Born September 10, 1920 in Chester, IL, the daughter of Alonzo and Cora (Lindsey) York. She married Roy Smith on December 4, 1937 in St. Louis, MO and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one nephew, Ron York of Ellis Grove, IL. One niece, Linda Grah of Chester, IL. One brother, Jack York of Berryville, AR.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call after 5pm Tuesday, January 9, 2001 at the Schroeder McClure Funeral Chapel in Chester, IL.
Funeral service for Wanda Smith will be Wednesday, January 10, 2001 at 10am at St. Maryís Catholic Church in Chester, IL with Msgr. Dennis Schaefer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials can be made in the form of Masses or to St. Maryís Catholic Church in Chester, IL.

Leatrice "Lea" Mattingly 
Funeral services will be Friday, February 9, 2001 for 74-year-old Leatrice "Lea" Mattingly of Chester, IL who died Wednesday, February 7, 2001 at St. Annís Healthcare Center in Chester, IL.
Born May 28, 1926 in Bunker Hill, MO, the daughter of Colento and Bessie (Parrish) Stewart.
Survivors include one son, Joseph "Bo" Mattingly of Chester, IL. Two daughters, Renee Mattingly of Chester, IL and Mary Farmer of Baldwin, IL. Four brothers, Bill Stewart of Chester, IL, Clarence Stewart of Toutle, WA, Colento Stewart of Sadorus, IL and Edward Stewart of Seattle, WA. Three sisters, Virginia Creech of Temple, TX, Arrahwanna Gallagher of Sadorus, IL and Ruth Ann Kieser of Champaign, IL. 19 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, two sisters and one son.

Funeral services for Leatrice Mattingly will be Friday, February 9, 2001 at 2pm at the Schroeder McClure Funeral Chapel in Chester, IL with Rev. Phil Keeton and Rev. Franklin Barton officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Chester, IL.
Memorials can be made to the Chester Cancer Clinic.

Pearl Veach 
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 7, 2001 for 89-year-old Pearl Veach of Chester, IL who died Sunday, February 4, 2001 at St. Annís Healthcare Center in Chester, IL.
Born October 30, 1911 in Salem, MO, the daughter of Sam and Ida (Mounce) Fortner. She married Roy Veach in 1928 in Farmington, MO and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Joe Veach of Peoria, IL. One daughter, Bessie Zerban of Cairo, IL. Four brothers, Pete, Bill and Jack Fortner all of Chester, IL and Buddy Fortner of Indiana. One sister, Evelyn Rednour of Chester, IL. 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters and two brothers.

Funeral service for Pearl Veach will be February 7, 2001 at 2pm at the Schroeder McClure Funeral Chapel in Chester, IL with Rick Fletcher officiating. Burial will be in Paradise Cemetery in Steeleville, IL.
