Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, December 3, 1999 at 3:00
pm at Mt. Morris Cemetery. There will be no visitation. He was born in
Watertown, Michigan on August 23, 1939 the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton
and Pauline (Kinny) Allen. He was the beloved husband of Paula E. Allen.
Survivors include: Son: Jerry Allen; Daughter Deby and Husband Shawn Tidball;
Son: Cory Lee Allen; 4 grandchildren; and sister: Dawn Lamb.

Age 83, of Genesee Township died November 29, 1999 at home. Funeral

and Roxie Annie (Wickline) Riffe. He was a member of the Baptist Faith
Church. John and Zelda Ruth were united in marriage on August 7, 1943.
Survivors include: wife Zelda Ruth of Genesee Twp.; 5 Children: Melvin
and wife Virginia Riffe of Rock Camp, WV.; Jim Riffe of Clio; Betty and
husband Mike Stiers of Teledo, OH.; Peggy and husband Richard Knox of Capac,
MI.; Anna Hammond and Clark Rathbun of Montrose; 19 Grandchildren; 6 great

Of Mt. Morris, Age 87, died Saturday, November 27, 1999 at McLaren Hospital
Regional Medical Center Funeral services will be held at St. Mary Catholic
Church on Wednesday December 1, 1999 at 11:00am,. Rev. Fr. Raymond Urbanek
officiating with burial in Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call on Monday
from 6-9 pm and Tuesday from 9am to 9pm. Parish and family will gather
at 7:30pm Tuesday to pray the Rosary followed by an Knights of Columbus
service at 8:00 p.m. On Wed morning family and friends will gather at the
funeral home for prayers and then proceed to church for Holy Mass at 11:00

Morris on January 6, 1912 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin H. And Helen
(Barber) Thompson. She married Bernard G. Deloney in Flint on July 27,
1929. He preceded her in death in 1979. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic
Church in Mt. Morris, and Mt. Morris Senior Citizens. She enjoyed listening
to Country Music. Surviving are: 2 children: Bernard A. "Hap"and wife Geneva
Deloney of Tawas, Michigan; Alyce Kozlowski of Montrose; daughter-in-law:
Evelyn Garlinghouse of Olympia, WA.; son-in-laws: William and Theresa Douglas
of Missouri; Ted Kozlowski of Chesaning; 15 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren;
2 great great grandchildren; brother: Alvin and (Evelyn) Thompson of Olympia,
WA.; Several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by 4 children
: Gerald Dale Deloney, William Alvin Deloney, James Leo Deloney; and Elsie

Alpena Michigan the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Archie and Frances (Callahan)
McLean. Vivian married John Grenier October 18, 1932. She retired from
Sears after many years of service, also she was a life member of the Rebecca
lodge of Rose City. She and John retired to Lake City, until returning
to Mt. Morris area in 1985. Survivors, Daughters: Shirley and husband Gerald
McLachlan; Marifrances "BeBe" and husband Bill Butterworth; Diane Serbert;
Marion and husband Duane Hammond. 23 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren;
7 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded
in death by both parents, husband John, 2 sons Bill and Jack.

Eugene Victor Figgins
age 74 of Mt. Morris, went to be with his Lord Tuesday November 23,
1999 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral service will take place 1:00 pm Friday,
November 26, 1999 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home, Rev. George Warson
and Rev. Don O'Leary officiating with burial in Flint Memorial Park, under

Eugene was born June 11, 1925 in Custer Michigan, the son of Harry L. And
Della G. (Hawks) Figgins. He married Iva M. Smith on April 26, 1949. He
served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the Davison
VFW Post #4087. Prior to his retirement in 1982, he had been employed for
General Motors Ternstedt Division for 30 years. He was also a member of
Union Local #326. He is survived by his wife Iva Figgins, sons, Douglas
and (Linda) Figgins of Davison, Stephen and (Jennie) Figgins of Burton,
daughters Kristine and (Thomas) Miller of Columbiaville, Deborah and (Dennis)
Ward of Flint; grandchildren David, Scott and Danny Figgins, Joseph and
Jeremy miller, Zachary Ward, Lindsay and Katie Figgins; 7 great-grandchildren;

She was married to Timothy Roberts who preceded her in death. She then
married George A. Wark who also preceded her in death. Mrs. Wark was employed
by Navy/Defoe Shipping, Miami Veteran's Hospital and Saginaw Veteran's
Hospital where she retired. She was a member of VFW Post 7468 Auxiliary.
Mrs. Wark was a avid traveler, active with Church of Christ, enjoyed bowling
and volunteered at Akron/Fairgrove Elementary School. Left to cherish her
memory are 6 children: Clayton D. And wife Lila Roberts of Bay City; Beverly
J. And husband Alton Hawley of Akron; Hobert J. And wife Joanne Roberts
of Houghton Lake; Dennis F. And wife Ruth Roberts of Akron; George A. And

Joseph Edward Fallon
Died Monday November 15, 1999 at home in Mt. Morris Township. Memorial
Service will be held 11:00 am Thursday November 18, 1999 at St. Mary's
Catholic Church in Mt. Morris, Burial to follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Joseph was a World War II Veteran, he served in the Navy from 1939-1945.
He had worked for Simms Chevrolet in Clio for 18 years then at Michael
LaFontaine Toyota before he retired in 1995. He was born on September 16,
1921 in Washington D.C., to John and Mary (Mc Donald) Fallon. He leaves
his wife of 54 years Geraldine, and his five children: Mary Ellen of Mt.
Morris; Rose Ann of Birmingham; Joseph of Marlette; Gerhard (Jerry) and
his wife Debra of Birch Run; and John of Mt. Morris; He had 4 grandchildren
and three great grandchildren. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents
and his brothers and one sister. We would like to thank McLaren Hospital
and Hospice for all their help.

then married John Mazurek March 11, 1993. She was a member of St. Mary
Catholic Church and was formerly employed with AC Spark Plug Division and
the Fahnstock Brokerage. Surviving are: her husand John; 2 brothers: Chester
Frania of Mt. Morris; Henry and wife Bertha Frania of Mt. Morris; Sister-in-law:
Anna Frania of Flushing; 6 nieces and nephews: Thomas and wife Kathy Frania
of Flushing; Patricia and husband Robert Sartor of Flushing; Deborah and
husband Al Robinson of Flushing; Cheryl and husband Bill Kern of Ohio;

date. Johnnie was born Dec. 31, 1926 Tenn. the son of Lawson and Elsie
(Goodwin)Campbell. Prior to his re- tirement in 1992 he had been employed
at Fisher Guide for 38 years. He served in the US Army and Navy during
the Korean War. He is survived by 1 Son and 1 Daughter: Bobby and wife
Dee Campbell of Clio, Tammy and husb. Mike Ruhl of Fraser, Michigan. 2

age 83 of Mt. Morris died Wendesday November 10, 1999 at Genesys Health
Park. Friends may call the funeral home Friday 1-9 pm and Saturday 9-9pm.
She will then be taken to Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggot, Arkansas
for services on Tuesday. Mrs. Smith was born Opal Baker, May 5, 1916 in
Providence Kentucky. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clio,
and taught in the Mt. Morris school system for over 15 years. She also
enjoyed gardening. Survivors include: Son: James Brady of Mt. Morris; Nephew
and Niece Hillard and Marie Wright. She was preceded in death by her husband
Johnnie R. Brady in 1972.
Age 105, Of Yorktown died Tuesday evening at The Waters of Yorktown
after a brief Illness. He was born in Saskatchewan, Canada, attended schools
there, moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1926, and later to Vassar, Michigan.
He was a supervisor for Eaton Manufacturing for 30 years until retiring
in 1959. He moved to Yorktown in 1996. Mr. Snider was a member of the Masonic
Lodge in Vassar, and attended Yorktown Church of the Nazarene. Surviving
are daughter: Clara and husband Albert Reif of Tavares, Florida; three
grandchildren: Mark and wife Elizabeth Reif of Texas; Craig and wife Tina
Reif of Yorktown; Dana and wife Kimberly Reif of Muncie; five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Wife Maria in 1989, his parents Phillip
and Barbara (Mundt) Schneider, three brothers, two sisters. Funeral Services
will be held 1:00 pm Friday November 12, 1999 in The Meeks Mortuary Chapel.
Friends may call at the mortuary one hour prior to services on Friday.
There will be a Masonic Grave side service 1:00 pm Monday at Eastlawn Memorial
Gardens in Vassar, Michigan with burial to follow.
Age 85, Of Barton City, died Tuesday November 9, 1999 at McLaren Hospital.

noon. He was born April 14, 1914 in Grayling, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred
C. and Margaret (Kennedy) Ding- man. He and Margaret Brown were united
in marriage February 12, 1934. He was a life member of Vienna Lodge #205.
He retired from Buick Motor Division, plant 36 after 36 years doing repair
and hot test. Surviving are wife: Margaret; Children: David and wife Madeline
Dingman of Clio; Nancy and husband Carl Rushton of Clio; Sally and husband
Charles Nachbar of Clio; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren;
several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 6 brothers and
sisters, Isabelle, Ellen, Anne, Beaulah, Glenn and Chuck.
Herman T. Hicks
Age 82 of Flint died Sunday November 7, 1999 at his residence. Funeral
service will take place 1:00 p.m. Thursday November 11, 1999 at the Ambassador
Baptist Church, Rev. Dale Lewis officiating with burial in Flint Memorial
Park. The family will receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home
6-9 p.m. Tue. 9-9 Wed. and at the church on Thursday from 12 Noon until
time of service at 1:00 p.m. Herman was born October 25, 1917 in Malden,
Missouri the son of Jessie and Nora Hicks. He married Mildred Santie in
1943. She preceded him in death in 1971. Herman was a member of the Ambassador
Baptist Church and served in the US Army during WWII. Prior to his retirement
he had been employed at Chevrolet Parts and Service Plant in Swartz Creek
for 22 years. He is survived by 1 daughter: Rita Burleson of Mt. Morris,
3 Grandchildren: John Burleson of Flint; Kandice and husband George Gower
of Oklahoma; Brandy Burleson of Mt. Morris; 1 Great Grandchild: Zachary
Gower of Oklahoma; 1 Sister: Belle Crockett of Piedmont, Missouri. He was
preceded in death by 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
Keith Glenn Montague
Of Clio, Age 86 died November 1, 1999 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral
Services will be held Friday, November 5, 1999 at the First Baptist Church
in Mt. Morris with Rev. Richard Cook officiating. Burial at Flint Memorial

from 12 noon until time of service at 1:00 pm. Keith was born August 29,
1913 the son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn and Ethel (Tinker) Montague. Keith married
Mildred Emerson on July 12. 1939 a union that lasted 55 years. Mr. Montague
was a farmer his entire life and volunteered at the First Baptist Church.
He also enjoyed the out of doors. He is survived by son: Raymond and wife
Emma Montague; 2 daughters: Virginia A. Black and Sabra Irene and husband
Bill Carman: 7 grandchildren: Andrew ; Lucas ; Michelle ; Aimee ; Amanda
; Phillip ; and David: 1 great grandchild: Caitlynn; many nieces and nephews;
