Johanna M. Townsend 
Johanna "Josie" May Townsend, 86, of Springfield died at 2 a.m. Monday at St. John's Hospital. 
She was born Oct. 18, 1905, in Lexington, Ky., the daughter of William and Maude Corzine Walsh. She married Clyde K. Townsend in 1926 in Auburn, and he preceded her in death in 1969. Also preceding her in death were one son, James A. Townsend, in 1986; one brother, William Walsh; and one sister, Margaret Storey. 
A resident of Springfield since 1927, Mrs. Townsend was a homemaker and a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and Blessed Sacrament Altar and Rosary Society and was a former member of Catholic Daughters of America. 
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Mary Jane Rothman of Rochester; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. 
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Hugh Cassidy officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.  - State Journal-Register (Springfield, IL)  November 19, 1991 

Steven Spencer 
Steven Spencer, 2, of Springfield died at 8:45 p.m. Friday at St. John's Hospital. 
He was born June 6, 1989, in Springfield, the son of Steven Terry and Dawn Marie Spencer. 
In addition to his parents, surviving are twin brothers, Mark Earl and Marcus Earl Spencer, both of Lexington, Miss.; one sister, Maxine Marie Spencer of Springfield; grandparents, Ethel M. Spencer and Jessie Lacy, both of Springfield; great-grandparents, Lula Spencer of Chicago and Tommy Deering of Lexington, Miss.; two aunts; 12 great-aunts; six great-uncles; several cousins. 
Services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at James D. Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Willie Crawford officiating. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Oak Ridge Cemetery.  - State Journal-Register (Springfield, IL)  November 19, 1991 

Loren E. Lock 
Loren E. "Zeke" Lock, 72, of Springfield died at 2:15 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Medical Center. 
He was born Oct. 8, 1919, in Springfield, the son of Nelson and Gretta Bridge Lock. He married Mary Elizabeth Weaver in 1956. Preceding him in death were seven brothers and one sister. Mr. Lock retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 33 years of service. 
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, life member of the Disabled American Veterans and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army, where he earned the EAMA ribbon with three battle stars. 
Surviving are his wife, Mary Elizabeth; two sons, Dennis Jon of Springfield and Robert Edmund of Chicago; two daughters, Rebecca Morrow and Carrie Hutton, both of Springfield; eight grandchildren; and one sister, Gretta Johnston. 
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Camp Butler National Cemetery.

Virginia E. Figueira 
Virginia Essie Figueira, 83, of Pojoaque, N.M., formerly of Springfield, died Friday at Los Alamos Medical Center in Los Alamos, N.M. She was born June 17, 1908, in Springfield, the daughter of Myron Alexander and Essie Christine Crow Long. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Frank Figueira, in 1950. Mrs. Figueira resided in Springfield most of her life and was employed by the state Department of Mental Health for 38 years. She retired in 1971 and moved to New Mexico, living in Santa Fe until 1983 and in Pojoaque at the time of her death. 
Mrs. Figueira was a member of First Christian Church, Flower City Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star and American Business Women's Association. She was a member of the Santa Fe Women's Club and Library Association and served two terms as its president from 1976 to 1978. Surviving are one son, Joseph F. of Pojoaque, N.M.; two grandchildren; two nephews; and one great-niece. 
Remains were cremated. 
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at McGee Memorial Chapel, Santa Fe, N.M. Interment will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.  - State Journal-Register (Springfield, IL)  November 19, 1991 

Anna M. Lawson 
Anna Marie Lawson, 83, of Springfield died at 2:20 a.m. Monday at St. John's Hospital. 
She was born March 6, 1908, in Springfield, the daughter of Joseph and Tillie Knowski. She married Harry C. Lawson in Springfield and he preceded her in death in 1962. Also preceding her in death were three brothers, George, John and Joseph Knowski; and four sisters, Marie Olson, Rose Hamrick, Pauline Mosier and Sophia Williams. 
Mrs. Lawson was formerly employed by the International Shoe Factory. She was a lifelong resident of Springfield and had been a member of Third Presbyterian Church since 1936. Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including Mrs. Ron (Joyce) Shepard of Springfield; several great-nieces and great-nephews.   Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Roselawn Memorial Park, with the Rev. Helen D. Crane 
Helen D. Crane, 92, of Springfield, formerly of Dawson, died at 6:25 a.m. Monday at her residence. 
She was born Dec. 18, 1898, in Sangamon County, the daughter of Charles L. and Jennie Richardson Turley. She married W.R. "Ray" Crane in 1921 and he preceded her in death in 1963. Also preceding her in death were two grandchildren; two brothers, Charles L. and B. Earl Turley; and two sisters, Reed and Mary Turley.   Mrs. Crane was a member of Douglas Avenue United Methodist Church. 
Surviving are two sons, Norman R. of Springfield and H. Keith of Richmond, Va.; one daughter, Mary Margaret "Peg" Raynolds of Springfield; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. 
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Douglas Avenue United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Robert McDonald officiating. Leroy F. Kribbs, 40, of Springfield died at 2:15 a.m. Monday at his residence. 
He was born Sept. 15, 1951, in Springfield, the son of Leroy and Charlotte Volle Kribbs. His father preceded him in death. He attended Lanphier High School and was formerly employed at Vickers Manufacturing Co. 
Surviving are his mother, Charlotte; three sisters, Mrs. Roger (Pauline) Ladage of Virden, Mrs. Dan (Roberta) Burlo of Baileys Harbor, Wis., and Mrs. Paul (Charlotte) Piscitelli of Saugus, Mass.; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pauline Kuhn 
Pauline Kuhn, 75, of Peoria died at 9 p.m. Sunday at Rosewood Nursing Home in Peoria. 
She was the daughter of Louis and Emma Augspurger. She married Harold Kuhn in 1936. Preceding her in death were one son, Donald; and one grandson.   Mrs. Kuhn was a member of Glen Oak Christian Church in Peoria.

John P. Fullenwider
John Patton Fullenwider, 81, of Mechanicsburg died at 6:43 p.m. Monday at Clarkston Court. 
He was born Oct. 30, 1910, in Mechanicsburg, the son of John E. and Ethel Thompson Fullenwider. He was preceded in death by one sister, Emily Fullenwider in 1988. Mr. Fullenwider attended DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind., and was a funeral director with his father at Fullenwider Funeral Home in Mechanicsburg until retiring in 1989. He served on the Sangamon County Board for five terms. He was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity and the Mechanicsburg Cemetery Association. He was past president of the board of trustees of Mechanicsburg United Methodist Church, former trustee of the Mechanicsburg Fire Protection District and past master of Carlock Lodge 904, AF&AM. Mr. Fullenwider's great-great-grandfather was one of the Long Nine members of the Illinois legislature instrumental in relocating the state capital from Vandalia to Springfield.   Surviving are his wife, Emily of Riverton; one daughter, Ann Wesermann of Springfield; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.   Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Mechanicsburg United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Harvey Wright officiating. Rosie A. Young 
Rosie Ann Young, 66, of Lexington, Miss., died at 5:22 p.m. Saturday at Baptist Medical Center, Jackson, Miss. 
She was born March 13, 1925, in Pickens, Miss., the daughter of Ben and Mattie Ann Anderson. She married James Young Sr. in 1941. Preceding her in death were three sons, three daughters, one brother and two sisters. 
Mrs. Young was a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church, Lexington, Miss. 
Surviving are her husband, James; seven sons, James Jr. and Ray, both of Waterloo, Iowa, Arthur of Roswell, N.M., Jimmie, Calvin, David and Maurice, all of Jackson, Miss.; six daughters, Mary Ann Newman and Maggie Brown, both of Springfield, Harriet Lindsey and Janice Lawrence, both of Jackson, Miss., Suzanne Mosley of Terry, Miss., and Mattie Ann Jefferson of Lexington, Miss.; 47 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Rose Lee Garvin of New Orleans, La., and Janie Johnson of Cleveland, Ohio. 
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Salem Missionary Baptist Church, Lexington, Miss., with the Rev. J.L. Williams officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Lexinton, Miss.

Kathleen Neeley 
Kathleen "Peggy" Neeley, 83, of Springfield, died at 3:40 p.m. Monday at St. John's Hospital. 
She was born Feb. 28, 1908, in Summersville, Ky., the daughter of William Henry and Rebecca Noe Dodd. Preceding her in death were her first husband, Albert Black, her second husband, Lloyd Neeley, and a sister. 
Surviving are two daughters, Irene Teyshak of Springfield and Ethel Buehler of Chestnut; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. 
Private graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mount Pulaski Cemetery.

Michael L. Bean, 45, of Donnellson, formerly of Auburn, died at 6 p.m. Sunday at his residence. 
He was born Nov. 28, 1946, in Paducah, Ky., the son of James Harold and Willie Mae Kelly Bean. 
A graduate of DePaul University, Mr. Bean was formerly employed by the state Department of Transportation. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. 
Surviving are one son, Jim of Auburn; two daughters, Katherine and Jennifer Bean, both of Auburn; one brother, Charles of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one nephew; one aunt; one uncle; and one cousin.

She was born July 16, 1896, in Belleville, the daughter of George and Iona Givenrod Swain. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles. 
Mrs. Poore was a member of Havard Park Baptist Church. 
Surviving are one son, Donald Gwin of Springfield; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Forest Lonion of Springfield; several nieces and nephews.

Priscilla Angelo 
Priscilla Angelo of Springfield died at 6:25 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Medical Center. 
She was born in Jacksonville, the daughter of Samuel and Mary Bornguesser Angelo. She was preceded in death by one sister, Hazel. 
Miss Angelo was employed by Illinois National Insurance Co. for more than 40 years. She was a member of Central Christian Church of Jacksonville, Women's Club and Brinkerhoff Home Auxiliary. 
Surviving are one niece, two nephews, five great-nieces, one great-nephew and one cousin. 
Private graveside services will be at noon Thursday at Diamond Grove Cemetery, Jacksonville, with Dr. Ambrose Stump officiating.

Doyle W. Heldebrandt 
Doyle W. Heldebrandt, 70, of Nokomis died at 11:20 a.m. Tuesday at his residence. 
He was born Feb. 9, 1921, in Nokomis, the son of Charley and Ethel Ammerman Heldebrandt. He married Dorothy Saatkamp in 1949 in Mattoon. Three brothers preceded him in death. 
Mr. Heldebrandt was a retired farmer and a member of Witt Christian Church. 
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy; two sons, John of Nokomis and James of Springfield; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Mildred Spears of Nokomis.

Hazel Volle 
Hazel Richards Volle, 89, of Springfield died at 3:05 a.m. Tuesday at Heritage Manor. 
She was born Aug. 6, 1902, in Bellefonte, Pa., the daughter of Frank and Amanda McCelland Thomas. She married Frank Richards in 1920, and he died in 1933. She then married Frank Volle in 1957, and he died in 1968. Also preceding her in death were three brothers. 
Mrs. Volle was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a former member of Trinity Lutheran Ladies Aid and Willing Workers Quilters. 
Surviving are two daughters, Dorothy Hawker of Springfield and Mary Erickson of Green Bay, Wis.; one stepson, Robert Volle of Springfield; two stepdaughters, Charlotte Kribbs of Springfield and Loretta Uhls of Texas; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
