Beverly Idstrom Barbazon, 59, a native of New Orleans and a resident of St. Rose for 10 years, died Sept. 27.  She was the wife of Lester J. Barbazon Jr. and mother of Gina Gustafson, Kristen Compton and Carrie, Leonard and Joseph Barbazon.
She was also the daughter of the late Leonard and Regina Idstrom.
She is also survived by five grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 29 in the chapel of Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, New Orleans with interment at Greenwood Cemetery.

RESERVE
Freddie Brooks Sr., 73, a native of New Orleans and a residentof St. Rose for one year, died Sept. 23. He was the father of Frieda Howard and Freddie Brooks Jr.
He was also the brother of Helen Cole, Delores Bourgeois, Annie Mae Willis, Ernest Flowers and Isaac, Ellis and Thelma Brooks.
He is also survived by three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 29 at New Pilgrim Baptist Church, Reserve, with interment at Zion Travelers Cemetery, Lions.

Geneva Himes Brown, 85, a native and resident of LaPlace, died Sept. 28. She was the wife of the late Edward H. Brown Sr. and mother of Rosalie Lennix, Beatrice Himes and Edward Jr., Harold, Lilton and Earl Brown.
She was also the daughter of the late Octavia Variste and George Himes.
She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, LaPlace, with interment at Providence Rest Haven, LaPlace. Visitation starts at 10 a.m.

Henry J. Champagne Sr., 83, a native and resident of Mt. Airy, died Sept. 29.  He was the husband of Ethel Sutton Champagne and father of Joycelyn Martinez and Barry, Bryan, Ralph, Michael, Ronnie, David and Henry Champagne Jr.
He was also the son of the late Andre and Alice Champagne and brother of Geraldine Berthelot and the late Irving, Clarence, Lloyd and Lawrence Champagne.
He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services were held Oct. 1 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

Joyce Colbert Claverie, 57, a native and resident of Lutcher, died Sept. 23. She was the mother of Ivy Coleman and Cathy Cyprian.  She was also the daughter of the late Ernest Sr. and Elnora Smith Colbertand the sister of Diana Kenney, Reynaud Stewart and Ernest Jr. and George Colbert.
She is also survived by five grandchildren.

James W. Colly, 76, a native of Luling and a resident of Boutte for 53 years, died Sept. 26. He was the husband of Eloise Coleman Colly and father of Artemise Jones and Burnard, Wallace and James Colly.
He was also the son of the late James and Florence Markey Colly and brother of Esther Holton, Florence Lewis and Vance, Hewitt and Herschel Colly.
He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Boutte, with interment at St. Mary Cemetery, Boutte.

Mary Lou Thibodeaux Falgout, 55, a native of Thibodaux and a resident of Hahnville, died Sept. 28. She was the wife of Larry Falgout Sr.and mother of Larry Falgout Jr.
She was also the daughter of Norris Thibodeaux and the late Zenobia Leonard Thibodeaux and sister of Glenn, Wayne and Terry Thibodeaux.
She is also survived by one grandchild.
Services were held Oct. 1 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary CatholicChurch, Hahnville with interment at the church Cemetery, Taft.

Gloria Triche Lanier, 62, a native of Reserve and a resident of Ponchatoula, died Sept. 29. She was the wife of Herbert Lanier and mother of Terri Albert, Stacie Motichek, Christie Atkins and Connie and Donald Lanier.
She was also the daughter of the late Charles and Antoinette Catoire Triche and sister of Sherry Migues, Warner and Allen Triche and the late Marian Jacob and David and Charles "Pickle" Triche.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 1 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ponchatoula, with interment at Ponchatoula Cemetery.

Willie J. Miller, 89, a native of Convent and a resident of Reserve for 65 years, died Sept. 28.  He was the husband of Marie Louise Kinler Miller and father of Marie Brownlow, Barbara Tamplain, Alice Mollere and Wilton Miller.
He was also the son of the late Alfred Sr. and Clarice Miller and brother of George Loise and Alfred Miller Jr. and the late Lillie Trosclair, Emily Bourgeois, Lelia Landry, Lillian Bread and Clarence Miller.
He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 1 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment at the church cemetery.

Jacqueline Robinson, 54, a native and resident of St. James,died Sept. 26.  She was the wife of the late Oscar Robinson Jr. and mother of Leotha Dumas and Oscar III, Archie, Kevin, Maron and Keith Robinson Sr.
She was also the daughter of the late Celina Spencer Chiquet and Edward Johnson Sr.; step-daughter of Rebecca Johnson; and sister of Paulette Johnson, Gloria Johnson, Shirley Dixon, Theresa Carter, Brenda Simmons, Earl Spencer, Harold Jr., Louis, Paul, Edward Jr. and Ronald Johnson and the late Eula Mae, Dianne, Warren, Jacob and Joseph Johnson.
She is also survived by 13 grandchildren.

BATON ROUGE
Oscar Joseph "O.J." "Jay" Williams, 78, a native of Lions and a resident of Baton Rouge, died Sept. 29. He was the husband of 52 years of Hope Breeden Williams and father of Ginger Marks and Fran Shurtz.
He was also the brother of Rita Simon, Mae Trosclair, Joyce Graugnard, Merle Guidry and Peter and J.P. Williams.   He is also survived by two grandchildren.
He was a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana College, where he lettered in football and served as student body president.  He was a World War II Armyveteran, earning the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.  He was a teacher andcoach and retired as principal from Wyandotte Elementary School.
Services were held Oct. 1 at First United Methodist Church, Baton Rouge, with interment at Greenoaks Memorial Park.

Ruben Williams, 72, a native of Boutte and a resident of New Orleans for 40 years, died Sept. 26.   He was the husband of VeraWilliams and father of Lillian Alexander, Leroy Williams, James Thomas and the late Rochelle and Gregory Williams.
He was also the son of the late Rebecca and Thomas Williams Sr. and the brother of Shirley Green, Evalina Jackson, Orelia Butler, Morris Sr. and Preston Williams and the late Elenora Morris and Thomas Jr., Otis, Samuel and Clementine Williams.
He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 1 at First House of Prayer Baptist Church, New Orleans, with interment at St. Mary Cemetery, Boutte.

Earl Joseph Zeringue, 77, a native of Ama and a resident of Metairie for 33 years, died Sept. 29.   He was the husband of the late Myra Babin Zeringue and father of Candace Lovitt, Melanie Dormandy, Melissa Drake and Monica Zeringue.
He was also the son of the late Henry J. and Olive Friloux Zeringue and brother of Amy Roux, Marie Poche, Esther Detillier, Eula Young, Henry Zeringue and the late Whitney Zeringue.
He is also survived by eight grandchildren.

Carl Anthony "Cuz" Cousin, 46, a native of LaPlace and a resident of Maurepas, died Oct. 2.  He was the husband of Karen Rodosta Cousin, father of Carl Jr. and Kyle Cousin and step-father of Melissa Canezaro and Oscar and Tammie Armand.
He was also the son of Thelma Cheek and the late Theophile Anthony Cousin, brother of Sherry Perrilous and Terry Cousin and step-brother of Leonard Cheek.
He is also survived by four grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 5 at Ourso Chapel, Gonzales, with interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, French Settlement.

Floriska Benoit Hymes, 96, a native of Vacherie and a resident of New Orleans, died Oct. 1.  She was the wife of the late Wilson Hymes.  She was also the daughter of the late Norbert and Natalie Benoit and sister of Ismay Young.  She is preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.

Jonai Amaricle Knight, 17 months, a resident of Mt. Airy, died Sept. 28. She was the daughter of Joseph and Tiffany Ingram Knight and sister of Janta Jamaal and Joseph Knight Jr.
She was also the granddaughter of Beverly Knight, Geanie Ingram, Frank Ingram, Paul Hill and the late Joseph Reynaud.
She was also the great-granddaughter of Caroline Ingram, Josephine Hill, Claude Knight Sr. and the late Delores Knight, Leola Coleman and Irvin Reynaud.

Samuel "Sammy" Madere, 52, a native and resident of LaPlace, died Oct. 1.  He was the husband of Donna Madere and father of Danielle St.Martin and Chantel, Samson and Renee Madere.

She was also the daughter of the late Richard and Lucinda Preston and sister of Cecile Jackson, Delores Gardner and Richard, Earnest and Nolan Preston.

TAFT - Velma Morris Austin, 76, a native of Hahnville and resident of Luling for six years, died Oct. 25. She was the wife of the late Perkins Austin and mother of Barbara Dorsey.

LAPLACE - Viola Louque Duhon, 94, a native of Grand Point and a resident of Reserve for 75 years, died Oct. 26.  She was the wife of the late Eddie Duhon and mother of Audrey Cambre, Mary Michel, Violet Berthelot, Alice Zeringue, Glenda Vedros and Ned and Eddie Duhon Jr.
She was also the daughter of the late Adrian and Adorestine Louque and sister of the late Leticia St. Pierre, Amelia Bergeron, Augustine Roussel, Nellie Jacob and Leon, Ezidore, Alice, Clarence, Steve, Irby and Regina Louque.
She is also survived by 36 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

ST. AMANT - Grace Marie Becnel LeBlanc, 74, a native of Vacherie and resident of Gonzales, died Oct. 26.  She was the wife of the late Lucien J. LeBlanc and mother of Betty Babin, Norma Stafford and Lloyd, Floyd "Flue" and Lucien "Dugin" LeBlanc.
She was also the daughter of the late Frank and Odelia Schexnayder Becnel and sister of Pauline Martinez, Irene Badeaux, Clarence "Blue" Becnel and the late Ella Mae and Marie Clara Becnel.
She is also survived by four grandchildren.

NEW ORLEANS - Stanley Emile LeBlanc, 84, a native of Destrehan and resident of New Orleans for 81 years, died Oct. 26.  He was the husband of Jeannette Le Breton LeBlanc and father of Jeannette Hagardorn, Linda Waguespack, Mary Frances Boneno, Barbara Samrow, Fay Newfield, Elaine Wagener and James and Stanley LeBlanc Jr.
He was also the brother of Ione Fisher and Milton LeBlanc.
He is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 28 at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, New Orleans, with interment at Lake Lawn Park Cemetery.

EDGARD - Melvin Joseph Lemoine, 69, a native of Lucy and a resident of Lancaster S.C., died Oct. 22.  He was the father of Lisa Driggers.  He was also the son of the late Louis and Agnes Madere Lemoine and brother of Hilda Bordelon, Grace Hymel, Rosalie Waguespack and Roland, Ross, Stephen and Earl Lemoine.
He is also survived by three grandchildren.

MAGNOLIA, Miss. - Terry Wilson Page, 43, a native of McComb, Miss., and a resident of Killona, died Oct. 25.   He was the husband of Lydia Sampey Page and father of Tara, Toby and Todd Page.

She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was also the daughter of the late Ovide Sr. and Felice Lewis Pierre and sister of the late Julia Smith, Laura Young and Alvin and Ovide Pierre Jr.
She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

He was also the son of the late Susthene and Louisa Gauff Burrell and brother of the late Viola Williams, Leona Chandler, Henry Shaun and Susthene Jr., Morris, Guy and Virgie Burrell.  He is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was a retired Godchaux Sugar employee.

BATON ROUGE - Dominic "Nick" Eugino, 84, a native of Lutcher and resident of Port Allen, died Oct. 30.  He was the husband of Kathleen Dixon Eugino and father of Judy Whitaker, Billy Cobb and Ben Duhon.
He was also the son of the late Anthony and Mary Grace Eugino and brother of Annie Simmons, Rosalee Blair, Mary DeLatte, Lena Godso, Sam Eugino and the late Carmella, Russell, Peter and an infant sister.
He is also survived by one grandchild.
Graveside services were held Nov. 1 at Dixon Family Cemetery, Liberty, Miss.

LAPLACE - Barney "Moon" Mullins, 73, a native of Des Allemands and resident of LaPlace, died Oct. 31. He was the husband of Rogelle Damonte Mullins and father of Babette Marse, Rogelle Barney Jr. and Owen and Vanessa Mullins.
He was also the son of the late Barnie and Freda Mullins and brother of Anna Mae Trauth and the late John Mullins.
He is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services are today at 10 a.m. at St. John Presbyterian Church, LaPlace, with interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Metairie. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.

ZERINGUE 
MARRERO - Henry Joseph Zeringue, 84, a native of Wallace and resident of Marrero for 50 years, died Oct. 31. He was the husband of the late Winnie Amedee Zeringue and the father of Nelwyn Smith.
He was also the son of the late Henry Sr. and Aimee Kleinbert Zeringue and the brother of Enola Romer, Gertrude Devore, Irving Zeringue and the late Clare Breaux and Clarence and Lynn Zeringue.
He is also survived by one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 2 at Our Lady Catholic Church, Marrero, with interment at Westlawn Memorial Park, Avondale.
