He married the former Ann Adams in 1989 in Florida. She survives.In addition to his wife and mother, surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Adam and Gail Bagley of Cayce, S.C., and Brett and Donna Bagley of Baton Rouge, La ; one daughter and son-in-law, Mareen and Eric Treese of Tempe, AZ.; two stepdaughters, Victoria Mercer and Christine Ciocco; and three granddaughters, Brandy Bagley, Carlee Bagley and Ashlyn Treese.

Edna Byers, 98, of Alton, died Apr. 25, 1997, in Alton Memorial Hospital. Her husband, Ray, preceded her in death.
