Mrs. June F. (Thompson) Kennedy, 70 of Haverhill, died Wednesday, Dec. 4th, at the Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital.
She was born in North Andover, June 22, 1932, daughter of the late William H. and Margaret (Spence) Thompson.
Educated in the Haverhill Public Schools, she had attended the Haverhill High School.
Prior to her retirement in l991 she had been employed for over 35 years by AT&T in North Andover, now Lucent Technologies. She had also worked in the local shoe industry.
Mrs. Kennedy was married to the late Robert B. Kennedy who died in l988, and her survivors include 4 brothers Donald W. Thompson , Kenneth G. Thompson , William H. III, Douglas F. Thompson, all of Haverhill, two sisters Mrs. Joseph (Marjorie P.) Boudreau of Haverhill, Margaret I. Etter both of Haverhill, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Warren H. Thompson.
Calling hours and funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 6th, at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home 106 Summer St. Haverhill.

David A. Mansfield
November 29, 2002
David A. Mansfield, 48, of Haverhill, died Friday, November 29th, at his residence after a long illness.
He was born in Andover on Nov. 2, 1954, son of the late Robert and Janice (Cooper) Mansfield.
Mr. Mansfield was educated locally and attended several colleges. He was employed as an electronic technician at Digital until his illness a few years ago.
He is survived by his daughter Karen E. White of Springfield, Missouri, a son Robert T. Mansfield II, 4 grandchildren, Thomas Dean White, Jamie D. White, Christopher A. White, and Jessica B. White, all of Springfield, Missouri.
Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Demetra Bratiotis
November 27, 2002
Demetra Bratiotis, 90, of Haverhill, died Wednesday, Nov. 27th, at Penacook Place in Haverhill.
She was born in Haverhill on July 31, 1912, daughter of the late Dionisios and Glekeria (Dumas) Bratiotis.
A lifelong resident of the city, she graduated from Haverhill High School, Class of 1931. She then graduated from MacIntosh Business School, where she later taught. Demetra was a Bank Officer at Haverhill National Bank for 30 years.
She was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Apostles Saints Peter & Paul, in Haverhill. She was also past treasurer of the Haverhill City Club.
She is survived by a sister Mary Bratiotis of Haverhill, and several nieces and nephews. Demetra was the sister of the late Christos Bratiotis and Cleopatra Katsaros.
Her funeral was held on Monday, Dec. 2nd, at the Holy Apostles Church, 154-156 Winter St., Haverhill. Burial was in the Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
An hour of visitation preceded the funeral Monday morning at the Bradford Funeral Home.

Beatrice (Manogian) Aghoian
November 26, 2002
Mrs. Beatrice (Manogian) Aghoian, 88, a 68-year resident of Methuen, died Tuesday, Nov. 26th, at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
She was born in Springfield, MA on Sept. 5, 1914, daughter of the late Samuel and Elmas (Arakelian) Manogian.
Mrs. Aghoian was a member of St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church and it's Ladies Aid in Haverhill. She was a frequent traveler, enjoyed playing cards, was active in many church functions and loved her family.
She was the wife of the late Martin Shavarsh Aghoian, who died Dec. 11, 1981, and is survived by 2 sons Richard M. Aghoian and his wife Sheila of N. Andover, Allen A. Aghoian and his wife Darlene of Methuen, daughter, Estelle A. and her husband Aram Bogosian of Andover, 5 grandchildren, Brian A. Bogosian, Cynthia K. Mimno, Sherry L. Aghoian, Douglas R. Aghoian, and Kerry-Anne Aghoian, and 3 great grandchildren.
Her funeral was held on Saturday, Nov. 30th, at St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church, 110 Main St., Haverhill. Burial was in the Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
Calling hours at the funeral home were held on Friday evening.

Diego A. Catalli
November 24, 2002
Mr. Diego A. Catalli, 71 of 54 Orange St. Haverhill, died Monday, Nov. 24th, at the Merrimack Valley Hospital.
He was born in Beverly, Nov 29, 1930, son of the late Carlo and Antoinette (Ruggeri) Catalli.
Educated in the Beverly Public School System, he was a Graduate of Beverly High School, class of l948.
A Naval Veteran he served in the United States Navy on Submarines Service from l947-l951, and later became a Seabee from l952-l954 serving in the Korean Conflict.
In l992 he relocated to Haverhill, and had been employed for 17 years at U.S.M. Corp,, had also been employed for many years as a salesman at the former Weiner Furniture, and after his retirement worked at E Z Way Cleaners.
He was a member of the First Congregational Church, the Vittori Rocci Post #56 Italian American War Vets of Beverly for over 39 years.
His survivors include his wife Barbara A. (Seymour) Catalli of Haverhill, two daughters Susan L. Catalli-Woods of Haverhill, Mrs. Edmund R. (Robin A.) LeClair of Boxford, a son, Anthony J. Catalli of Holliston, MA, sister Josephine Vandi of Beverly, 8 grandchildren Joseph Amanda and Stephanie LeClair, Stephen Woods, Courtney Woods-Roy, Jeffrey Woods, Christopher Catalli Nicole Catalli, one Great Grandchild Dylan Roy, and his dog Holly.
His funeral was held on Saturday, Nov. 30th, at the First Congregational Church, Haverhill.  Burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford.
Calling hours at the Bradford Funeral Home were held on Friday afternoon and evening.

Mary (Tuohy) Gleason

Mrs. Mary (Tuohy) Gleason, 79, of Haverhill, died Sunday, Nov. 24th, at the Merrimack Valley Hospital, Haverhill.
She was born in New York City, April 15, 1923 daughter of the late Patrick and Mary (Huddy) Tuohy.
Mrs. Gleason was educated in New York and graduated from St. Barnabus High School, Yonkers, NY.
While in New York, Mrs. Gleason was employed at Robert Gare Company.
She came to Haverhill in 1958, and was a member of Sacred Hearts Church, Bradford.
Mrs. Gleason was the wife of Thomas G. Gleason of Haverhill, with whom she celebrated 54 years of marital bliss, and her survivors also include 4 sons, Atty. Scott F. Gleason and his wife Patricia J. of Haverhill, Capt. Michael K. Gleason and his wife Robynn L. of Leonardtown, MD, Atty. Thomas J. Gleason and his wife Susanne P. of Amesbury, Atty. Sean P. Gleason and his wife Mary Ellen of Haverhill, 2 daughters, Mary T. Gleason of Wakefield, Patricia G. and her husband Jon Ahern of Scottsdale, AZ, 2 sisters, Mrs. Claire Powers of Chappaqua, NY, and Mildred and her husband Fred Milligan of Pleasantville, NY, 12 grandchildren, Wesley M. Gleason, Patrick T. Gleason and Jeffrey S. Gleason all of Leonardtown, MD, Kala P. Gleason, Shane T. Gleason, and Patrick D. Gleason all of Amesbury, Jack Ahern, Mary M. Ahern, K. Scout Ahern and Margaret M. Ahern all of Scottsdale, AZ, Molly E. Gleason and Michael G. Gleason both of Haverhill.
Mrs. Gleason was the mother of the late Gregory T. Gleason, and sister of the late Francis and Arthur Tuohy.
Her Funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, Nov. 27th, at Sacred Hearts Church, Bradford.  Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford.

Margaret L. (Hall) Manning

Mrs. Margaret L. (Hall) Manning, 73, of Bradford, died Sunday, Nov. 24th, at the Holy Family Hospital, Methuen.
She was born in Blairsville, PA, November 19, 1929, daughter of the late Francis and Helen (Artley) Hall.
Mrs. Manning moved to Ohio at an early age and was educated in the Rossford, OH, School System, graduating from Rossford High, class of 1946.
She attended Mercy School of Nursing, Toledo, OH, as well as Case Western Reserve School of Nursing, Cleveland, OH, from where she received her BA in 1952.
Form 1952 until 1958 she was employed as a nurse for Aramco Corporation, in Saudi Arabia. From 1972 until 1980 she was employed as a Maternity Supervisor at the Hale Hospital, Haverhill. Then, form 1985 to 1999 she was employed at the IRS, Andover, from where she retired.
From 1959 to 1960 she lived in Paris, from 1960 to 1962 she resided in Melbourne, Australia, 1963 to 1964 in Hamilton, Bermuda, from 1965 to 1966, Freeport, Grand Bahamas Islands.
She was the wife of the late John Henry Manning who died in 1980 and her survivors include a son, John and his wife Kim Manning of Plaistow, NH, a daughter, Helen Manning of Bradford, a brother, Gerald Hall of Rossford, OH, 3 grandchildren, Hannah M. Manning, William Christopher Manning and John Henry Manning, a niece and a nephew.
Her funeral service was held on Friday, Nov. 29th, at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill.  Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford.
A visitation period preceded the funeral service on Friday.

Frank E. White, Sr.
November 24, 2002
Mr. Frank E. White, 74, of Haverhill, died Sunday, Nov. 24th, at his home.
He was born in Haverhill, Sept. 13, 1928, son of the late Frank E. and Julia (Gaquin) White.
Mr. White was educated in the Haverhill School System and graduated from Haverhill Trade School.
For over 40 years he was employed as a machinist at Braley & Walker, Haverhill. 
Mr. White was a member of the Liberty Club, Haverhill Ridge Runners, and enjoyed playing with his dog Sunshine.
He is survived by his children, Joseph White of Haverhill, Donna Shaw of Bradford, Linda Sanborn of Haverhill and their mother, Loretta Cincotta of Haverhill, also, Eric Comeau and his mother, Patricia E. Comeau of Haverhill, 3 brothers, Richard and John White of NH, Arnold White of Haverhill, 2 sisters, Alice McNeil of Haverhill, Florence Crowe of NH, 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, and his dear friend Connie Egan of Bradford.
Mr. White was also the brother of the late William White.
His funeral service was held on Wednesday, Nov. 27th, at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St., Bradford.  Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford.

Dorothy M. Bacigalupo

Mrs. Dorothy M. (DeCosta) Bacigalupo, 71 of Washington St. Haverhill, died Monday, Nov. 23rd, at the Merrimack Valley Hospital.
She was born in Haverhill, Jun 7, 1931, daughter of the late Wesley A. and Helen (Curry) DeCosta, and was educated in the Haverhill Public School System.
For many years she was employed as a House Keeper at the former Pleasant View Nursing Home that was located on Washington St., and later became the Baker Katz Nursing Home on Boardman St.
She was a member of the Portland St. Baptist Church, and the New Rescue C.B. Club of Haverhill.
Her survivors include her husband John Henry Bacigalupo Sr. of Haverhill, two sons. John Henry Bacigalupo Jr. of Japan, James Michael Bacigalupo of Haverhill, two daughters Miss Margaret A. Bacigalupo of Haverhill, Mrs. Joseph (Mary A.) Pina of Haverhill, a brother Richard J. DeCosta of Kingston, NH, r sisters Mrs. Frederick (ChristineM. )Peavey of Sanbornville, NH, Mrs. Eleanor L. Bergeron of Ca. Mrs. Jake (Margaret A. Petty of Ga. Mrs. Merrill, (Nancy A. )Arnold of Haverhill a step sister Shirley DeCosta of Springfield, MA, 7 Grandchildren 1 great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

Harry G. Thomas, Sr.
November 22, 2002
Mr. Harry G. Thomas, Sr., 90, of Haverhill died Friday, Nov. 22nd, at the Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill.
Mr. Thomas was born in Green Cove Springs, FL on April 22, 1912, son of the late John Henry Thomas and Carrie Daniel.
Mr. Thomas moved to Haverhill with his family at the age of 6 and has been a resident of the city since. He was educated in the Haverhill School System, and was a well-known and talented "Prize Fighter" throughout New England. Mr. Thomas was a merchant marine and was employed at the Haverhill Paperboard in Bradford, Baldpate in the 1940's, and Borden Chemical Co. from which he retired in 1982. Mr. Thomas volunteered to help many shut-ins, bringing them food.
Mr. Thomas was the oldest member and deacon at the Calvary Baptist Church in Haverhill and was presented the "Father of the Year Award" this year. He was a lifetime member of the Crescent Yacht Club in Bradford, member of the Elks in Newport, RI.
He was the husband of the late Catherine (Waller) Thomas who died in 1972, and his survivors include 2 sons, Harry G. Thomas, Jr. and his wife Margaret of Lynn, John R. Thomas and his companion Sandra Strong of Haverhill, 2 daughters, Jane E. Fultz and her husband Louis of Haverhill and Sandra T. Faust of Methuen, a brother, Leo H. Thomas of Haverhill, a sister-in-law, Trudy Thomas of Port Chester, NY, 6 granddaughters, 12 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 
His funeral was held Tuesday, Nov. 26th, at the Calvary Baptist Church, 13 Ashland St., Haverhill. Burial was in the Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.

Frederick W. Pracht, Sr.
November 21, 2002
Mr. Frederick W. Pracht, Sr., 64, of Boxford, died Thursday, Nov. 21st, at his home.
He was born in St. Louis, MO, March 2, 1938, son of the late Frederich W. and Irma (Schwald) Pracht.
Mr. Pracht moved to New York at an early age and was educated in the New York School System, graduating from Berne High School in New York. He later attended New York Maritime Academy where he earned a Degree in Engineering.
For 39 years he was employed at General Electric, Lynn, until his retirement. After his retirement he served as a consultant for GE.
A Boxford resident for 35 years, he was a member of West Boxford Congregational Church.
His survivors include his wife of 35 years, Muriel (Norton) Pracht of Boxford, 2 sons, Clifton K. Pracht of Boxford, and Frederick W. Pracht, Jr. of Seattle, WA, a daughter, Nicole M. and her husband Chauncey Scales of Seattle, WA, 2 sisters, Erika Viskup of Tavares, FL, and Anne Marie Acosta of Middletown, NJ, and several nieces and nephews.
His memorial service was held on Saturday, Dec. 7th, at the West Boxford Congregational Church.

Mary D. (O'Brien) Schaefer

Mrs. Mary D. (O'Brien) Schaefer, 77, of Haverhill, died early Thursday, Nov. 21st, at Penacook Place in Haverhill.
She was born in Somerville, MA, on December 26, 1924, daughter of the late Daniel F. and Katherine M. (Jennings) O'Brien.
She was educated in both Cambridge and Somerville Schools and had attended Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School. She was employed for 22 years for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as Head Administrative Assistant, retiring in 1979.
She was a former resident of Andover, ME, and Ocala, FL, prior to moving to Haverhill in 1998.
Mrs. Schaefer was a member of Sacred Hearts Church in Bradford.
She was the wife of the late Robert F. Schaefer, and is survived by a daughter Kathleen M. and her husband Thomas Kirchmyer of Franklin, MA, sons Robert F. Schaefer and his wife Helene of Barnstable, MA, Philip A. Schaefer and his wife Donna of Framingham, MA, and Daniel K. Schaefer and his wife Cynthia of Haverhill, 2 brothers Francis T. O'Brien of Somerville, MA, and Edmund D. O'Brien of Randolph, MA, Eileen P. Dowcett of Stoneham, MA, and Helen K. Hedrington of Hyannis, MA, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Mass was held Saturday, Nov. 23rd, at Sacred Hearts Church, So. Main St., Bradford. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in the Hillside Cemetery, Haverhill.

Roger E. Wilson

Mr. Roger E. Wilson, 74, of Bradford, died Thursday, Nov. 21st, at the Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill.
He was born in Haverhill on February 9, 1928, son of the late Edward and Emma (Fox) Wilson.
A lifelong resident of the city, Mr. Wilson graduated from Haverhill High School, with the Class of 1946. He then went on to receive his master's degree from Boston University. From 1946 to 1948 Mr. Wilson served in the U.S. Navy. He was employed at Western Electric for 37 years retiring in 1990, and had also taught Personnel Management at Northern Essex Community College.
Mr. Wilson was a member of the First Church of Christ in Bradford. For past 17 years, Roger and his wife Shirley have been summer residents of Hampton, NH.
In addition to his wife of 50 years Mrs. Shirley A. (Staples) Wilson, he is survived by a son Gary S. Wilson and his wife Karla of Lynn, MA, 4 daughters, Lynne D. and her husband Mark Barnes of Haverhill, Jayne L. and her husband Raymond Stewart of Haverhill, Susan C. Wilson of Methuen, and Sandra J. and her husband Kenneth LeBlanc of Haverhill, a sister, Maxine and her husband Norman Delisle of Hampton, NH, 8 grandchildren, 2nd Lt. Charles R. Stewart, Lee Stewart, Sarah Stewart, Michael Stewart, Matthew Barnes, Michael Barnes, Jeff LeBlanc, and Joseph LeBlanc, and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral was held on Tuesday Nov. 26th, at the First Church of Christ, 10 Church St., Bradford. Burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford.
