Catherine Grace (Hungerford) Garman 

Age 93, of Davison died Saturday December 31, 1999 at Willowbrook Manor. Funeral service will take place Tuesday January 4, 2000 11am at Miles Martin Funeral home in Mt. Morris, Rev. Richard Cook officiating. Burial at Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday 4-9pm, and Tuesday 9am until the time of service. In leiu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church or Hospice of Intergrated Health services. Catherine was born in Mt. Carroll, Illinois on September 11, 1906, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice John and Bernice (Nelson) Hungerford. She was a resident of Mt. Morris for many years and was active in the Girl Scouts there. She and Ray Garman were united in marriage April 12, 1927. She was a member of Mt. Morris Baptist Church. She also owned and operated Burns Dairy Bar in Mt. Morris with her husband Ray for many years. Survivors include 5 Children : Ray B. and wife Millie Garman Jr. of Davison; Bethy and husband Howard Talleau of Flint; Dorothy A. Hoff of Clio; Norma F. and husband Harold H. Carnahan of Fenton; Linda K. and husband Roger Morgan of Clio; 15 Grandchildren; 27 Great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; She had 5 brothers only 1 survives: Vaughn E. Hungerford of Mt. Carroll, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, her husband Ray on January 28, 1982, and son Bobby in 1940. 

Bonnie Ziegler 

Age 67 of Vassar died Friday Dec. 31, 1999 at Saginaw St. Marys Hospital. Funeral services will be 2pm Tuesday from Martin Funeral Home, Clark Chapel-Vassar. Pastor Tim Bender officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the Martin Funeral Home 6-9pm Sunday, all day Monday, and 9am until time of funeral Tuesday. Memorials may be directed to, her church, Grace Lutheran Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Born February 3, 1932 in Gilford the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold and Mattie (Spencer) Riedel. She and Clare R. Ziegler were united in marriage April 24, 1949. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and retired from Caro Regional Center with 28 years service. Surviving are : husband Clare Mother: Mattie Riedel of Gilford 5 children: Bob and wife Meg Ziegler; Mark Ziegler; Larry Ziegler; Tim Ziegler all of Vassar; and Debbie and husband Don Collins of Bradenton, FL. 10 grandchildren: Scott; Angie and husband Adam; Lance and wife Amy; Justin; Mandy; Matt; Cory; Jennifer; Stephanie; and Ryan. brother: Jack and wife Charlotte Riedel of Vassar. sister: Jacqueline and husband Virgil Spencer of Vassar. numerous nieces and nephews. 

George A. McKenzie 

Age 68, of Burton died Friday December 31, 1999 at home. Funeral Service will be 1:30PM Tuesday January 4, 2000 at Miles Martin Funeral Home. Pastor Bob Burkey officiating, Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends Sunday 6-9pm and 9am-9pm Monday, 9am-1:30PM Tuesday until the time of service. George was born December 17, 1931, in Flint, MI the son of Mr. and Mrs. George T. And Beulah M. (Fillion) McKenzie. He graduated from G.M.I., George and Dolores were united in marriage October 5, 1953. He served in the navy. He worked for Schafers Bakery for 34 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include: Wife Dolores of Burton; 3 children: Kathy and husband Tracy Wilkinson of Burton; Jim and Michelle McKenzie of Burton; Joan McKenzie of Flint; Grandchildren Tammy Baldwin, and Wyatt Wilkinson, Kelly and Keith McKenzie; great grandson Christopher; sister: Audrey McKenzie of Mt. Morris; and best friend Angel. 

Helen M. Freeland 

Of Vassar, Age 72, died Friday December 31, 1999 at her home. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday from Grace Lutheran Church, 885 Saginaw, Vassar Pastor Tim Bender will officiate. Mrs. Freeland will remain at Martin Funeral Home-Vassar where friends may call from 3-9pm Monday. Tuesday morning she will be taken to church to lie in state from 10am until time of service at 11am. Memorials may be considered for Hospice For Bay Area. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Born May 26, 1927 in Pontiac the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Luther and Elizabeth M. (McCormick) Lawrence. She was a graduate of Lapeer High School Class of 1945. She and Everett J. Freeland were united in marriage November 8, 1946. Mrs. Freeland was a lifelong seeker of knowledge to educate others, evidence by the donation of her body to UofM Medical School and Research. She enjoyed traveling, painting, gardening, reading, and crafts. She attended numerous classes through Mott Foundation and Mott Community College. Surviving are husband: Everett; 5 daughters: Dianne and husband Lou Giordano of New Jersey; Judith and husband Rob Johnson of Clare; Nancy and husband Carl Rybarczyk of Edgerton, WI.; Linda and husband David Bewley of Frankenmuth; Lori Freeland of Vassar; 6 grandchildren: Mark Lanway; Brian Lanway; Chad Johnson; Lisa Johnson; Brandon Bewley; Brian Bewley; 2 great grandchildren: Jared Lanway; Misha Lanway; Sister: Betty Phillips of Gladwin; Numerous nieces and nephews. 

Patrick Talley 

Age 32, of Burton died Friday December 31, 1999 from medical complications at Hurley Medical Cntr. Funeral services will be held 1:30pm Monday from St. Mary Catholic Church, Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Raymond Urbanek officiating. Patrick will remain at the Miles Martin Funeral Home where friends may call after 12noon Sunday. At 7:30pm Sunday Patrick's family, parish, and friends will gather at the funeral home for a Scripture service. Memorials may be directed to Michigan Head Injury Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. He was born February 26, 1967 in Flint the son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond and Martha (Swales) Talley. He graduated from Bently High School Class 1985. He entered US Army serving 2 years with tours at Ft. Bliss Texas and Germany. Crystal Catherine Schroeder-Morgan 

Age 74 of Flint died Thursday December 30, 1999 at Genesys Hospice. Family will receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home from 1-3pm Monday followed by funeral services at 3pm. Born August 28, 1925 in Muskegon. Surviving are her daughter: Leisa K. Schroeder ; grand-daughter: Dana Schroeder. 

Joseph H. Vincent 

Of Clio, age 83 died Thursday December 30, 1999 at McLaren Regional Medical Cntr. Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday from Miles Martin Funeral Home. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Mr. Vincent was born in Ionia Cnty., Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Henry and Blanche Bell (Cobb) Vincent. He and Lois Jane Berry were united in marriage December 14, 1945 in Farwell. He was a veteranof WWII serving with the US Army 1942-1945. He was a Lifemember of Davison VFW#4087. Retired 1978 F. J. Boutell Driveaway with 28 years service as a truck driver. Age 90, of Mt. Morris, died Tuesday December 28, 1999 at Kith Haven. Funeral services will be 10:30 am from Miles in Funeral Home. Pastor James F. Thomas officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home 4:00 to 9:00 pm. on wednesday and 9:00 am to 10:30 am Thursday. She was born February 21, 1909 in Granite Oklahoma the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William and Susie (Fox) Romines. She and Russell Lewis were united in marriage January 29, 1929 in Toledo, Ohio. He preceded her in death July 13, 1986. Mrs. Lewis retired in 1970 as Mt. Morris Township Clerk with 17 years of service. She was active with Beecher High School PTA and during WWII She served as air raid warden. More recently she was active with the Mt. Morris Township Senior Cititzens. She was a chater member of Faith United Methodist Church. Surviving are: 2 daughters: Barbara Pray of Plymouth; Norma and husband William Mueller of Swartz Creek; son: David and wife Debbie Lewis of Flint; 5 Grandsons: Michael Pray; Patrick Pray; Doug Mueller; John Mueller; Gary Mueller; 4 great grandchildren: Ali; Candy; Emmi and Dylan. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; brother: Harvey Romines; 2 sisters: Pauline Hatchew and Mary Melton. 

Josephine E. Harburn 

Age 81, of Flint died Tuesday December 28, 1999 at Kith Haven. Funeral Service will be held 1pm Thursday December 30, 1999 at Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Mrs. Harburn will remain at the funeral home where friends may call 5-9 Wednesday and 11-1 on Thursday. Pastor Richard Cook officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Josephine was born July 12, 1918 in Batavia, New York the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Mary Ellen (Horne) Strobridge. She and Frederick Harburn were united in marriage. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Harburn was a beautician for 10 years, she owned and operated her own shop. Survivors include: daughter: Sandra and husband Robert Schaefer of Ashville,NC.; 2 sons: Wesley Ronald and wife Joyce Harburn of West Branch; Gary and wife Janell Harburn of Oviedo, FL.; Grandchildren: Kelli; Kim; Leslie; Scott; Joe; Jonni; Debbie; Jim; Gene; Dawn; Michael; Sandra; and Cindy Jo; 8 Great Grand Children ; Special nephews: Gerald and wife Barbara Hall and Gerald and wife Nancy Harburn. Janell Uptegraff 

Of Mt. Morris age 92 died Sunday December 26, 1999 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday from Miles Martin Funeral Home. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home 11:00 am - 9:00 pm Tuesday. Born September 14, 1907 in Royalton, Illinois the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Bell and Maude (Talley) Davis. She and Lyle Uptegrafff were united in marriage in Davison April 11, 1933. He preceded her in death June 30, 1976. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Florida for over 10 years. Surviving are: nieces: Joan Jacobi of Davison and Ruth Ann Scharich of Davison; nephews: Talvis Davis of Lennon and Ray Uptegraff of Flint; several great nieces and great nephews and 5 great-great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Anna May and 2 brothers Major and Talvis. 

Douglas W. Durham 

Of Flushing, age 71, died December 26, 1999 at McLaren General Hospital. Family will gather at the Miles Martin Funeral Home on Friday December 31, 1999 at 3:00 pm then proceed to the Montrose Cemetery for committal at 3:30 pm. He was born on December 14, 1928 in Marion, NC., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jessie and Jessie (Martin) Durham. He married Mary F. Hoyle on August 7, 1986 she preceded him in death on November 20, 1997. He retired from Mar-Care A.F.C home which he owned and operated with Mary his wife. 

Roger Ivan Kenworthy 

Age 41, of Mt. Morris died Christmas Day, Saturday, December 25, 1999 at his home. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday from Miles Martin Funeral Home. Rev. Fr. Raymond Urbanek officiating. Burial Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home 6-9pm Monday and on Tuesday from 9:00 am until time of funeral at 11:00 am. Born March 13, 1958 in Flint the son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Charles and Edna Mary (Horton) Kenworthy. He and Kimberly Rothenstine were united in marriage January 30, 1981. He served in the US Marine Corps 1976 - 1979. Life member of North American Hunt Club and Ducks Unlimited. Formerley employed at James Lumber Co. Clio Rd. yard and more recently from Creative Foam. Surviving are: wife Kimberly; 3 children: Anthony; Paul; and Nichole; father: Francis Charles Kenworthy of Flushing; 10 brothers and sisters: Gloria & Red Gendre; Donna & Roger Sadler; David & Vicky Kenworthy; Mike & Ramona Kenworthy; Pat & Tim Reynolds; Fran & George Beebe; Allen & Sue Kenworthy; Barb & Dave Wiseman; Gail & Paul Bumgard; Dean & Tina Kenworthy; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother August 1987. 

Coral Genevieve (Cragg) Turner
Of Saginaw, age 93 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer and Mary (Miller) Cragg was born on July 23, 1907 in Gilford, Michigan. She passed away at Tender Care Nursing Home on December 25, 1999. Coral graduated from Vassar High School and from Cleary Business College in Ypsilant. After graduation she worked at Detroit and Pigeon for several years until she returned to help her parents on their farm. Both her parents preceded her in death. She married Leonard Turner May 9, 1942. He passed away September 9, 1965. Coral had been an active member of Gilford United Methodist Church as long as her health permitted her to do so. She lived at her home from the time of her birth until her last illness. She leaves to mourn her loss, several cousins, nephews and nieces and special friend LaVanne Richards who Coral highly respects. Funeral services will be held at Martin Funeral Home - Fairgrove on Tuesday December 28, 1999 at 1 pm, with burial at Brookside Cemetery , Pastor Jan Prestrue minster of Countryside Trinity Church of Saginaw officiating. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 6pm -9pm on Monday and 9am until service at 1pm on Tuesday.

Barbara was born May 14, 1921 in Wyandott, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John and Barbara ( Kuklesach) Erdoby

He was born in Perry, Arkansas on June 27, 1918 the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ides and Eva (Hubbard) Archer. He and Betty A. Richey were united in marriage on November 22. 1967. He retired in 1980 from Flint Board of Education, he worked maintance throughout the Flint Schools. Surviving are wife: Betty; 2 daughters: Mary and husband Tom Rasmussen of Millington; Celia and husband Steve Bowman of Clio; 2 sons: Jimmie and wife Karen Jones of Montrose; Athern Jr. and wife Susan Archer of Millington; 6 grandchildren: Tony Wood; Brandon Gregory; Amber Gugin; Nicole Lynn Jones; Lyndsey Archer; Jennifer Bowman; 2 sisters and 1 brother: Dovie George of Ark.; Mattie Minner and Thurman Archer both of IL. He was preceded in death by parents 8 brothers and sisters. 

Neil T. Allen
Age 88 of Flint died Monday December 20, 1999 at McLaren Hospice. Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday from St. Matthew Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Frederick Taggart officiating. Burial in St. John Catholic Cemetery in Davison. Mr. Allen will remain at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris where friends may call Wednesday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Thursday morning Mr. Allen will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00am until time of funeral Mass at 11:00am. Wednesday evening parish, friends and family will assemble at the funeral home to pray the Rosary at 7:00pm. Memorials may be directed to Preserving Our Treasure - St. Matthew's, or Mclaren Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. He was born June 18, 1911 in Mt. Morris the son of Mr. and Mrs. Schuyler and Nellie (O'Neil) Allen. He and Dorothy Purcell were united in marriage June 23, 1941. Mr. Allen was a licenesed building contractor in the Flint area for many years. During WWII he worked for AC Spark Plug Division. Neil was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Flint, the Burton and Pierce Park Senior Citizens and the Kearsley Senior Golf League. He was a former member of the Davison Country Club, and also the Flint Eagles Club. Surviving are his wife: Dorothy; 2 sisters: Margaret Dolloff of Clio; and Robalee Monroe of Millington. Several nieces and nephews. Dorthy wants to give special thank you to Neil's family. 

Sybl Jo Noyce
Age 67, of Clio, died Monday December 20, 1999 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral service will take place 1:00 PM Thursday December 23, 1999 at the East Flint Church of the Nazarene. Family will receive friends Wednesday 9-9 at Miles Martin Funeral home and Thursday at East Flint Church of the Nazarene, 3515 N. Belsay Rd. in the family Life Center 10AM-until the time of service. Pastor Daryl Blank officiating. Burial at Crestwood Cemetery. Sybl was born January 8, 1932 in Hammond, Oklahoma the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carol and Gladys V. (Stout) Burgess. Sybl married Raymond Noyce on June 26, 1948. He preceded her in death on August 5, 1992. She was a member of the East Flint Church of the Nazarene since 1955. She was a Past President of the Missionary Society, Church Treasurer, a Sunday school teacher, played piano and organ for the church for several years, a Boy Scout leader for 10 years and a Girl Scout leader for several years. Survivors include: Son: Lee Wayne & wife Linda Noyce of Oscoda, MI.; Son: Ronald & wife Kathryn Noyce, of Clio, MI.; Daughter: Virginia (Ginger) & husband David McIntyre of Mt. Morris, MI.; Mother: Gladys V. Burgess of St. Helen, MI.; Brother: C. Wayne & wife Audrey Burgess of St. Helen, MI.; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; Numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews. 

James Douglas Marcou 

Of Burton age 51 died Sunday December 19, 1999 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday from Miles Martin Funeral Home. Bruce Badder officiating. Cremation will follow. Friends may call at the funeral home 6-9pm Monday 9am-9pm Tuesday. Born May 20, 1948 in Flint the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo and Leona (Hemstreet) Marcou. He and Kathy Stewart were united in marriage April 20, 1968. He thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing. Retired Chevrolet V-8 as machine operator with 30 years service. He was a loving father, "Pappa" and husband. Surviving are: wife Kathy; 2 Children: Amy Crane of Flint; James D. II and wife Raquel Marcou of Clio; 2 grandchildren: Kerstin ad Tyler. Brothers and sisters: Richard and wife Helen Marcou of Lake; Beverly and husband Al West of Lake; Diane Morris of Clio; Sharon Robinson of Genesee; David and wife Theresa Marcou of Chesaning; Mother and father -in-law: Phyllis and Norman Stewart of Benzonia; Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Lynne Cummer; Lee and wife Robin Stewart; Brian and wife Debby Stewart; Cheryl and husband Tim Brown; Patricia Stewart. Vincent "Willie" Oprea 

Died Saturday afternoon December 18, 1999 at his residence. Age 77, he was born October 30, 1922 in Detroit. He married Edith Louise Lockhart June 21, 1947. Willie was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Elf Khurafeh Shrine, Vassar Masonic Lodge #163 F & AM, and a charter member of the Vassar Eagles #2380. He had also been inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame. He had been employed at Eaton Mfg. Co. for 17 ½ years and also owned and operated Hill Top Recreation for 30 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and many other outdoor activities and had been a private pilot for 53 years. He also shared his arrowhead collection with many. He is survived by his wife Edith of Vassar: 2 Sons: John Charles and Joyce Oprea of Lapeer; Jerry Vincent and Karen Oprea of Bay City; 3 Grandchildren: Kari, Chris and Andrew Oprea. Also 1 Sister: Rose Baxter of Drummond Island. Many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a Grandson Anthony Oprea and 4 Brothers, George, John Andy, and Tony Oprea. Funeral service will take place 11:00 AM Wednesday December 22, 1999 at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar with Pastor Tim Bender officiating with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Patrica A. Hewins
Age 69 of Mt. Morris died Thursday December 16, 1999 at her home. Funeral services will be held at Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris, Monday December 20, 1999 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Fr. Raymond Urbanek officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may call the funeral home Saturday 6-9pm and Sunday 12noon-9pm. Parish and family will gather at the funeral home Sunday evening to pray the rosary at 7:45 pm and Monday 9am until the time of service. Patricia was born in Genesee, Michigan on May 15, 1930 daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George and Blanch (Chapel) Dewitt. Mrs. Hewins worked for Dr. Ricahrd Rapport for 40 years as a medical secretary. Patricia married Clark Hewins on November 13, 1948. She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Surviving are husband: Clark Hewins of Mt. Morris; brother: Bob (Edwin) Dewitt of Birch Run; sisters: Bernice Monroe of Florida; Helen Roth of Flint; Revena and husband Don McLaughlin of Lansing; Eleanor Thompson of Flint; many nieces and nephews and many great neices and nephews; and many friends. 

Gerald D. "Bud" Glassburn 

Of Mt. Morris age 67 died Thursday December 16, 1999 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be 7:00pm Sunday evening at Miles Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Fr. Raymond Urbanek officiating. Cremation will follow. Friends may call at the funeral home 6-9pm Saturday and 9:00 am until time of services at 7:00 pm. on Sunday. He was born January 7, 1932 in Flint the son of Mr. and Mrs. A.C. and Marjorie (Tetters) Glassburn. He was a veteran of US Army Paratroops, 187th Airborne during the Korean conflict from 1952 - 1954. He and Barbara L. Lane were united in marriage April 29, 1978. He was a lifemember of Davison VFW Post #4087. He retired 1985 from Hamady Brothers Supermarket as a meat cutter at Mt. Morris store. Surviving are wife: Barbara; 7 children: Theresa Kline of Clio; Timothy and wife Mary Glassburn of Clio; David and wife Cheri Glassburn of Davison; Stephen Glassburn of Owosso; Patricia and husband David Staab of Flint; Gerri L. Brotherton of Flint; Sandra L. and husband Robert Yaklin of Grand Blanc. 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; 3 sisters: Betty and husband Roy Martin of Mt. Morris; Paula and husband Ron Plew of Mt. Morris; Lorna and husband Gordon Stebbins of Indiana; 2 brothers: Verl and wife Jan Glassburn of Oregon; Douglas and wife Patricia Glassburn of Mt. Morris; several nieces and nephews. 

Gertye Loyce Lee-Folsom 

Age 93, of Flint, died Wednesday, December 15, 1999 at Briarwood Manor. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday from Miles Martin Funeral Home with Pastor Ronald Emmerling officiating. Burial in Woodland Cemetery in Campbell, MO. Friends may call at the Miles Martin Funeral Home 6-9 pm on Friday. Mrs. Lee-Folsom will be taken to Campbell, MO to the Landess Funeral Home for Visitation on Monday from 6-9 pm. Funeral services will be held at the Landess Funeral Home at 1:00 pm with burial to follow. She was born on July 22, 1906 in Houston, AR., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Clyde and Mary Catherine (Madox) Rainwater. She married James Harvey Lee who preceded her in death in 1964. Surviving are her 8 children: 4 sons: LaVaughn and wife Joan Lee of Genesee; James and wife Rosemary Lee of Florida; Duane and wife Sandra Lee of Missouri; Joe and wife Betty Lee of Kentucky; 4 daughters: Doris Jean and husband Pat Williams of Flint; Jacqueline and husband Jack Blakemore of Flint; Montene Hewitt of Davison; Kathy Dunscombe of Flint; 24 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers , 4 sisters, and 1 granddaughter. 

Kristina Hamilton 

Of Mt. Morris, age 33 died Thursday December 9, 1999. Family will receive friends at the funeral home all day Sunday. Funeral services will be 12 noon Monday from Miles Martin Funeral Home. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Born September 21, 1966 in Flint the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold A. and Cynda (Hadd) Hamilton. She was Director of the Little People Learning Center. Surviving are: daughter: Danielle Kay DeVoe; mother and stepfather: Cynda and husband Jerry Glynn of Clio; father: Harold A. Hamilton of Pt. Charlotte, FL.; fiancé: Ted Campbell and his 2 children, Kristopher and Meghan; brother: Scott and wife Karen Hamilton of Lapeer; grandparents: Wilma "Billie" Hadd of Clio; Merle Hamilton of Mt. Morris; 2 aunts and 1 uncle: Margaret Hamilton; Jerry and wife Linda Hamilton; Linda and husband Mel Buhl; nephew: Justin Hamilton; cousins: Callie and husband Steve; Holly and Matt; Cory; Curt; and Cary. Numerous special and close friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Raymond Hadd and grandmother Alice Hamilton. 

Karen Barley
Of Flint, age 40, died Friday December 3, 1999 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral service will take place 1:00 pm December 8, 1999 from Miles Martin Funeral Home. Friends may call Tuesday 6 pm-9 pm, and Wednesday 9 am until service. Karen was born June 20, 1959 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Robert and Patricia (Jones) Barley. Survivors : both parents, sisters: Ruth and husband Brad Ballard; Debi and husband Mike Stephenson; brothers: Bob Barley; Tom Barley; several nieces & nephews, Several special friends from Kimberly Oaks Home. 

Barabra Elayne Rice
Age 67 of Mt. Morris, died Thursday December 2, 1999 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral Service will take place 1pm Saturday December 4th at St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Flint, Fr. Loren McClanahan officiating. Burial in Texas, through Ted Dickey Funeral Home. Friends may call Miles Martin Funeral home Saturday 10AM until 12 noon . Prayers will be at the funeral home at 12 noon then proceed to church. Barbara was born June 10, 1932 in Fall River, MA. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John and Dorothy (Leonard) Feilding. Barbara was a foster parent for many years, always trying to help children. She was a member of St. Paul's, a life long Episcopalian, and a former member of the Eastern Star. Survivors include: Daughters Vardis and husband Fred Gaus of Mt. Morris; Valerie and husband Clayton Morgan of Golden Valley, Arizona; Veronica and husband Richard Peck of Longwood, FL; son: Victor Rice and wife Sarah of Taunton, Massachusettes; 8 grandchildren ; 2 great grandchildren; 3 sisters and 1 brother. She was preceded in death by husband Lindsey Rice January 19, 1979.
