MA died August 1, 2001 at Lowell General Hospital.
She was married to Steven Shattuck with whom
she celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary on May 21, 2001.
Born in Nuremberg, Germany on Dec. 15, 1960,
the daughter of the late Gifford and Mary L. (Jacques) Coon.
She was a graduate of Westford Academy High
School with the class of 1979.
She was employed as a secretary at Aquatime
Pools and Spas in Tyngsboro, MA, and in the past she worked for Commodore
Foods in Westford, MA, Macom Corp. in Burlington, MA, and Stuart's Dept.
Store in Lowell, MA.
She was a communicant of the Sacred Heart
Church of Lowell, MA, and was the Past President of Sacred Heart Parents
Association.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her
two daughters Shellane Shattuck and Shaundra Shattuck, both of Lowell,
MA, two sisters and their husbands, Elizabeth and Stephen Webber of Westford,
and Denise and Bryan Ewing of Lowell, one brother, Gifford Coon and his
fiancée, Susan McLenna, of Nashua, NH, her
in-laws, Gail and Ralph Priest of Littleton and Ralph and Jeanne Shattuck
of Peterborough, NH, and four brother and sister in-laws, Dale and Marion
Shattuck of Littleton, Duane and Edith Priest of Colorado, Howard and Martha
(Lapsley) Priest of Clinton, and Darlene and Michael Bumpus of NY, and

Mrs. Rita M. (Bourgeois) Molligi of Andover,
MA formerly of North Chelmsford died August 19, 2001, at Academy Manor
Nursing Home in Andover, MA.
She was formerly married to the late Mr. Michael
Molligi.
Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada on
March 14, 1921, the daughter of the late Arthur and Vivian (Leblanc)Bourgeois.
She was a Certified Nursing Assistant and
was on staff at many Lynn area nursing homes. During World War II she was
employed with Boston Naval Ship Yard.
She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist
Church of North Chelmsford.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law
Joseph M. and Judith (Redding) Molligi of Lowell, four daughters and two
sons-in-law Ann M. and Peter Sannizzaro of Medford, MA, Carol A. and Michael
Angelari of Andover, MA, Michele M. Furtado of N. Chelmsford, Rose M. Molligi
of Hillsboro, NH, three brothers and a sister-in-law Albert and Ivy (Huffon)

also of Lynn, MA, two sisters and a brother-in-law Theresa Larson of Clinton,

She was the sister of the late Edgar Bourgeois,

Mr. Wilfredo Valentin age 38, of Lawrence,
MA, died August 21, 2001 at the Lowell General Hospital.
He was married to Robin Newcomb.
Born in Brooklyn, NY. On July 26, 1963 the
son of Evangelia (Cora) (Valentin) Galarza of Beaufort, SC., and the late
Jose Valentin. He was a graduate of a High School in Brooklyn, NY with
the class of 1981.
He was employed as a councilor with the Job
Corp. in Brooklyn, NY, and in 1992 came to Lawrence, MA and was employed
as a cashier with Little Peach Store on Andover St., in Lawrence, MA, and
then was a painter with the Gromley Painting Co. of Lowell, MA, and then
he worked as a custodian with the Lexington School System.
He was a volunteer cook with the Lazarus House
in Lawrence, MA.
Besides his wife and mother he is survived
by a daughter Amanda Valentin and a son William Valentin both of Lawrence,
MA, a sister Evelyn Cora of Brooklyn, NY, and a brother Hector Valentin
of Beaufort, SC.
He was the brother of the late Jose Lynn who
died in 1985 from Brooklyn, NY.

son of Peter and Irene (Noval) Nickologianis.
He was a graduate of Lowell High School with
the class of 1968 and attended Northern Essex Community College.
He was a self-employed carpenter who enjoyed,
playing pool, bowling, and baseball. He was a member of the Greek American
Club and the Past Time Club.

Mr. Raymond A. Deslauriers of Chelmsford,
MA, died August 17, 2001 at Lowell General Hospital.
He was married to the late Mary (Zanchi) Deslauriers
who died Oct. 20, 2000.
Born in Lowell, MA, on July 29, 1914, the
son of the late Irving and Victoria (Carpentier) Deslauriers. He
was educated in the Lowell School System.
He served with the U.S. Army during World
War II.
Over the years he was employed with John Pilling
Shoe Co., and the Lowell Shoe Co., both in Lowell, MA, and the Dody Shoe
Co. in Haverhill, MA, he also installed rails for the Boston & Maine
Rail Road in Lowell, MA.
He was a communicant of St. Jeanne d'Arc Church
and St. Rita's Church both in Lowell, MA.
He was a member of Mass. Army National Guard
in Lowell, MA, and was a former member of the Lowell Lodge of Elk's, and
the American Legion Tyngsboro Post # 247.
He is survived by a son-in-law Rene Cailler
of Nashua, NH, two granddaughters and their husband Lisa (Cailler) and
her husband Richard Beaton of Nashua, NH., and Brenda (Cailler) and her
husband Gary Fisher of Pelham, NH., and Two great grandsons, Nathan Beaton

MATRIARCH OF FIVE GENERATIONS
Mrs. Mary D. (St. Laurent) Helliwell of Tyngsboro,
died August 23, 2001 at her home.
She was married to the late Mr. James Helliwell.
Born in Manchester, NH, on February 21, 1909,
eldest daughter of the late Albert St. Laurent and Marie Demerise(Boutin)(St.
Laurent)Comtois. She was educated at St. Marie's School in Manchester.
She retired from Raytheon in Lowell
in 1974.
She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist
Church of North Chelmsford and active for more than 40 years on the social
committee and also worked the bingo.
A long-time resident of Tyngsboro, Mrs. Helliwell
loved to travel with her family, she and her husband also belonged to the
Track Town Trotters Square Dance Club in Salem, NH, for thirteen years.
Also an avid bingo player who played at all the local bingo's. Since she
was 2 yrs. old she enjoyed a friendly game of cards with family & friends.
She is survived by a son and his wife, George
A. and Kathleen Helliwell of Tyngsboro, Mary's caregivers with whom she
made her home, two daughters and their husbands, Doris Courtney and Eugene
Courtney of Attleboro, MA, and Linda and Daniel Runyard of Antioch, IL,
a daughter-in-law, Linda Helliwell of Attleboro, MA, a brother and his
wife, George St. Laurent and Laurette St. Laurent of Dracut, two sisters,
Mrs. Robert (Anna) Weibel of Radcliff, Kentucky, and Mrs. Leo (Alma) Lamoureux
of Lowell, and a beloved Nana to, twenty one grandchildren, thirty three
great-grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren, and the latest great
grandchild was born Aug. 22, 2001, as well as many cousins, nieces and
nephews and several dear friends.
She was the mother of the late James Helliwell

She was married to the late Edward M. Smolander
who died on May 3, 1985.
Born in Chelmsford, MA on Nov. 8, 1914, the
daughter of the Joseph O. and Justine (Gagnon) Gaudette. She was a graduate
of Chelmsford High School with the class of 1932.
Over the years she was employed with the Nichols
and Co. in North Chelmsford and she retired from the Phaneuf Printing Co.
in 1983.
She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist
Church, and in the past she was a member of the church's Blessed Virgin
Sodality, and she also enjoyed playing bingo at the church.
She is survived by a son George E. Smolander
of North Chelmsford, MA, and a sister Lucille Day of North Chelmsford,
MA, and two grandchildren Heather of Weymouth, MA, and George E. Smolander

Mr. George E. Ray, Jr. of Tyngsboro, MA died
August 27, 2001, at his home.
He was married to Mrs. Susan M. (Boumil) Ray
with whom he would have celebrated their 30th anniversary on June 29.
Born in New Gloucester, ME on Dec. 28, 1936,
the son of the late Mr. George E. and Mrs. Eleanor (Conley) Ray.
He was a graduate of Lowell High School with the class of 1955.
He served with the United States Naval Reserve
during the Korean Conflict.
Over the years he was employed with Electro Metals Co. in Chelmsford
as a sheet-metal worker, Andrew-Wilson Co. in Lawrence, Rockwell International
in Nashua, NH, and X-L Corp. in Nashua, NH retiring in 1999.
He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church
in Nashua, NH.
He was also a member of the Tyngsboro Sportsman's
Club, and an avid fisherman and pool player.
Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons,
Todd E. Ray of Tyngsboro, Vance and his wife Sandra Ray of Lowell, Stephen
Ray of Florida, and Kenneth Ray of Lowell, one daughter, Robbin Ray of

24, 2001.

the daughter of the late John M. and Mary Ellen (McMahon) McTeague.
She was a graduate of Chelmsford High School with the class of 1931, and
the Lowell Normal Teachers College with the class of 1935.
She taught school over the years at the South Row School in South Chelmsford,
and the Talbot School in Billerica until her retirement in 1978.
She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church.
She was a member of the Commonwealth Mass
Teacher's Union.

Mrs. Vivian A. (Holt) Pelletier of Tyngsboro,

She was married to Mr. Leo G. Pelletier who
died on Aug. 5, 1986.
Born in Nashua, NH on March 3, 1905, the daughter
of the late Harry and Florence (Carkin) Holt.
She attended the Nashua School System.
She was employed with the Tyngsboro Highway
Dept., Payroll Clerk for over 50 yrs. She was one of the first telephone
Operator's in Tyngsboro.
She was a communicant of St. Mary Magdalene's
Church in Tyngsboro, MA. and St. John the Evangelist's Church of Chelmsford,
MA.
She was a member of the Gold Star Mother's,
American Legion Woman's Auxiliary, Robert D. Pelletier American Legion
Post 247.
She is survived by one son, Joseph and his
wife Mary Lou (Drake) Pelletier of Tyngsboro, one daughter and her husband,
Arlene L. (Pelletier) and Raymond Williams of Gardner, MA., and a daughter-in-law
Anita (Cote) Pelletier of Windsor Flats, NH., and thirteen grandchildren,
twenty-seven great-grandchildren and twelve great-great-grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late David and Robert
Pelletier of Tyngsboro Douglas Pelletier of Windsor Flats, NH, and the

the daughter of the late Douglas and Gladys (Jay) Booth. She was educated
in the Canadian school system.
During World War II she was a riveter with
the National Car Co., and the Avro Air Craft Manufacturing Co. both in
Malton, ONT. Canada, working on the Lancaster Bomber.
She was a member of the Chelmsford Kingdom
Hall of Jehovah's Witness.
She enjoyed skiing and she also had
a green thumb

illness.

with whom she shared 43 years marriage.

of John F. Shea of Somerville, MA and Lorriane M. (Goguen) Shea of Concord,
MA. She attended St. Clemens School system in Somerville, MA. and
graduated with the class of 1955.
For over 20 years she was employed as a Branding
Technician with Silicon Transistor Corp. in Chelmsford, MA. retiring in
1999.
