 FALL RIVER -- Ida F. Morris, 96, of 1748 Highland Ave., formerly of 443 Bay St., died at home Thursday, Dec. 28, 1995. She was the widow of William A. Morris Sr. and daughter of the late Silvio Boutet and Annibelle (Simpson) Boutet. 
  Born in Biddeford, Maine, she spent her youth in Maine and lived most of her life in Fall River 
 Mrs. Morris was a homemaker and a communicant of St. Louis Church in Fall River. 
 Survivors include six brothers, Harry Boutet, Leo Boutet, Norman Boutet, and Chandler Boutet, all of Saco, Maine, Lynwood Boutet of Scarborough, Maine, and Robert Boutet of Ogunquit, Maine; three grandchildren, George M. Abdow of North Dartmouth, Paula A. D'Arrigo of Tiverton, R.I., and William A. Morris III of Assonet; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 
 She was the mother of the late Gloria M. Rame and the late William A. Morris Jr. She was a sister of the late Albert Boutet, Raymond Boutet and Homer Boutet.

Bernard C. Young
 ALTOONA, Fla. -- Bernard C. Young, 66, of 45649 Virginia Road, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 1995. 
 He died in Eustis, Fla. 
  Born in Carver, Mass., he moved to Lake County in 1984. 
 He was formerly employed by ABB Power Distribution in Sanford, Fla., as a machinist. He was a Protestant. 
 Survivors include two sons, Richard Bernard Young of Eustis and Leo James Young of Sorrento, Fla.; three daughters, Diana C. Young of Arlington, Va., Sonia E. Young of Philadelphia, Pa., and Bernadette I. Young of Altoona; two brothers, Edward Young of Middleboro, Mass., and John Young of Duxbury, Mass.; a sister, Dorothy Angley of Carver, Mass., and three grandchildren. 
 Arrangements are by Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis. 
 
Charles E. Wood
 NEW BEDFORD -- Private services were held yesterday for Charles Everett Wood, 85, who died at home Wednesday, Dec. 27, 1995. He was the son of the late George and Mary (Loynos) Wood. 
  Born in New Bedford, he lived here most of his life. 
 A World War II Navy veteran, Mr. Wood served 20 years in submarine duty and was a chief torpedoman. 
 Survivors include nieces and nephews. 
 Arrangements are by Latham Funeral Home, 823 Brock Ave. 
 
Melvin E. Sanford Sr.
 TIVERTON, R.I. -- Melvin E. Sanford Sr., 86, of South Avenue, died at home Thursday, Dec. 28, 1995. He was the husband of Stella G. (Durkee) Sanford and son of the late Frank A. and Leora P. (Brightman) Sherman. 
  Born in New Bedford., he had lived in Tiverton for more than 81 years and was a member of the Central Baptist Church. 
 He was appointed to the Tiverton Fire Department in 1932 as one of two of the first permanent firemen. He was appointed deputy chief of the department in 1955 and chief in 1960. He held that position until his retirement in 1977. 
 He was the last living charter member of the Stone Bridge Volunteer Fire Department. 
 During World War II he was a first aid instructor and chairman of the First Aid and Life Saving for the Tiverton Chapter of the American Red Cross. 
 Mr. Sanford was the secretary of the Newport County Fireman's League for many years. He was also a life member of the New England Fire Chief's Association and the Rhode Island Fire Chief's Association. 
 He was a member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs and had held the office of president of the Hillside Cemetery Association. 
 Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy E. Voogt and Jacquelyn Sisson, both of Newport, R.I.; a son, Melvin E. Sanford Jr. of Tiverton; a stepdaughter, Constance Derby of Portsmouth, R.I.; a stepson, Richard Holberton of Narragansett, R.I.; a sister, Minnie Madeiros of New Bedford; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and 10 nieces and nephews. 
 He was the brother of the late Leverette D. Sanford.

Anna Pereira
 NEW BEDFORD -- Anna L. (Caetano) Pereira, 81, of Coggeshall Street, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 1995, after a brief illness. She was the wife of Antonio Martins Pereira and daughter of the late Jose and Maria Jesus (Calvao) Caetano. 
 She died at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth. 
  Born in New Bedford, she emigrated to Anelhe, Chaves, Portugal, at the age of four and returned to New Bedford in 1953. 
 She was a communicant of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Church. 
 She was employed by Grinnell Pajamas as a stitcher until her retirement in 1974. 
 A member of the Holy Rosary Sodality of her parish, Mrs. Pereira was very active with the Portuguese American Athletic Club and Clube de Recordacoes of Portugal, both of New Bedford. 
 Survivors include her widower; two sons, Manuel C. Pereira of Fairhaven and Joseph A. Pereira of Coral Springs, Fla.; a daughter, Maria M. "Dusty" Cardoso of South Dartmouth; a brother, Joao Calvao of Brazil; three sisters, Ermelinda Vitorino, Adelaide Almeida and Angelina Alves, all of New Bedford; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. 
 She was the sister of the late Diamantino Calvao, Antonio Calvao and Joaquim Calvao.

Raymond Levrault
 FALL RIVER -- Raymond Levrault, 76, of 313 No. Quarry St., died Thursday, Dec. 28, 1995. He was the husband of Rita (Soule) Levrault and son of the late Jules and Donalda (Gaucher) Levrault. 
 He died at Miriam Hospital, Providence, R.I.. He had been a textile worker until his retirement. 
 Survivors include his widow; nine sons, Raymond Levrault, Maurice Levrault, Roger Levrault, Joseph Levrault, Gerard Levrault, Christopher Levrault, all of Fall River, Robert Levrault of Lakeville, Richard Levrault of Canton and Allen Levrault of Westport; 10 daughters, Barbara Mooney, Jean Pereira, Annette Kurowski, Evelyn Burns, Doreen Lupachini, Claire Mason, Joyce Piela, Rita Robitaille, Suzanne Levrault and Denise Levrault, all of Fall River; three brothers, Roland Levrault of Glassboro, N.J., Romeo Levrault and Jules Levrault, both of Fall River; two sisters, Estelle Levrault and Yvonne Kirkman, both of Fall River; 45 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. 
 He was the brother of the late Lena Laferriere, Arthur Levrault, Armand Levrault and Joseph Levrault.

Marion F. Judson
 VALATIE, N.Y. -- Marion F. Judson, 85, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 1995, after a long illness. She was the widow of David N. Judson and daughter of the late Lester and Lena (Wardell) Mosher. 
 She died at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson, N.Y. 
  Born in New Bedford, she lived in New York state since 1952. 
 She was a housewife and did volunteer work for Burnwell Health Facility. 
 Mrs. Judson was a member and deaconess of the First Presbyterian Church in Valatie. 
 Survivors include two sons, Alan O. Judson and Kenneth M. Judson, both of Riverville; a sister, Helen Gibbons of Melrose, Mass; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Arthur Gundberg, 92
 LAKEVILLE -- Arthur Bernt Gundberg, 92, of 11 Pierce Ave., died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 1995. He was the widower of Ora B. (Bissonnette) Gundberg and son of the late Albin and Ann (Ekstrom) Gundberg. 
 He died at Morton Hospital, Taunton. 
  Born in Easton, he lived in Brockton before moving to Lakeville for 40 years ago. 
 He was employed by the Plymouth Shoe Company in Middleboro since his youth and retired in 1965. 
 Mr. Gundberg was a member of the Lakeville Golden Seniors and enjoyed gardening as a hobby. 
 Survivors include several nieces and nephews; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. 
 Arrangements are by Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 59 Peirce St., Middleboro. 
 
Edith A. Gifford, 93
 DARTMOUTH -- Edith A. (Allen) Gifford, 93, died at home Wenesday, Dec. 27, 1995. She was the wife of Hubert B. Gifford and daughter of the late John W. and Annie (Henshaw) Allen. 
  Born in New Bedford, she was a homemaker and lived most of her life in the Dartmouth area. 
 Mrs. Gifford was a member of the South Primitive Methodist Church and was a past president of the Christian Service League. 
 She was also a member of the Visiting Committee and the Mizipah Class of the church, the Dartmouth Seniors Associates and the American Association of Retired Persons Chapter 1257. 
 Survivors include her widower; two daughters, Grace A. Brook of South Dartmouth and Shirley May Gifford of Fairhaven; two sons, Arthur W. Gifford and Hubert B. Gifford Jr., both of South Dartmouth; a brother, Arthur W. Allen of Wellsley; 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. 
 Arrangements are by the Donaghy Funeral Home, 465 County St., New Bedford. 
 Due to incorrect information received by the funeral home, Mrs. Gifford's day of death, area in which she lived and her daughter's last name were incorrect in Thursday's paper. 
 
Thomas N. M. David
 NEW BEDFORD -- Thomas N. M. David, 65, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 1995, after complications due to diabetes. He was the husband of Octavia (Peters) David and son of the late Nacle Maroon and Hanna (Daher) David. 
 He died at Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge. 
 A lifelong resident of New Bedford, he was a parishioner of Our Lady of Purgatory Church. 
 He owned and operated the Cyclone Cleaning Service for 30 years. 
 Mr. David was a Korean War Army veteran, receiving two Silver Stars and a Purple Heart. 
 He was a member of the Ehmejian Unity and the Lebanese American War Vets. 
 Survivors include his widow; a son, Anthony David of New Bedford; four daughters, Christine David, Elizabeth David, both of Fairhaven, Catherine David and Marie David, both of New Bedford; a sister, Adeline Riley of New Bedford; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. 
 He was the brother of the late Frosena Thomas. 
 Arrangements are by Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Fairhaven. 
 
Armand L. Caron
 NEW BEDFORD -- Armand L. Caron, 88, died unexpectedly Thursday, Dec. 28, 1995. He was the husband of Germaine P. (Poyant) Caron and son of the late Napoleon and Olivine (Ploukde) Caron. 
 He died at St. Luke's Hospital. 
  Born in New Bedford, he lived in New York City prior to returning to New Bedford, where he lived most of his life. 
 He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church and was formerly employed by Cormier's and Vermette's Market and by Sippican Inc. as a maintenance person until his retirement. 
 Mr. Caron was a member of L'Amicale Francaise, the St. John Baptist Paternal Society and the St. Joseph Choir. He was also a member of the former Progressive Club. 
 He enjoyed being with his grandchildren and singing. He and his wife had been married for 52 years. 
 Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Germaine Winters of East Freetown and Michelle H. Lisak of New Bedford; a son, Jean A. Caron of North Chelmsford; a sister, Gertrude Tremblay of New Bedford; 16 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rev. Manuel Andrade
 FALL RIVER -- Rev. Manuel Andrade, 69, of 2446 Highland Ave., died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 1995. He was the son of the late Manuel and Maria Hortensia (Medeiros) Andrade. 
 He died at St. Anne's Hospital. 
  Born in Taunton, he was ordained on June 11, 1949, at St. Mary's Cathedral in Fall River, by Bishop James L. Connelly. 
 He served at St. Anthony of Padua, Our Lady of Angels, and Espirito Santo, all of Fall River, Mt. Carmel and Immaculate Conception, both of New Bedford. 
 The Rev. Andrade served as pastor of Our Lady of Health in Fall River from 1970-1975. He served in the seminary in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico, for one year. He then returned to serve at St. Michael Church in Fall River and St. John the Baptist Church in New Bedford. 
 Lastly, he served at St. Anthony Church in Taunton before retiring. He had been a resident of the Catholic Memorial Home. 
 Survivors include a brother, Domingos Andrade of Fall River; a sister, Alzira A. Azevedo of Swansea; several nieces and nephews; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
