Born in Nashua, NH, on January 6, 1947, the son of the late Robert and Hazel (Bestin) Morton and Stepson of Blakely L. Clarke of Tyngsboro. He attended the Tyngsboro School System and the Hudson, NH, School System.
He was employed as a Custodian with the Tyngsboro Jr./Sr. High School.
He was a member of the Tyngsboro Evangelical Congregational Church.
He is survived by two step-sisters, Frances Hardy of Hudson, NH, and Carole Duguay of Nashua, NH and step-aunts and uncles, John and Suzanne Clarke of Hudson, NH, and Louise Lorman, Christina and George Bell, Janet and Richard Lorman, Blanche Clarke, and Carl Gray all of Tyngsboro.

Mr. Carlos A. Avila age 46 of Pelham, NH. died Sept. 23, 1999 at the
Saint's Memorial Hospital in Lowell, MA.
He was married to Mrs. Maria I. (Gois) Avila with whom he
celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary on June 25, 1999.
Born in Doze Ribeiras, Terceira, Azores Portugal on March 8, 1953 the son of the late Francisco M. and Maria (Merces) Avila Jr. 
He served with the Portuguese Military in Angola, Africa during the Angola Conflict. 
Over the years he was employed with Pendel & Bradford Co. in Lowell, Henkles & McKoy Co. in Penn., and at the time of his death he was employed as a Car Sales Manager at Auto Stop Auto Sales in Pelham, NH.
He was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church in Lowell, and St. Patrick's Church in Pelham, NH.
He was a former member and drummer in St. Anthony's Band in Lowell, MA, and was a former soccer player with the Lowell Blues Soccer Club.
Besides his wife he is survived by his mother Mrs. Maria (Merces) Avila of Red Lands, CA., two sons Erik Avila and Carlos Avila Jr., of Pelham, NH, three sisters and their husbands Anelcina & Edward Elsasser of San Bernardino, CA., Filomena & Joao Faqundes of Lowell, Maria I. & Edmund Cote of Dracut, and a sister-in-law Helena Fosdik of Chelmsford, and five brothers Francisco & his wife Maria Avila of Modesto, CA., Jose Dimras Avila of San Bernardino, CA., Ezequiel & his wife Karyn Avila of Pelham, NH., Silverio Avila of San Bernardino, CA., Jeorge & his wife Maria Avila of Ontario, CA., and several nieces & nephews.

PATRICIA DANAS OF LOWELL
Mrs. Patricia Danas of Lowell, died September 28, 1999 at her home.
She was married to the late Mr. James P. Danas who died March 12, 1981. 
Born in Lowell, on January 19, 1913, the daughter of the late Peter and Vasiliki (Kalongis) Contos. She attended the Lowell School System.
Patricia Managed Danas' Confectionery Store in Lowell for many years until her retirement.
She was a member of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell, where she was active in the Ladies Philoptochos Society.
She enjoyed playing Bingo and was involved with the Ladies Auxiliary of St. George Bingo Committee.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Dorothea (Alexion) Danas of Lowell, three daughters and two sons-in-law, Toni Lawrenson, Christine and Leonard Spinelli, and Georgia and Richard Dodge all of Lowell, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Arthur P. and Bessie Contos of Lowell, and Christos P. and Ann Contos of Westford, a sister, Stella Anganes of Lowell, 15 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Nicholas P. Contos of Lowell, who died
January 28, 1999.

Miss Eleanor M. Chisholm of Tyngsboro, MA. died Nov. 13, 1999 at the
Boston Medical Center. 
Born in Lowell, MA. on Apr. 15, 1915 the daughter of the late Donald and Annie (Doyle) Chisholm. She was a graduate of Lowell High School with the class of 1933.
She was employed as a clerk with the U.S. Government before her retirement.
She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in North Chelmsford, MA.
She was a member of the Tyngsboro Senior Citizens Club.
She is survived by a sister Anna Blanchard and a brother Daniel Chisholm a sister-in-law Esther Chisholm all of Lowell, MA, and a brother-in-law James McDaniel of VA. & FL., and close friends Patricia and Robert McGowan of Tyngsboro, and several nieces and nephews among them is Maureen Wasson, Ann Parks, William Chisholm Jr., James Chisholm, James McDaniel, and Ann Louise Sech.
She was the sister of the late Florence Redican, Virginia Mc Daniel, Marion Mulholland and William Chisholm all of Lowell, MA.

GLADYS G. DUNIGAN
FORMERLY OF NORTH CHELMSFORD
Mrs. Gladys G. (Mooney) Dunigan formerly of North Chelmsford died November 15, 1999. 
She was married to the late Mr. James F. Dunigan who died on April 13, 1993. 
Born in Lowell, MA, on December 11, 1908 the daughter of the late Patrick and Ada (Morris) Mooney. She was a graduate of Lowell High School was also a Girl Officer with the class of 1926, and the Lowell Normal Teachers College with the class of 1929. She received her BS degree from Lowell State College in 1952, and her Masters degree from the Calvin Coolidge College in 1954.
She began her teaching career in Stowe, VT, and taught in Lowell, Wilmington, and retired from the Westlands School in Chelmsford in 1973. 
She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in North Chelmsford, MA.
She was a member of the League of Catholic Women, Retired Teachers Association, and the Retired State, County and Municipal Employees.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary P. Dunigan of Reading, MA, a son James F. Dunigan, Jr. and his wife Virginia (Douglas) Dunigan of Greensboro, NC, a daughter-in-law, Judith (McCarthy) Dunigan of Lowell, MA, 7 grandchildren, James F. Dunigan III of Londonderry, NH, Jill Coleman of Greensboro, NC, Jeffrey Dunigan of Lawrenceville, GA, Brian M. Dunigan of Pepperell, MA, Kathleen Dunigan of Cambridge, MA, Elizabeth Dunigan of Cambridge, MA, Gregory Dunigan of Los Angeles, CA, 7 great-grandchildren, James F. Dunigan IV, Patrick and Abby Dunigan of Londonderry, NH, John Paul Coleman of Greensboro, NC, Brilie Dunigan of Pepperell, MA, and Syndney and Haley Dunigan of Lawrenceville GA, and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Martha K. Dunigan of Chelmsford, MA, who died February 21, 1950, and W. Brian Dunigan of Lowell, MA,(retired Clerk Magistrate of the Lowell Superior Court) who died May 1, 1996. She was the sister of the late Ada Cassidy and the Rev. Walter Mooney, O.M.I.

Mr. William J. Riley, Sr. of Chelmsford, formerly of the Highlands section of Lowell died November 16, 1999.
He was married to Mrs. Margaret M. (O'Sullivan) Riley with whom he celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 6, 1999. 
Born in Lowell, on November 26, 1924 the son of the late John J. and Katherine (McKenna) Riley. He was a graduate of Lowell High School with the class of 1942.
During World War II he served with the U.S. Marine Corp. in the Central Pacific Area as a Corporal. 
He was employed with General Electric Co. in the Lowell plant for over 38 years until his retirement in 1984.
He was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church.
He was an avid golfer and member at the Mt. Pleasant Golf Club.
Besides his wife he is survived by three daughters and their husbands Judith Ann and Richard Levasseur, Brenda and Russell Adams all of Lowell, and Mary Ellen and William Dillon of Dracut, and three sons, James P. Riley of Ft. Worth, TX, Brian J. and his wife Lori Riley of Arlington, TX, and William J. Riley, Jr. and Leah Flynn of Lowell, a sister, Joan Underwood of Lawrence, a brother, Gerald and his wife Theresa Riley of Chelmsford, ten grandchildren, Jennifer, Joshua, Jonathan, Brooke and Brock Riley, Richard and Dawn Levasseur, Tara Adams, Caren and Brian Dillon, and several nieces and nephews. 
He was the brother of the late Mary Riley, Dorothy Riley, Muriel Riley, and Shirley Sorota of Lowell and John Riley of Baltimore, MD.

Mrs. Cornelia (Chilstedt) Flynn of Chelmsford died Nov. 18, 1999 at her home.
She was married to Mr. Francis E. Flynn with whom she celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary on June 5, 1999. 
Born in Quincy, MA. on June 24, 1942, the daughter of Mrs. Signe E. (Hanson) Chilstedt and the late Eric Chilstedt. She was a graduate of Quincy High School with the class of 1960, and graduated from the Catherine Gibbs School in Boston.
Over the years she was employed as a legal secretary with Att. John J. Hurly, Attorney's Callan-Sullivan & Burke, Attorney's Donahue & Donahue, all of Lowell, and Attorney's Lawlor and Fortin in Chelmsford.
She moved to Chelmsford in 1969 and was a communicant of St. Mary's Church of Chelmsford, MA. 
Besides her husband and mother she is survived by her daughters Elizabeth Flynn of N.Y., NY., and Diane Sylvester of Washington, DC., and three sons and two daughter-in-laws Brendan and Michelle Flynn of Rye, NH., Christopher and Lori Flynn of San Mateo, CA., and David Flynn of Worcester, MA., a sister Clara Boyle of Salem, MA., and a brother and his wife Eric and Christine Chilstedt of Braintree, MA., and several nieces and nephews.

She was married to the late Mr. Edward J. Carroll who died June 14, 1995. 
Born in Lowell, on July 22, 1909, the daughter of the late Martin J. and Mary A. (McAndrews) O'Hara. She was a graduate of Lowell High School with the class of 1927, where she was a Captain Girl Officer with the B Company, 1st Battalion.
She was employed with the New England Telephone Company from 1927 to 1965 when she retired as a Supervisor with the Business Office.
She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church of Chelmsford, and the Epiphany Church in Port Orange, FL.
She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers Association, and enjoyed dancing.
Ellen and her late husband, Edward moved to Port Orange, FL, from Lowell in 1980.
She is survived by three nieces, Colleen and her husband Michael Clohisy of Dracut, Ellen O'Hara of Chelmsford, and Patricia and her husband Michael Dalimata of West Glacier, MT, and two nephews, Martin O'Hara and Sean and his wife Patricia O'Hara, all of Lowell.
She was the sister of the late Martin O'Hara, Mary Flanagan, Marguerite O'Hara, and Anne Marie O'Hara all of Lowell.

Over the years she was employed as an operator with the New England Telephone Co., and the Bon Marche' Dept. Store in Lowell.
She had lived in Lowell, MA, Framingham, MA, Arlington, TX, Boca Raton, FL, Naples, FL, and since 1992 she has lived in St. Charles, MO., and was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Cottleville, MO.
In the past she was a member of B.P.O.E. Does in Arlington, TX.
She is survived by a daughter and her husband Patricia and Edgar Will of St. Charles, MO, two sons and their wives, John C. and Mary Gallagher of Stratham, NH, and Charles A. and Betty Gallagher of Rehoboth Beach, DE, a brother and his wife, James and Doris White of Beverly, MA, and a sister-in-law, Ann White of Chelmsford, MA.

Mr. Orrin A. Files of Tyngsboro died Nov. 30, 1999.
He was married to Mrs. Lillian (Lund) Files with whom he celebrated their 49thn wedding anniversary on Aug. 19, 1999. 
Born in Waltham, MA. on Aug. 24, 1927, the son of the late Clarence and Theodora (Jameson) Files. He was educated at Waltham High School, and Burdett College.
He served with the U.S. Navy on the ST. Paul CA 73 in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre during World War II.
After the war he was employed with the Raytheon Corp. in Waltham, MA., and Sandberg Equipment Co. in Cambridge, MA., and then started his own Files Equipment Co., Inc. in Acton, MA. in 1954 and has operated it ever since.
He was a member of the Masons Belmont Blue Lodge A F & A M, and was a Shriner with the Aleppo Temple A A O N M S, of Wilmington, MA.
Mr. Files was a private pilot and was a member of the Quiet Birdman Boston Hanger Association, and many other business organizations. He was also and avid golfer and was a member of the Lexington Country Club. 
Besides his wife he is survived by a son Steven L. Files of Tyngsboro, MA., a sister Donna Freeman of Merrimack, NH., and a brother and his wife Richard and Thelma Files of Buzzards Bay, and a sister-in-law Doris Files of Hudson, MA., and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Donald L. Files of Littleton , MA.
