Marguerite T. McCarthy, 93 living at Miller's Merry Manor in Plymouth, Indiana, died at 2:16 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2000 at St. Joseph Regional .Medical Center Plymouth Campus.
Marguerite was born to James Monehen and Delia Byrne on October 15, 1906 in Logansport, Indiana. She was married in September of 1931 to Joseph M. McCarthy in Chicago, Illinois. She had lived in Plymouth, Indiana for the past three years, going there from the Culver area. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church of Plymouth, Indiana.
Marguerite is survived by her son, Patrick B. (Dolores) McCarthy of Culver, Indiana, two grandsons, Timothy (Joy) McCarthy of Culver, Indiana, PatMac Jones of Cumming, Georgia, two granddaughters, Cathy (Scott) Bennett of Culver, Indiana, Marellen (Greg) Turner of Marietta, Georgia, 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph M. McCarthy on January 23, 1958, a daughter, Delann Jones, her parents, one brother, and one sister.
Visitation will be on Sunday, March 26, 2000 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Bonine Funeral Home. Rev. Expedito Muwonge will officiate the service which will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 27, 2000 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Plymouth, Indiana. Interment will follow at the St. Vincent's Cemetery in Logansport, Indiana.

Bertha May Rust
September 5, 1908 - March 18, 2000
Bertha May Rust, 91 of 830 College Avenue, Culver, Indiana, died at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2000 at Miller's Merry Manor in Culver, Indiana.
Bertha was born to Scott and Mary (Gelfius) Setser on September 10, 1908 in Columbus, Indiana. She has lived in the Culver area from many years. Before moving to Culver, she was married on August 25, 1931 in Columbus, Indiana to Robert T. Rust. She was a member of the Grace Church in Culver. Before retirement, Bertha was a music teacher for the Culver Elementary School.
Bertha is survived by her daughter, Barbara J. (James) Watters of Midlothian, Virginia, two grandsons, Michael R. (Deborah) Watters of Indianapolis, Indiana, Alan J. (Joanna) Watters of Birmingham, Alabama, granddaughter, Suzanne L. (Mark) Saunders of Chester, Virginia, and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert T. Rust, father, Scott Setser, mother, Mary (Gelsius) Setser, and one sister.
Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21 at Bonine Funeral Home. Rev. J. William Schiller will officiate the service which will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2000 at Culver Grace United Church of Christ, Culver, Indiana,. Interment will follow at 4:00 p.m. in Columbus, Indiana at the Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Culver Grace United Church of Christ.

Billy R. Wennerstrom
December 24, 1924 - March 6, 2000
Billy R. Wennerstrom, 75, of 18250 Lincolnway West, Plymouth, Indiana, died at 1:45 p.m. on Monday, March 6, 2000 at Miller's Merry Manor in Plymouth, Indiana.
Mr. Wennerstrom was born to August and Naomi (Johnston) Wennerstrom on December 24, 1924, in Culver, Indiana. He is survived by his wife, Helen Wennerstrom of Plymouth, Indiana, a step-son, Kenneth Rodgers of Plymouth, Indiana, three step-daughters, Viola (Allen) Luse of Monon, Indiana, Phyllis Reinhold of Culver, Indiana, Sue Rodgers of Plymouth, Indiana, eight step-great-grandchildren, twelve step-grandchildren, four brothers, Clarence Wennerstrom of Carlson City, Nevada, Knight Wennerstrom of Plymouth, Indiana, Culver Wennerstrom of Mishawaka, Indiana, August Wennerstrom of Mishawaka, Indiana, a sister, Leonora (Ann) Gibbons of Rochester, Indiana, several nieces, and several nephews. He was preceded in death by one step-son, his father, August Wennerstrom, mother, Naomi Wennerstrom, and one brother.
Visitation was at Bonine Funeral Home for three hours before the funeral service on Thursday, March 9, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Daniel J. Berger officiated the service. Interment followed at the Culver Masonic Cemetery in Culver, Indiana.

Homer L. Crable
October 22, 1913 - February 24, 2000
Homer L. Crable, 86 of 7444 Storm St., Leiters Ford, Indiana, died at 11:19 p.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2000 at Woodlawn Hospital in Rochester, Indiana, after a long illness.
Homer was born to Roy Crable and Emma Lavenia on October 22, 1913 in Topeka, Kansas. He was married on March 15, 1935 at Osage, Kansas to Helen Wright.
Homer is survived by two sons, Butch Crable of Wichita, Kansas, Donnie Crable of Wichita, Kansas, four daughters, Ruth A. (Leroy) Karn of Leiters Ford, Indiana, Delores J. (Gordon) Padfield of Santa Ana, California, Janice Crable of Beaumont, Texas, Carol (Jim) Ruth of Kansas City, Missouri, 16 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Crable, one son, father, Roy Crable, mother, Emma Crable, two brothers, and two sisters.
Visitation was from 4:00- 8:00 p.m. Sunday, February 27, 2000 at Bonine Funeral Home. Rev. Floyd G. Allen officiated the service which took place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 28, 2000 at Bonine Funeral Home, Culver. Interment followed at the Leiters Ford I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Leiters Ford, Indiana.

Susanna V. Strobel
August 5, 1904 - February 10, 2000
Susanna V. Strobel, 95, of 5349 Clarabella Road, Clare, Michigan, died Thursday, February 10, 2000 at 7:08 a.m. in Clare.
Susanna was born August 5, 1904 in Berwyn, Illinois to Fredrick and Katherin Torde. They preceded her in death. On November 23, 1927, Susanna married Joseph Strobel in Berwyn, Illinois. He preceded her in death on March 3, 1990. A retired seamstress of Hart-Schattner & Marx in Rochester, Susanna was a member of St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church in Culver. In 1994 she moved from Culver to Clare, Michigan. 
Survivors include one son, Donald J. Strobel of Clare, Michigan; two daughters, Phyllis (Raymond) Jagielo of Almond, Wisconsin and Dolores Englebrecht of Leiters Ford; 19 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Audrey M. Hartle, and one grandchild. 
Visitation was held Sunday, February 13, 2000 from 2 to 8 p.m. at Bonine Funeral Home. Funeral services was Monday, February 14, 2000 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's of the Lake Church in Culver with the Rev. Jeffery Largent officiating. Burial followed in the Culver Masonic Cemetery.

Harold M. Mahler
July 20, 1921 - October 18, 2002
Harold M. Mahler, 81, of 1013 Pennsylvania Avenue, Plymouth, Indiana, died at 11:45AM on Friday, October 18, 2002, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, Indiana. 
Harold was born on July 20, 1921 to Melvin E. and Abbie (Guise) Mahler at Delong, Indiana. He was married on November 9, 1944 in Australia to Norma E. Thompson. She survives. 
Harold is also survived by his loving family - sons: Melvin (Carole) Mahler of Plymouth, Indiana and Allan (Ann) Mahler of Seminole, Oklahoma; daughter: Catherine (William) Ruhling of Ambler, Pennsylvania; granddaughters: Jacqueline Good of Mishawaka, Indiana and Cristina Mahler of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and grandson: James Mahler of Plymouth, Indiana.
Visitation with the family will be Monday, October 21, 2002, from 2:00 - 8:00PM at the Bonine Funeral Home in Culver, Indiana. Rev. Dorothy Jones will officiate services on Tuesday, October 22, 2002 at 11:00AM at the Bonine Funeral Home in Culver, Indiana. Interment will follow at Leiters Ford I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Marshall County Hospice.

Marie Clopton
September 12, 1926 - January 21, 2000
Marie Clopton, 73, of 9975 W. 700 N., Delong, IN, died at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 21, 2000 at Woodlawn Hospital in Rochester, IN. She was born in Chicago, IL to Marion and Eva (Davis) Warren. She lived in the Culver area since 1967 coming from Chicago. Marie married John Clopton during the summer of 1973 at Rochester, IN.
Marie is survived by her husband John Clopton, a sister Eva Mae Rodgers of Kalamazoo, MI, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by one son and one brother.
Visitation was from 11:00 a.m. until noon on Wednesday, January 26, 2000, with the funeral service starting at 12:00 noon. A committal service took place directly after the service at the IOOF Cemetery in Leiters Ford, IN.

Warren L. Myers, Sr.
October 1, 1915 - January 20, 2000
Warren L. Myers, Sr., 17790 14th Road, Culver, died on Tuesday, January 20, 2000 at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home in Plymouth, Indiana. 
Mr. Myers was born in Ober, Indiana, on October 1, 1915. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Edna (Emigh) Myers.
Mr. Myers was a lifetime resident of the Culver area. On June 6, 1939, he married Hazel Fisher in Knox, Indiana. She preceded him in death on January 10, 1992. He is survived by two sons, George Myers of Plymouth, IN, Warren L. Myers, Jr. of Germany, Two daughters, Joyce A. Wilson of Culver, Karen Sue (William) Ronk of Plymouth, IN, a brother Vernon Myers of Lake City, Florida and a sister Pauline (Pat) Segelstrom of LaPorte, IN, 12 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren. 
Visitation was on Saturday, January 22, 2000 from 2:00 - 8:00 PM at Bonine Funeral Home. The funeral service took place at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 23 at Bonine Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Vardaman officiated the services. Interment was at the Burr Oak Cemetery directly after the service. Memorial Contributions may be sent to the donor's choice.

Ronald R. Mackey
October 14, 1923 - January 4, 2000
Ronald R. Mackey, 76, of 18205 West Shore Circle, died on Tuesday, January 4, 2000 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Plymouth Campus, in Plymouth, IN. 
Mr. Mackey was born in Bicknell, Indiana, on October 14, 1923. He was preceeded in death by his parents, Noble and Hazel Page Mackey.
On October 28, 1945, he married Ruth Mattox, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Carol Lyn Ewing of Indianaplis, IN, three sons, Dr. Richard (Diane) Mackey of DuBois, PA., Dennis (Stephanie) Mackey of Zionsville, IN., Donald Mackey of Culver, IN.; two grandsons, Matthew Ewing and Stephen Mackey; and by three granddaughters, Jenna Mackey, Nicole Mackey, and Amy Van der Vliet. 
Mr. Mackey served his country in World War II, spending 14 months in a German prison camp. He later was employed as a rural mail carrier for 30 years. At retirement in 1982, he and his wife opened The Collectors, an antique business in the town of Culver.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Culver EMS. 

Donald G. Davis
December 26, 1931 - April 21, 2001
Donald G. Davis os 520 Liberty Street, Culver, Indiana, died at 7:00PM on April 21, 2001in Culver, Indiana.
Donald was born to Harold Davis and Blanche Bender on December 26, 1931 in Culver, Indiana. He was married on March 24, 1956, in Mishawaka, Indiana, to E. Jane Hawk. She survives.
Donald is also survived by one son: Gregory (Gaile) Davis of Rochester, Indiana; one daughter: Martha (Beckham) Miller of Ottumwa, Iowa; three step-brothers: Virgil Albert of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Vaughn Albert of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Vance Albert of Hibbard, Indiana; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 23, 2001 from 2:00 - 8:00PM at Bonine Funeral Home. Reverend Matthew Moser will officiate services on Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at the First Baptist Church of Plymouth in Plymouth, Indiana. Interment will follow at Culver Masonic Cemetery, Culver, Indiana. Veteran graveside rites will be given at the cemetery.

Lillian G. Brucker
August 24, 1920 - June 1, 2001
Lillian G. Brucker, of 6160 East Co. Rd. 250 North, Monterey, Indiana, died on June 1, 2001, at 5:45AM in Kokomo, Indiana.
Lillian was born on August 24, 1920, in Monterey, Indiana, to Richard Overmyer and Ruth Reinhold Overmyer. She was married on September 30, 1945, at Monterey, Indiana, to Charles H. Brucker. He preceded her in death on March 20, 1992.
Lillian is survived by two daughters: Barbara A. Brucker of Winamac, Indiana, and Charlotte Rymph of Monterey, Indiana; one sister: Lenore Kline of Monterey, Indiana; and one brother: Charles Overmyer of Winamac, Indiana.
Visitation will be on Sunday, June 3, 2001 from 2:00 - 8:00PM at Bonine Funeral Home in Culver, Indiana. Reverend Dorothy Jones and Pastor Jarrel Hartle will officiate the services which will take place at Bonine Funeral Home on Monday, June 4, 2001at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in the Riverside Memorial Cemetery in Monterey, Indiana. 

Clarence W. Epley
May 8, 1923 - December 10, 2001
Clarence W. Epley, 78, of 512 Forest Place, Culver, Indiana, died at 10:00PM on December 10, 2001, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth, Indiana.
Clarence was born on May 8, 1923, to Clarence W. and Eva Stock Epley, at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. He was married on August 24, 1946, at Culver, Indiana, to Jeanne Keller. She survives.
In addition to his wife, Clarence is survived by his son: C. William Epley III, Culver, Indiana; his daughter: Elaine Epley Moss of Belleview, Nebraska; 4 granddaughters: Brooke, Brittney, and Lindsey Epley of Culver, Indiana, and Jennifer Epley Garrett of Indianapolis, Indiana; one grandson: Maxwell James Garrett of Indianapolis, Indiana; and one brother: Dr. Richard D. Epley of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
Rev. William Schiller will officiate services on Friday, December 14, 2001 at 2:00PM at the Culver Grace United Church of Christ in Culver, Indiana. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Memorial contributions may be given to Culver Grace United Church of Christ or the Culver Educational Foundation. The Bonine Funeral Home, Culver, Indiana, is in charge of arrangements.

Irma A. Overmyer
January 28, 1920 - January 8, 2002
Irma Overmyer, 81, of 111 Greenwood Place, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, died at 6:00PM on January 8, 2002, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Irma was born on January 28, 1920, to Roscoe and Elva Savage Stevens at Culver, Indiana. She was married on July 29, 1945, at Culver, Indiana, to Irvin A. Overmyer. He survives.
Irma is survived by her husband: Irvin A. Overmyer; her sons: Phillip Overmyer of Hattiesburg, Mississippi and Steven Overmyer of Elgin, Illinois; her daughter: Linda Hjorth of Glen Ellyn, Illinois; two grandsons: Michael Overmyer and Josh Hjorth; and four granddaughters: Robin and Kelly Hjorth and Lillian and Hannah Overmyer.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 17, 2002 from 9:00 - 11:00AM at the Bonine Funeral Home in Culver, Indiana. Rev. Gerald Hallman will officiate services on Thursday, January 17, 2002 at 11:00AM at the Bonine Funeral Home in Culver, Indiana. Interment will follow at the Burr Oak Cemetery. Lyman (Gene) Morris, 71, of 235 Old Waterford Road, Leesburg, Virginia, died at 10:00AM on January 13, 2002, at Loudoun Long Term Care Center, Leesburg, Virginia.
Lyman was born on June 5, 1930, to Lyman W. and Hazel Overmyer Morris, at Culver, Indiana. He was married on January 28, 1956, at Burr Oak, Indiana, to Peggy Crum. She preceded him in death in 1992.
Lyman is survived by his son: William E. (Debbie) Morris of Sterling, Virginia; his daughter: Sandra (Cary) Hunter of Waterford, Virginia; one brother: John G. Morris of Ormon Beach, Florida; one sister: Judy A. Hunter of New Albany, Indiana; a sister-in-law: GeorgeAnn Morris of Boise, Idaho; and 3 grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, January 18, 2002 from 4:00 - 8:00PM and Saturday, January 19, 2002 from 1:00 - 2:00PM at the Bonine Funeral Home in Culver, Indiana. Pastor Linda Craig will officiate services on Saturday, January 19, 2002 at 2:00PM at the Bonine Funeral Home in Culver, Indiana. Interment will follow at the Culver Masonic Cemetery. Lois J. Tasch, 82, of Indianapolis, Indiana, formerly of Culver, Indiana, died at 2:05AM on Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at Westside Retirement Village, Indianapolis, Indiana. 
Lois was born on April 22, 1920 to Alfred and Elva Paul Peterson, at Wessington, South Dakota. She was married on May 27, 1947 at Winamac, Indiana to Kenneth A. Tasch . He preceded her in death on January 5, 1992. 
Lois is survived by her son: Kenneth P. Tasch of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter: Kathryn L. Weirick of Indianapolis, Indiana; and grandchildren: Troy Weirick of Chicago, Illinois and Leigh (Suzanne) Weirick of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Visitation will be Thrusday, May 9, 2002 from 2:00 - 8:00PM at the Bonine Funeral Home in Culver, Indiana with V.F.W. Auxiliary services at 7:30PM. Rev. J. William Schiller will officiate services on Friday, May 10, 2002 at 11:00AM at the Grace United Church of Christ of Culver, Indiana. Interment will follow at Culver Masonic Cemetery. Kenneth C. Aemmer, 50, of Jacksonville, Florida, formerly of Plymouth, Indiana, died at 9:30AM on Sunday, May 26, 2002, at his residence. 
Kenneth was born on May 29, 1951, to Forrest and Gladys Van der Hoogt Aemmer, at Macomb, Illinois. 
In addition to his mother, Kenneth is also survived by his son: Cameron Aemmer of Jacksonville, Florida; daughters: Natalie Aemmer of Jacksonville, Florida and Kasey (Sheldon) Hensley of Tippecanoe, Indiana; brother: Michael C. (Nancy) Aemmer of Mishawaka, Indiana; sister: Patricia (Ronald) Reisner of Tampa, Florida; and two granddaughters: Madison Hensley of Tippecanoe, Indiana and Abbey James of Culver, Indiana.
