Mr. Milton J. Haritas of Tyngsboro died Jan. 4, 2001 at the Lowell General Hospital. He was married to the late Mrs. Mary F. (Boucher) Haritas. Born in Lowell on Oct. 17, 1918, the son of the late William and Anna (Kouracou) Haritas. He was educated in the Lowell School System. He was employed with Yellow Cab Company, Vesper Country Club, and the Tyngsboro School System. He was a member of Tyngsboro Sportsman Club. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law William D. and Beverly (Nolet) Haritas of Hudson, NH, a brother and sister Michael Haritas of Newburyport and Florida, and Mary Korohakis of Lowell, three grandchildren Michael Haritas of Tyngsboro, Christina and her husband Charles Kalil of Lyndboro, NH, Sherri Lyn and her husband Jeffery Burleigh of Farmington, NH, three great-grandchildren Calvin and Colton Kalil of Lyndeborough, NH, and Naomi Burleigh of Farmington, NH. STANLEY EDWARD DEJNIAK OF WESTFORD
Mr. Stanley E. Dejniak of Westford died January 10, 2001 at Northwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Lowell. He was married to Mrs. Frances M. (Conrad) Dejniak with whom he would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 25, 2001. Born in Lowell on January 2, 1924, the son of the late Filip and Stephanie (Ufiel) Dejniak. He was a graduate of Lowell Vocational High School with the class of 1941. He served with the U.S. Marines during WWII, including the battle of Iwo Jima, he served his country faithfully for over 30 years and attained the rank of Master Sergeant. He was employed as a mechanic at Fort Devens until his retirement in 1980. He was a communicant of St. Catherine's Church of Westford. He was a member of Lowell Underwater Explorers Club, past member of the Polish / American VFW in Lowell, he enjoyed Boating and was an avid outdoorsman. Besides his wife Frances he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Philip C. and Susan (McCaffrey) Dejniak of Townsend, MA, a daughter Karen F. Tonkavitch of Andrews Air Force Base, MD, a brother Mitchell Dajniak of Leeberg, FL, two Sisters Vera Ziemba and Blanche Kasilowski both of Lowell, three grandchildren Stephen E. and Laurel L. Dejniak both of Townsend, MA, and Matthew Tonkavitch of Andrews Air Force Base, MD.

Miss. Linda L. Gurich of Billerica formerly of Chelmsford died January 11, 2001 of cancer at Tewksbury Hospital. Born in Arlington, MA on April 3, 1950, the daughter of Louis A. and Twyla B. (Hill) Gurich. She attended Chelmsford High School. She graduated from Cinderella Modeling School in Boston with the class of 1968. She was an avid swimmer. She was a member of the Parker House in Billerica and participated in many of the group activities. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church of Chelmsford. Besides her parents of Chelmsford she is survived by a brother Louis and his wife Marcie (Gillis) Gurich Jr. of Houston, TX, a nephew Doug Gurich of Austin, TX, a niece Thais Gurich of Houston, TX. She is also survived by many cousins.

Mrs. Helen P. (Pettine) Michaud of Londonderry, NH, and Naples, Fl., formerly of Chelmsford, MA died Jan. 14, 2001 at her home in Londonderry, NH. She was married to Mr. Norman P. Michaud with whom she celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on Oct. 11, 2000. Born in Fall River, MA on Nov. 16, 1932 the daughter of the late Louis and Helen (Scrivo) Pettine. She was a graduate of the Academy of the Sacred Heart High School with the class of 1951, and The Fall River Business College with the class of 1953. She was employed over the years as a secretary with Schall Associates in Burlington, MA, Purity Markets Executive Officers in Billerica, MA, and the Raytheon Corp. in Bedford, MA. She and her family had lived in Chelmsford, MA for over thirty years and then moved to summer in Londonderry, NH, and winter in Naples, FL. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Chelmsford, MA, St. Jude's Church in Londonderry, NH., and St. Ann's Church in Naples, Fl. Mrs. Pauline D. (LeBleu) Parke of Dracut died January 15, 2001 at the Genesis Westford Nursing Home. She was married to the late Mr. Albert A. Parke who died Nov. 26, 1981. Born in Lowell on Nov. 13, 1919, the daughter of the late Euclide and Alice (Maille) LeBleu. She attended Lowell Schools. She was employed with the A&P Food Store in Lowell, Stop & Shop food stores in Lowell, Nashua, NH, and Chelmsford, and the Eat A Donut Shop in Lowell. She was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church in Lowell, and St. Catherine's Church in Westford. She was a citizen of Lowell for most of her life, until moving to Dracut in 1991. She was an advisor to the Lowell Deanery C.Y.O. for many years, and was a recipient of the God in Youth award. She was the sister of the late Albert LeBleu of Lowell, and Rita Blowin of Bethesda, MD, and Robert Lebleu of Waynesboro, PA. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Frederick Parke of Dracut, and Albert A. and Constance (Keegan) Parke of N. Chelmsford, two daughters and a son-in-law, Audrey and Sidney Brandler of San Antonio, TX, and Janice Parke of Olney, MD, one brother, Arthur LeBLeu of Florida, 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Miss Sadie C. "Teddy" Boliss of Peabody, MA died Jan. 19, 2001 at the Lowell General Hospital. Born in Concord, NH on Mar. 3, 1911, the daughter of the late Alvin A. and Julia C. Smith. She was a graduate of Concord High School with the class of 1928. During World War II she volunteered with the Civil Defense Corp. in Boston, MA. Over the years she helped take care of many shut-ins. She enjoyed her gardening and flowers. She is survived by two nieces Judith Davis of Lowell, MA, and Georganna Stuart of Brownfield, ME, and three nephews Michael Boliss of Somerville, MA, Robert Boliss of Reading, MA, and George Boliss of Virginia Beach, VA, and several great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Margaret Goulabe of Peabody, MA who died in 1986, Mike Boliss of Somerville, MA who died in 2000, and George Boliss of Norwood, MA, who died in 1999.

Mr. Roland J. Boudreau of Chelmsford, MA died January 21, 2001 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford. He was married to the late Mrs. Agnes (Walsh) Boudreau who died on October 3, 1981. Born in Chazy, NY on March 13, 1903, the son the late Mr. and Mrs. John B. and Aurore (Phaneuf) Boudreau. He was a graduate of Lowell High School with the class of 1920 and later attended Boston University. He was the owner and operator of the Marlborough Market in Lowell. He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church of North Chelmsford, MA since 1932. He was a member of the prayer group at St. John's the Evangelist Church as well as a eucharistic minister. He is survived by his nephew, Joseph W., and his wife, Louise (Fay) Dyer of Chelmsford, two grandnieces, Kathleen Owens of Lowell, Maura Sorenson of Chelmsford, a grandnephew John J. Shugrue Jr. of Lowell and his first cousins, Paul Boudreau of Manchester and Lorraine L'Heureux of Lowell. He was the brother of the late Gilbert Boudreau of California and the late Beatrice and her husband, Leo LeSieur, of Montreal, Canada.

Born in Cleveland, OH, on Sept. 13, 1923 the daughter of the late Francis and Martha (Doyle) Kearney. She was a graduate of Lowell High School with the class of 1940, and received her B.A. in Teaching from Lowell State Teachers College, and received her Masters in Teaching from Fitchburg State Teachers College. She was a teacher, and taught at the Daley School in Lowell, MA, retiring in 1987. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Lowell, MA. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Golf Club, and Seaton Guild. Over the years she has lived in Cambridge, Somerville, Holbrook, and Lowell, MA. She was employed for over 40 years with the Sperry Rand Corp. in Dorchester, MA. retiring in 1974. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He co-owned and operated, a family business - Holovak & Coughlin Sporting Goods - in Arlington, MA, until his recent retirement. He was a communicant of St. Catherine's Church of Westford. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Nabanasset Lake Country Club in Westford, and a past member of the Chelmsford Lodge of Elks. She was married to Mr. Frederick Ryan with whom she would have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on Aug. 26. Born in Lowell, MA. on June 1, 1911, the daughter of the late Florance and Ethel (Crothers) Moriarty. She was educated in the Lowell School System. She was the owner operator of the Ryan Florist Shop in Lowell for many years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Lowell. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Country Club, and was an active member of the country clubs cribbage tournament, and the "45" tournament. She was a past member of the Lowell Florist Association, the Lowell Better Business Bureau. Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters Rene and her husband Donald Walsh of Lowell, MA., and Gail Beauchesne of Derry, NH., and two sons Rick and his wife Linda (Burke) Ryan of Lowell, and Jerry and his wife Patricia (Joyce) Ryan of Lowell, MA., two sisters Thelma and her husband William McCarthy of GA., and Shirley Deschaine of Chelmsford, MA., and a brother George and his wife Barbara Moriarty of Chelmsford, MA., and fourteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Miss Mary A. Dunlavey of Lowell died Feb. 12, 2000 at the Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell, MA. Born in Lowell, MA. on Feb. 27, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Myra (Mulroy) Dunlavey. For the greater part of her life, she was a resident of the Belvidere section of Lowell. She was a graduate of St. Michael's Grammar School, Lowell High School, and Lowell Commercial College. She was a retiree of the Internal Revenue Service in Andover, MA. She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church of Lowell, MA. She is survived by her brother Thomas and his wife Mona (McEnaney) Dunlavey of Pocasset, MA., her sister-in-laws Rita (Murphy) Dunlavey of North Chelmsford, Mary (Bell) Dunlavey of Lowell, MA., and Grace (Caveney) Dunlavey of Andover, MA., many nieces and nephews, among them are Patricia Scaplen, Rita Joan Dunlavey, Mary Mitchell-Dunlavey, & Gail Hirour, all of North Chelmsford, MA., Carol Aguiar of Tyngsboro, MA., Francis Dunlavey Jr. of Concord, NH., Thomas Dunlavey of Sarasota, Fl, James Dunlavey of Duri Camp, Indonesia Jo Ann Dunlavey of Andover, MA., Barbara O'Neil of Eastern, MA., George Dunlavey & Dennis Dunlavey of Lowell, MA., John Dunlavey of Broken Arrow, OK., Martin Dunlavey of Belmont, NH., Diane Dalphond and Brenda Cassella, both of Dracut, MA. She was the sister of the late Joseph Dunlavey of Dorchester, MA. who died in 1995, George Dunlavey of Lowell who died in 1984, & Francis Dunlavey of Chelmsford, MA. who died in 1994, and was the aunt of the late Kevin Dunlavey of Lowell, MA. who died in 1991.

RITA F. GRAVES OF LOWELL
Mrs. Rita F. (LaFlamme) Graves of Lowell, died February 13, 2000 at the Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell. Born in Lowell, on November 7, 1926, the daughter of the late Charles and Fabiola (Beaudette) LaFlamme. She was a graduate of Lowell High School and Middlesex Community College where she earned an Associates Degree. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William and Patricia Graves of Voorhees, NJ, a daughter, Cheryl Graves of Lowell, four brothers, Charles and his wife Phyllis LaFlamme, John and his wife Doris LaFlamme, and James LaFlamme all of Lowell, and Richard and his wife Gloria LaFlamme of Lowell and Florida, and two grandchildren, Peter and Daniel Graves. Cremation to take place at Linwood Crematory in Haverhill, MA. 

REV. W. RUSSELL HOOD JR. OF CHELMSFORD
Rev. W. Russell Hood Jr. of Chelmsford died Feb. 20, 2000 at the Genesis Westford House. He was married to Mrs. Dorothy A. (Shedd) Hood with whom he would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on Aug. 4, 2000. Born in Hesston, PA, on Aug. 14, 1927, the son of the late Whitmer R. and Lena (Briggs) Hood. He was a graduate of Huntington High School with the class of 1944. He received a Bachelor of Art's Degree from Eastern Nazarene College in 1950, a Bachelor of Divinity from Nazarene Theological Seminary, and a Masters in Education from Fitchburg State College. He served with the U.S. Marines during World War II, as an M.P. serving in the Pacific Theater In his early years he was an ordained minister of the Church of the Nazarene, severed as a Pastor in churches in Duluth, MN, and Wauseon, OH. For over twenty-six years he was employed as a science teacher with the Concord, MA. School system, retiring in 1985, and after his retirement, he was also a bookkeeper of accounts receivables with BOC. He has lived in Chelmsford for the past thirty-eight years and was a member, past treasurer, and Sunday school teacher of the Church of the Nazarene in Lowell, MA. He was a member of the Mass. Teachers Association. Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter and her friend Carolyn D. Webster and Kenneth E. Arsenault of Lawrence, MA, and a son and his wife David R. and Deborah (Morris) Hood of Dracut, MA, and one granddaughter Amber M. Webster of Chelmsford, MA, a sister and her husband Janet & Ronald Clites, three brothers and their wives William & Bonnie Hood, Robert & Dorothy Hood, Frank & Bonnie Hood, and a sister-in-law Joanne Hood all of Village of McConnels Town, PA, and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Harold Hood of Harrisburg, PA.

Mr. John F. LaFlamme of Lowell, died February 25, 2000 at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell. He was married to Mrs. Doris (Hetu) LaFlamme with whom he celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on December 11. Born in Lowell, on February 28, 1928, the son of the late Charles and Fabiola (Beaudette) LaFlamme. He was a graduate of the Lowell Trade School with the class of 1945. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was employed in the Trucking Industry with Teamsters Local #633 in Manchester, NH. He was a communicant of the Sacred Heart Church of Lowell. Mr. LaFlamme was an avid camper. Besides his wife he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John F. and Barbara J. (Barris) LaFlamme of Pepperell, a daughter and son-in-law, Gail M. and Ken R. Low of Hudson, NH, three grandchildren, Marc T. LaFlamme of Pepperell, and Ashley E. Low and Christopher K. Low both of Hudson, NH, three brothers, Charles and Phyllis LaFlamme of Lowell, Richard and Gloria LaFlamme of Lowell and Florida, and James LaFlamme of Lowell, and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Robert LaFlamme of Lowell, who died while serving his country during the Vietnam War, and Rita (LaFlamme) Graves of Lowell, who died February 13, 2000.

Mr. Robert L. Scott of Alton, NH, died February 18, 2000 at his home. He was married to the late Mrs. Edith M. (Gomes) Scott who died March 19, 1999. Born in Georgetown, KY, on January 30, 1922, the son of the late Joseph E. and Virginia (McCracken) Scott. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was employed with the Perkins Institute for the blind as a Machinist. He was a member of the Mason's since 1956, Ancon Lodge, A.F. & A.M., Balboa, Representative of Panama, the Alton Senior Citizens Club in Alton, NH, a life member of the VFW Post 11163, Alton, NH, the American Legion, Post 72 - Claude R. Batcheld - in Alton, NH, and the Fleet Reserve Association in Alexandria, VA. He is survived by a son, Robert L. Scott, Jr., of Acton, MA, a brother, Joseph Scott of Chicago, IL, two sisters, Ruth Heath of California, and Dorothy Makepeace of Kentucky, two sisters-in-law, Olive Looney of Chelmsford, MA, and Isabel Freitas of Rochester, NY, and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Montana D. Som of Lowell died Feb. 28, 2000 at the Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell. He was married to Mrs. Samin Suop with whom he would have celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary this year. Born in Cambodia on July 5, 1959, he was the son of and Nuon Pich of San Diego, CA, and the late Som Youn. He was educated in a California Trade School where he achieved a General Education Diploma. He was employed with Media-100 as a Telecommunications Technician. Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Samonn Som and Sameth Som both of Lowell, a daughter Chantan Yon of Lowell, a brother Navy Younn of San Diego, CA, three sisters, Sitep Yon, Siton Younn and Silum Younn all of San Diego, CA, and several nieces and nephews.
