Mr. Brian P. Byrt of Hilton Head, SC, formerly of Lowell, and Pittsburgh,
PA, died March 1, 2000 at the Hilton Head Medical Center in Hilton Head,
SC.
He was married to the late Mrs. Kathleen M. Byrt who died October 16,
1997.
Born in Bridgeport, CT, on March 31, 1943, the son of the late Paul
and Helen (Hruby) Byrt. He was a graduate of Lowell High School.
He was employed with the Bayer Corporation as a Technical Manager in
Pittsburgh, PA.
He was a communicant of St. Jude Church of Pittsburgh, PA.
He was an avid golfer and fisherman.
He is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Hemmelrick of Lowell, two sons,
Michael Byrt and Sean and his wife Julie Byrt all of Boulder, CO, a granddaughter,
Margaret Hemmelrick of Lowell, several close in-laws, as well as aunts,
uncles, and many cousins, and a lifetime friend Frank Muldoon of Lowell.

DAVID B. O'KEEFE OF WESTFORD
Mr. David B. O'Keefe, 57, a 30-year resident of Westford, died March
2, 2000 at home after a brief illness.
Dave was the husband of Barbara (Johnson) O'Keefe to whom he was married
for 24 years.
Dave was born in Catskill, N.Y. on September 5, 1942; son of the late
Robert C. O'Keefe and Loraine E. (Brownell) O'Keefe. Dave was raised in
Greenville, N.Y. and graduated from Greenville High School in 1960. Dave
attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he graduated in 1965 with
a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
Dave was a computer design engineer manager for Compaq in Shrewsbury
for 4 years. Prior to Compaq, Dave was an engineer for Digital Equipment
Corporation for 10 years and Honeywell for 22 years.
In addition to his wife, Dave is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law,
David S. and Patricia (Normandin) O'Keefe of Chelmsford and Richard Brett
and Paula (Shepanek) Day of Tualatin, OR, three daughters and a son-in-law,
Stacey E. O'Keefe of Dracut, Tara L. (Day) Barnhart of Gaithersburg, MD,
and Heather E. (Day) and Thomas Crowe of Orlando, FL, two sisters and a
brother-in-law, Kathleen and William Clark of Medusa, NY, and Karen Parks
of Catskill, NY; and five grandchildren, Kasey, Molly and Matthew O'Keefe

Mrs. Florence E. (Osborne) Miskell of Chelmsford, died March 5, 2000
at the Lowell General Hospital.
She was married to the late Mr. Thomas P. Miskell who died October
11, 1990.
Born in Everett, MA, on February 28, 1919, the daughter of the late
David N. and Agnes J. (Keefe) Osborne. She was a graduate of Everett High
School with the class of 1936.
In her early years she was employed as a Conductress on the Boston
Elevated Railway, she then worked as a telephone operator for New England
Telephone, and retiring in the 1970's from MIT/Lincoln Labs as a telephone
operator.
She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church of Chelmsford.
She participated in the Castle Hill Senior Care program in Chelmsford.
She is survived by a son, Thomas D. Miskell of Chelmsford, and his
Dear Friend, Glenda Walker of S. Boston; two brothers, John J. Osborne
and David V. Osborne both of Everett, MA; two sisters, Mary A. Evinson

DARLENE K. COURCHAINE OF TYNGSBORO
Darlene K. Courchaine of Tyngsboro, died March 7, 2000 at the Lowell
General Hospital.
Born in Lowell on October 13, 1951, the daughter of the late Dorothy
(Rich) Courchaine. She was a graduate of Tyngsboro High School with the
class of 1970.
She owned and operated Di's Catering, and was employed in the Food
Services Industry until her recent retirement, she then assisted with Daycare
Operations with her daughters.
Darlene was a life-long resident of Tyngsboro, an avid gardener and
great cook. She was a member of the Tyngsboro Evangelical Congregational
Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Pattiann and her husband Raymond
W. Reekie, Jr., Wendy Courchaine, and Tara Courchaine all of Tyngsboro,
two brothers and sisters-in-law, Howard and Bonnie Courchaine of Adison,
ME, and Michael and Nadja Courchaine of Tyngsboro, a sister and brother-in-law,
Deborah and Herbert F. Mortin of Tyngsboro, four grandchildren, Johnathan
and Brandon Santor, and Makayla and Makenzie Reekie all of Tyngsboro, four

Mr. George R. Winn, Sr., of Lowell, died March 9, 2000 at the Heritage
Manor Nursing Home in Lowell.
He was married to Mrs. Eva (Canham) Winn with whom he celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on July 10, 1999.
Born in Lowell, on January 7, 1915, the son of the late John J. and
Mary G. (Conroy) Winn, Sr. He was a graduate of Lowell High School with
the class of 1933.
He served with the U.S. Army during World War II and saw action in
the European Theater and the African Theater. He was a decorated and honorably
discharged soldier.
He was employed at the Charlestown Naval Shipyard as a boiler room
technician.
He was a communicant of the Sacred Heart Church of Lowell.
He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the American
Legion.
Besides his wife he is survived by a son, George R. Winn, Jr., two
daughters and a son-in-law, Patricia A. and Martin P. Cahill of Woburn,
and Mary E. Winn of Chelmsford, a sister-in-law, Caroline R. Winn of Nashua,

Mr. Anthony J. Michniewich of Chelmsford, MA, formerly of Springfield,
VT, died March 10, 2000 at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell, MA.
He was married to Mrs. Helen (Masten) Michniewich, with whom he would
have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 8.
He was born in Springfield, VT, on October 17, 1914, the son of the
late Stanislaw and Amelia (Ywaskiewicz) Michniewich. He was a graduate
of Springfield High School in Springfield, VT.
He was employed with Jones & Lamson in Springfield, VT, as a machinist
repair foreman.
He was a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Springfield,
VT.
Anthony was an accomplished harmonica Player, an avid fisherman, hunter
and outdoorsman. He enjoyed camping with his family and spending numerous
summers on the Cape.

Mrs. Esther Judith (Kuona)(Whiteley) Sweeney of Marlborough, NH, died
March 10, 2000 at the Palm Manor Nursing Home in Chelmsford.
She was married to the late Mr. Paul Sweeney.
Born in Pirrhajarvi, Finland, on Feb. 3, 1911, the daughter of the
late Herman and Hilma M. (Groonstrom) Kuona. She was educated in the Marlborough,
NH, school system.
She was formerly employed with the Lincoln Lodge on Cape Cod as Head
of Wait Staff, she was a weaver in several woolen mills in Southern, NH,
from 1955 to 1985, and most recently she was involved with child care until
her retirement in 1990.

CA, and a daughter and son-in-law, Judith A. and Herbert A. Hawes of Chelmsford,

Mr. William J. LaLime of Lowell, formerly of Chelmsford, died March
30, 2000.
Born in Lowell, on October 24, 1964, the son of the late Leo A. and
Edna (Raymond) LaLime. He was a graduate of Chelmsford High School with
the class of 1984.
He was a volunteer and lifeguard at the Lowell Boys Club a volunteer
at Chelmsford High School, and periodically donated blood to the American
Red Cross.
He attended the North Chelmsford Congregational Church.
