QUINTER -- Rose Marion Archer, 84, Quinter, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2001.
Mrs. Archer was born Rose Marion Acrea on Oct. 12, 1917, at Kansas City, Mo. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Homer Martz, in 1958; her second husband, Charles Archer, in 1986; and a granddaughter in 1996.
Survivors include a son, Robert Martz of Wichita; two stepsons, Carey Archer of Burlington and Dennis Archer of California; a sister, Louise Wiberg of Irvine, Calif.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church, Quinter. Burial will be in Quinter Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the church or Quinter Golf Association.

Regina A. Augustine, 91, Salina, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001.

BELOIT -- Beulah Covert, 83, Beloit, died Saturday Dec. 15, 2001.

Marjorie Joy Friederich
GREEN -- Marjorie Joy Friederich, 76, Green, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2001.
Mrs. Friederich was born Marjorie Joy Sylvester on Dec. 8, 1925, at Riley. She had been a ward clerk at Clay County Hospital for two years and worked in the office of Dr. Richard Carleton, Clay Center, for 13 years.
Survivors include her husband, Armin of Green; a son, Randall of Arvada, Colo.; two daughters, Julie Yarrow of Glendale, Ariz., and Marla Pearson of Emporia; a sister, Gladys Jahnke of Powhattan; two brothers, Lyle Sylvester and Elgene Sylvester, both of Wamego; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, rural Clay County. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, rural Clay County.
Memorials may be made to the church or Gideon International Bible Fund.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home, 918 Seventh, Clay Center 67432, where the family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday.

Edna G. Grasch
HAYS -- Edna G. Grasch, 94, Hays, formerly of Natoma, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001.
Mrs. Grasch was born Edna G. Hartman on May 5, 1907, at rural Natoma. She was a local telephone operator at Natoma for several years before the dial system.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, in 1974; a son, Donald D.; and a grandson.
Survivors include a daughter, Janet Williams of Hays; a sister, Irene Lowe of Hays; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Peace Lutheran Church, Natoma. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Natoma.

NORTON -- Anna Henry, 94, Norton, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2001.
Mrs. Henry was born Anna Dolezal on May 6, 1907, at rural Ellsworth County. She was a retired cook at NCHS.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Henry, in 1988.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Stillwell and Marvin of Maywood, Neb.; a daughter, Songie McCall of Minneapolis; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Tuesday at Enfield Funeral Home, Norton. Burial will be in Norton Cemetery.

Mary Kaiser
COLLYER -- Mary Kaiser, 93, Collyer, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2001.
Mrs. Kaiser was born Mary Knoll on March 11, 1908, at Odessa, Canada. She was a homemaker and ran Mary's Cafe, Collyer, for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, in 1977.
Survivors include two sons, Phillip J. of Abilene and Ralph J. of Garden City; two daughters, Frances M. Belleau of Hill City and Betty Ann Geschwenter of Denver; five brothers, Joe Knoll, Walter Knoll, Phillip Knoll, Raymond Knoll and Jake Knoll, all of Canada; three sisters, Margaret Klien, Kate Deck and Anastasia Weisgerber, all of Canada; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael Catholic Church, Collyer. Burial will be in the church Cemetery, Collyer.
A wake will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Schmitt Funeral Home, 336 N. 12th, WaKeeney 67672.

Nell Lynch
ATCHISON -- Nell Lynch, 92, Atchison, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2001.
Miss Lynch was born Nov. 19, 1909, at rural Delphos. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Miltonvale. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Meredith.
A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Phelps Funeral Home, 217 W. First, Miltonvale 67466.

Ethan H. Mahon
Ethan H. Mahon, infant son of Audra Mahon, Salina, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2001.
Ethan was born Sept. 27, 2001, at Salina.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his grandparents, George and Carla Mahon of Salina; and his great-grandparents, Mike and Marge Rothfuss of Hastings, Neb.
The service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina.

PLAINVILLE -- Stella L. McConchie, 94, Plainville, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2001.
Mrs. McConchie was born Stella L. Carmichael on Dec. 12, 1907, at rural Ellis County. She was a teacher and a homemaker and helped run the family farm.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" in 1964; and a daughter, Delma Shoulders, in 1997.
Survivors include a son, Dale of Plainville; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Plainville United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Plainville Cemetery.

Mrs. Redetzke was born Mary K. Tinkel on April 30, 1917, at rural Barton County. She retired from the USD 354 school lunch program.
Survivors include three sisters, Elizabeth Zorn of Claflin, Ann Urban of Hoisington and Bernice Zorn of Smith Center; and a brother, Albert Tinkel of Claflin.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Claflin. Burial will be in Claflin Cemetery.

Mrs. Reinhardt was born Laverne Shaver on July 26, 1915, at rural Bunker Hill. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold L., in 2000.
Survivors include a son, Donald J. of Russell; a daughter, Sandra Kay Shea of Colwich; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Russell City Cemetery.

Mr. Smith was born May 23, 1924, at Sycamore, Mo. He was the retired president of Triangle Well Service, Ellis.
Survivors include his wife, Norene of the home; a son, Rick of Buhler; a brother, Theodore of Springfield, Mo.; three granchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Wasinger Funeral Chapel, Ellis. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Ellis.

GREAT BEND -- Clara Lucille Sweetman, 78, Great Bend, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2001.
Mrs. Sweetman was born Clara Lucille Kreutzer on Dec. 21, 1922, at Liebenthal. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, T.D., in 1985; and a daughter, Donna J. Kern.
Survivors include a son, Gary Dino of Great Bend; a daughter, Tammy Scheuerman of Great Bend; three brothers, John Kreutzer of Wichita, Joe Kreutzer of Lenexa and George Kreutzer of Midland, Texas; two sisters, Melvina Francis of Great Bend and Geneva Sweetman of Wichita; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Great Bend. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery.

AUSTIN, Texas -- Laura Vade, 95, Austin, formerly of Olpe, Kan., died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2001.
Mrs. Vade was born Laura Moellman on July 18, 1906, at Olpe. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John E., in 1982.
Survivors include a son, John E. Jr. of Texas; five daughters, Delores Johannessen and Jacalyn Clerk, both of California, Marie McDuffee of Kansas, Virginia Patterson of Texas and Rosemary Woods of Colorado; and 28 grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Pfeifer, Kan. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pfeifer.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Joe E. "Peppy Joe" Vocasek
WILSON -- Joe E. "Peppy Joe" Vocasek, 88, Wilson, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2001.
Mr. Vocasek was born June 5, 1913, at Wilson. He was a retired barber.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, in 1987.
Survivors include his caretaker, Jean T. Kingston.
Inurnment will be at a later date in Wilson Cemetery.

HERINGTON -- Leonard B. Weatherman, 91, Herington, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2001.
Mr. Weatherman was born April 20, 1910, at Pocatello, Idaho. He was the owner of Child's Clothing Store, Herington, retiring in 1975.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Laura L., in 1982.
Survivors include his wife, Naoma of Herington, and a son, Bill of Culpeper, Va.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church, Herington. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington, with military rites by a special funeral detail from Fort Riley.
