn 1948. She preceded him in death November 3, 1978. He and Lydia Krause
were united in marriage April 29, 1982. He was resident of Frankenmuth
since August 9, 1993 where he was member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church
in Frankenmuth. Otto came to the USA 1951 to the Detroit area where he
worked for Hoover Tool & Die retiring in 1971. After retirement he
moved to Largo, FL living there for 21 years. Surviving are his wife: Lydia
his 3 sons: Edward and wife Lucille Matz of Black River; Bruno and wife
Christa Matz of West Bloomfield; Leo and wife Sherry Matz of Rochester
Hills. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, stepchildren, and step
grandchildren. Also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded
in death by his parents, 2 wives, and daughter Helene.
