MABEL S. BAUER, 85, of Batesville, died Monday at Westminster Village, Indianapolis. Born in Batesville, she was a homemaker. Her husband, Arthur, died in 1993. During World War II, she worked as an electrician and was involved in the construction of B-24 bomber planes at Willow Run Bomber Plant in Ypsilanti, Mich. Her husband, Boyd D., died in 1985. Surviving are three daughters, Connie Simmons of Bryan, Deborah Luterek of Northville, Mich., and Betty Jean Gallagher of Columbus; and four grandchildren.
