Of Mission Texas, formerly of Mt. Morris, Age 76 , died Saturday July 31, 1999 at Brittany Manor in Midland. Funeral Service will take place 2:00 PM Tuesday August 3, 1999 at Miles Martin Funeral Home, with burial at Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Monday 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. And Tuesday from 9:00 AM until time of service at 2:00 PM. Lois was born on September 18, 1922 in Weidman, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell and Ruby Bess (Bartlett) Davis. She married Ludwig Culinski July 24, 1944. She was a veteran of WWII and was employed as a cashier for A&P. She also enjoyed reading , cards, traveling and her friends. She is survived by daughter: Linda and husband Brian Carey of Midland; 2 grandchildren; also special friends, Edward and Marie Dennis of Mission, Texas; She was preceded in death by her husband Ludwig on December 6, 1981 and special friend Ken Russell on September 21. 1995.

Mabel A. Manson (Caruthers)
Of Belchertown, Mass. Formerly Vassar, Age 98 died Friday July 30, 1999 at Ware, Mass.. Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, August 4, 1999 from the First Presbyterian Church, 250 W. Huron, Vassar. Rev. Mr. John Becker officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the church Wednesday from 10:00 am to time of services at 11:00am. Mrs. Manson was born August 3, 1900 in Barks, MO. The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. and Rosella (Sutton) Caruthers. She was a resident of Vassar from 1934 until she moved to Belchertown, Mass. in 1991. She was a former member of Vassar First Presbyterian Church, and was a member of Hope United Methodist Church of Belchertown. Mrs. Manson was Past Worthy Matron of the Vassar Chapter #390 O.E.S., a member of Millington Chapter O.E.S. and Past Noble Grand of the Rebecah Lodge #416 in Vassar. Her husband Edward Mason died in 1959. Memorials may be considered in her memory to First Presbyterian Church Music Program, 250 Huron Ave., Vassar, MI., 48768 or to the Hope United Methodist Church Music Program, Main St., Belchertown, MA., 017001. Of Mt. Morris, Age 71 died Friday July 30, 1999 at McLaren Regional Hospital. Funeral Services will be Tuesday 11:00 am August 3, 1999 from Miles Martin Funeral Home. Pastor Bob Burkey and Rev. Mr. Walter David Officiating. Burial at Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends Sunday 6-9pm and Monday 9am-9 pm . Monday 7:00 pm Mt. Morris Lodge #535 and Mt. Morris Chapter #474 OES will assemble at the funeral home Memorial Services at 7:00 pm Eastern Star followed by Masonic Memorial Services . Mr. Vincent was born on June 11, 1928 in Vienna Twp. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard and Sherife (Irvine) Vincent. He and Zelpha Hilliker were united in marriage November 5, 1949. Leonard was a veteran of the Korean war serving in the US Army 82nd Airborne from June 1946 to June 1948, the 11th Airborne from October 1950 to September 1951. He was a life member and past Master of Mt. Morris Lodge #535 F&AM, life member and past patron of Mt. Morris Chapter #474 OES, member of Flint Rapids of the #116 R.A.M. and a member of Mt. Morris First United Methodist Church. Surviving are wife: Zelpha; Mother: Sherife Skutt of Mt. Morris; Daughter: Cynthia and Joseph Campbell of Clio; Sons: Gary and wife Vicki Vincent-Casner of Durand; Dennis and wife Nancy Vincent of Flint; Grant Vincent of Mt. Lauren Bader

Age 92 of Clio-Mt. Morris died Thursday July 29, 1999 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Monday from Miles Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Mr. Richard Cook officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at funeral home 12-9pm Sunday. Memorials may be considered for the Arthritis or Cancer funds. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Born June 11, 1907 in Mayville the son of Mr. and Mrs. John and Etta (Stalker) Bader. He and Mary J. Auer were united in marriage on July 1936. She preceded him in death July 1, 1994. Lauren owned and operated Bader Well Drilling from 1944 until his retirement in 1972. Prior to operating his business he was employed with Buick Motor Division as an electrician. He was a member of Mt. Morris Senior Citizens where he enjoyed playing cards. His great enjoyment came while with his family. Surviving are: daughter: Shirley Batterbee of Clio; 2 grandsons: Lauren and wife Tracie Batterbee of Gladwin; John Batterbee of Gladwin; Great Grandchildren: Katie Burwell; Emilee Burwell; Christopher Batterbee; Nicholas Batterbee; Justin Batterbee; and Vanessa Batterbee; Brothers and Sisters-in law: Helen Scott of Clio; Rose Darley of Flint; Theresa Hess of Gladwin; Emma Auer of Gladwin; Bert Auer of Gladwin; Jim Auer of Gladwin; Special brother and sister-in-law: Vera and Don Darley of Clio; Several nieces and nephews. Clarence Lannon
Of Mt. Morris, Age 81 died Thursday July 29, 1999 at home. The Funeral will be held at 2:00 pm Monday August 2, 1999 from Miles Martin Funeral Home. Burial at Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm on Saturday and 12-9 Sunday and 9:00 am till time of service on Monday. Clarence was born May 10, 1918 in Burt MI., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Eva ( Almy ) Lannon. He and Norma Marie Culhane were united in marriage in 1952. She preceded him in death in 1981. Clarence was a member of Operating Engineers Local 324 Detroit. He retired in 1980 from Young Excavating Flint. Survivors: Daughter: Jo Ann Brandon of Prescott; 5 Sons: Clarence and wife Clare Lannon of Holland; Robert and wife Linda Lannon of Mt. Morris; James and wife Nan Lannon of Mt. Morris; Donald and wife Sheryl Lannon of Mt. Morris; William Lannon of Flint; 23 Grand Children; 23 Great Grand children. 

Lester T. Plummer
Age 84, of Mt. Morris died Tuesday, July 27 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services 1PM Friday, July 30 at Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday 6-9pm and Friday 9am until time of service. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to Genesee County Humane Society. Lester was born November 12, 1914 in Grubbs, Arkansas. He retired from GM after many years. He was a member of Mt. Morris Senior Citizens, and enjoyed dancing at the Senior Citizens Club. Survived by daughter, Dorothy and husband Thomas O'Callaghan of Chicago, Illinois; son, Ronald B. and wife Monica Plummer of Rockford Illinois; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grand children; 3 great great grandchildren; 1 niece and 3 nephews. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers. 

Howard Merle Stanton
Age 71, of Mt. Morris died Tuesday, July 27. Private burial has taken place. Howard was born September 10, 1927 in Wardell, Missouri, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard and Mabel (George) Stanton. He was a member of Mt. Morris Senior Citizens and Krapohl Center. Howard is survived by a sister Esther Sue Stanton, and numerous cousins. 

Rex Middleditch

Age 61, of Mt. Morris died Monday July 26, 1999 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11:00 Am Thursday July 29, 1999 at Miles Martin Funeral Home. Burial at Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6-9 PM and Wednesday 9 - 9. Rex was born August 18, 1937 in Flint the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fran and Henrietta (Jordan) Middleditch. He and Joanne Ritter Myers were united in marriage December 17, 1988. He was a veteran with the US Air Force from 1956 to 1959 stationed in Homestead, Florida. He retired from Lear Seating, Youngstown, Ohio as a Superintendent and formerly employed by Buick Motor Division Engine Plant #36 as General Foreman. Surviving are his wife: Joanne; one daughter, 2 sons, and four stepchildren: Bryan and wife Angela Middleditch of Mt. Morris; Jeff Middleditch of Mt. Morris; Lorrie Middleditch of Mt. Morris; Thomas and wife Renee Myers of California; Mark Myers of Flint; Rhonda Myers and Jay Wilcox of Flint; Shelley Myers and fiancée Dan Bullock of Mt. Morris; 14 grand children; stepmother: Catherine Middleditch of Mt. Morris; two sisters: Patsy Lou and Don Williamson of Flint; Sandra Middleditch of Flushing; step-sister: Judy Borst of Mt. Morris; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father , mother , and two brothers Frank and Dick Middleditch. 

Bertha May Evans

Of Flint age 87 died Saturday July 24, 1999 at her home. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Wednesday from Miles Martin Funeral Home. Burial in Mt. Morris Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home afer 6pm Monday and all day Tuesday. Born Nov. 25, 1911 in Hickman Kentucky the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry and Susie (Turner) Evans. Surviving are her nieces and nephews including Roselle Flynn of Flint; Zona Scott of Mt. Morris; Ervin and wife Theresa Lane of Grand Rapids; Nolan Lamb of Flint; Gene and Sue Lamb of Mt. Morris; Betty and Dennis O'Reilly of Grand Blanc; Johnny and wife Rosemary Yates of Grand Blanc; William and wife Phyllis Yates of Flushing. Numerous other relatives including grand nieces and nephews and cousins. 

Delphene Abbott
Of Standish Age 70 died Saturday July 24, 1999 at Standish Hospital. The Funeral will take place at Martin Funeral Home-Vassar, on Tuesday July 27, 1999 at 11:00 Am. Burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery. Family will receive friends Monday all day and Tuesday 9:00 am until service time. Delphene was born December 9. 1928 in Foster, MI., the Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James and Lela Harrington. She married William Abbott November 1945. She was a devoted wife and mother. Survivors: Husband: William; Sons: James and wife Rosetta Abbott; Jon and wife Roxann Abbott; Daughters: Jackoline and husband Jim Baker; Jarlene and husband George Wood; Tessa and husband Gary King; 17 grand children; 10 great grand children. 

Jimmy Frank Livingston
Age 67 East Tawas, Michigan, formerly of Mt. Morris. Died Saturday July 24, 1999 at St. Joseph Hospital in East Tawas, Michigan. There will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place. Jimmy was born August 18, 1932 in Flint, the son of Frank H. and Opal (Granneman)Livingston. He married Joyce P. Figgins June 16, 1973. He had been employed at Buick Motor Co. for 38 years retiring in 1990. He was also a Veteran of the Korean War. Jimmy was also an avid baseball fan and enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his wife Joyce of East Tawas; 1 Son Frank Livingston of Flint; 2 Step-Daughters: Teresa Reyna of Mt. Morris; Vicki Anderson of Fla.; 2 Grandchildren: Joseph Reyna of Mt. Morris; Dennis Vroman of Fla.; Brothers: Floyed Livingston of Michigan; Steve Livingston of Md.; He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ray.

Of Mt. Morris, Age 81, died Saturday July 24, 1999 at home. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM. Wednesday July 28, 1999 from Miles Martin Funeral Home. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Funeral Home 6-9 PM on Monday 9-9 on Tuesday. He was born in West Virigina on December 19, 1917 the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Lee and Eliza Jane (Saunders) Craddock. He and Geraldine Elizabeth Freeman were united in marriage on January 7, 1941 she preceded him in death June 29, 1999. He was a Veteran of WWII serving with the US Army. He retired in 1979 from Ternstedt with 25 years of service as a machine repair. After his retirement he worked for Mt. Morris Schools as a school bus driver and in sales at Phillip Campers. Surviving: 2 daughters: Carole and husband Jim Potter of Flint; Phyllis Flynn of Mt. Morris; 6 grandchildren: J. Andrew Potter; David Lee Potter; James C. Daniels; Jennifer L. Daniels; Laura L. Daniels; Charles P. Flynn; 7 great grandchildren: Rachell Daniels; Garrett Potter; Stephan Potter; Christopher Potter; Cody Potter; Katherine Potter; Kimberly Daniels; 1 Brother: Arnold; 4 sisters: Elizabeth; Dela; Naomi; Matilda; several nieces and nephews. 

Randy Ray Corlew

Of Mt. Morris, Age 41, died at home Saturday July 24, 1999. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 am. Tuesday July 27, 1999 from Miles Martin Funeral Home. Burial at Butman Township Cemetery in Gladwin. Friends may call after 7:00 pm on Sunday and all day Monday. He was born on March 19, 1958 in Flint the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Ray and JoAnn Marie (Tobias) Corlew. He and Rena Demoines were united in marriage on November 6, 1979. Surviving are wife: Rena; 3 children: Rocky Ray Corlew; Randy Rena Taylor; Rafe Rendy Corlew all of Mt. Morris; 2 grand children: Briana and Elizabeth; parents: Lester Ray and JoAnn Marie Corlew of Gladwin; brother and sisters: Debbie and husband John Wescoat of Mt. Morris; Kathy and husband Brad Miller of Tennessee; Lori Corlew of Mt. Morris; Gary and wife Denise Corlew of Mt. Morris; several nieces and nephews. 

Barbara Ruth Russell
Of Mt. Morris, Age 74 died Friday July 23, 1999 at Genesys Hospice. She was born in Flint, on August 19, 1924 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton T. And Grace (Hunt) Russell. Cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled. She retired from Michigan National Bank. Survivors: Sister: Faye and Husband Stu Allard; Nephews: Joe and Wife Pam Allard; David and Wife Kathy Allard; Niece: Cathy Allard; Sister in law: Delores Wright; Brother in law: Russ Hawtin; Aunt: Sarah Warren; many cousins, one great niece, 5 great nephews. She was preceded in death by both parents, one brother, and one sister. Donation may be considered to the Thetford Methodist Church or Genesys Hospice. 

Emily A. McNea

Age 47 of Burton died Friday July 23, 1999 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be 10am Monday from Mt. Morris St. Mary Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Raymond Urbanek officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Emily will remain at the Miles Martin Funeral Home where friends may call after 6pm Saturday and all day Sunday. Sunday evening at 7pm the family and parish will asemble at the funeral home for a Catholic Scripture service. Memorials may be considered for St. Mary Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Emily was born May 16, 1952 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard and Margaret (Schutz) Seelye. She and Dennis McNea were united in marriage November 24, 1973. She formerly worked at Powers Ccatholic High School in the office. She provided administrative support for the St. John Vianney Church and Donnovan Myotte School. Presently she was employed at Mt. Morris St. Mary Church as Pastoral Assistant, Director of Religious Education and Altar Servers, and was leader of the Youth Group. She was member of Pastoral Ministers Association for Lansing Diocese. Surviving are her husband: Dennis; Daughter: Therese and husband Dennis Mohn of Tucson, AZ.; Grandson: Dennis Joshua Mohn; Grandaughter: Abigail Ann Mohn; 1 brother and 2 sisters: Elisabeth Seelye; Annmary Seelye; William Seelye; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Marie Strong. Emily's family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the Cardiovascular Intesive Care Unit and Emergency staff of Genesys Health Park. 

Lucille Todd Finfrock

Of Mt. Morris age 91, died Wednesday July 21, 1999 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Saturday from Miles Martin Funeral Home. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-9pm Friday. At 7pm Friday evening Mt. Morris Chapter #474 OES will assemble at the funeral home for an Eastern Star Memorial. Born April 22, 1908 in Caro the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Cameron and Nora (Shannon) Todd. She and John Finfrock were united in marriage May 28, 1950. He preceded her in death April 28, 1991. She was a lifemember, and past matron of Mt. Morris Chapter #474 OES and Past High Priestess of the El Said Court. She was founding member of the Wednesday Night Forum club in Mt. Morris which was together for over 50 years. Lucille retired 1953 after 29 years of service operating the Mt. Morris Consumer Power office. During World War II she was a nurse's assistant with the Visiting Nurse Assoc. Surviving are: her son: Timm and wife Marla Finfrock of Whitmore Lake; 2 grandaughters: Amy and Holly; Sister: Virginia and husband Robert Swartz of Sturgis; Special aunt: Virginia and husband John Jenkins; several nieces and nephews. 

Jack Milton Smith

Age 72 of Mt. Morris died Tuesday July 20, 1999 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral service will take place at Miles Martin Funeral home 2:00 PM Friday July 23, 1999. Family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 noon until 2:00PM. Jack was born October 21, 1926 in Flint the son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard and Eva Smith. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and hunting. Survivors include sons: Richard and wife Robbyn Smith of Flint; William and wife Rhonda Smith of Flint; Michael and wife Ramona Smith of Mt. Morris; daughters: Sharon and Gordon Smith of Millington; Jacqueline Lasley Smith of Flint; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; 2 brothers and 3 sisters. 

Charles J. Rosa Jr. "Charlie"

Of Flint. Age 76 Died Tuesday July 20, 1999 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will take place 10:00 AM Friday at the Miles Martin Funeral Home with burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6-9 PM Wed. 10:00AM -1:00 PM and 4-9 PM Thursday. Charlie was born Aug. 26, 1922 in Flint the son of Charles J.and Pearl(Rockwell)Rosa, Sr. He married Ethel M. Rex June 21, 1941. Prior to his retirement he had been employed for Buick Motor for 45 years retiring in 1985 as a trouble shooter. He was a Veteran of World War II serving in the Navy Air Force. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bingo and going to the Casino. He was also a very loving husband , father, grandfather and will be sadly missed by all. Surviving are Wife Ethel of Flint, 2 Sons: Charles III and wife Jane Rosa of Safford, Arizona. George and wife Neva Rosa of Flushing. 10 Grandchildren. "Papa Charlie" also leaves 15 Great Grandchildren. 5 Sisters: Joy and Husb.Bill Creamer of Clio, Pauline Curry of Fenton, Betty Adams of Flint, Joyce Ptaszenski of Flint, Jean McArthur of Otisville.Also several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins He was preceded in death by his Parents, Sister Lorainne, and a Son Jack. The family would like to thank Dr.Iung for all his loving support, also McLaren Hospital and staff, especially Denny on the 9th floor. 

Cynthia "Batterbee" Campbell
age 40 of Linden formerly of Mt. Morris died Monday July 19, 199 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Thursday from SS Charles Helena Catholic Church, 230 E. Vienna, Clio. Rev. Fr. Jerry Ploof officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Cindy will remain at the Miles Martin Funeral Home where friends may call 6-9pm Tuesday and 9am - 9pm Wednesday. Parish, family and friends will gather at the funeral home Wednesday evening for a Catholic Scripture service at 7:00 pm. Thursday morning Mrs. Campbell will be taken to church to lie in state from 9:00 am until time of services at 10:00 am. If desired memorials may be considered for a family discretionary fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Born in Flint May 2, 1959 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald and Shirley (Bader) Batterbee. She and Phillip Campbell were united in marriage October 18, 1997. They moved to Linden December 1998 from Mt. Morris - Clio area. She was formerly employed by Mt. Morris Schools with 10 years service, served as co-chair of the Kids Kingdom playground project in Mt. Morris, Operated the school store in Linden Elementary school, taught CCD at SS Charles and Helena Church, and was the co-manager at Batterbee's Sweet Shoppe in Mt. Morris for 4 years. Surviving are her husband: Phil; She was the loving mother of Katie Burwell and Emilee Burwell; stepmother to Keith Campbell and Brian Campbell; Daughter of Shirley Batterbee of Mt. Morris; sister of: Lauren and wife Tracie Batterbee of Gladwin and John Batterbee of Gladwin; Grandaughter of Lauren Bader of Mt. Morris and June Batterbee of Mt. Morris; Aunt to Christopher, Nicholas, Justin, and Vanessa all of Gladwin; Daughter-in-law to Fern and Phillip Campbell of Milford; Sister-in-law to Tim Campbell of Milford; She was a niece and cousin to many. Cindy was preceded in death by her father Ron, grandfather Stewart Batterbee and grandmother Mary Bader. 

David William Ziegler

Of Vassar, Michigan,Age 48, died Sunday, July 18, 1999 at Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital in Frankfort. David was born December 24, 1950 in Sandusky the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clare and Bonnie (Riedel) Ziegler. He served in the U. S. Army Reserves 1969-1972. Was employed by Saginaw Metal Castings Operation as a production worker for 29 years. And enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing and boating. Surviving are: his sons: Lance David and wife Amy Ziegler of Vassar; Justin James McClure of Vassar. Companion and friend for 22 years: Susan McClure of Vassar. Special children: Heidi and husband Tim Walker of Saginaw; Jason and wife Kristi McClure of Marquette. 3 Grandchildren: Jordan Walker, Brandon Walker, Kalen McClure. David Alan Elliott
Age 47 of Charleston, SC formerly of Mt. Morris died Saturday July 17, 1999 at home in his son's arms. The funeral will take place 11:00 am Thursday July 22, 1999 at Miles Martin Funeral Home. The Family will receive friends 6-9 pm on Tuesday, all day on Wednesday, 9 am until service time on Thursday. Dave was born July 16, 1952. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark and Genevieve (Steffes ) Elliott. He and Rose Roth were united in marriage April 17, 1971. Dave's favorite occupation was being an auto salesman. Survivors are: Wife: Rose of Charleston SC.; son: David and wife Denise Elliott of Charleston SC.; daughter: Paula Elliott of Charleston, SC.; granddaughter: Heather; 2 brothers and 2 sisters: Matt Elliott; Mark Elliott; Sandra Elliott; Cheryl and husband Peter Noel; 1 niece Tina Noel all from Royal Oak; 2 nephews: Christopher and Sean; mother-in-law: Lorraine Roth of Otisville. Preceded in death by his mother in February 1999. 

Maxine Vivian Bates

Age 73, of Clio, died Thursday July 15, 1999 at Hurley Medical Center in Flint. Funeral services 11:00 AM Saturday at Miles Martin Funeral Home, Mt. Morris. Rev. Donald Smith Jr. officiating. Burial in Davison Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday 1-4pm and 6-9pm. Maxine was born March 20, 1926 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George and Alena (Henry) Reese. She married Raymond Bates at Calvary Community Methodist Church and they were together 50 years. In 1984 Maxine retired with 39 years of service with the State of Michigan in the accounting department. Survivors include her husband: Raymond; half-brother: Carl Willis; her buddy-Chaing the dog; sisters-in-law: Marion LeClair; De Etta Grable; brother-in-law: Robert K. Bates; Dorothy Grable; Niece and special friend Patricia Lewis; many other nieces and nephews. Thelma Mary Graubman

Of Vassar died Tuesday July 13, 1999 in Saginaw. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday July 16, 1999 at 1:00 pm at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church. With Burial in Tuscola Cemetery. The Family will receive friends 5-9pm on Wednesday, 1pm-4pm and 5pm-9pm on Thursday at Martin Funeral Home in Vassar. Mrs. Graubman will be taken to church to lie in state from 12 noon until service time at 1:00 pm. A scripture service will take place on Thursday at 5:30 pm, at the funeral home. Thelma was born April 15, 1913 to Joseph & Josephine (Alexander ) Dulong in Wallaceburg Ontario, Canada. She came to the United States at age 3. She Married Carl "Chuck" Graubman on November 23.1933 in Detroit. Thelma was a member of St. Frances X. Cabrini Catholic Church and the Vassar Eagles Auxiliary. She was also an avid bowler for many years. Thelma retired from Woodcock Insurance Agency in Vassar after 19 years of service. She is survived by: Husband: Chuck; sister: Delina Schotzberg of Conn.; nieces and nephew. She was preceded in death by both parents, sisters Salina, Margaret, brothers Henry, James, Fred. Dorothy E. Campbell

Of Vassar, died Monday, July 12, 1999 at St. Luke's Hospital in Saginaw. Age, 79. Mrs. Campbell was born June 21, 1920 in Flint the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry and Amelia (Arnst) Meinecke. She and Herbert Heidenberger were united in marriage November 19, 1938. He preceded her in death December 28, 1968. On October 1971 she married Douglas Campbell who preceded her in death in 1995. She had several foster children before she and Herbert adopted Eugene, James, Nancy and Kenneth. A member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Vassar where she was the oldest and longest Communicant member. A member of the Ladies Aid Society and the Musical MaMas. Mrs. Campbell enjoyed making rugs on her loom, sewing, crafts, flowers and gardening. She was employed by Byron Roth Turkey Farm until they closed. Retired form Vassar Manufacturing after 15 years of service. Surviving are children: Eugene and wife Frances Heidenberger of East Lansing; James and wife Bonnie Heidenberger of Vassar; Nancy Judd of Lima, Ohio; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Geraldine Sukeriekoff of Berkley; Harold and wife Jeanne Meinecke of Otisville; Henrietta Vargo of Gilford; Robert and wife Luella Meinecke of Millington; Mildred and husband Laverne Coon of Otisville; John and wife Patricia Meinecke of Millington; Henry and wife Arlene Meinecke of Davison; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, son, Kenneth Heidenberger and sister Amelia Perry who lived in Vassar. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday July 16, 1999 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church with Rev. James Naumann officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar on Thursday 9am-12 Noon, 1-5pm and 6-9 pm. On Friday morning Mrs. Campbell will be taken to church to lie in state , where friends may call from 10am until time of services at 11:00am. Aurbon "Bud" D. Whitehead

Age 66 of Davison went to be with Jesus Saturday July 10, 1999 at his home. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday from Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Born March 8, 1933 in Bernie, MO. the son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto and Mae (Long) Whitehead. He and Shirley Carpenter were united in marriage May 8, 1952. He was a member of Inner City Christian Outreach, Flint where he also served as Elder. Previously Bud served as a minister after his ordination in the 1960's at Bray Road Baptist Church, Mt. Morris. Surviving are his wife: Shirley; 4 sons: Aurbon D. Jr. "Buddy" Whitehead; Dan and wife Diane Whitehead; Randy and wife Cathy Whitehead; and Floyd; 10 grandchildren: Ron; Jason; Shawn; Jeremy; Amanda; Janelle; Heather; Amber; Cassie; and Melanie. 2 brothers: Dewayne and wife Janie Whitehead of Davison; Ed and wife Linda Whitehead of Millington; 2 sisters: Joyce and husband Bob Allison of Mt. Morris; Jean Doris of Missouri; Sister-in-law: Janice Whitehead of Clio; Many nieces and nephews. Bud was preceded in death by his mom and dad, 3 brothers: Leroy; Junior; and Bob, and sister: Ruby Crow. Leland R. Ackerman

Of Mayville, Age 82, died Thursday, July 8, 1999 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Saginaw. Mr. Ackerman was born November 27, 1916 in Juniata Township, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Maude (Frizzle) Ackerman. He and Arlene Hewlett were united in marriage on May 30, 1940 in Lakeview, Michigan. Mr. Ackerman retired from Grede Foundry in Vassar as a shell molder after 18 years of service. Mr. Ackerman was a member of Juniata Baptist Church. He enjoyed country music and farming. His family always came first in his life. Left to cherish his memory are wife: Arlene; son: Theodore and wife Althea Ackerman of Mayville; daughter: Diane Ackerman of Mayville; grandchildren Christy and husband Dave Rayl of Caro; Leland Ackerman of Mayville; brother and sisters: William and wife Alice Ackerman of Vassar; Elizabeth and husband Fred Enos of Caro; Elnora and husband Carl Brock of Caro; Margaret and husband Bob Schemm of Richville; numerous nieces and nephews. Thomas Paul McIntosh

He lived in the Mt. Morris area all his life, Mr. McIntosh was a Vietnam era veteran serving with the US Army in Korea. Don Hugh Duford

April 13, 1919 the son of Mr. and Mrs. Antoine and Mazallia (Dennis) Duford. He and Geraldine Coggins were united in marriage June 27, 1942 in Midland. He moved to Mt. Morris from Beaverton in 1953. Don retired a self employed Commercial Contractor owning and operating Duford Construction. He built the first McDonalds in Flint, numerous Flint area warehouses, the early Dawn Donut Shops, White Oaks Estates, and Beechwood Greens Golf Course. Don was a life member of Mt. Morris Lodge #535 F&AM, and Mt. Morris Chapter #474 OES. He was a member of Elf Khurafeh Shrine and Pine Island Moose Lodge in Florida. Surviving are his wife: Geraldine; 6 children: Norman and wife Peg Duford of Mt. Morris; Dennis and wife Susan Duford of Waterford; Merrilee and husband Al Doty of Auburn; Renee Duford of Grand Haven; Brenda and husband Mike Wood of Mt. Morris; Gail and husband Mark Tanner of Davison; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 7 brothers and sisters: Dorothy June; Calvin Duford; Clifford Duford; Bobbie Olmstead; Faith Connell; Hugh Gene Duford; Zelly Guiles; Numerous neices and nephews. Preceded in death by Tom, Beatrice, Lowella, Thelma, Rose and 2 infants. 

Marshall Kenneth Lemon
Age 81, of Bradenton, Fla. Died Sunday July 4, 1999 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday July 8, 1999 at 3:00pm from Miles Martin Funeral Home. With Burial at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children, 12502 North Pine Dr., Tampa, Fla. 12502-9499. Mr. Lemon was born in Dexter, Missouri on April 1, 1918 and had been a resident of East Tawas, MI. since 1984. He retired as an Inspector for General Motors, Fisher Body Plant. Mr. Lemon was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Bradenton. He served in WWII in the US Army Air Corps-Navigator in China-Burma- India. Mr. Lemon was a life member of and past Master of Masonic Blue Lodge #274 in Tawas, MI., life member and past Patron of O.E.S (Tawas Bay #71)- Bay City, MI., Consistory Shrine Sahib Temple, Sarasota, past member Lions Club, East Tawas, MI., He was a graduate of G.M.I (General Motors Institute). Surviving are Wife: Donna Lemon of Bradenton; Daughter: Marilyn K. McKeehan of Westminister, MA; Son : Keith R. Lemon of Pompano Beach, Fla. ; 4 grandchildren; 2 great -grandchildren. 

James Clyde Shattuck

Of Vassar, Michigan Died Sunday July 4, 1999 at St. Marys Medical Center in Saginaw. Age 75. He was born February 9, 1924 in Mayville the son of James and Myrtle (Monroe) Shattuck. He married Naretha Sherbrook Oct. 10, 1942. He had been employed at Vassar United Plastic Co. for several years and then retired from Saginaw Steering Gear. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was active in the national Navy reunion. He was a former member of the Vassar VFW Post. Jim's biggest pride included his wife, children, grandchildren, and the Navy. He was always there as the backbone and educator for his family. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Naretha of Vassar; Son: Kalin Clyde Shattuck of Flint; Daughter: Cheryl and Husband John Piche' of Mayville; Daughter: Kathy and Husband Gerry Vander Meer of Vassar; 8 Grandchildren: Kalin James Shattuck and Wife Dawn of Clio; Lonnie Shattuck and Wife Amy of Genesee; Lisa Champaign and Husband Tony of Saginaw; Candi Hamel of Clio; Tony Dzikowicz and fiancee' Amy Sumera of Chicago; Callie Rose and Husband Aaron of Grand Rapids; Tammy Dzikowicz of East Lansing; Ryan DeClute of Vassar; 6 Great Grandchildren: Erin and Page Hamel; Thomas Hartwell; Zachary Shattuck; Elizabeth and Anthony Champaign; Also 1 Sister Mildred Baker of Davison; Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Sister Marion Fox and infant sisters. Michael J. Lambert

He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, a member of Albright Shores Eagles # 3655, and UAW Local # 599. He was also an Avid hunter and snowmobiler.
