Sylvia Bellino
Sylvia Bellino, 87, Woodstock, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998, at the Fountains of Crystal Lake. She was born March 24, 1922, in Chicago to John and Christina (Delkouris) Maetains.
Visitation was Dec. 2, at the George R. Justen and Son Funeral Home, McHenry. The funeral was Dec. 2, at the funeral home. Interment was in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.

Richard I. Beers
Richard I. Beers, 71, Muskego, Wis., died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998, at Franciscan Woods Nursing Home, Brookfield, Wis. Formerly of Harvard, he was born Jan. 11, 1927, in Woodstock, to Fred and Helen (Cairns) Beers. On Feb. 19, 1949, he married Marjorie Meyers. He was a dairy farmer in the Harvard area for most of his life. He also worked in sales and service for WDCI, Colorado, for 12 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and in the Illinois National Guard for two years. He was a member of the American Legion in Colorado and Harvard, AMPI and the Farm Bureau.
Visitation was Dec. 1, at the Saunders and McFarlin Funeral Home, Harvard. The funeral was Dec. 2, at the funeral home with Rev. John Englehardt officiating. Interment was in Mount Auburn Cemetery.

Frank Giesinger
Frank Giesinger, 77, Wonder Lake, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998, at Northern Illinois Medical Center, McHenry.
Visitation was Dec. 4, at Justen’s Wonder Lake Funeral Home, followed by a funeral Mass at Christ the King Church, Wonder Lake. Interment was in St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove.

Rose Marie Ihssen, 91, Elmhurst, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1998, at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. She was a resident of Elmhurst for 63 years.

Arthur Wisz
Arthur Wisz, 82, Woodstock, and formerly of Marengo, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999, at Valley Hi Nursing Home, Woodstock. He was born Dec. 18, 1916, in Chicago, to Lawrence and Angela (Michno) Wisz. He married Estelle J. Radzienta June 9, 1941, in Chicago. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II. He began his career with Hart, Schaffner & Marx, Sewell Manufacturing as a clothing designer, and ended his career with his own company, Fashions by Wisz, Mississippi. He was a member of the International Association of Clothing Designers.
Visitation was Jan. 16 at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, Marengo. The funeral was Jan. 17 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Geoffrey Wirth officiating. Interment was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Marengo.

Laverne J. Gregory
Laverne J. Gregory, 79, Woodstock, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999, at Sherman Hospital, Elgin. He was born Oct. 1, 1919, in Capron, to Samuel and Grace (Wincapaw) Gregory. He married Gladys Anderson July 18, 1941, in Harvard. He was a dairy farmer for 50 years in the McHenry County area. He was a past member of Ridgefield Grange and Woodstock Progressives. He was a board member of the McHenry County Drainage District. He was a member of United Church of Christ, Beloit.
Visitation was 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 19, at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin and Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock. The funeral will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 20, at the funeral home, with Steve Nutzman officiating. Burial will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Harvard. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the charity of one’s choice.
