Services for Willie Lee Sparrow, 50, will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Fletcher Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Verret officiating. Interment will be in the Freetown Cemetery in Glencoe. 
Visitation will be from 7 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday at the Fletcher Funeral Home Chapel.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Sparrow died at 6:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15, l999, at his residence following a brief illness. 
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Haisley Sparrow of New Iberia; two sons, Derrick Rue and Christopher Rue, both of Houston; three stepsons, Earl Haisley of Franklin, Roy Haisley of Baton Rouge, and Clinton Haisley of New Iberia; three daughters, Willie Delynn Thomas, Ericka Haisley and Dionne Rue, all of Jeanerette; four brothers, Richard Sparrow Jr., Ernest Sparrow and Allen Ray Sparrow, all of Beaumont, Texas, and Prentiss Sparrow of Jeanerette; five sisters, Audrey Sparrow, Mary Ann Sparrow and Shelia Sparrow, all of New Iberia, Pearlie Mae Williams of Beaumont, Texas, Sandra Sparrow of Jeanerette; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Sparrow Sr. and Agnes Mae Spain Sparrow. 
Pallbearers will be Anthony Bourda, Michael Smith, David Mason, Charlie Mishaw, Tyrone Sparrow and Thaddeus Clay.
Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Rue, Derrick Rue, Richard Sparrow Jr., Ernest Sparrow, Prentiss Sparrow and Allen Ray Sparrow.

Dene Cox
BAYTOWN - Graveside services for Dene Cox, 89, will begin at 2 p.m. today at Navarre Funeral Home in Baytown, Texas, with the Rev. Darryl Tate and the Rev. Ken Goodland officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Crest Cemetery.
Visitation will be noon today until the time of services at Navarre Funeral Home.
A native of Baytown and a resident of Little Rock, Ark., Mrs. Cox died at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, l999, at her residence.
Mrs. Cox was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Baytown, Texas. 
She is survived by her daughter, Lilla Mae Cox Tate, and her husband, C.W. "Buddy" Tate, both of New Iberia; her son, Ronni Cox of Little Rock, Ark.; eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Searcy Cox; one daughter, Louise Cox Langford; one son, Samuel Gene Cox; and one sister, Mary Nell McClain. 
Pallbearers will be Donald Langford, Glenn Langford, Johnny Tate Sr., John Tate Jr., Ed Dugan and Steve Trahan.

Doris K. Bruce
BEAUMONT, Texas - Services for Doris Mae Kraemer Bruce, 68, will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Broussard's Mortuary Chapel in Beaumont. Interment will be in Restlawn Cemetery in Vidor, Texas. 
A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. today at the mortuary.
A native of Loreauville and resident of Beaumont for 50 years, Mrs. Bruce died Thursday, Feb. 18, l999, at Dubuis Hospital in Beaumont.
Mrs. Bruce was a licensed vocational nurse.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Kraemer of Beaumont and Bobby Kraemer of Springhill, Tenn.; three daughters, Peggy Morgan of Magnolia, Texas, Sharon Hoose of Beaumont, and Susan Barbo of Jasper, Texas; four brothers, Clarence L. Broussard and John E. Broussard, both of New Iberia, Tilden J. Broussard of Loreauville, and Wade F. Broussard of Leavenworth, Kan.; two sisters, Dot Prince of Port Arthur, Texas, and Louella Landry of New Iberia; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Whitney J. Poirrier
Services for Whitney Joseph Poirrier, 92, will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Catholic Church with the Rev. Ted Broussard officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-10 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at Evangeline Funeral Home, which will reopen Saturday from 8 a.m. until the time of services.
A native of Youngsville and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Poirrier died at noon Thursday, Feb. 18, l999, at a New Iberia hospital.
Mr. Poirrier was employed with the City of New Iberia for 28 years. 
He is survived by his wife Eunice Picard Poirrier of New Iberia; one daughter, Joy Rita P. Bouton and her husband, Melvin, both of New Iberia; three brothers, Harrington "Bee" Poirrier, Ernest "Boone" Poirrier and Everson "Butch" Poirrier, all of New Iberia; and two sisters, Willa P. Romero and Iris Marie P. Gary, both of New Iberia.

Services for Lillian D. Bowles, 87, the former Lillian Delahoussaye, will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. James United Methodist Church with the Rev. Percell Church officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Bowles died at 9:46 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, l999, at Maison Teche Nursing Center after a lengthy illness.
She is survived by one niece, Cynthia Thomas of Avondale; and one nephew, Fredrick Delahoussaye of New Orleans. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elliot Bowles; her parents, Junius and Lillian Warner Delahoussaye; one sister, Nina Delahoussaye; and two brothers, Freddie and George "Crook" Delahoussaye.

A native of Crum, Md., and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Bourque died at 10:10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, at Iberia Medical Center.
Mrs. Bourque is survived by her husband, Clarence Bourque of New Iberia; two sons, Joseph C. Bourque of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Michael P. Bourque of Richard, Va.; one daughter, Delores Ann Brandt of Damascus, Md.; four sisters, Elsie Dove of Annapolis, Md., Gertrude Oman of Medford, Ore., Gladys Connel of Chayenne, Wyo. and Thelma Meyer of Elect City, Md.; three brothers, John Tippett of Baltimore, Joseph Tippett of Landover, Md. and Robert Tippett of Maryland; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Tippett; her mother, Eliza Perry Tippett; one brother, Lee Tippett; and one sister, Grace Tippett.

Woodrow A. Delcambre
BATON ROUGE - Services for Woodrow A. Delcambre, 85, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Isidore Catholic Church with the Rev. Fred Youngs officiating. Entombment will be Roselawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. with a 3 p.m. rosary Sunday at Baker Funeral Home in Baker. Visitation will continue Monday at the church from 9 to 11 a.m.
A native of New Iberia and resident of Baker, Mr. Delcambre died at 2:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge..
He was a former dry goods salesman with Joubert Brothers for 24 years. He also was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church.
Mr. Delcambre is survived by his wife of 24 years, Beverly Mancuso Delcambre of Baker; two step-sons, Mark Reiley of Chicago and Michael Reiley of Denver; four nieces; four nephews; one step-grandchildren, Jason Reiley of Chicago.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lena Cutrera Delcambre; one sister, Yvonne Fagon of Eunice; one brother, Elton Delcambre of New Iberia; and his parents, Eliza Touchet and Philias Delcambre.

Modest S. Love
Services for Modest Sutherland Love, 91, will be at 10 a.m. today at Holy Family Cemetery with the Rev. Noah Langley officiating. 
A native of Neosho, Mo., and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Love died at 6:13 a.m. Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, at Dauterive Hospital.
She was a housewife. Mrs. Love was active in the Women's Missionary Organization for many years prior to moving to New Iberia and she also was active in church events. 
Mrs. Love is survived by three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Love; her father, John William Sutherland; her mother, Elva Ward Sutherland; and one son, Stratton Love.
Pallbearers will be Benjamin Love, Brody Love, Dean Love, Chad Segura, Cory Segura and Steven Segura.

A native and resident of Abbeville, Mrs. Fitch died at 7:10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, at Abbeville General Hospital.
Mrs. Fitch is survived by her husband, M.J. "Bolo" Fitch of Abbeville; three daughters, Deborah Fitch of Shreveport, Elizabeth Fitch of Abbeville and Mary Jane Peltier of Erath; one son, Mike Fitch of Jeanerette; one sister, Genevieve Mergist of Erath; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

JEANERETTE - Services for Pearl Clavelle, 72, the former Pearl Wise, will begin at 1 p.m. today at Morning Pilgrim Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Moncriffe officiating. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. today until the time of services at Morning Pilgrim Baptist Church.
A native and resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Clavelle died at 6:55 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, 1999, at her residence following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Clavelle was baptized at a very early age and remained a faithful member of Morning Pilgrim until her demise. Many of her years were spent helping to organize the Missions Department and serving as treasurer until her illness prevented her from continuing her duties. She also served as a deaconess. She lived a life that was devoted to her children and family. Anytime anyone was sick, this statement was made, "go get che."
She is survived by seven daughters, Mrs. James "TK" (Ramona) Alexander Sr., Mary Belle Teague, Charlotte Hopes, Wilmetta Clavelle and Mrs. Melvin (Georgia) Rhine, all of Jeanerette, Mrs. Charles (Clara Ann) Smith of New Iberia and Mrs. Spencer (Pearl) Robertson of Houston; four brothers, Philip Wise of Oakland, Calif., Edgar Wise of Port Arthur, Texas, Glence Wise of Vienna, Va., and Lionel Wise Sr. of Jeanerette; six sisters, Nettie W. Davis of Franklin, Permella Devaull of Oakland, Calif., Bettye Wise Paul of Jeanerette, Ruby Coleman of New Iberia, Clara Ann Cole of Upper Marlboro, Md., and Patricia W. Delegal of Darien, Ga.; 20 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, a sister-in-law, brother-in-law and one godchild.
Mrs. Clavelle was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Clavelle; her parents, Glence and Permella Carpenter Wise Sr.; five sisters, Lucy W. Yeggins, Minty W. Ganey, Hattie W. Henderson, Ellen Lee Green and Mary W. Moncriffe.

Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at Evangeline Funeral Home, which will reopen Tuesday from 8 a.m. until the time of services.
A native and resident of Delcambre, Mrs. Hymel died at 7:25 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, 1999, at her daughter's residence in New Iberia.
Mrs. Hymel was a member of the Lady's Altar Society of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
She is survived by one son, Lloyd Anthony Hymel of Algiers; two daughters, Mrs. Douglas (Peggy) Vice of New Iberia, and Mrs. David (Juanita) Nemnich of Hoschton, Ga.; 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Hymel was preceded in death by her husband, Eunice Joseph "Bum" Hymel; her parents, Homer and Marcelite Stafford Lemaire; one sister, Sophie Lemaire Dorsey; one half-brother, Adonis Lemaire; one great-granddaughter, Alison Vice; and one nephew, Homer Dorsey.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

BROUSSARD - Services are pending for Lester C. Yocham, 85, who died at 3:35 a.m. Monday, March 1, 1999, at Medical Center of the Southwest in Lafayette.

Jules E. Dieudonne
Services for Jules Edward Dieudonne, 78, will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Charles Thevis officiating. 
A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Dieudonne died at 9:40 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, 1999, at a local nursing home. 
Mr. Dieudonne was a principal of Dodson Elementary School for 27 years from 1949-1975. He was a member of the VFW Post #1982 in New Iberia. He was a graduate of St. Peters College, USL and LSU. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942-1945 as an intelligence officer in the European Theater in World War II. He received the Bronze Star for Combat action and other awards. He did reserve time in New Iberia and held the rank of Major.
He is survived by six sons, James Dieudonne of Manaddas, Va., Danny Dieudonne of Parsons, Kan., Robert Dieudonne of Neodesha, Kan., Bill Dieudonne of Lafayette, Tom Dieudonne of Loreauville, and Donald Dieudonne of New Iberia; one sister, Iris Durand of New Iberia; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Benoit Dieudonne; his parents, Albert and Winnie Chassion Dieudonne; and two brothers, Albert Dieudonne and Charles Dieudonne.

A native of Iberia Parish and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. LaBiche died at 4:45 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 1999, at Dauterive Hospital.
Mr. LaBiche was employed at Morton Salt Inc. where he worked for 21 years. 
He is survived by his wife, Marie Bonin LaBiche of New Iberia; two sons, Jason LaBiche and Jeremy L. LaBiche, both of New Iberia; two sisters, Lorita Howard and Loretta Jane L. Patin, both of New Iberia; and one granddaughter, Ciera Margaret LaBiche of New Iberia. 
Mr. LaBiche was preceded in death by his parents, Eli and Ada Landry LaBiche; and one brother, Russell LaBiche.

A native and resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Sabine died Monday, March 1, 1999, at Iberia Medical Center following a brief illness. 
Mrs. Sabine was a faithful member of Nazareth Baptist Church and a devoted housewife and mother. 
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Sabine Sr. of Jeanerette; two sons, Raymond Sabine Jr. of Franklin and Kenneth Sabine of Jeanerette; seven daughters, Cynthia Gregoire of New Iberia, Lana Sabine, Barbara Thomas, Beverly Sabine, Alice Faye Sabine, Sandra Sabine and Christine Willis, all of Jeanerette; two sisters, Hassell Johnson and Audrey Moore, both of Jeanerette; 28 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Ira Moore; one daughter, Debby Sabine of Baldwin, and two brothers, Freddie Moore Sr. and Ivory Moore.

Mrs. Campbell was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, where she served as a member of the senior choir, The Christmas Committee, the Golden Circle and the Beautician's League of Jeanerette. 
She is survived by her husband, William Campbell of Jeanerette; two sons, Wilfred Campbell and Juan Campbell, both of Jeanerette; two special devoted sons, Rev. Donald Stacy and Ella Stacy, and their wives, Percy Key and Janet Key, all of Jeanerette; three daughters, Marjorie Hopes Dunn, Brenda Campbell and Mrs. Robert (Donella) Wagner, all of Jeanerette; one brother, Charles Little of Jeanerette; two uncles, Henry "Bum" Benjamin Sr. of Franklin, and Rinzer Bouie Sr. of Jeanerette; two aunts, Viola Edwards of Jeanerette, and Blouise Salone of Franklin; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. 
Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her parents, Israel and Carrie Edwards Bouie; and one grandson, Kendrick Johnson.
Pallbearers will be Dawn Borel, Herman Ray Bouie, Rinzer Bouie Jr., Shane Campbell, Cornel DeClouet, Ollie Gilliam III, Charley Little, Earl Ray Paul, Charles Little Jr. and Fredrick Alexander. 
Honorary pallbearers will be William Campbell, Juan Campbell, Wilfred Campbell, Elton Edwards, Herman Alexander, Luther Edwards, Ja Juan Campbell, Wilbur Jones, Bernard Leonard, Charles Little Sr., Morgan Thomas, Robert Wagner, Alfred Hurst and Michael Delcambre.

Willie Mae L. Boyance
DELCAMBRE - Services for Mrs. Albert Boyance, 72, the former Willie Mae Lopez, will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Martin DePorres Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Voorhies officiating. Interment will be at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery. 
Visitation will be from 4 -10 p.m. today with an 8 p.m. rosary at St. Martin DePorres Catholic Church, which will reopen at 7 a.m. Saturday until the time of services. 
A native of Iberia Parish and a resident of Delcambre for about 50 years, Mrs. Boyance died at 7 a.m.Tuesday, March 2, 1999, at Lafayette General Medical Center following a lengthy illness. 
Mrs. Boyance was a member of St. Martin DePorres Catholic Church, the Senior Choir, the Altar Society and Prayer Group. She was recipient of the 1997 Martin Luther King Jr. Award for her work in the community. In addition she was past vice grand lady of Our Lady of the Rosary KPC Court No.115, St. Joseph Society of Delcambre and Abbeville, chairperson of the cooking committee for the OctoberFest, past member of the parish council, a member of the Trail Ride Association and a retired employee of the Iberia Parish School Board. 
She is survived by two sons, Russell Boyance of Richmond , Va., and Albert Tony Boyance of Delcambre; two daughters, Jacqueline Boyance and Claudette Boyance, both of Delcambre; five grandchildren, Barret Boyance, Chantal Boyance, Maegan Boyance, Shawn Boyance and Michael LeDon Mitchell; two sisters, Wilda L. Boyance of New Iberia and Mildred L. Thibeaux of Youngsville; one brother- in-law, Venice Boyance; two sisters-in-law, Martha Christian and Eula Lastrape; one stepbrother, Lawrence Lopez; one stepsister, Juanita Lopez; a devoted friend, Joe Nezey; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Boyance; her parents, Eraste and Clara Gilbert Lopez; and one brother, C.J. Lopez.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Chambers died at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 1999, at Dauterive Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Chambers Jr. of New Iberia; one daughter, Katherine Chambers Quereau of New Iberia; one granddaughter, Brianne Quereau of New Iberia; one grandson, Robert Quereau of New Iberia; and one son-in-law, Jacques G. Quereau of New Iberia.
Mrs. Chambers was preceded in death by her father, Rene Hebert; her mother, Lena Boutte Hebert; one son, Robert J. Chambers Jr.; one brother, Rene J. Hebert; and one sister, Gracie Colomb.

Paul S. Daspit Jr.
ST. MARTINVILLE - Services for Paul S. Daspit Jr., 83, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Evangeline Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Austin Leger officiating. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at the funeral home, which will reopen Saturday at 8 a.m.
A native of Broussard and a resident of St. Martinville, Mr. Daspit died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, at his residence.
He was a practicing attorney while serving in the U.S. Army and then in St. Martinville for 61 years. Mr. Daspit was a member of the Louisiana Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the St. Martin Parish Bar Association.
He is survived by two nephews, Michael J. Daspit of St. Martinville and David P. Daspit of Lafayette; three nieces, Celeste Daspit Bourque of Port Barre, Kathryn Daspit Bourgoyne of Baton Rouge and Kayla Daspit of Baton Rouge; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mr. Daspit was preceded in death by his parents, Paul S. and Laurence Labbe Daspit Sr.; and two brothers, Wilbur Daspit and Marcel Daspit.

A native of Abbeville and resident of Lafayette, Mr. Campbell died at 5:09 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, 1999, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Campbell of Houston; four sons, Wayne O'Hara Campbell, Adrien Campbell and Victor Ray Campbell, all of Houston, and Corey Campbell of Giddings, Texas; eight daughters, Judith Carrol Campbell, Elaine Campbell, Jai Cynthia Campbell, Vickie R. Campbell, all of Houston, Toleda Mable of Bryan, Texas, Evirgia Cora Campbell of Lafayette and Dianna Faye Campbell of Abbeville; eight brothers, Ivory Campbell, Gibson "Rick" Campbell, Micheal Campbell and Elmore Campbell, all of Abbeville, Haley Campbell Jr. and Roland W. Campbell, both of Giddings, Texas, Lloyd Campbell Sr. of Elgin, Texas, and Joseph H. Campbell of Lafayette; three sisters, Evelyn Campbell Pradia of Lafayette and Sophia Minor and Chrisilla Mire, both of Abbeville; 23 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by his parents, Haley Campbell Sr. and Veda Harrison Campbell; two brothers, Wilton Campbell and Eddie Campbell; and two sisters, Myrtle Campbell Brown and Janie Campbell Robinson.
