Of Mt. Morris, Age 60, passed away at home Tuesday, November 30, 1999. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, December 3, 1999 at 3:00 pm at Mt. Morris Cemetery. There will be no visitation. He was born in Watertown, Michigan on August 23, 1939 the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton and Pauline (Kinny) Allen. He was the beloved husband of Paula E. Allen. Survivors include: Son: Jerry Allen; Daughter Deby and Husband Shawn Tidball; Son: Cory Lee Allen; 4 grandchildren; and sister: Dawn Lamb. 

John Lewis Riffe
Age 83, of Genesee Township died November 29, 1999 at home. Funeral Service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday December 2, 1999 at Miles Martin Funeral Home with Pastor Mac Greene officiating. Family will receive friends 6-9pm Tuesday, 12-9pm Wednesday and Thursday 9am until time of service. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. John was born April 15, 1916 in Rock Camp, West Virginia the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Lewis and Roxie Annie (Wickline) Riffe. He was a member of the Baptist Faith Church. John and Zelda Ruth were united in marriage on August 7, 1943. Survivors include: wife Zelda Ruth of Genesee Twp.; 5 Children: Melvin and wife Virginia Riffe of Rock Camp, WV.; Jim Riffe of Clio; Betty and husband Mike Stiers of Teledo, OH.; Peggy and husband Richard Knox of Capac, MI.; Anna Hammond and Clark Rathbun of Montrose; 19 Grandchildren; 6 great grand children; many family members. Preceded in death by his Parents, Son William David, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. 

Elsie Emma Deloney

Of Mt. Morris, Age 87, died Saturday, November 27, 1999 at McLaren Hospital Regional Medical Center Funeral services will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church on Wednesday December 1, 1999 at 11:00am,. Rev. Fr. Raymond Urbanek officiating with burial in Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call on Monday from 6-9 pm and Tuesday from 9am to 9pm. Parish and family will gather at 7:30pm Tuesday to pray the Rosary followed by an Knights of Columbus service at 8:00 p.m. On Wed morning family and friends will gather at the funeral home for prayers and then proceed to church for Holy Mass at 11:00 am. Memorials may be directed to Crippled Children or the American Heart Assoc. Envelopes are available at the Funeral Home. She was born in Mt. Morris on January 6, 1912 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin H. And Helen (Barber) Thompson. She married Bernard G. Deloney in Flint on July 27, 1929. He preceded her in death in 1979. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris, and Mt. Morris Senior Citizens. She enjoyed listening to Country Music. Surviving are: 2 children: Bernard A. "Hap"and wife Geneva Deloney of Tawas, Michigan; Alyce Kozlowski of Montrose; daughter-in-law: Evelyn Garlinghouse of Olympia, WA.; son-in-laws: William and Theresa Douglas of Missouri; Ted Kozlowski of Chesaning; 15 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brother: Alvin and (Evelyn) Thompson of Olympia, WA.; Several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by 4 children : Gerald Dale Deloney, William Alvin Deloney, James Leo Deloney; and Elsie Helen Deloney and grandson Douglas and John Deloney. 

Vivian F. Grenier

Of Mt. Morris age 86 passed away Friday November 26, 1999 at home. Funeral services will take place at Miles Martin Funeral Home on Monday November 29, 1999 at 1:00 pm. Pastor Floyd Wehner to officiate. Friends may call Saturday 6-9pm and on Sunday 9 am-9 pm. Vivian was born June 16, 1913 in Alpena Michigan the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Archie and Frances (Callahan) McLean. Vivian married John Grenier October 18, 1932. She retired from Sears after many years of service, also she was a life member of the Rebecca lodge of Rose City. She and John retired to Lake City, until returning to Mt. Morris area in 1985. Survivors, Daughters: Shirley and husband Gerald McLachlan; Marifrances "BeBe" and husband Bill Butterworth; Diane Serbert; Marion and husband Duane Hammond. 23 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both parents, husband John, 2 sons Bill and Jack. 

Marilyn Florence Cooper

Age 61, of Vassar died Friday, November 26, 1999 at her home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 29, 1999 at Vassar First Baptist Church with Pastor Douglas Stockwell officiating. Burial at Millington Cemetery. Family will be present to receive friends at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar 6-9pm Saturday and 9am until 9pm Sunday. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to Vassar Baptist Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home or church. Mrs. Cooper was born November 25, 1938 in Vassar, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Rosanna (Summerfield) Ill. She and Wayne C. Cooper were united in marriage August 24, 1957 at Millington Baptist Church. She was a member of Vassar First Baptist Church and the choir. Left to cherish her memory are husband: Wayne; son: Terry and wife Theresa Cooper of Millington; five grandchildren: Christopher, Michael, Nicholas, Regina and Justina; mother: Rosanna Servis of Millington; brother: Cleo Ill of Millington; sister: Rosemary and husband Jim Childs of Bridgeport; special sister-in-law: Lorine Cooper of Saginaw; sisters-in-laws: Wavis Roberts, Karen Cooper, Mary Jane Gross all of Millington, Bernadine Korth of Grand Blanc; brother-in-law: Gary Cooper of Millington; friend: Helen Wellemeyer; many nieces and nephews. 

Barbara A. Muringer
Age 60, of Mt. Morris died Wednesday November 24, 1999 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral Service will take place 11:00 am Monday November 29, 1999 at Miles Martin Funeral Home with burial at Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends Saturday 6-9 pm, Sunday 9am-9pm, and Monday 9am until the service. Barbara was born in Mt. Morris Township, Michigan August 12, 1939 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William and Ann (Gray) Jansen. She was employed at Fisher Guide on Coldwater Road, with 30 years of service. Survivors include: Daughter: Rhonda Muringer of Flint; Son: Jeff and wife Crystal Muringer of Mt. Pleasant; Special family friend John Hall; 2 grandchildren; Mother: Ann; 2 sisters; and 1 brother. 

Eugene Victor Figgins
age 74 of Mt. Morris, went to be with his Lord Tuesday November 23, 1999 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral service will take place 1:00 pm Friday, November 26, 1999 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home, Rev. George Warson and Rev. Don O'Leary officiating with burial in Flint Memorial Park, under the direction of Davison VFW Post #4087. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, 6-9 pm, 9-9 Thursday, and Friday 9-1pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hilltop Church of God. Eugene was born June 11, 1925 in Custer Michigan, the son of Harry L. And Della G. (Hawks) Figgins. He married Iva M. Smith on April 26, 1949. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the Davison VFW Post #4087. Prior to his retirement in 1982, he had been employed for General Motors Ternstedt Division for 30 years. He was also a member of Union Local #326. He is survived by his wife Iva Figgins, sons, Douglas and (Linda) Figgins of Davison, Stephen and (Jennie) Figgins of Burton, daughters Kristine and (Thomas) Miller of Columbiaville, Deborah and (Dennis) Ward of Flint; grandchildren David, Scott and Danny Figgins, Joseph and Jeremy miller, Zachary Ward, Lindsay and Katie Figgins; 7 great-grandchildren; sister Joyce Livingston of Tawas, brothers Howard and (Doris) Figgins of Mt. Morris, Robert and (Betty) Figgins of Ludington.

Of Vassar, age 71, died Monday, November 22, 1999 at Covenant Medical Center - Cooper. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church in Vassar with Fr. John A. Ederer officiating. Burial in Tuscola Cemetery. Family will be present at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar to receive friends 6-9 pm Tuesday. There will be a Prayer Service 7:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Wednesday morning family and friends will gather at the funeral home for prayers at 10:35 a.m and then proceed to church for Mass of the Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Mrs. Yoder was born December 13, 1927 in Lafferty, Ohio, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley and Mary (Cooper) Krygrowski. A graduate of Flint Central High School and attended G.M.I. She and James were united in marriage July 17, 1954 in Flint. Surviving are: husband, James; 6 children: James and wife Marie Yoder of Davison; Raymond and wife Sandra Yoder of Phoenixville, PA.; Anna Lenzini of Indianapolis, IN,; Helen and husband Steve Hicks of Kalamazoo; John Yoder of Ft. Collins, CO.; Steve Yoder of Ft. Wayne, IN.; 6 grandchildren; brother: Edward and wife Helen Krygrowski of Flint; sister: Helen and husband Richard Felt of Florida; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 daughters Teresa and Mary Eleanor, parents and brother Richard. 

John Talmadge Smith

Age 77 of Mt. Morris, died Sunday November 21, 1999 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will take place 11 am Tuesday at Miles Martin funeral home, Mr. Curtis Watson officiating, burial at Sunset Hills. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 11am until 9pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Valley Christian Academy or the Alzheimer Association. Mr. Smith was born August 11, 1922 in Kennett, Missouri the son of Mr. and Mrs. William and LaVada (Tollison) Smith. J.T. and June were united in marriage May 22, 1945. J.T. served in WWII in the Marines, he received a purple heart. He was a member of Mt. Morris Church of Christ. Survivors include: wife June of Mt. Morris; 4 daughters: Sharon and husband Alec July of Traverse City; Carolyn and husband Timothy Kinney of Millington; Patti and husband Ted July of Otisville; Tammy and husband Ted Rogers of North Canton, OH.; Grandchildren: Matthew July, Michelle Mitchell; Brian Kinney; Stephanie Riley; Joel and Sarah July; Theo and Craig Rogers; Great Grand Children: Deanna and Katie July; Ian Mitchell; Brent Riley. preceded in death by his parents and grandson Nathan John Kinney. 

Donna VanDeBunt (Princing)
Age 75, formerly of Mt. Morris passed away Thursday November 18, 1999 at Henderson, NV. Memorial services to celebrate Donna's life will be 1:00pm Wednesday February 16, 2000 from Miles Martin Funeral Home. Cremation and burial of cremated remains have taken place. Irene Catherine Wark
Of Akron, Age 80, died Monday November 15, 1999 at Bay Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday at Martin Funeral Home in Fairgrove with Minister Richard Miller officiating. Burial in Demorest Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home 6-9 pm on Wednesday, 9-9 Thursday and 9am until time of services on Friday. Mrs. Wark was born on August 24, 1919 in Unionville the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hobart and Vera (Hayes) Ross. She was married to Timothy Roberts who preceded her in death. She then married George A. Wark who also preceded her in death. Mrs. Wark was employed by Navy/Defoe Shipping, Miami Veteran's Hospital and Saginaw Veteran's Hospital where she retired. She was a member of VFW Post 7468 Auxiliary. Mrs. Wark was a avid traveler, active with Church of Christ, enjoyed bowling and volunteered at Akron/Fairgrove Elementary School. Left to cherish her memory are 6 children: Clayton D. And wife Lila Roberts of Bay City; Beverly J. And husband Alton Hawley of Akron; Hobert J. And wife Joanne Roberts of Houghton Lake; Dennis F. And wife Ruth Roberts of Akron; George A. And wife Jean Wark of St. Petersburg, Fla.; Candace E. Wark of Chicago, ILL.; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister: Lena Krause of Caro; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, granddaughter Vikki-Jo Roberts and sister Helen Kassin. 

Joseph Edward Fallon
Died Monday November 15, 1999 at home in Mt. Morris Township. Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am Thursday November 18, 1999 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mt. Morris, Burial to follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Joseph was a World War II Veteran, he served in the Navy from 1939-1945. He had worked for Simms Chevrolet in Clio for 18 years then at Michael LaFontaine Toyota before he retired in 1995. He was born on September 16, 1921 in Washington D.C., to John and Mary (Mc Donald) Fallon. He leaves his wife of 54 years Geraldine, and his five children: Mary Ellen of Mt. Morris; Rose Ann of Birmingham; Joseph of Marlette; Gerhard (Jerry) and his wife Debra of Birch Run; and John of Mt. Morris; He had 4 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers and one sister. We would like to thank McLaren Hospital and Hospice for all their help. 

Emily Dwyer-Mazurek

Age 87 of Mt. Morris died Friday November 12, 1999 at Alterra Clare Bridge of Grand Blanc. Prayers 10:30am Monday at Miles Martin Funeral Home then proceed to St. Mary Catholic Church for Holy Mass at 11am. Rev. Fr. Raymond Urbanek officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Emily will remain at the Miles Martin Funeral Home where friends may call after 12 noon Sunday. Family friends and parish will gather at the funeral home Sunday evening for a scripture service at 7:00 pm. Born February 3, 1912 in Detroit the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas and Elenora (Wierzbiski) Frania. She and Robert VanBesler were united in marriage 1936. He preceded her in death 1957. She married Alfred Dwyer 1966. He preceded her in death 1985. She then married John Mazurek March 11, 1993. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and was formerly employed with AC Spark Plug Division and the Fahnstock Brokerage. Surviving are: her husand John; 2 brothers: Chester Frania of Mt. Morris; Henry and wife Bertha Frania of Mt. Morris; Sister-in-law: Anna Frania of Flushing; 6 nieces and nephews: Thomas and wife Kathy Frania of Flushing; Patricia and husband Robert Sartor of Flushing; Deborah and husband Al Robinson of Flushing; Cheryl and husband Bill Kern of Ohio; Mark and wife Val Frania of Flushing; Brian and wife Amy Frania of Troy; Several great nieces and great nephews; 1 great great niece and 1 great great nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands, and brother Joseph Frania December 14, 1998. A Special Thank you to the staff of Alterra Clare Bridge sections D, E, and F. 

Robert L. Henley
Of Flushing, Age 56, died November 11, 1999 at Genesys Health Park. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held Tuesday November 16, 1999 at Miles Martin Funeral home. Family will receive friends from 11:00 am until time of service at 3:00pm. He was born September 12, 1943 in Erwin, TN the son of Mr. and Mrs. Vance and Hazel (Macinturf) Henley. He worked at Buick for 36 years. He and Sylvia united in marriage July 26, 1976. Surviving are wife: Sylvia of Flushing; 7 children: Gail and husband Lance Bell of Texas; Stephen and wife Windi Henley of Flint; Ronald and wife Shana Prieur of Owosso; Kimberly Prieur of Port Huron; Julie and Scot McPherson of HA.; Tonya and Robert White of WA.; Danny Prieur of KS.; 13 grandchildren; Brother: Charles and wife Lorraine Henley of IN.; Sisters: Ruth Tipton and Charlott Tipton of TN. He was preceded in death by his parents sisters June, Shirley, brothers, Ernest , Ray, Jake and Howard. 

Johnnie Campbell

Age 71 of Mt. Morris, died Wed. November 10, 1999 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial of Cremains will take place in Tenn. at a later date. Johnnie was born Dec. 31, 1926 Tenn. the son of Lawson and Elsie (Goodwin)Campbell. Prior to his re- tirement in 1992 he had been employed at Fisher Guide for 38 years. He served in the US Army and Navy during the Korean War. He is survived by 1 Son and 1 Daughter: Bobby and wife Dee Campbell of Clio, Tammy and husb. Mike Ruhl of Fraser, Michigan. 2 Grandchildren: Neal and Michea Ruhl. Also 2 Brothers and 1 Sister: 

Opal V. Smith

age 83 of Mt. Morris died Wendesday November 10, 1999 at Genesys Health Park. Friends may call the funeral home Friday 1-9 pm and Saturday 9-9pm. She will then be taken to Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggot, Arkansas for services on Tuesday. Mrs. Smith was born Opal Baker, May 5, 1916 in Providence Kentucky. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clio, and taught in the Mt. Morris school system for over 15 years. She also enjoyed gardening. Survivors include: Son: James Brady of Mt. Morris; Nephew and Niece Hillard and Marie Wright. She was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie R. Brady in 1972. 

Jack Snider
Age 105, Of Yorktown died Tuesday evening at The Waters of Yorktown after a brief Illness. He was born in Saskatchewan, Canada, attended schools there, moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1926, and later to Vassar, Michigan. He was a supervisor for Eaton Manufacturing for 30 years until retiring in 1959. He moved to Yorktown in 1996. Mr. Snider was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Vassar, and attended Yorktown Church of the Nazarene. Surviving are daughter: Clara and husband Albert Reif of Tavares, Florida; three grandchildren: Mark and wife Elizabeth Reif of Texas; Craig and wife Tina Reif of Yorktown; Dana and wife Kimberly Reif of Muncie; five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Wife Maria in 1989, his parents Phillip and Barbara (Mundt) Schneider, three brothers, two sisters. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm Friday November 12, 1999 in The Meeks Mortuary Chapel. Friends may call at the mortuary one hour prior to services on Friday. There will be a Masonic Grave side service 1:00 pm Monday at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Vassar, Michigan with burial to follow. 

Bertram Dingman
Age 85, Of Barton City, died Tuesday November 9, 1999 at McLaren Hospital. Graveside services will be held 12:00 noon, November 11 at Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-9pm, and Thursday 9-12 noon. He was born April 14, 1914 in Grayling, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred C. and Margaret (Kennedy) Ding- man. He and Margaret Brown were united in marriage February 12, 1934. He was a life member of Vienna Lodge #205. He retired from Buick Motor Division, plant 36 after 36 years doing repair and hot test. Surviving are wife: Margaret; Children: David and wife Madeline Dingman of Clio; Nancy and husband Carl Rushton of Clio; Sally and husband Charles Nachbar of Clio; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters, Isabelle, Ellen, Anne, Beaulah, Glenn and Chuck. 

Herman T. Hicks

Age 82 of Flint died Sunday November 7, 1999 at his residence. Funeral service will take place 1:00 p.m. Thursday November 11, 1999 at the Ambassador Baptist Church, Rev. Dale Lewis officiating with burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home 6-9 p.m. Tue. 9-9 Wed. and at the church on Thursday from 12 Noon until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Herman was born October 25, 1917 in Malden, Missouri the son of Jessie and Nora Hicks. He married Mildred Santie in 1943. She preceded him in death in 1971. Herman was a member of the Ambassador Baptist Church and served in the US Army during WWII. Prior to his retirement he had been employed at Chevrolet Parts and Service Plant in Swartz Creek for 22 years. He is survived by 1 daughter: Rita Burleson of Mt. Morris, 3 Grandchildren: John Burleson of Flint; Kandice and husband George Gower of Oklahoma; Brandy Burleson of Mt. Morris; 1 Great Grandchild: Zachary Gower of Oklahoma; 1 Sister: Belle Crockett of Piedmont, Missouri. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 4 sisters. 

Keith Glenn Montague
Of Clio, Age 86 died November 1, 1999 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 5, 1999 at the First Baptist Church in Mt. Morris with Rev. Richard Cook officiating. Burial at Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Miles Martin Funeral Home on Wednesday 6-9 pm and Thursday from 9 am to 9pm. On Friday Mr. Montague will lie in state from 12 noon until time of service at 1:00 pm. Keith was born August 29, 1913 the son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn and Ethel (Tinker) Montague. Keith married Mildred Emerson on July 12. 1939 a union that lasted 55 years. Mr. Montague was a farmer his entire life and volunteered at the First Baptist Church. He also enjoyed the out of doors. He is survived by son: Raymond and wife Emma Montague; 2 daughters: Virginia A. Black and Sabra Irene and husband Bill Carman: 7 grandchildren: Andrew ; Lucas ; Michelle ; Aimee ; Amanda ; Phillip ; and David: 1 great grandchild: Caitlynn; many nieces and nephews; 1 brother: Donald ; 3 sisters : Betty ; Lois and Reatha: He was preceded in death by both parents; wife Mildred; brothers: Robert and Paul; sister: Margaret. Bonnie Rae Moore

Burial at Thetford Township Cemetery. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-9 pm and Thursday from 9:00 am until time of service. Bonnie Fink was born January 20, 1946 in Ilion, New York, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond and Dema (Williams) Fink. Bonnie and Monte were united in marriage on August 18, 1990. In 1989 Bonnie and Monte co-founded the Moore Mechanical Company Inc. Surviving are Husband: Monte of Clio; 6 children, Dema and husband Dan Sanders of Flint; Michele Wheeler of Mt. Morris; Renee and husband Tom Arnott of Millington; Monika and husband Randy Switzer of Alaska; Kellie and husband Allen Kaczarowski of Flint; Virgina Moore of Grand Blanc; Father and wife Raymond and Clara Fink of Birch Run; 5 sisters: Alta Wesner of Flint; Debby and husband Harold Beedy of Roscommon; Donna and husband Al Reno of Clio; Pat Fink of Flint; Cindy and husband Mike Heit of Clio; 10 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
