John F. Phillips, 69, of Godfrey, died Mar. 7, 2000, in St. Luke's
West Hospital in St. Louis. He married Martha Woods, who survives. Also
surviving are a son, Steve of Pontoon Beach; daughters, Susan Lasinski
and Ann Mercurio, both of Alton, Debbie Donaldson of Oceanside, Ca., and
Shelley Phillips of Chicago; and a sister, Jane Mace of Glen Carbon. Services
were in Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Memorials may be given to Metropolitan
United Methodist Church in Alton, and the Leukemia Society of America.

Edna Lorene Phillips, 85, formerly of Alton, died Sept. 1, 2000, in
Hawthorne Glen Nursing Center in Middleton, Oh. Husbands, Clinton Fowler
and William Phillips preceded her in death. Surviving are a son, Marshall
Fowler of Hudson; and a daughter, Dee Boschert of Monroe, Oh. Services
were through Elias-Smith Funeral Home in Alton. Memorials may be given
to Main Street United Methodist Church in Alton, and East Bay Camp in Hudson.

Vernon E. Phipps, 84, of Alton, died May 7, 1997, in his home. He married
Charlotte Rain, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Gary of Chicago;
daughters, Myrna Jones of Godfrey, Linda Daum of Las Vegas, and Dee Wright
of Granite City; and nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Services were in Gent Funeral Home in Alton.
Pichee 08/01/97
Teresa Ann Pichee, 86, died Sept. 1, 1997. Her husband, Ervin, survives.
Also surviving are a son, William of Phoenix, Az.; daughters, Rosemary
Roberts of Godfrey, and Jean Eubanks of St. Louis; and 18 grandchildren,
27 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. Services were through
