Eva (Siomos) Coios

Mrs. Eva (Siomos) Coios 85 of Haverhill, and formerly of Manchester, NH, died Tuesday evening at the Merrimack Valley Hospital.
She was born in Manchester, NH, Dec. 30, 1918, daughter of the late Constantine and Marina (Panousiou) Siomos, was educated in the Manchester Public Schools and attended the Manchester Institute Of Art.
Mrs. Coios was employed in the shoe industry in Haverhill and Manchester and was a Fancy Stitcher at the former Liberty Shoe, and while working at the former Johnson and Marker worked on the first sample for the Nike Sneaker. She had also been employed at the former Western Electric.
During World War II she was involved in the manufacturing of Boots for the United States Army. Her interest includes reading and painting and she was a recipient of arts awards from the Haverhill Arts Association.
Mrs. Coios was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church Of The Holy Apostles Sts. Peter and Paul, the Elpis Society at the Church, the Women's City Club and the Pentalofos Society.
Mrs. Coios was married to the late Peter Coios who died in Nov. 2003, and her survivors include a son Christos Coios two daughters Alexandra M.C. and her husband Stelios P. Dimou, Patricia G. Coios, all of Haverhill., 3 sisters including her twin sister Lena Papaharis of New Canaan, CT., Florence George of Manchester, Lucy Glaros of San Jose Ca., a brother Peter Siomos of Lunenburg brother and sister in laws Constantine Routos, Robert Papaharis, Ourania Tsoufas, Marigoula Samara, and several nieces and nephews.
She was also predeceased by her siblings Anthony Siomos, Christine Routos, and Kerry Siomos.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the Funeral Saturday at 10 a.m. from the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home 106 Summer ST., followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. at the Greek Orthodox Church Of The Holy Apostles.  Burial will be in the Linwood Cemetery.
Calling hours at the Funeral Home will be Friday afternoon and evening from 4-8.

Unabelle M. (Cammett) Bartlett

Mrs. Unabelle M. (Cammett) Bartlett, 93 passed away on Feb. 15, 2004 at the Hannah Duston Healthcare Center in Haverhill, MA. Following a period of declining health.
Born March 14, 1910 in South Hampton, NH she graduated in l927 from Amesbury High School.
Unabelle lived for many years in the Lake Attitash Neighborhood in Merrimac, MA. She worked as an accountant for over 60 years in many local automotive businesses and retired at the age of 89. She then enjoyed many friendships while residing at Haverhill Crossings for the past five years. Unabelle traveled throughout her life and in addition to seeing most of America and Canada, she also visited England, France, Spain and Hawaii. She enjoyed a good lobster dinner with her family on any occasion and was fond of spending time with her twin grandniece and nephews. She will be missed by those who knew and lover her.
She is survived by her nephews and nieces Bob March, and his wife Marianne and their children, Amanda, and Anthony of Portsmouth, NH, Judi March, Maureen March-Anglas and her husband Ted of Stoughton, MA, Jerry March of Clearwater, FL. Richard March and his wife Linda of Halifax, MA. Gene Cammett and his wife Joanne of Ohio, Several grand nieces and nephews and many friends.

Russell Clayton Clough

Mr. Russell Clayton Clough, 42, of Derry, NH died unexpectedly Saturday morning at his residence.
He was born in So. Weymouth, MA on April 23, 1961. He was educated in the Groveland schools and graduated from the Pentucket Regional High School in W. Newbury, Class of 1979.
He was employed as a glazier and was a member of the Glazier & Glass Workers Local Union 1044 Boston. He has resided in Derry for the past year and prior was a 17 year resident of Lawrence.
Russell was an active musician and enjoyed fishing, boating and martial arts.
He was the son of the late Gerald E. Clough and is survived by his mother Genevieve L. Clough of Groveland, MA daughter, Tiffany L. Clough of Derry, NH, sons Gary F. Arthur and Christopher G. Arthur both of Lawrence, MA, brothers, Jay F. Green of Kensington, NH, Thomas G. Clough of Groveland, and Raymond Clough of Dracut, MA, sisters Debra L. Green of Portland, ME and Lorain M. Segars of Bowdoin, ME, and several nieces and nephews.

Frances (Casten) Rutman

Mrs. Frances (Casten) Rutman, 89, of Haverhill, died early Saturday morning at Hannah Duston in Haverhill.
She was born in Haverhill on February 1, 1915, daughter of the late Israel and Rose (Blotner) Casten.
Mrs. Rutman was educated in the Haverhill school system and graduated from Haverhill High School. She was the owner and operator of Frimi's Sport Shop for many years.
Mrs. Rutman was a member of Temple Emanu-El in Haverhill.
She was the wife of the late Hyman Rutman who died August 8, 2002. Her survivors include a niece Ginger Norton of Martha's Vineyard, 2 nephews, Elliot Casten of Palm Bay, FL, and Steven Casten of Fort Collins, CO.
She was the sister of the late Maurice, George, and Gertrude Casten.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral Sunday, Feb. 15th, at 11:30 at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Burial will follow in the Children of Israel Cemetery, Haverhill.

Margaret J. (Sheehan) Dondero

Mrs. Margaret J. (Sheehan) Dondero, 94, of Haverhill died Friday at the Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill.
She was born in Haverhill on November 1, 1909, daughter of the late John T. and Johannah (Cronin) Sheehan.
She was educated in Haverhill attending St. James Grammar School and graduating from St. James High School. She resided in Haverhill and Bradford most of her life and for a short time lived in Amesbury. Mrs. Dondero worked at the former Western Electric in No. Andover for many years and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
She was an active member of St. James Church in Haverhill and was a member of Our Lady of Rosary Sodality at St. James Church.
She was the wife of the late Stephen L. Dondero, who died September 16, 1966, and is survived by a cousin Marion Cronin of Haverhill as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass Wednesday morning at 10:00 at St. James Church, Winter St., Haverhill. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Haverhill.
An hour of visitation will precede the Funeral Mass Wednesday from 8:30-9:30 at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St., Bradford.

Edward N. Lynn Jr.

Mr. Edward N. Lynn Jr. 71 of Newton, NH died Feb 12 at his residence.
He was born in Malden, June 17, 1932 and was educated in the Malden Grammar Schools.
In l941 he moved to Newton NH, where he attended Newton High, Sanborn Seminary, and the University of New Hampshire where he received his BA in Psychology.
Prior to his retirement he had been employed at the Polaroid Camera Company and Kolter Systems Manufacturing Company. 
His survivors include a daughter Kathy Lynn Arsenault of Columbia, CT. a brother Albert Lynn , of Newton, NH, a sister Doris Noble of Tavernier FL 1 grandson Scott Arsenault, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be at the convenience of the family.

Mr. Douglas E. Jones, 30, of Haverhill, died Thursday evening at the Merrimack Valley Hospital, Haverhill.
He was born in Haverhill, December 8, 1973, son of Anne (Gouthier) Hill of Haverhill and the late Emery Jones.
Mr. Jones was educated in the Haverhill School System and enjoyed spending time with his son.
Besides his mother his survivors include his wife, Kathleen (O'Flaherty) Jones of Haverhill, a son, Danyael A. Jones of Haverhill and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Donald E. Danforth

Mr. Donald E. Danforth, 70, of Haverhill, died unexpectedly Wednesday at Caritas Holy Family Hospital, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Haverhill, September 26, 1933, son of the late Harvey and Evelyn (Sayers) Danforth.
For over 30 years he was employed at Cabot House Furniture, Amesbury.  Mr. Danforth enjoyed camping, collected model cars and was a member of the Zodiac Club, Haverhill.
His survivors include his wife of 52 years Gerry (Law) Danforth of Haverhill, 4 daughters, Cheryle Danforth of Haverhill, Donna Spencer of Newton, NH, Susan and her husband Craig Curley of Plaistow, NH, Janine Danforth of Haverhill, 4 brothers, Earl of Haverhill, Harold of Manchester, NH, David of Clearwater, FL, Norman of NY, 6 sisters, Barbara Lawrence of Atkinson, NH, Shirley Page of Atkinson, NH, Evelyn Gulledge of Shrewsbury, Dorothy Ridlon of Salisbury, Linda Kinnison of Dover, NH, Sandra Pontbriand of Dover, NH, his mother-in-law, Emily Law of Haverhill, 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Dorothy H. (Callahan) Logan, 80, a resident of East Kingston, NH died Tuesday morning in Cape Carteret, NC.
She was born in East Boston, MA on October 12, 1923, daughter of the late Thomas P. and Ellen C. (Dahlin) Callahan.
Mrs. Logan was educated in Malden graduating from Malden High School, Class of 1940. She moved to Lawrence in 1966, then to East Kingston in 1987, where she has resided since.
Mrs. Logan was an accountant at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen until her retirement in 1988.
She was the wife of the late Francis P. Logan who died in 1993, and is survived by a son Michael Logan and his wife Beverly of E. Kingston, NH, a daughter Cheryl and her husband John Doyle of Plaistow, NH, a sister Joyce Lister of Rochester, NH, 5 grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Marion (Sawyer) Dragon

Mrs. Marion (Sawyer) Dragon, 78, of Haverhill and formerly of Lawrence, died Tuesday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Methuen.
She was born in Hartford, Vermont, January 2, 1926, daughter of the late Philip and Lucy (Williams) Sawyer. Mrs. Dragon was educated in the Vermont School System.
Mrs. Dragon moved to the Lawrence area in 1945, and, until her retirement, was employed for several years as an auditor for the Internal Revenue Service, Boston and Andover.
After retirement, Mrs. Dragon was a crossing guard for the City of Lawrence.
Mrs. Dragon enjoyed the mountains, skiing, trips to Foxwoods, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Her survivors include her husband of 59 years, Alphonse Dragon of Haverhill, a daughter, Patricia and her husband David Brown of Haverhill, 2 sisters, Barbara and her husband Roger Fillian of Oak Hurst, NJ, Beverly and her husband Peter Cummings of Pepperell, 2 granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews.

Rudolph "Rudy" Ottaviani

Mr. Rudolph "Rudy" Ottaviani, 92, of Haverhill died early Monday morning at the Caritas Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
He was born in Haverhill on August 1, 1911, son of the late Severino and Annie (Taglieri) Ottaviani.
Mr. Ottaviani moved to Italy at an early age and resided there for 13 years returning back to Haverhill where he has been a resident since. He was educated in the Haverhill Schools and was employed at Coppola Trucking Co. for many years. He also had worked part-time at the former Merrimack News Co. on Howe St. in Haverhill.
Mr. Ottaviani attended St. James Church in Haverhill. He coached the Pentucket Little League for many years, was a dedicated fan and supporter of the Haverhill High School Athletic Program, and was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years Mrs. Sarah P. (Sinclair) Ottaviani, sons and their wives R. John Ottaviani and Mary Ellen, George C. Ottaviani and Barbara, Steven A. Ottaviani and Diane, all of Haverhill, 6 grandchildren, Mary S. Ottaviani, Ann Marie McKeown, John R. Ottaviani, Kathleen E. Ottaviani, Cara L. Ottaviani, and Angela Brie, 1 great grandson, Jake A. Ottaviani, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Lorraine E. (Belanger) Gage

Mrs. Lorraine E. (Belanger) Gage, 74, of Haverhill, died Saturday afternoon at her home.
She was born in Haverhill, March 10, 1929, daughter of the late George A. and Dora E. (Trottier) Belanger.
A lifelong resident of the city, Mrs. Gage was educated in the Haverhill School System and graduated from Haverhill High, class of 1946.
For 26 years she was employed as a legal secretary for the late Atty. Moses Shyavitz and the late Atty. Theodore Schiavoni.
Since 1982 she and her late husband owned and operated "The Frame Shop" in Haverhill.
She was the wife of the late Merlin O. Gage who died in 1997 and her survivors include a daughter, Marlene J. Gage and her significant other Donald L. Watts of Plaistow, NH, a son, Robert J. Gage and his wife Maureen of Haverhill, 2 brothers, Donald A. Belanger of Haverhill, Gilbert E. Belanger of Haverhill, a grandson, Matthew R. Gage of Haverhill and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Gage was also the sister of the late Kenneth R. Belanger who died in 2003.

Anna (Sidman) Pollack

Anna (Sidman) Pollack, age 90, formerly of Haverhill, passed away in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 4, 2004. 
Born in Cranston, R.I., on August 18, 1913, Anna was the daughter of the late Celia and Sam Sidman. She grew up in Bellows Falls, Vermont, and attended Bellows Falls public Schools.
With her family, she later moved to Salem, Massachusetts, and then to Haverhill after her marriage in 1939. For more than three decades, Anna worked as a dental assistant, helping to build her husbandís dental practice in Haverhill. She was also a talented artist and a member of the Haverhill Artists Association. Anna had been a member of Temple Emanuel, of the Haverhill Chapter of Hadassah, and of the National Council of Jewish Women. 
In 1993, Anna and her husband retired and moved to Florida, living first in Lake Worth and later in Key Biscayne. Following her husbandís death, Anna moved to San Francisco and later to Cincinnati.
Anna was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Malvin M. Pollack, who passed away in 1995. She is survived by her children, Elaine Pollack Hebborn, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Aliza Pollack Cohen, also of Cincinnati, and Stewart Pollack, of San Francisco, California; by her grandchildren Aaron Sinder, Chari Rosenberg, Joshua Cohen, Leah Cohen, and Wendy Hebborn Trout; by her great grandchildren, Max and Jonah Rosenberg, Dawniella and Noah Sinder, and Koby Trout; and by her brother, Max Sidman, of Peabody. Anna was the adored mother-in-law of Hirsh Cohen, Elizabeth Pollack, and the late Dr. Peter Hebborn.
Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. at the H.L. Farmer and Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer Street, in Haverhill.  Burial will be at Children of Israel Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Anna may be to the charity of oneís choice.

Pauline J. Brooks

Mrs. Pauline J. Brooks, 98, a lifelong resident of Haverhill, died Feb 1, in Haverhill.
She was married to the late Robert A. Brooks and was employed at the Pentucket Bank prior to her retirement.
She leaves a son Bob, daughter-in-law Evelyn, two granddaughters Laurie and Lynda, four great grandchildren Meghan, Paige, Kara and Michael.
Pauline had many friends and enjoyed their friendship and the good times around the kitchen table.
For over forty years her closest and best friend was Judy Wengel of Plaistow. Dick Wengel and their children Kristine, Rick were part of this relationship.
Services and interment will be at the convenience of the family.

Panfilius R. Berardi

Mr. Panfilius R. Berardi, 91, of Lexington, died Thursday, Jan. 29, at Memorial Regional Hospital, Hollywood, FL.
He was born in Italy, May 4, 1912, son of the late Guiseppe and Angela (Ventresca) Berardi.
Mr. Berardi came to the United States in 1920, residing in Boston's North End. He was educated in the Boston School System.
During World War II he served in the United States Army.
For several years he was employed as a salesman at Central Furniture and, until his retirement, at Rapids Furniture Company.  Mr. Berardi enjoyed opera and cooking.
His survivors include his wife of 32 years, Athena (Frangules) Berardi of Lexington, a daughter, Pamela and her husband Glenn Stafford of Simi Valley, CA, 2 brothers, Tullio and his wife Dorothy Berardi of Marshfield, Al and his wife Betty Berardi of Ocala, FL, 2 sisters, Teresa and her husband John Leo of Everett, Gloria and her husband Thomas Coyle of Braintree, a granddaughter, Nicole Stafford of Simi Valley, CA and several nieces and nephews.

Raymond D Segeberg, Sr.

 Raymond D. Segeberg Sr., 77 of Liverpool Pa and formerly Haverhill MA, died Jan 27th, in Liverpool, PA.
He was born in Haverhill, MA Jan 18,m 1927, son of the late Edward W. and Dora (Bishop) Segeberg, was educated in the Haverhill Public Schools and attended Haverhill High School.  During World War II he served in the United States Navy.
For many years he was employed at the former Greenberg Leather, and was a warehouse Manager for Elliots, and Sutherlands in Lawrence. After his retirement he was employed at Towne Taxi in Haverhill.
He was a member of the Church Of Latter Day Saints in Georgetown, the Am Vets Post #147 of Haverhill, and enjoyed bowling and baseball. He also studied Genealogy.
He was married to the late Shirley M. (Goodrich) Segeberg who died in May of 2003, and his survivors include three sons, Richard E. and his wife Carrie Segeberg of Auburn, WA, Thomas A. Segeberg of Haverhill, Raymond D. Segeberg Sr. of Epping, NH, three daughters Brenda M. and her husband Randall A. Melkonian of Manchester, NH, Debbie M. and her husband Wayne Schock of Liverpool Pa, Nancy A. Segeberg of Liverpool PA, 12 Grandchildren 9 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Julia T. (Takesian) Small

Mrs. Julia T. (Takesian) Small, 93, of Haverhill, died Thursday morning at the Hannah Duston Long-term Healthcare Center, Haverhill.
She was born in Methuen, August 6, 1910, daughter of the late Missack and Lydia (LeBlanc) Takesian.
Mrs. Small moved to Haverhill at an early age and educated in the Haverhill School System, and attended Essex Agricultural School, where she received many awards.
In 1937 Mrs. Small became the first registered female Master Barber in the state of Massachusetts.
A longtime member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Mrs. Small enjoyed baking, gardening, sewing, and was also a member of the 4H Club.
For several years she was employed as a stitcher in various shoe shops including the former Ornstein Shoe.
Mrs. Small was the wife of the late Frank H. Small who died in 1981 and her survivors include a son, Franklin J. and his wife Stefania A. Small of North Andover, a brother, Harry and his wife Roberta Takesian of Groveland, sisters, Florence Philip, Marjorie Walukevich, and Helen Fortin, all of Haverhill, 3 grandsons, Franklin J. Small, Jr. and his wife Karen, Jefferson D. Small and his wife Lisa, and Nathan A. Small, 3 great grandchildren, Victoria M., Joshua B. and Jared J. Small, and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Small was also the sister of the late Agnes Takesian, Violet Pelosi, Mary Shahinian, Edward Takesian, Joseph Takesian and Oscar Takesian.

Gladys (Garabedian) Mooradian

Mrs. Gladys (Garabedian) Mooradian, 90, of Haverhill, died Thursday evening at Penacook Place, Haverhill.
She was born in Salem, NH, April 14, 1913, daughter of the late Harry and Bertha Garabedian.
Mrs. Mooradian was educated in the Salem School System and moved to Haverhill in 1939. For several years she was employed at the former La Sand Shoe, as a stitcher.
Mrs. Mooradian was a member of the former Haverhill Ararat Armenian Congregational Church, where she sang in its choir and was a treasurer. She then became a member of the Salem Ararat Armenian Congregational Church, after the two Churches merged.
She was the wife of the late Nubar Mooradian who died in 1996 and her survivors include 2 sons, Jack and his wife Gaile Mooradian of Haverhill, Alan and his wife Judith Mooradian of Haverhill, 2 brothers, George Garabedian of Atkinson, NH, Charles Garabedian of Salem, NH, 2 sisters, Virginia Alexanian of Methuen and Betty Senarian of Waltham, 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service Monday morning at 11:30 at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
A visitation period will precede the Funeral Service on Monday from 9:00 to 11:15 at the Funeral home.

Leon H. "Sonny" Graham

Mr. Leon H. "Sonny" Graham, 81 of Haverhill, died after a brief illness Tuesday at the Merrimack Valley Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Born in Haverhill, July 29, 1922, son of the late Walter and Ida (Charoux) Graham, and was educated in the Haverhill Public Schools.
An avid card player and horseman, he was a former owner of Standard-Bred Horses. An active volunteer, he served as a Little League Coach, Boy Scout Leader in Haverhill.
For many years he was employed in the local shoe industry, and prior to his retirement in l984 he had been an Electrical Technician for Raytheon. 
During World War II, he served in the Philippines for the United States Army.
His survivors include his wife of 61 years, Dorothy (Rogers) Graham of Haverhill, , sons and daughters in law Robert L and Donna M. of Methuen, John R. and Jennifer of Moab UT, Thomas R. and Sherry L. of Bradford. His grandchildren Debra Graham, Laurie and Frank Saenz, Daniel and Laurie Graham, Lee and Jen Graham, Michelle and Stephen Graves, Jamie and Michael Albertson, Corey Graham and Louise Bannister, his great grandchildren Courtney and Cody Graham, Drew Albertson and Emily Graves, and beloved nieces and nephews, his sisters Florence Greenwood of Haverhill, Edna Graves of Anderson CA, and brothers Norman and his wife Evelyn Graham of Seabrook, Richard Graham of Chelsea. He was also the brother of the late Walter (Robert) Graham, Esther Anzaldi, Bella Clay.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the Funeral Saturday morning at 11 am at the Riverside Memorial Church. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
Calling hours at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home 106 Summer St. Haverhill will be Friday afternoon and evening 4-8.
