FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Services for Clara Ami Dugan Stansbury Johnson, 98, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Catholic Cemetery.

A native of New Iberia and resident of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Johnson died Tuesday, March 23, 1999.

Services for Mrs. Dudley Charles Babineaux, 80, the former Mildred Suire, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Evangeline Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

A native of Erath and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Babineaux died at 11:10 a.m. Thursday, March 25, 1999, at a New Iberia hospital.
Mrs. Babineaux is survived by two sons, Floyd Babineaux and his wife, Lovdi Babineaux of Irving, Texas; and Gerald Babineaux and his wife, Sandra Babineaux of New Iberia; one daughter, Mrs. "T-Neg" (Geraldine) Menard of New Iberia; two brothers, Evest Suire and Felton Suire, both of Erath; one sister, Annie Denise of New Iberia; a loving grandson who cared for her for many years, Dwayne Gaskins of New Iberia; two special nieces, Mrs. Marvin (Virgie) Copell and Mrs. Rodney (Dianne) Sonnier, both of New Iberia; five grandchildren; three step grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dudley Charles Babineaux; her parents, Placide and Emmetile Theriot Suire; one stepgrandson, Michael Menard; and one granddaughter, Bridgett Babineaux.
Pallbearers will be Brett, Brandon, Beau Jay and Ben Babineaux, Troy Deboard and Rodney Sonnier Jr.

A native of New Orleans and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Gautreaux died at 6:15 p.m. Friday, March 26, 1999, at Dauterive Hospital.
Mr. Gautreaux was retired from the Iberia Parish School Board Maintenance Department, a former carpenter for the late Mayor J. Allen Daigre and a member of Woodmen of the World and AARP.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Dautreuil Gautreaux of New Iberia; two daughters, Mary Elaine "Tudy" Gautreaux and Brenda G. Gonsoulin, both of New Iberia; one sister, Mrs. Roy (Daisy) Hebert of New Iberia; two granddaughters, Rene Boudoin of New Iberia and Angela LeBlanc of Fort Polk; one grandson, Darin Gonsoulin of New Iberia; a great-granddaughter, Misty LeBlanc of Fort Polk; and a great-grandson, Drake Bodin of New Iberia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest Randall and Eda Schutzmann Gautreaux.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Dubois died at 7:40 a.m. Sunday, March 28, 1999, at her residence.
Mrs. Dubois was the co-owner of Dubois Meat Market. She was a member of St. Anne's Altar Society. 
She is survived by one son, Harvey W. Dubois of New Iberia; one daughter, Mardra D. Grand of New Iberia; two brothers, Chester J. Comeaux and Edmund R. Comeaux, both of New Iberia; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. 
Mrs. Dubois was preceded in death by her husband, Aristide Dubois; her father, Arthur J. Comeaux; her mother, Antonia Pesson Dubois; and two sisters, Bobbie Comeaux and Dorothy Comeaux.

Mr. Hunter was formerly employed as an operations coordinator for Hornback Specialties. 
He is survived by his wife, Karla Randazzo Hunter of Broussard; his mother, Caroline Grigsby of Galveston, Texas; his mother-in-law, Rita Mae Randazzo of New Iberia; his father-in-law, Anthony Randazzo of New Iberia; two sons, Charles Philip Hunter and Michael Joseph Hunter, both of Broussard; two sisters, Katie Hunter Carline of Houston and Carla Hunter Dworaczyk of New Iberia; and five brothers, George John Hunter of Crowley, Jack Albert Hunter and Warren Nelson Hunter, both of New Iberia, James Philip Hunter of Lafayette, and William Charles Hunter of Cade.

A native of Weeks Island and a resident of Coteau, Mr. Landry died at 3:20 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 1999, in a New Orleans hospital.
Mr. Landry was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved to work in his garden and flower beds, and he loved people. Mr. Landry was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church and a member of the Cursillo movement.
He is survived by his wife, Euion Bourque Landry of Coteau; one daughter, Jamie L. Boutte, and her husband, Kirby, of Coteau; two grandsons, Travis and Doug Boutte, both of Coteau; his father-in-law, Andrew "Pete" Bourque of New Iberia; and one sister, Joyce Muffoletto of Lafayette.
Mr. Landry was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Madeline Landry Landry; his mother-in-law, Loretta R. Bourque; two brothers-in-law, Tom Muffoletto and Joel Bourque Sr.

A native of Iberia Parish and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Deslatte died at 10:55 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, 1999, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Deslatte owned and operated Barbara's Grocery and Raymond's Formica. She was a CCD teacher for Sacred Heart and also was very active at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Deslatte of New Iberia; two sons, Daniel J. Deslatte of Alexandria and Marvin G. Deslatte of New Iberia; four daughters, Gail Deslatte Slaughter and Donna Deslatte Meyers, both of New Iberia, Lisa Deslatte Laird of Princeton, Texas, and Katrina Deslatte Johnson of Las Vegas, Nev.; 10 grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.

A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Miss George died at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 22, 1999, at Dauterive Hospital from a sudden death. 
She is survived by two sons, Willie George of New Iberia, and Nicky George of Leesville; one daughter, La Toya George of New Iberia; six brothers, Albert, Russell, Steve and Patrick George, all of New Iberia, and Robert and Edward George of Houston; five sisters, Edna Thibodeaux, Eula Mae Brooks, and Rita Mae and Dora George, all of New Iberia, and Willa Mae Granger of New London, Conn.
Miss George was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Mitchell and Theresa Granger; and her brother, Walter George.

Johnny Thibodeaux

Services for Johnny Thibodeaux, 81, will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Episcopal Church of the Epiphany and at 10 a.m. Saturday Sept. 11, 1999, at St. Philips Episcopal Church in Tucson, Ariz. Interment will be in the church mausoleum.
A native of St. Martinville and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Thibodeaux died at 4:35 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, 1999, at his residence.
Mr. Thibodeaux was an entrepreneur in several different businesses. He was a past member of the Lions Club in Tucson and the Optimist Club of New Iberia. He was a member of St. Philips Episcopal Church in Tucson and Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in New Iberia.
He is survived by Evelyn R. Dickens Thibodeaux of Tucson, Ariz.; three sons, Tracy L., David A. and Wade E. Thibodeaux, all of Tucson, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Reagan, Jessica and Taylor Thibodeaux, and Casey and Heather Settle; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Dennis Thibodeaux of Lake Charles.
Mr. Thibodeaux was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Bernadette Dugas Thibodeaux; one daughter, Vickie Sue T. Settle; two brothers, Dewey Thibodeaux and Henry Bernard; and two sisters, Rita and Ruth Bernard.

Arthur H. Fleming
Realtor and banker
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 28, 1999, for Arthur Herbert Fleming, 81, a well-known New Iberia businessman, realtor and banker, who died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, 1999, in a New Orleans hospital after a two-month illness.
Services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church of New Iberia conducted by the Rev. Mike McLaurin. Visitation will be held today from 6-9 p.m. at Evangeline Funeral Home, and on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of services. 
For more than 25 years, Mr. Fleming served as managing officer and president, and later chairman of the board, of First Federal Savings and Loan Association, which he and a group of New Iberia business and professional men founded in 1959. The financial institution was located in the old Fontelieu home at 317 E. Main St., which was restored and remodeled to house the new business.
Earlier, Mr. Fleming was associated in real estate as a builder, developer and appraiser. He served as president of the Louisiana Savings and Loan League and the New Iberia Board of Realtors, and was a member of the National Association of Real Estate Appraisers, American Society of Appraisers and the U.S. League of Savings Associations. He also served as president of the New Iberia Rotary Club and United Givers' Fund. He was a 32nd degree mason.
A native of Bangor, Wisc., Mr. Fleming attended the University of Wisconsin and later Yale University while serving in the U.S. Air Force where he attained the rank of captain. As a reserve officer in the U.S. Air Force, he functioned as group commander of Group 2, Louisiana Wing, Civil Air Patrol. He came to New Iberia in 1946 to form a construction company partnership with the late W.K. Frantz Jr.
An enthusiastic sportsman, Mr. Fleming in his early years was a pitcher in semi-pro baseball in Wisconsin and until recently, was an avid skier, airplane pilot, fisherman and traveler.
In 1947 he married the late Margaret Anderson, and they had three children. In 1995 he married Kay Oliver of Cambridge, England, and they continued his love of travel.
Survivors include his wife, Kay, of New Iberia; two daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret Jean Fleming and Robert Kangas, and Lili Patricia Fleming and Dr. Walter Nieri; and a grandson, Ian Kangas-Fleming, all of Phoenix, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his first wife; his son, Arthur Scott Fleming; his parents, Hugh and Julia Anderson Fleming; and his brother and sister, Clarence and Lillian Fleming.
Pallbearers will be Bob and Ian Kangas, Walter Nieri, Jean-Marc VanGriethuysen, Davis and Nicholas Gross, and Harold Burge.
Honorary pallbearers will be Huey Segura, Jonathan Gross, Frank Bacquet, Jacob Lahasky, Richard Ferrell, Charles Bearden and Monsignor Francis Fleming.

A resident of New Iberia, Mr. Hypolite died at 1:37 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, 1999, at Iberia Medical Center.
Mr. Hypolite was employed at 4D Corrosion Control in New Iberia as a painter and sandblaster. 
He is survived by his mother, Laudry W. Hypolite of New Iberia; three sons, Walter George, Tyrone Joseph and Ernest Joseph Hypolite Jr., all of New Iberia; one daughter, Kendra Hypolite of New Iberia; one brother, Preston Hypolite of New Iberia; one stepbrother, Byron Hypolite of New Iberia; two sisters, Dianne Wells of New Iberia, and Christina Hypolite of San Francisco; one stepsister, Christy Hypolite of New Iberia; his maternal grandmother, Alzena Walker of New Iberia; one grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. 
Mr. Hypolite was preceded in death by his father, George Washington Hypolite; his maternal grandfather, Walter Walker; his paternal grandparents, Albert and Alberta L. Hypolite; one brother, Paul Hypolite; and one sister, Gail Guidry.

Mr. North was an employee of Global Industries at the Port of Iberia and a member of the U.S. Armed Forces Specialist Regular Army.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Forgey North of Scott; one son, Dylan M. North of Scott; his mother, Dorothy North Kallevick of Dartmouth, Mass.; his stepfather, John Kallevick of Dartmouth, Mass.; his stepson, Brandon Watson of Scott; two brothers, Erik and Jeffery Kallevick, both of Dartmouth, Mass.; his sister, Grace North Prescott of Clifton, Va.; his father- and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. W.H. David Funeral Home of Erath is in charge of arrangements.

Albertine H. Leblanc
Services for Mrs. Lloyd Joseph Leblanc Sr., 90, the former Albertine Hulin, will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at David Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. 
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, which will reopen Thursday from 8 a.m. until the time of services. 
A native of St. Martin Parish and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Leblanc died at 1 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, 1999, at IHS of Heritage North Nursing Home.
