Jennifer M. Grundel 
Jennifer M. Grundel, 19, of Springfield died Friday in Jackson, Wyo. 
She was born Sept. 26, 1973, in Galesburg, the daughter of James R. and Mary F. Arnoldy Grundel. 
Miss Grundel was employed at the Grand Teton National Park Signal Mountain Lodge in Wyoming. She was a member of St. Agnes Church, a 1991 graduate of Sacred Heart-Griffin High School and a student at Northeast Missouri State University. 
Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James R. (Mary F.) Grundel of Springfield; sister, Mary Elizabeth Grundel of Austin, Texas; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Francis (Roberta) Arnoldy of Webster Grove, Mo.; several aunts and uncles; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 
Memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Agnes Church, with the Rev. Patrick Wright officiating.

Gino J. Bressan 
Gino J. Bressan, 83, of Springfield died at 10:17 a.m. Sunday at Burlington Memorial Hospital in Burlington, Wis. 
He was born Oct. 9, 1909, in Springfield, the son of Luigi Valentino and Guiditta Maria Marozzin Bressan. He married Clarice Bourgasser in 1936 in Springfield. Preceding him in death were his wife, Clarice, in 1992; and brother, Olindo Bressan. 
Mr. Bressan was employed for many years by Fitzpatrick Lumber Co., later with Vredenburgh Lumber Co. and George S. Grimmett and Co. as a tarrazzo grinder. He was later employed by Ace Sign Co. as a handyman. 
Surviving are two sons, Louis Bressan of Burlington, Wis., and James Bressan of Springfield; two daughters, Carol Bressan of Springfield and Sharon Wiest of Havana; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Ines Bressan of Springfield; a niece; and two nephews. 
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Warren Wilkewitz officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. - State Journal-Register (Springfield, IL)  September 21, 1993

Dorothy M. Burrell 
Dorothy Mae Burrell, 73, of Springfield died at 2:53 a.m. Monday at St. John's Hospital. 
She was born Jan. 26, 1920, the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth Sellers Flowers. She married William Burrell in 1946. Surviving are husband, William; two sisters, Corrinna Woolery and Cornelia Lucas, both of Springfield; several nieces and nephews; and a great-nephew. 
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Camp Butler National Cemetery, with Dr. Rudolph Shoultz officiating.

Tubal C. Holmes 
Tubal C. Holmes, 82, of Springfield died at 7:30 a.m. Sunday at his residence. 
He was born Dec. 23, 1910, in DuQuoin, the son of John Holmes and Stella Lott Holmes. He married Irene B. Smith in 1942. Preceding him in death were three brothers, John Holmes, Julian Holmes and Selwyn Holmes; and a sister, Myrtle Hayden. 
Mr. Holmes was a custodian for the state of Illinois and First Christian Church. He was a member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church. 
Surviving are his wife, Irene B. Holmes; son, Tubal Holmes of Peoria; two grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Zion Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Samuel Hale Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.   W.W. White-Pettiford Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. - State Journal-Register (Springfield, IL)  September 21, 1993

Elizabeth B. Rissler 
Elizabeth B. Rissler, 83, of Springfield died at 8:25 p.m. Saturday. 
She was born Nov. 27, 1909, in Red Oak, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Bonnie Boll. She married Howard Rissler in 1935. Preceding her in death were her husband, Howard, in 1989; and a brother, William Boll. 
Mrs. Rissler was retired from the state of Illinois. She had worked in the departments of personnel, revenue, auditor and secretary of state, and for the Illinois Legislative Council. She was a member of the League of Women Voters and a member of the Presidents Club of that organization. She graduated from Red Oak Junior College and Chicago Musical College. She co-authored several publications. 
Surviving are several cousins; two sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. 
Remains were cremated.  Memorial services may be held at a future date.

Gerald L. Daugherty 
Gerald L. Daugherty, 55, of Colp, formerly of Springfield, died at 9 p.m. 
Saturday at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. 
He was born June 20, 1938, in Shaws Point, the son of Harley Daugherty Sr. and Jean Austin Linhart. He married Georgia Lee in 1978 in Carterville. He was preceded in death by his father, Harley Sr., and a brother, Lawrence. 
Mr. Daugherty was a benefits counselor for the Veterans Administration Hospital in Marion. He was a staff sergeant in the Army for 17 years and served in Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of VFW Post 1567 and American Legion Post 645, both in Herrin. He was also a member of the DAV in Franklin County. 
Surviving are his wife, Georgia; two sons, Kevin Daugherty of Carterville and Brian Daugherty of Camp Pendleton, Calif.; two daughters, Angela King of Zeigler and Jerri Daugherty of Colp; five grandchildren; mother, Jean Linhart of Springfield; and three brothers, Allen and Earl Daugherty, both of Springfield, and Harley Daugherty Jr. of Pennsylvania. 
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Riggin-Pillatsch Funeral Home in Carterville, with the Rev. David Schaffer officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Carterville. - State Journal-Register (Springfield, IL)  September 21, 1993

Henry O. Bauer 
Henry O. Bauer, 92, of Springfield, formerly of Morrisonville and Pawnee, died at 2:25 a.m. Monday at Memorial Medical Center. 
He was born March 11, 1901, in Nokomis, the son of Henry Johnson Bauer and Emma Bear Bauer. He married Anna Englehart in 1921. She died in 1967. He married Cleo Alspaugh in 1968. Also preceding him death were a brother, Wert; and two sisters, Anna Deihl and Freda Redman. 
Mr. Bauer farmed for more than 50 years before retiring. He was a charter member of the Pawnee Assembly of God Church. 
Surviving are his wife, Cleo; son, Jesse Bauer of Pawnee; twin daughters, Joyce Henning of Rothchild, Wis., and June Bucks of Chatham; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother, Clarence Bauer of Efcanata, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews. 
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Assembly of God Church in Pawnee, with the Revs. Jene Cowsert, Samuel Henning and Patrick Rusch officiating. Burial will be in Horse Creek Cemetery in Pawnee.

C. Jane Richmond 
C. Jane Richmond, 69, of Lincoln, formerly of Springfield, died at 10:55 a.m. Monday at her residence. 
She was born Oct. 30, 1923, in Springfield, the daughter of James and Regina Zimmerman Coogan. She married James L. Richmond in 1946 in Springfield. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. 
Mrs. Richmond was a seamstress at Lincoln Development Center, retiring in 1988. She was a member of Holy Family Church in Lincoln and the church's Altar and Rosary Society. 
Surviving are her husband, James; three sons, James M. Richmond of Huntington, W.Va., Philip J. Richmond of Lincoln and Lawrence P. Richmond of Bloomington; three daughters, Margaret A. McAlexander, Rose Marie Brunsman and Mary Sue Richmond, all of Springfield; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Regina Donelan and Rose Marie Coogan, both of Springfield. 
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Church in Lincoln, with Monsignor Norman Goodman officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Linoln.

James A. Zimmerman 
James A. Zimmerman, 51, of Auburn died at 9 p.m. Sunday at his residence. 
He was born June 16, 1942, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Melby and Francis Crawford Zimmerman. He married Mary Kay Wolff in 1963 in Murphysboro. 
Mr. Zimmerman was employed as chief accountant at Capitol Machinery Co. in Springfield. 
Surviving are his wife, Mary Kay; son, J. Andrew Zimmerman of Norfolk, Va.; and several nieces and nephews. 
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Abundant Life Church in Auburn, with the Rev. Richard Egts officiating. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery.

Zona Johnson 
Zona Johnson, 82, of Greenfield died at 6 a.m. Monday at Jerseyville Manor. 
She was born Jan. 25, 1911, in Monticello, Ky., the daughter of John and Delia Roberts Spradlin. She married William A. Johnson in 1935 in Waverly. Preceding her in death were four sisters, Mae Sexton, twin Tona Spradlin, Elizabeth Wyceshella and an infant sister; and five brothers, Jess, Roy, John, Clay and Lee Spradlin. 
Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker. 
Surviving are a son, Ralph Dean Johnson of Godfrey; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary McFarlin of Springfield and Ina Zachary of Alexander. 
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Shields Memorial Home in Greenfield, with the Rev. Doug Smither officiating. Burial will be in Waverly City Cemetery. - State Journal-Register (Springfield, IL)  September 21, 1993

Anthony Charles Morales
Morales infant Anthony Charles Morales of Rochester died Thursday at St. John's Hospital shortly after birth. 
He was born Sept. 16, 1993, the son of Andrew C. Morales and Jessica Marie Ginter of Rochester. 
Surviving are his parents; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George (Marie) Ginter of Rochester, Andy Morales of Springfield and Nilda Morales of New York; great-grandparents, Mrs. Margaret Jenkins of Hillsboro, Mr. and Mrs. Edmund (Janina) Ginter of Springfield, Mrs. Manuela Morales of New York, Nidia Velez of New York and Herminio Ortiz of Puerto Rico; and three uncles. 
Private graveside services were held with the Rev. William Carpenter officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

Tyler Sutherland, 21, of Humble, Texas, formerly of Springfield, died Sunday in a Austin, Texas Hospital. 
He was born in Springfield, the son of Ned and Jean Sutherland. 
Mr. Sutherland was a member of Deerbrook Evangelical Church. 
Surviving are parents, Ned and Jean Sutherland of Humble, Texas; sister, Beth Sutherland of Humble, Texas; and grandparents, Melvin and Ruth Jensen of Appleton, Wis.
